Kumbh Mela 2019 with Mohanji – a dream comes true

Kumbh Mela was always a dream since childhood and to be able to attend this someday was indeed a big milestone in my life. Due to the grace of the Tradition, I had the opportunity of doing my first Kumbh in the year 2015 in Nasik with Mohanji and again in 2019 in Prayag. I had read about the Kumbh in Prayag in the book ‘The Autobiography of a Yogi’. I would imagine the visuals of how it would be to be there in person but never knew one day I would physically attend one.

With His beautiful eyes bright and twinkling; Mohanji said, “Come again for the dip if you can.” Hearing these words, my soul firmly decided to make it to the Kumbh again….. Mohanji meant it seriously, but with all humility, He said, “I am only suggesting.”

A Dip At The Kumbh Mela – Freedom From A Bond

And then, like magic, peace descended upon me. With tears in my eyes I touched His feet and thanked Him for burning my karma. I had washed away my sins; my Kumbh Mela happened at that very moment. He had called me to that place for a specific reason and He was smiling serenely as this realisation dawned upon me. Something inside me changed that very moment and I realised what peace actually is. The artificiality was gone and I became a child again. I hugged each one while they were leaving and experienced true love.
