THE CONSCIOUS CONNECT

by Lisette Bötschi Schild, Switzerland

Guru walks with you always. All that is required by the seeker is to just take that one small step towards him with faith and surrender. Everything is then taken care of.  On this path, the easiest thing for all of us is to connect with Mohanji’s Consciousness! Lo and behold, he is immediately there by our side gently holding our hand and leading us towards moksha!

This testimonial by Lisette Bötschi Schild reiterates the importance of feeling the resonance that is Mohanji within us and being guided by the inner self. Distance and time cannot deter the inner connection with the Master as Lisette Bötschi Schild lives with her husband in Uetikon am See, 20 train minutes from Zürich/Switzerland.

 Lisette_350My spiritual Journey so far…

After 15 years of practising Zen meditation with a teacher, I spontaneously experienced in a Sesshin (five days of silent meditation) that there is nobody and nothing, just formlessness. That changed my view of life completely.

Formless is the essence of all form, it can take any form and is any form, such as a picture or a figure representing a divine aspect, an idol.

 The first contact…

In October 2016, Brahmarishi Mohanji visited Somaskanda Ashram up in the mountains near Fideris, for the inauguration of the Ashram. Fideris is not far from Klosters or Davos canton Graubünden. I felt an immediate resonance with Mohanji although I didn’t talk to him personally.

In October 2017, during a home visit, organised by friends in Richterswil, I had the opportunity to meet him again and a few days later again at the Somaskanda Ashram, where we had a Satsang. While driving back home with my friend Meret, we shared our experiences at the temple with Mohanji and spontaneously decided to register for the retreat with Mohanji at Bor Lake from 16th to 21st November 2017.

From the first Satsang at Bor Lake I felt completely accepted and loved by Mohanji and his team in all aspects. During the whole retreat, it was a feeling of continuously being showered with love.

Gently and naturally, Mohanji invited me to let go, to be myself and flow with what is at any moment. At the first contact with him, he said, “I will always be with you.” this reassurance has since then always been with me.

The divine love…..

At Somaskanda Ashram in Fideris, Switzerland, there is a wonderful dark idol of Lord Hanuman about 40 cm high. When I look into his lovely eyes, along with the warmth, and softness of his whole expression, I feel immense love.

Whenever I have the opportunity, after the Puja is finished, I say hello to Lord Hanuman and speak with him. Soon, Brahmarishi Mohanji also gave me a Mantra for Lord Hanuman to practise daily that helps me connect more deeply.

The deepening connection with grace and love….

On my return from the November retreat with Mohanji, I felt so very blessed and filled with grace, love and thankfulness. I felt absolutely rich inside and needed time to slowly and gradually digest, assimilate and apply it all. Since then, it has become a part of me.

A lot of what Mohanji taught us in his Satsangs resonates in me and I apply it in my daily life.  I sincerely attempt at being positive, not letting the negativities dominate the mind. His talk on the mind, impressions and concepts are very helpful.

 The Christmas present…

A major change in my life since my meeting with Mohanji is that awareness is heightened. I am deeply connected with my self and my life seems to flow smoothly.

In the last week before Christmas there is usually a Christmas Concert in a small church in Zurich situated near the river. Sitting outside on a bench, while waiting for my husband and some friends, in silence I thanked Mohanji for his grace to be able to attend that concert as my husband and I both love classical music. Suddenly a young woman stood in front of me and gave me a little present. She said that she had seen me walking towards the church and had the thought to give me a present. It was a bar of chocolate with blessings from Jesus. The woman disappeared after that! Once more I felt just showered with love and grace. Then my friends and  my husband turned up and we went into the church to enjoy a wonderful classical music concert.

When we are free of expectations/concepts, open and present, with no thoughts, we can experience the divine anywhere – in nature, listening to music in a concert or even in the midst of noise.

Connecting to the source through a friend….

I have a friend who is very ill. Last October, out of the blue, she was diagnosed with bone cancer and Leukemia. Being a yoga teacher, she had to cancel all her yoga classes which she had planned up to the end of the year. She sought my help to accompany her to the oncologist in Zurich and later to help her move into a nursing home.

Our relationship has deepened since then. She is a very spiritual person, and we were able to share our thoughts and experiences. This was a great blessing,  filled with grace for both of us. Towards the end of February, being very weak and exhausted, she decided for palliative care. I visited her  twice/thrice a week, according  to her wish. Everyday, I would read Mohanji’s articles and excerpts from the Q&A sessions. This  inspired me and also helpd me in moments when I struggled with myself.

 The present connect….

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by everything which needs awareness, conciousness and application. Although a lot of it is not new to me, the mind comes in with judgments and criticism of myself.  This is where the love for myself needs to come in. Sometimes I am afraid as I am not able to cope. Letting go and  trusting 100% is the only solution. But it’s not so easy to just turn on the switch!!!

Now, I often read or listen to his teachings through the website and I can feel his grace and his love. It’s enough to just think and connect with him to feel his selfless love. He encourages us to love ourselves with all our positive and negative sides. These words resonate in me – Be your silence within.

With much love and gratitude to Brahmarishi Mohanji.
