A Glimpse Beyond Words: Witnessing the State of a Master

by Subhasree Thottungal, London

Some experiences are so profound that words can barely contain them. They leave us humbled, speechless, and forever transformed. What I am about to share is one such experience that unfolded over a few extraordinary days at the end of May and beginning of June 2026.

It was during the Harmony Festival held in MPC Croatia from 29th to 31st May. I had gone there for just a couple of days. On the first day, 29th May, I was volunteering in cooking Indian food for the festival. On the second day, after spending some time with Mohanji, I had to return to London.

Leaving from MPC Croatia with a heavy heart, just before Mohanji’s Satsang

As I was travelling to the airport, Mohanji’s satsang was going on, and then he introduced a new guided process – the “Harmony Process”. I was listening to the satsang and the guided process while travelling in a car on my way to the airport. As Mohanji guided us to feel the energy behind everything within us and to harmonise with our own existence, something unexpected happened.

There was no awareness of my body, no awareness of anything around me. I could only feel Mohanji. Nothing else existed.

In that moment, an indescribable feeling of completeness arose. A deep contentment that needed nothing more. It felt as if every search had ended, every question had dissolved, and every longing had found its home.

For a few moments, there was only fulfilment. When the process ended, I opened my eyes and, after a few minutes of silence, I asked my fellow passengers who were travelling with me, “How are you feeling? I am feeling total contentment, so happy!”

The Shiva Swaroopa:

31st May, Sunday afternoon, was Mohanji’s weekly talk. It was also the final day of the festival in MPC Croatia.

I wasn’t aware that, just before coming to the weekly satsang, Mohanji had completed the Shiva Linga consecration. I had no idea what had happened during that consecration.

But as Mohanji sat in his chair and started talking, his face had an amazing calmness. He looked extremely handsome, of divine beauty. Even though he was speaking, he seemed not to be in physical presence, totally empty. Suddenly, a thought came silently to my mind: “Shiva.”

Mohanji looked and felt like Shiva.

Even the grey portion of his hair on the left side looked like a crescent moon.

Just a few minutes later, someone from the audience mentioned the Shiva consecration, and Mohanji explained what had happened. The process that would usually have taken seven days had been completed in seven minutes.

Slowly, more and more sharings came from the ground about how Mohanji’s head itself had merged into the Shiva Linga. (Militza Bulatovic has already shared her testimonial.)

I then understood why I was feeling Shiva while looking at Mohanji on the Zoom call.

The First Healing Session:

While I was with Mohanji before leaving Croatia, he had mentioned having some stomach trouble and also feeling some numbness on his left cheek. I had intended to do the massage that we were doing during his Bell’s Palsy days, but in the rush, I didn’t manage to do the massage or the healing for his stomach.

After returning to London, I enquired about his stomach issue and offered him distant Mai-Tri healing, which he allowed me to do. During the healing session, powerful visions emerged.

The first sensation was intense heat in the stomach area, as if molten lava was flowing inside. The energy was immense.

Then a series of images appeared. I first saw one of our cows, appearing almost like Mother Yashoda (the cow in MCB Scotland). Soon, many more cows appeared. There was a feeling that they were gathering together before some significant event, as if nature itself was preparing for something vast.

Then suddenly everything disappeared.

I found myself in a vast expanse of deep blue space.

There were no images.

No emotions.

No thoughts.

Only pure emptiness.

Time seemed to stop. In that infinite void, everything had dissolved.

I understood that Mohanji was churning something really huge.

Looking back, that final vision felt like the ultimate state—beyond form, beyond movement, beyond identity.

Mohanji was Shiva. Mohanji was Maha Vishnu too!

There was also a strong inner understanding that something immense was being churned at a cosmic level. The fire and intensity felt connected to a process of purification, much like Shiva holding and transforming poison for the welfare of the world.

The Second Healing Session:

The next day, on 1st June, early in the morning, when Mohanji was ready, I started the follow-up healing session, which became one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life.

From the very beginning, I sensed a state unlike anything I had ever witnessed before.

During the healing, I perceived Mohanji in a state that appeared to be one of complete absorption, so deep that it felt as though he could effortlessly slip into total samadhi.

The experience was overwhelming.

There was a strong inner knowing that these were crucial moments and that his physical presence in the world was still deeply needed.

