A Tapestry of Miracles: Mohanji’s Unwavering Grace and Compassion

The testimonials shared by Namitha Bhat and Sheetal Salgaonkar reveal a common thread—the profound intervention of compassion of Mohanji in the lives of animals and their human families. These stories are a testament to faith, a deep connection to a spiritual guide, and the belief that every being, regardless of size or species, is worthy of love and protection.

Miracles At the Lotus Feet of Mohanji

Raja: A Soul Saved

Raja

This miracle has truly touched my heart. Our close friends in Memphis have an evolved Golden Retriever, Raja, truly “Raja” in every way—raised with immense love and dedication. A service dog, Raja, has spent his entire life caring for beings ranging from children with terminal cancer to the elderly with dementia. Being in his presence feels like entering deep silence and stillness. Wherever he goes, people are magnetically drawn to him.

At nearly eleven, Raja’s health had been declining over the past few months. A few weeks ago, he developed a severe UTI, stopped eating, lost a lot of weight, and grew very weak despite antibiotics and treatments. Our friends, both physicians, decided to put him down on the following Sunday at 9:00 AM. I was heartbroken, as Mohanji says every being should be allowed to live a full, natural life. Still, Raja was not my dog, so I remained silent, but booked a flight from Arizona to Memphis to be with Raja that weekend.

When I arrived on Saturday, Raja’s family and close friends had gathered. Despite his frailty, his eyes still radiated love, depth, comfort, calmness, and stillness. That evening, we all tried feeding him small bites. On day three of antibiotics, he remained weak. I asked gently if they were certain about euthanasia, since otherwise Raja appeared comfortable and not suffering. His uncle asked the same. Raja’s parents explained his steady decline and how they felt he was ready.

That night, I slept beside Raja. I prayed silently to Mohanji: “Father, he is scheduled to be put down tomorrow morning. Please do what is best for him and take care of him.” I showed Raja Mohanji’s eye card; he looked into Mohanji’s eyes. I chanted Mohanji Gayatri in his ear.

Sunday morning, Raja’s dad began playing the Gayatri Mantra for Raja, preparing for the vet’s visit at 8:30 AM, after which Raja’s euthanasia and cremation were planned. Being Sunday, Mohanji’s live satsang started at 6:30 AM there, and I wanted Raja to see Mohanji. Just before the session, Raja’s dad asked me what I would do if Raja were my dog; I said I would not have put him down, and would have allowed a natural course, ensuring he was comfortable and not suffering, which Raja was not. Then, I logged into the satsang with volume muted (as my friends do not believe in Gurus) and held Raja up to the camera. Raja gazed at Mohanji. As I was logging off, I turned up the volume a bit—only to hear Mohanji say the words: “Every being wishes to live a full life.”

Within half an hour, the impossible happened. Raja suddenly perked up and stood, went to the backyard, urinated and walked the entire driveway. His vitality, charm, and his “Raja-ness” were returning. He stopped dribbling, unlike the previous day. Everyone was amazed. His parents, as physicians, reasoned that the antibiotics had finally begun working. While that may be true—especially in the elderly—I knew in my heart that the timing, the sudden turnaround, and the complete shift after Raja saw Mohanji were all the result of Mohanji’s pure grace and blessings.

They cancelled the euthanasia. Raja then ate and drank much better that day.  I flew back to Arizona that evening with a heart full of joy and gratitude. Raja has now regained all the lost weight, continues to thrive and spreads his love and radiant presence to all he meets.

I bow down at the lotus feet of Mohanji for allowing this testimonial to flow through me and for blessing this being with the miraculous experiences that follow. One of the deepest reasons I feel connected to Mohanji in this lifetime is His boundless love for animals. In this life, I have never met a living Master who is so powerfully a voice for the voiceless. To me, Mohanji is Krishna in all his splendour—protecting not only our human families, but also silently guarding every being, unconditionally.

Grace that Guarded Mickey & Minnie

Mickey & Minnie

We have two adorable indoor cats, Mickey and Minnie, who mean the world to us.

A few months ago, we hosted a dear friend from India, a Gandhian peace walker. Accustomed to sleeping outdoors, he requested to keep the bedroom window open at night. We gladly obliged, but reminded him to keep his bedroom door shut at all times so Mickey and Minnie would not escape.

The next evening, I returned home after dark with some groceries for our friend. Seeing him in the backyard, I quietly left the bag by his bedroom door, not realising it was open. The room’s lights were off. As I turned to leave, by sheer grace, the corner of my eye caught a dark shadow at the window. At first, it didn’t register, then it hit me like a jolt—it was Minnie, perched at the wide-open window, staring intently outside. Immediately, I realised that Mickey, our adventurous explorer, must have already jumped out. It was dark, the road in front of our house was busy with cars at that hour, and dread flooded me.

