A unique Kailash Yatra!

By Chakradhar Yakkala, Switzerland

MuktinathTemple.jpg

I am Chakradhar Yakkala from India, living in Switzerland. After reading the book ‘Autobiography of an Avadhoota’ last year, I got to know about Mohanji, and was keen to meet Him for the sole reason because He is an enlightened Master from my beloved Shirdi Sai Baba’s lineage. I met Mohanji for the first time in Slovenia in 2017, and received Shaktipat from Him. While leaving the satsang, I thought I might not meet Him again. Intriguingly, two months after meeting Him, I felt for the first time that He was talking to me telepathically. He said to me, “Come to Kailash.” I replied, “Yes, I will.” Then He asked, “Would you also come to Kailash if you lose your job?” I said, “Yes, I will come even if I lose my job!”

Kailash_with_Mohanji.jpg

Later, I said to myself, “Me and losing my job, impossible.” Afterwards, when I left for work, the first thing my boss said to me was, “Sorry Chakri, I am running out of funds, and I have to terminate your job contract!” This was highly unexpected and with just 6 months of job remaining, I had to really save money to be able to make it to Kailash. Two months down the line, I was very agitated one day thinking about what will happen to me if I spend all the remaining savings to go to Kailash, but was still prepared to do that. With an agitated mind I went to bed, and during my sleep at some point, I could see that Mohanji appeared and stood next to me. His body was only made of white light. I could see Him with closed eyes. He said to me, “Don’t worry, I will take care of you!”

An angel in our midst. In Limpopo.

The next day following the dream, I got a call for a job interview from who I hardly even expected a response. With almost no effort, I cleared three different phases of the interview, and they offered me a job! Things happened in the most miraculous way for me on my way to get this new job.

Since the day I saw Mohanji in my dream (as mentioned above), I never felt any separation from Him. As Mohanji says, “You will know that you are connected to Me when you don’t feel any separation wherever I am.”

mohanji_connecting.jpg

I could connect to Him from anywhere and anytime, and He would provide me with support. Only then did I become convinced that He is my very own Guru, always protecting and guiding me in mysterious ways. As He repeatedly mentions, “I always do my job,” I would say that it is 200% true, and He comes to you in the most unexpected ways because He is an ocean of consciousness neither bound by space or physicality.

I applied for “Kailash with Mohanji 2018,” and my application was selected by Mohanji’s team. I paid the entire fee in advance, and was eagerly waiting to go to Kailash. Two weeks before my travel to Kathmandu from Switzerland for the Kailash trip, I was asked to fly to India a week before my intended date of travel, in order to submit my passport at the Chinese embassy in India for acquiring a Tibetan visa. To submit the passport 1-2 weeks in advance was a new rule imposed by the Chinese authorities in 2018 for the Indian passport holders who are willing to travel to Kailash. I could not prepone my travel and therefore, sent my passport from Switzerland by FedEx, a courier which usually delivers the parcel to India in a span of 24 hours. I sent my passport to an India / Nepal based travel agency that works with Mohanji’s foundation for organizing Kailash trips every year. Their plan was to get my Tibetan visa in 5 working days and return my passport along with the visa, which should reach me by post before my intended date of travel. Unexpectedly, my passport got stuck at the Indian customs for some reason and was not delivered to the intended receiver! I had to write to the Indian customs and had to make many phone calls to get my passport back, without being delivered to the intended travel agency. All my hopes to visit Kailash were shattered and I received my passport back without the Tibetan visa, two days before my already planned journey from Switzerland to Kailash. The travel agency requested me to come to Kathmandu, Nepal despite not having a Tibetan visa. They told me that they will try to contact some influential people who might help me to get a visa for Tibet.

Mohanji_Kathmandu_2

I then flew to Kathmandu, handed over my passport to the travel agency and waited for 2 days. They tried their best to get a Tibetan visa for me, but their efforts were of no avail. When my visa to Tibet did not happen, I went to Mohanji and said, “Father, they say that my visa is not going to happen,” and He simply replied, “That is because you are going to come along with Me to Kailash next year.” After sometime, I asked, “Father, where should I go now,” and He said, “You go to Muktinath and make the best use of that place.” On that same evening, all the people who were going to Kailash had a satsang with Mohanji, and He said to everyone, “Chakradhar will tell you all how difficult it is to go to Muktinath.”

