Shirdi to Vasai – Divine Intervention & Promise

By Advaith Shah, India

My journey really began in the first week of January. I travelled to Shirdi to visit the Samadhi Mandir of Shirdi Sai Baba. When I finally walked up near Baba’s Samadhi, a strange, intense physical heat took over my entire body, and I told my mom about it as I started sweating within seconds. I did not ask for money, success, or solutions to my life’s problems. Standing there, I just surrendered completely. I mentally told Baba that whatever he wanted for my life, I would be okay with it – I handed him the wheel.

After returning home, I found myself watching more and more videos of Mohanji, whom I had never known about at first, but I had watched his videos on YouTube, feeling a quiet connection grow towards Sai Baba.

The Thursday Clue at Babhola Naka

Fast forward to a Thursday morning in mid-May, I went to the Babhola Naka Sai Baba Mandir in Vasai (an area in Mumbai, India). I had been there before too since childhood, but that morning felt different. The inner sanctum gate, which usually separates the crowd from the main statue, was completely open. For the first time, we could literally step inside the sacred space and touch Baba’s life-size feet. I bowed down in absolute gratitude. The priest gave us a flower blessing. I felt completely at peace.

However, the real shock happened right before we reached the temple. On the street outside, I noticed a poster with Mohanji’s face on it. I was amazed to see him there, but the entire text was written in Malayalam. I could not read a single word. Instinctively, I took a photograph of the poster on my phone and went home.

I uploaded the image on Google Gemini and asked what it meant. The translation knocked me back – on May 17th at 9:00 AM, Mohanji was coming to Vasai for a spiritual Satsang on Sanatana Dharma.

It was happening right in my own neighbourhood. I immediately called the contact number listed on the poster. The organiser told me quietly, “No ticket needed, just come and be seated.”

The Guard at the Gate (The Dream)

Two nights before the event, Mohanji came to me in a dream. In the dream, he was standing physically right at my own society gate in Vasai, accompanied by two of his devotees. Even in the dream world, I could instantly recognise his divine, glowing face. He did not say anything, but by standing at my gate, he was silently showing me that he had already arrived in my life. The boundary between his world and mine had vanished.

The Meeting (May 17)

When Sunday morning came, the reality of the event area, the lamps, the oils, and the volunteers preparing for his arrival overwhelmed me with intense anxiety. I did not know how to handle the energy. When the music started and Mohanji walked in from behind, I bowed down, caught in a blur of shock, confusion, and raw emotion. Right then, he bowed back to me in total humility.

During the program, because it was conducted mostly in Malayalam, I silently prayed in my mind, “Please, I know English. I do not know Malayalam at all. Can you please do it in English?” Almost immediately, he began weaving English sentences into his talk, addressing the very barrier I was struggling with.

When the time came for photographs, my shyness kept me frozen at the front of the stage; however, a society uncle who was organising the event spotted me, cleared the crowd, and told me to go up. I walked onto the stage, touched Mohanji’s feet, and told him the exact truth of my journey:

“Sai Baba has brought me here to meet you. I also saw you in my dreams two days back. You came to me.”

Mohanji looked at me, asked my name and lovingly patted my back in deep recognition.

The Double Promise & The Golden Shield

As the venue cleared out for lunch, I was standing quietly by the exit gate. Mohanji walked up to me, shook my hand firmly, and said, “We will meet. We will meet again.” He walked four or five steps ahead into the crowd, then stopped, turned completely around to look at me, and repeated it, “We will meet again.”

Before leaving the venue later that afternoon, I saw him one last time outside. I walked up to him and asked for his guidance, “Mohanji, can you please bless me and my life? You know, everything is just… I do not know…”

He looked at me with absolute stillness and gave me the golden promise that is still echoing in my chest:

“Sure, just remember me, I will be there.”

One of his assistants immediately handed me a photo card of Mohanji. I put it in my pocket and left.

The Truth of It All

When I trace it back, the line is perfectly straight. I surrendered to Sai Baba in Shirdi; Baba opened his sanctum to me at the Babhola Naka Sai Baba Mandir in Vasai, pointed me to a poster I could not even read, cleared the language barrier, sent Mohanji to my society gate in a dream, and placed me directly in front of him to receive a lifelong promise of protection.

I have been claimed by the lineage, and I am entirely grateful.

Deepest gratitude and regards.
