Ten years ago, I had a dream.
Night. A river. Full moon. On the bank — a white Bedouin tent. Next to the tent, Mohanji, one Saint with a long white beard, and I stand together. As we watched the river, the Saint looked at me and said, “Your path is the path of Ram.” I woke up with a deep sense that this was not an ordinary dream.
In June of last year, after a program in Zurich, I said goodbye to Mohanji. Not knowing when I would see him again made me feel even sadder. He confidently replied without hesitation, “See you on Kumbh.” Kumbha Mela, the biggest spiritual gathering in the world that happens once every 144 years, had always been on my wish list. But at the time, I just couldn’t afford to make it happen.
However, as it often happens when divine plans are involved, half a year later, in December, I found a job and received six days off at the end of January — just in time for Mauni Amavasya Snaan, one of the major dips. When Guru says, “See you”, there’s no other way it could be.
Everything went smoothly until Delhi, but the flight to Prayagraj was delayed, followed by nine hours of waiting at the airport. Later, I learned that Prayagraj had been blocked that day. Moving through the city was difficult, and reaching Mohanji’s village by transport wasn’t easy. Some people walked for hours. As it turned out, by evening, the chaos had calmed down, and I was driven right to the gates of Mohanji’s village. The wait at Delhi airport had a purpose. I felt protected.
After just three hours of sleep, the moment had come: Ganga and the first dip. It was cold outside. I dipped three times and wanted to get out. My whole body was trembling from the cold, but a voice within whispered, “You’re not going anywhere. Come on — dip, dip, dip. You didn’t come here to run away.”

I stayed.
In Ganga. In prayer. With no resistance.
Some inner space expanded. Silence deepened.
I felt guided. Protected.
The next day, Mohanji arrived. A promise is a promise. We saw each other. I got the Abishekam—a blessing—silent and complete. That afternoon, I walked along the river with a group of friends. The crowd seemed endless. And then, returning to Mohanji’s village, another dimension. Mohanji’s village was basking in peace. A tangible cocoon of protection.
The next day, I left for Zurich. On the plane — three seats just for me. When the flight attendant heard I had just returned from Kumbh, he provided special treatment in terms of food, juices and extra blankets. I felt protected.
A few days after returning, I asked Mohanji about a dream. He said, “Ram is Consciousness. The path of Rama is the path of Raja Yoga.” A path where we are, in every single moment, protected.