Mohanji_Kathmandu_4.jpg

Mohanji_Kathmandu_4.jpg

The route is Khatmandu-Pokhra-Jomsom-Muktinath. There are short duration flights of approx. 20 min connecting from Khatmandu to Pokhra and Pokhra to Jomsom. From Jomsom, one can go to Muktinath either by Jeep in 1.5hrs or by an 8 hour trek of 25km. Logically speaking, it shouldn’t be difficult to go to Muktinath, therefore, initially, I couldn’t understand why Father said to everyone that it would be difficult for me to go there. After reaching Pokhra, I waited for 5 hours to take a flight to Jomsom. All the flights were cancelled that day due to unfavorable weather. I thought of taking a flight the next day, but the airport authorities told me that the chances of planes flying to Jomsom the next day seem bleak.

Pokhra_jhomsom.jpg

Pokhra_jhomsom.jpg

In the meantime, a woman from Ukraine came to me and asked if I would like to share a jeep ride to Jomsom with her. She also told me that she is a spiritual seeker, and was planning to go to Muktinath. I agreed and travelled by road with her to Jomsom. It took 12 hours to just travel 90km by road! It was the most difficult of all the journeys I had done in my entire life! 90% of the time, I was shaking or jumping in the jeep due to the nature of the route; the roads were also narrow and highly risky at many points. In addition, our jeep stopped at random places and at times either because there was a landslide or someone’s vehicle was broken, which blocked the entire route. That is when I understood the words of our Father, “Chakradhar will tell you how difficult it is to go to Muktinath.”

The next day, I wanted to trek from Jomsom to Muktinath, and the woman from Ukraine also joined me for trekking. On our way she said to me, “You know, I have been trying to connect to Shambhala Masters in my meditation for a very long time, and I got an intuition to make a trip to Muktinath. On the trip I will meet someone who will help me connect with Shambhala Masters, which will help me in my evolution.” In addition, she kept on referring to golden color all the time. I was extremely surprised and said to her, “I think I’m the one you are supposed to meet, and my Master Mohanji is connected to Shambhala and represents a lineage known as the Golden Tradition of Shambhala.” She was happy after knowing about our lineage, and I gave her a photo of Mohanji with the foundation logo. I felt extremely privileged that I became a part of Mohanji’s plan to draw a deserving seeker towards Him and our tradition.

There are 108 sacred water streams in the form of a semicircle behind the temple of Muktinath. One needs to take a shower from all those cold streams, and then take a dip in the two ponds in front of the temple before going near the temple’s sanctum sanctorum for the darshan of Lord Muktinath.

streams.jpg

I took showers in all those streams on my first day, followed by dips in both the ponds around 3pm, and found that the temple was closed. No one around, I sat in the open in front of the closed temple to do some simple meditation. In no time, the temple guard came to me and said, “Please come sir, I will get it opened for you.” He called a Buddhist nun in charge of the temple, and she came and opened the temple just for the sake of my darshan alone! Although I was nobody there, I was given a beautiful darshan like a special guest, due to the blessings of our Father.

Muktinath_Temple_2.jpg

Few days before I reached Muktinath, Mohanji’s team, upon his request, sent all of us a document of a highly evolved alien’s secret interview. I started reading it on the same day I got it, and went on reading all throughout my journey towards Muktinath. After my first darshan of Muktinath, I continued reading that document, and I came across a paragraph where the alien speaks about an advanced being from their race who came to our planet to fight dark forces and guide earthlings towards liberation. The alien says that the people on earth refer to that advanced being as Vishnu. In other words, the alien was talking about liberation, a word synonymous to Mukti; and it is talking about an exalted being who is often referred in the Indian languages also as Nath (other than the yogic tradition). The subtle meaning is that the alien is referring to Lord Vishnu’s role as Muktinath, and I ended up reading that paragraph in the village of Muktinath, after a few hours of having my first darshan of lord Muktinath!

muktinath

I was amazed at the timing when I came across those lines in the document, and my devotion towards Lord Muktinath multiplied 100 fold!