The feeling was so intense that I humbly requested Mohanji to follow a few instructions:

  1. Please, Mohanji, as soon as you read this message, take a sip of water, tea, or whatever you have nearby.
  2. Today, could someone bring you Baba’s shawl (the inner white shawl would also be fine)? While you are sitting, please wrap the shawl around yourself for some time. And when you go to bed, could the shawl be kept near your head, please?
  3. Today, tomorrow, and the day after are very crucial. Even if you would prefer to be left alone, please keep some people around you. Perhaps you could watch a funny movie together with a few others.

After the healing ended, my own physical state was unlike anything I had experienced before.

Throughout the years, I have done healing sessions for Mohanji during difficult periods, including times of intense pain and even after his accident. In all those situations, I remained stable, objective, and detached.

This time was different.

My heart was racing.

My limbs became numb.

My thighs felt heavy.

My eyelids did not want to open.

There was a lump-like sensation in my throat.

It was not fear.

It was awe.

I had witnessed many aspects of Mohanji through healing sessions before, including expanded forms that were difficult to describe. But witnessing what felt like the threshold of complete samadhi was an entirely different experience.

Later, when I asked whether something unusual had happened physically, Mohanji confirmed that his heart had briefly stopped and that an alert from his watch had been triggered.

In that moment, many pieces of the experience suddenly made sense.

A Healing Beyond the Healer – the third healing session:

Later that evening, after Mohanji returned, I checked on him for the final healing session.

It remains one of the most surreal and sacred experiences I have ever had.

I asked him if he had Baba’s shawl with him near his head while lying down. He confirmed, and I started the distant Mai-Tri session.

I was sitting in our “Mohanji Room” when I began the session. As I prayed before Mohanji’s photograph, something remarkable happened.

The statue of Sai Baba in the sleeping posture, which is kept next to the Mohanji chair along with Mohanji’s photograph, appeared alive.

Baba’s eyes looked real.

For a moment, it felt as if Baba Himself was looking directly at me.

I immediately moved closer, placing one hand on Baba’s head and the other at His feet. As I closed my eyes, a profound feeling arose that I was no longer the one conducting the healing.

It felt as though Baba Himself was healing Mohanji.

Behind Baba’s sleeping statue stood Lord Jagannatha, appearing as though He was lovingly embracing and protecting him.

Soon, two magnificent visions emerged.

On one side was Kailash.

On the other hand, Mohanji appeared in Ananta Shayana, resting upon the cosmic serpent and floating on the Kshira Sagara—the Ocean of Consciousness.

Once again, the symbolism was unmistakable.

Shiva and Maha Vishnu.

Stillness and preservation.

Dissolution and sustenance.

The vision remained throughout the healing session.

I sat there, absorbed in witnessing, forgetting my aching legs and the discomfort of kneeling. Time seemed irrelevant.

When the healing ended, there was no urge to analyse or interpret. There was only silence.

I quietly went to sleep and remained in a state of deep rest until four o’clock the following morning.

When Words Are Not Enough:

There are moments when life allows us to glimpse realities beyond ordinary perception.

Moments that remind us that great Masters operate from dimensions that cannot be fully understood through logic or language.

These few days felt like one such glimpse.

What unfolded was not merely the healing sessions. It was an invitation to witness profound states of consciousness, divine protection, cosmic processes, and the mysterious ways in which Masters continue their work for humanity.

As I reflected on everything that had unfolded over those few extraordinary days, one thing became abundantly clear: grace had been present throughout. The visions, the profound states of consciousness, the divine protection, and the opportunity to witness dimensions beyond ordinary perception were all gifts beyond measure.

The following morning, Mohanji shared a simple message:

“I slept quite well. Thank you so much. Your healing was felt like a balm.”

With those few words, everything came full circle. After witnessing intense churning, profound stillness, and states beyond comprehension, it was deeply reassuring to know that the healing had served its purpose. For me, it was not merely a confirmation of the healing itself, but a reminder of the sacred bond between Master and disciple, where grace flows silently, effortlessly, and always with perfect timing.

Some experiences are beyond explanation. They can only be received with gratitude, treasured in the heart, and remembered as moments when the veil briefly lifted, allowing a glimpse of the extraordinary.

Thank you, Mohanji, for these extraordinary opportunities to witness glimpses of your true state. My head bows down at your lotus feet with deep gratitude and surrender.

I love you, Mohanji, from the smallest cell of my existence to the vastness of yours, where all boundaries dissolve into oneness.

Forever at your feet.