I quickly carried Minnie inside, shut the door, and called my husband, Vasu. He dashed out with a torchlight and, to our immense relief, found Mickey two houses down near a neighbour’s home. He carried Mickey safely back home.

We were overwhelmed with relief. Our friend initially did not grasp the gravity of the situation, since in India most cats are outdoor–indoor. But when we explained that our cats had no outdoor survival skills beyond our backyard, had never seen moving cars, and could not fend for or protect themselves, he understood the magnitude of this escape.

The whole turn of events deeply moved me, and I immediately went to Mohanji’s picture to offer thanks, and I heard his voice in my heart: “I do my job.”

Had I not stepped into the room at that precise moment, had I not noticed Minnie in the dark and all that followed, we might have lost Mickey—and perhaps Minnie too. Every detail was orchestrated so perfectly by Mohanji to safeguard them.

Abundance at the Pond

Near our home is a pond where I go to feed ducks and turtles. A few days ago, during the scorching Arizona summer, the water had dried low and become muddy, and I felt bad for the beings in the pond. I sincerely prayed to Mohanji, asking Him to shower rain and fill their home with fresh water—knowing full well that summer rains in Arizona are rare.

The very next evening, there was a massive downpour. When I went the following morning, the pond was overflowing with abundant fresh water, spilling even onto the walking path—far more than I had prayed for. In that moment, I was reminded of Mohanji’s words: “Ours is a tradition of abundance.”

Eternal Gratitude

These divine experiences have left me humbled, filling my heart with immense gratitude to Mohanji. Thank You, beloved Father, for watching over us ceaselessly, for protecting us all unfailingly, and for showering us with your boundless love, abundance, and grace.

With deep reverence, I offer my soul in eternal gratitude at your lotus feet.

Miracle Under Mohanji’s Grace: The Return of Our Beloved Sundari

by Sheetal Salgaonkar, India

Our 13-year-old, beautiful black cat, Sundari, had been unwell, exhibiting increased urination and blood in her urine. We had been taking her to the vet for treatment. On Friday, 13th August, after completing her treatment, Sundari unexpectedly pushed open the carrier lid and jumped out as we were getting into the car near the vet’s office, which is about 2 km from our home. It was raining, and despite searching everywhere, we couldn’t find her. We were deeply distressed by Sundari’s disappearance, and my husband, who had been holding the carrier at the time, felt responsible for what had happened.

Throughout this ordeal, I prayed to Mohanji continuously. The next day, I visited Mohanji Datta Tapovan, Ganeshpuri, for Janmashtami celebrations. Unexpectedly, Mohanji himself arrived in the evening. I showed him Sundari’s photo, and he blessed it, I found solace knowing that whatever the outcome, Mohanji’s grace was with Sundari.

I chanted the Mai-Tri Gayatri for Sundari, and quite a few Mohanji family members joined me in sending her Mohanji’s light and energy.  Ranjana shared that she perceived that this was not a mere accident, but an event that was destined to occur for the highest good, with Mohanji’s presence and blessings accompanying Sundari throughout.

For seven days, despite heavy rains and difficulties, we continued our search, day and night. We even contacted animal communicators, but to no avail. There were several false sightings that only added to our anguish and uncertainty.

Two days ago, someone reportedly saw a black cat like Sundari near the vet’s office, but we still could not find her. Discouraged and distressed, my husband Santosh—who previously did not follow Mohanji—began to pray with complete faith, surrendering the situation to Mohanji, trusting his wisdom. Sundari has been with us for 13 years, and the thought of her suffering in old age without shelter or food, especially when she was sick, pained us deeply. The ongoing rains, loudspeakers, and firecrackers from the approaching Ganesh festival made our search even harder.

However, Mohanji’s compassion knows no bounds. On 24th August, at 6:00 AM, just before my husband was scheduled to depart for an out-of-town trip, he encouraged me to make one final attempt to search for Sundari. As before, our search seemed fruitless. Feeling dejected as we made our way back, we noticed two hungry cats and stopped to feed them. While setting out the food, we suddenly heard persistent meowing from beneath a nearby car —and to our astonishment, there appeared Sundari: noticeably thinner and exhausted. Yet, she immediately recognised us, allowing us to bring her safely home.

Sundari

Mohanji is truly Pashupatinath, the protector of all beings, caring deeply for the voiceless. Last year also, our Sundari had wandered off ( Sundari has always possessed a bit of a vagabond spirit) but returned after four days—again by Mohanji’s grace. This experience has taught me that faith and patience are vital. In difficult times, no matter what, we must steadfastly hold onto our Guru, who always knows what is best for us. Mohanji has also supported me countless times in my efforts to feed and rescue animals.

My heartfelt gratitude and complete surrender at the lotus feet of Mohanji and to the venerable Tradition. I would also like to express my deepest thanks to my beloved Mohanji family, whose prayers and support played a crucial role in Sundari’s return, as well as to all the local people and feeders who assisted in searching for her.