The day I reached Muktinath, a dog continuously barked standing outside the hotel of my residence that night for a few hours. I strongly felt like the dog was barking for me (never had such a feeling before). The same thing happened on the second and the third nights post my arrival. On the third night, I stood outside my hotel’s residence and tried to pet that dog, and it permitted me to do that effortlessly without any problem. I went into my hotel and came out after a few minutes with some cookies and searched for that dog. It was standing a few feet away from my hotel in the dark, in the company of another dog. I called it and took out some cookies, and it came to me running; surprisingly, the other dog ran away despite seeing that I was there with some cookies in my hand to feed them. I fed the dog to my heart’s fill, and went back to my hotel room. The next day I was exploring some nearby mountains along with someone from the hotel staff. While I was trekking, I asked my co-trekker from the hotel, if it is normal that some dog comes and continuously barks in the night outside our hotel every day? He answered that it is not so and he has been observing that phenomenon only for the past 3 nights (exactly since the day I arrived there). His answer confirmed my doubt that the dog had indeed come for me, and intriguingly, after I fed that dog, it had never barked again outside my hotel’s residence on any night since then, until my last day there. I felt then that it might be some karmic cleansing Mohanji had planned for me at that sacred place, which was reinforced to me later by a great being I met there, about whom I will mention later.

On my second day of arrival, I went to the room where they perform yagna in the premises of Muktinath temple. I expressed my interest to the priest in charge to perform yagna alongside him.

Muktinath_Priest.jpg

He told me to come the next morning, and then asked me if I had eaten or not. I told him that I was planning to eat and requested him to join me. My plan was to take him to a hotel and feed him, but instead, he took me to his small ashram, offered a place for me to stay and sleep as long as I wanted without asking anything in return, and made some tasty chai for me. While I was having that chai and talking to one of his friends, he cooked for me; with the very minimum resources he had and offered me that food with all his heart. I was so touched by his love and compassion that it almost brought tears to my eyes. After I had my food, he insisted that I come to him twice a day and eat with him while he would cook for me. Afterwards, every time I met him, he would first enquire if I had eaten, then would joke about some random thing, followed by laughing and hugging. He was a rare being of pure and immense love, and I was so lucky and blessed to meet him in Muktinath.

On one of my days there, I did an arduous trek, and was very tired. I was on my way back to my hotel room after the trek, and came across a 60 yr old couple from India who could not walk up the hill leading to Muktinath temple. Due to their severe health complications, they were giving up. Although I was exhausted, I somehow felt like helping them to reach the temple of Muktinath. I started talking to them, held their hands firmly and walked along with them. I continuously tried to divert their attention from their fear and pain to something else by talking about random matters while they were walking with me. Whenever they felt like giving up, which happened multiple times, I gave them encouragement, and somehow managed to take them to the temple of Muktinath on the mountain, while holding their hands all the time. After they had their darshan, I brought them back to their jeep which was about to leave Muktinath. The husband asked me why I felt like helping them when I saw them. I told him that there is one lesson, which I absorbed well from my Master, and that was to always see what I could do for people around me in need, which is what made me come to you naturally without much thinking. That night, when I went to bed, I had a strong stimulation of my third eye that never happened to me before with such intensity. I felt like Mohanji blessed me immensely for implementing His teaching in a wholehearted manner.

Mountains_of_Muktinath.jpg

On my last day in Muktinath, I went to the main temple’s priest, and requested him to chant mantras for transmitting blessings of Muktinath to my biological family and Mohanji’s family, by telling the gotras and the names of both the families. After the temple priest finished chanting the mantras, I asked him for directions to hike up in the mountains beyond Muktinath. After explaining the route, he also told me without asking that there is a Swami up there living alone in the mountains doing his spiritual practices. I proceeded with my trekking as per the plan, beyond the temple, and I did not come across any isolated structure indicating the presence of any Swami up there. In the late afternoon, when I trekked back, I saw an isolated room like structure from a distance. I said to myself, if that Swami lives there, and if I am supposed to meet him, he should appear visible to me outside his residence. I saw him outside his residence in a minute, and I went straight there.

Swami_at_Muktinath.jpg

He invited me inside his single room that had a cave like setting, and is located in the middle of nowhere. I looked into his eyes that were like an embodiment of stillness. He lives there and walks on those mountains barefooted throughout the year. I introduced myself, and told him that my Guruji had asked me to visit Muktinath, and that is why I was there. When I showed him the picture of Mohanji, he looked and paid respects to our Father in the photograph. When I sat down to talk to him, his first words were the following, “I was expecting you this morning, and even made tea for you. You did not even see me when you were trekking up, you just passed this way. I thought of calling you by shouting from a distance, but then I felt like I am not supposed to call you.” He then added, “You cannot come here without your Guru’s kripa, only sadhaks with Guru kripa can come here. Lord Vishnu Himself lived in this room and did some spiritual practices 2.5 million years ago. You can meditate and experience for yourself!”

