Healed in a dream

By Navodita Upadhyay, USA

An experience of being healed through a dream!

Mohanji Centre of Benevolence (MCB) USA announced the arrival of Mohanji here in MCB Virginia in July-August of 2024. I was thrilled about Mohanji’s visit and immediately registered for all the programs. Everything was on schedule, and I planned to leave on Friday, July 27th. However, on Thursday morning, the day before my travel, I couldn’t get out of bed. My body was aching badly, and I found that my throat was also sore, making it difficult to swallow. These symptoms led me to strongly believe that I might have Covid, as I had just met someone who tested positive 2-3 days before. I had a very bad experience with Covid two years ago, with the exact same symptoms. I was 100% sure that I had Covid. I moved to a different room to avoid contact with my family members.

As the day progressed, the symptoms worsened. I started feeling feverish, and strong chills set in. In July, when summer was at its peak with temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, I was inside my room, covering myself with multiple heavy blankets because I felt cold. A large lump, like a ball, appeared on my neck just beneath my right ear.

It was clear that I would not be able to travel in my condition. I felt very sad about not being able to meet Mohanji and attend all the programs, especially since all the arrangements had already been made. That night, I reluctantly took my COVID test. While I was waiting for the results, I kept saying, “Mohanji, if it’s positive, then I’m done.” When the result came in 15 minutes, I could not believe my eyes—it was negative. I checked multiple times to see if it was really negative.

Since the result was negative, the next morning, even though my health was not improving, I tried to function normally. I prepared my 2-year-old for daycare, and when she left, I went back to bed to rest. I lay down and started listening to the Power of Purity meditation. Suddenly, I burst into tears, thinking that I wouldn’t be able to go to the MCB. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

In my sleep, I had a dream. In my dream, I saw that I was traveling on a bus. I also saw Mohanji traveling on the same bus, but he was three or four rows ahead of me. Then I saw a room with a stage, and there was an empty white sofa on that stage. That sofa was exactly the same as the one where Mohanji sits whenever he visits MCB USA. Then I saw Mohanji sitting on the sofa, wearing a white robe. I went near him and bowed down. My head touched his knees.

Mohanji tried to place his hand on my head, and I moved my hair to make way for him. As soon as he laid his hand on my head, I felt a surge of energy passing through me. It was very strong, and I could feel the energy flowing inside my head. This continued for a couple of minutes before Mohanji removed his hand. As soon as he removed his hand, I woke up. I was filled with excitement and knew that I was going to the MCB no matter what. I grabbed my phone to reschedule my bus ticket for Sunday. Sunday was Pranaprathishta day, but I would arrive around the evening and would not be able to attend the ceremony. However, I was fine with it because at least I was going, and that’s what mattered the most.

The next day, Saturday, my health improved significantly, especially since there were no fever or chills. I went shopping for last-minute items for my Sunday travel to the MCB. Suddenly, I received a call around 8:30 pm from someone saying that she was leaving for the MCB the next day at 6 am and asked if I wanted to join her. I could not believe it and started laughing. I had been looking for a ride to the MCB and had talked to multiple people, but nothing was working out, so I had gone ahead and booked a bus ride. The bus ride takes nearly 6-7 hours, while a private vehicle only takes about 3 hours to reach the MCB. I was very happy and grateful that I could now attend Pranapratistha as well.

Sunday was a travel day; everything went as planned. When I finally reached the MCB, guess what? Pranapratistha had just started. I went near and participated in the ceremony. Everyone was busy with the event. After a while, Mohanji took a break and sat in a nearby chair. I went to bow down to Mohanji. He looked at me, and we both smiled and nodded our heads. That smile was not a normal smile; Mohanji’s expression said, “Look, I called you,” while my expression conveyed, “Thank you, Mohanji, for calling me.” That smile was a form of communication between us without speaking a single word.

During one of the satsangs, a participant shared her experience. After hearing her, I went to Mohanji and said, “Mohanji, whatever happened to her happened to me as well; you came into my dream.” Mohanji interrupted and said, “I am with you.” I immediately bowed down and looked at him. He looked straight at me and repeated, “I am with you.” He said, “I am with you,” twice. For a moment, I lost my sense of time; I felt he already knew what I was going to say. I couldn’t believe what I had just heard—it was a big blessing. I shared this incident with my parents and those around me.

I truly feel blessed, and I keep repeating this to myself. I often think about what I must have done in my past lives to meet Mohanji in this lifetime. I strongly feel that meeting a living Master is a very rare moment in one’s life. It takes lifetimes of good karma to come into the proximity of a living Master. Meeting a living Master is not a coincidence. As Mohanji says, “Nothing is accidental.”

Gratitude to Mohanji!!