Photo 8

When I sat down and closed my eyes, it was so powerful that I was strongly pulled into meditation. I literally could not open my eyes, and had to force them open after some time (normally it is vice versa, I cannot close my eyes for long, hahaha!). By the time I opened my eyes, he made some sweet tasting tea for me, which only I had to drink. I then touched his feet and asked for his blessings, which he gave me by touching my spine in a certain way. When I was about to leave, he expressed his interest to also walk along with me down to the Muktinath temple and also further down to Muktinath village. I had developed pain in my ankles due to some tough trekking, which miraculously disappeared without a trace after that short time I spent in his residence! While we were walking down towards the temple, I held an umbrella for him while it was raining, and he was teaching me different things like a loving father.

I am mentioning here only the key aspects of our conversation. Without me saying anything about my spiritual practices, he said to me, “Sadhaks/spiritual practitioners can do any spiritual practice effortlessly except the one that is taught by their Guru, because when you try to do that, your karma comes in your way.” This was exactly what I was doing unconsciously (performing different spiritual practices except Consciousness Kriya given to me by our Father Mohanji) at that point in time! He then said to me, “Feeding dogs cleanses the inherent demonic patterns within you,” which reminded me of the feeding I did to a dog few days before, outside my hotel (as explained above). He walked barefoot on that difficult mountain terrain, and was a little extreme in dealing with himself; I thought of our Guruji Avadhoota Nadananda as he reminded me of him. He then immediately started to speak about the sadhana of Goddess Tara, which our Guruji Nadananda did (as mentioned in his autobiography)! He then asked me to buy him some cigarettes, and took me to the village of Muktinath. Out of all the shops that were there, he took me to one particular shop and said, “You buy from here.” I had a verbal fight with the shopkeeper of that shop a couple of days ago! I went to that shop and had to drop my ego completely in order to ask him for cigarettes. Also, the shopkeeper could not be angry with me because I was there with the Swami whom he very much respected. Therefore, we both had to keep our egos down and interact pleasantly in front of the Swami. After I bought the cigarettes and offered to Swami, he bid farewell to me with the following words, “Next time if you come here, of course only by the wish and will of your Guruji, please come and stay with me; don’t stay in these hotels!”

By the compassionate blessings of our Father Mohanji, I had such an amazing and spontaneous pilgrimage to Muktinath that will be etched in my heart forever.

Now comes the experience of Kailash. Two weeks after I returned to Switzerland from Muktinath, one night, I did my Consciousness Kriya and went to sleep. In my sleep, I felt as if I was lifted up from my sleeping spot, and I started travelling somewhere. In other words, my subtle body left my physical body and went on a journey. During my journey, it was indicated that I was going to Kailash. I was so excited thinking that I would get to see many beautiful mountains and lakes like Gauri kund on my travel. I saw none of what I thought I would see or was excited to see. Instead, after travelling sometime, I saw some dark hills, something like an abandoned place. Mohanji was standing there alone. In no time, I transformed into a tiny triangle, and merged with Mohanji at a particular point located on the midline of His forehead. After merging, He said to me, “You are in Kailash now.” Merging into Him was an experience beyond all experiences; it felt as if I ceased to exist as an individual person or entity, and only existed like some shapeless and formless witness. Next morning, when I woke up from my sleep, I felt extremely tired. Few minutes later, I could recollect the whole experience in my awakened state. Sometime later, I could also recall Mohanji explaining in one of His satsangs about Kailash, that the journey to outward Kailash is to reach the inner Kailash that is already present in every one of us. Father also mentions in that satsang that the inner Kailash is located between Ajna chakra and Sahasrara chakra, and the kundalini after raising beyond Ajna Chakra has to pass through that inner Kailash before it reaches its beloved Shiva residing in the Sahasrara chakra. In other words, Mohanji unified me into His own inner Kailash, which is a rare and precious gift that goes far beyond the power of my articulation! Such is the love of a true Master that always flows towards you like an infinite river beyond your imagination and comprehension, when there is trust that is firmly rooted in Him.

Guru Tujhe Salaam

— From A Devotee’s heart

Mohanji_Datta.jpg

“Salute to you, oh my Guru” – is what this title above means. In all honesty, a salute,

a pranam, a mantra chant, a kiss on His feet or hand, is not enough to express our gratitude to our Guru, Para Brahma Mohanji!

Today, right now, we are sitting relaxed in our safety zones, in the warmth of our cosy homes, with our loved ones, thanking our stars to have Guru Mohanji in our lives. All this has been possible because He is out there, collecting all our problems, dangers, threats to our lives and taking on most of our baggage.

Our Guru, the true Avadhoota, the Avadhoota in jeans, is walking along the long, treacherous and dangerous path! Gathering all our baggage, putting them on His shoulders, He is walking on that path, so that we stay safe! Being inside the unconquerable fort, with the safe cordon of His protection, we are forgetting the truth of our existence, while He is guarding us from outside the fort!

2014-07 - Mohanji - Kailash - Yatra (1840).JPG

Yes. It is true. It is true that Mohanji, the Master is carrying the burden of all our baggage without bothering about His own discomfort or even threats to His life! Haven’t we seen this happening time and again? Or do we conveniently choose to ignore! Whether we realise, whether we care or not, He stays unperturbed and keeps doing what He has to do. So here is one more incident to add to our realisation of how our Guru does not hesitate even an iota to take on lots of garbage from us even if He has to face disaster.

Homa.jpg

Rishikesh retreat was finishing. On the last day, on 21st September, Mohanji started a sacred Homa ceremony with deep respect and reverence in front of all. There were energies and divine signs of deities present at the Homa when they were invoked. Deities are representations of energies of a particular density and intensity. When invoked in a particular way, they come. Lord Dattatreya Himself was the principal deity helping with the sacred Homa.

Datta

Everyone who attended this Homa ceremony offered dry coconuts without the outer shells. This is a symbol of bringing out all compelling negativities from them on to the coconuts. The coconuts becomes heavier as people download their baggage on to them. As a loyal servant of nature, the coconuts absorb all that is given. Then the Homa Agni (fire) burns the coconuts completely and dissolves the negativities. The Homa Agni is very sacred and powerful!

Homa1.jpg

Usually, as we all know, the dry coconut without its shell does not take much time to burn. Here, some coconuts did not burn for 15 hours, even after delivering almost two bags of stable Himalayan firewood into the fire! Finally, Indra Dev had to bring rain to calm Agni Dev! This simply signifies the amount of negativities that people might have been carrying unknowingly. The Homa and the burning of the coconuts have made each individual lighter.

However, all this takes a toll on Mohanji’s physical form. Some of the negativity goes through His body. That is why Mohanji has stopped doing Homas personally since 2016.

If this wasn’t enough, Mohanji had to come in front to fight with this invisible demon so that HIS FAMILY stays safe! Here is an account of what happened the next day (22nd September)!

Mohanji_to_Badrinath

Mohanji was travelling to Badrinath in a car, along with Rajesh and Sanya. This is the car that was used all through the retreat and Mamu was constantly travelling in it. The driver of this car was a very efficient driver too. There were no complications in the car at all before this journey to Badrinath started.

Driving on the narrow roads in the high altitude hilly terrain, the driver stops the car at a pass on the side to give way to another vehicle. Exactly at that time, the axle of the car breaks. Following that, both the brakes fail too. Rajesh and Sanya went out of the car. Mohanji was still inside the car when it slides down to rest on one side of the road backed up by stones to still its movement. At that point, one tyre also comes out! This was more than enough to cause a disaster if the car was running on the road. With whatever speed, at that altitude, the car and its passengers would have immediately become history!

Everyone came out completely safe. Also, all the other vehicles including the bus and the rest of the cars carrying the entire group going to Badrinath had a smooth journey until Rudraprayag, where all halted for the night.

Can you imagine the reinforcements? Everyone was protected under the shield of Mohanji’s presence.

MAR_3051.JPG

Mohanji, Rajesh and Sanya continued their journey in another car brought by a driver named “Mohan” sometime later and reached Rudraprayag.

This incident reminds us the truth that when danger comes, Father comes out to face the danger Himself, keeping the children safe behind Him. We must not forget this at any moment. Every single breath that we are taking freely, relaxing, being joyful, is only because of our Guru, our Father, our Mother, Para Brahma Mohanji, is guarding us day and night, around the clock.

An angel in our midst. In Limpopo..JPG

So, is a salute, a pranam, a chant, a kiss on His feet, enough to show our gratitude? Let us ponder over this and keep reminding ourselves to feel our existence enjoying this incarnation in this beautiful world! We have taken a lot! May be it’s time to give back?

A Sojourn with the Divine at Machu Picchu

MP_with_Mohanji.jpg

Retreats are a time for rejuvenation and cleansing in the presence of a Master. This year (2018), the Mohanji Foundation has organised many retreats in exotic power centres all over the world, just to give us an opportunity to be in the energy of our Guru, Mohanji. One such retreat happened in early April at Machu Picchu! Read on and delight in the vivid descriptions/experiences painted by some of our family members – Ketan Patel, Arvind, Geetha Vasudevan and Vidya Iyengar! Ketan Patel’s detailed travelogue and events in the retreat will have our hearts yearning for an opportunity for a similar experience.

A panoramic view

By Ketan Patel

MP_panoramic_view1.jpg

As Mohanji says, Machu Picchu is a Shakti Centre. Couple of years back, a retreat in Machu Picchu was advertised by The Mohanji Foundation team but for some unknown reason, it was cancelled. Since then, I had a wish to go and visit Machu Picchu with Mohanji. I was lucky to grab that chance this year. My wife Manisha and I attended the Machu Picchu Retreat with Mohanji from 31st March – 6th April 2018. It was an experience of a lifetime. I have gone on numerous tours but this one was special.

From the time I commenced planning for the retreat, I faced a few hitches – which I thought was a test of my faith in Mohanji – I had to transfer funds in US dollars for the retreat. I went to my bank and did the needful. After a few days, I was told by the Peru team that the funds had been transferred in Swiss francs and not in dollars and that I was still short of 350 US dollars. I went back to the bank and told them about the issue. They said that it was not their fault and that they cannot do anything about it. I started praying to Mohanji to resolve this issue. I was kept waiting for almost half an hour after which to my surprise, the bank manager called me into her office and told me that as a special case, they would put the required funds into my account and would retransfer it without any additional charges. I had tears in my eyes while leaving the bank. I thanked Mohanji for taking care of my smallest wish. From then on, I knew instinctively that this retreat would be the best experience of my lifetime.

The day finally arrived when we started our travel to Cusco. We reached Cusco on 30th March 2018 and were greeted by Ananth and Rakshita from Australia, who were taking care of the whole retreat for Machu Picchu, making arrangements for our stay and looking after our minuscule needs.

Cusco1.jpg

Cusco is a beautiful city situated near the Urubamba Valley, near the Andes mountain range situated at about 3400m altitude. It was declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1983. As advised, we had to get acclimatised to the low oxygen level which was not as difficult as it sounded. We had some cocoa tea and cocoa candies served by the hotel staff. After a day’s rest, we were fine and dandy. We explored the city on foot. The roads of Cusco are made of blocks as opposed to tar. The streets were full of colours of the Inca tradition. The shops displayed the goods made from Alpaca wool. The use of vibrant colours in their textiles showed similarities between the Indian and Inca cultures. After a stroll, we came back to the hotel.

Meeting1.jpg

The day finally dawned to welcome our beloved Father Mohanji and Devi Maa. A group had gone to the airport to receive Mohanji and we were waiting in the hotel courtyard to welcome Him with a diya for aarti. The tour operators had arranged an Inca style welcome for Father by calling a tribal head and his wife, accompanied by a small alpaca. Once Mohanji entered the hotel courtyard, He was seated surrounded by all the loving people of the retreat. We simply dissolved in HIS love trying to absorb His energy as much as we could. There were tears  of gratitude among most devotees. Father interacted with each and every person, making them feel special. After having a lengthy talk with all, He retired to His room and we dispersed for dinner to be ready for our journey with Him the next morning.

sightseeing1.jpg

A sightseeing tour was planned with Father and Devi Maa on foot through the vibrant Cusco city. The tour guide explained the minutest details of the Inca civilization – how they had built the city with special stones and the intricate architecture. The whole group enjoyed the nearness to Father, with special explanations from Him regarding many aspects of life. The calmness of the place which, according to Him was the result of the water body flowing underneath the ground, was seen everywhere. Even the street dogs were calm and did not bark. There were numerous churches around the city. We also visited a small museum which depicted the Inca life, their animals and their traditions. Around lunch time, we retired to our respective rooms. In the evening, a small satsang was planned with Father.  As it was Haunman Jayanti on that day, Father recited The Hanuman Chalisa. We concluded with Mohanji Aarti and out of gratitude, one of the devotee sang a Guru bhajan for our beloved Father. Then the tour operator shared some information regarding our next leg of the journey which was a visit to The Sacred Valley of the Inkas and our two night stay at a very beautiful luxury wellness resort called Willka Tika.

weaving1.jpg

Next day early in the morning, on 1st April 2018, we started our journey in two different buses to accommodate our big group. After travelling through the mountains, we descended from a higher altitude to a more comfortable one. The sight was amazing. It felt as though ‘Pachamama’ (mother earth) was welcoming us with her arms wide open.  Our next destination was Awanakancha – the weaving centre. On the way to the weaving centre –  where the traditional weaving techniques were displayed using basic tools and wooden looms –  we saw four families of cameloid – alpacas, guanacos, llamas and vicunas. Alpacas have thick wool which is most commonly used, while the vicunas are small and delicate with fur considered the finest. We saw these four types of cameloids, learnt about the harvesting of the different wools and the natural dying techniques and had a chance to see native weavers from different areas showing their different weaving styles and dress. We also saw many different varieties of corn (purple, black, yellow to name a few) and also different varieties of potaotes (they harvest about 400 different potatoes in Peru). We took our time and enjoyed feeding the cameloid family and also visited the shop where they were selling all the products.

After our vist to the Awanakancha, we resumed our travel to Willka Tika Resort through a picturesque valley. On the way, we were taken to a sacred place of the Incas called Unu Urco or the watergate. It is a small confined place hidden between the mountains. Our tour guide Martin, who also happens to be a spiritual healer, explained to us the importance of the place. It was a snake like structure formed in the rock (though Father compared it to the yoni and kundalini shakti). Our group was given a special flora scented water to be rubbed on our hands and then smell it with eyes closed to feel the energy.

unourco1.jpgLater on, he called upon Father to put His head underneath the mouth of the snake and to make a wish. He then poured water from the top of the rock (which happens to be the tail of the snake). The water travelled through a channel that was carved into the rock (I am not sure if it was naturally made or made by the Incas). The idea was that the water flows from the mouth of the snake onto the crown chakra of whoever is kneeling underneath. Martin then invited each person in the group to follow the ritual. Everyone felt the energy, some of the devotees even cried their hearts out. Later on according to the Inca ritual, we were told to form a circle and hug each other. What an amazing experience it was! All our heart chakras were opened and the only emotion that was felt was that of love! When we were taking turns to finish the ceremony, Devi Maa and Father went into deep meditation to feel the surrounding energy. We then started the next leg of our journey and reached Willka Tika around lunch time. We were welcomed with tea made from herbs locally cultivated in Willka Tika gardens.

Ollantaytambo1.jpg

After a sumptuous lunch, we again resumed our journey towards Ollantaytambo Temple. Ollantaytambo is an Inca archeological site situated at an altitude of 2792m above sea level. Ollayntaytambo was the royal estate of The Emperor Pachacuti, well known for its urban planning and also for the religious, astronomical and military complex. It was remarkable to see how the Incas moved huge boulders from one mountain to the other across the valley and the river. The Incas built several storehouses on the hills surrounding Ollantaytambo. Because of the high altitude, these storehouses helped the Incas store their produce without fear of decay. The main function of this site was religious. The access to the main site was a series of stairways that go all the way to the top of the terrace complex. The main structure of the whole complex was the Sun Temple.

terracetop1.jpg

The group climbed to the top and felt the energy of the stones by touching them with their spines. Under our beloved Devi Maa’s guidance, it was decided to have a ten minutes meditation in the open space. We did the meditation under our Father’s observation. Doing meditation on the top of the hill, in the presence of Divine energy was really a wonderful experience. Everybody was in bliss and throbbing with energy to absorb more.  After an exhausting day, we climbed down and boarded the buses back to our resort Willka Tika to rejuvenate for the next day’s journey.

Marassalt.jpg

On 2nd April 2018, early in the morning, we again boarded the buses to go to the Maras salt mines. Maras is a small town in the sacred valley of the Incas. The town is well known for its salt evaporation ponds. Incas obtained salt by evaporating the salty water that flows from a subterranean stream. The salty water emerges from a spring which is the natural outlet of the underground stream. The flow is then directed through small channels into small ponds constructed from mud. The flow of salty water is controlled by the workers into these small polygon shaped ponds. As the ponds are built on the slope of the hill, the water is gradually filled into the ponds by gravitational descent. Once the ponds are filled with salty water, the channels are closed so as to stop the water flow from the stream. As the water evaporates from these ponds, the salt is deposited on the pond surface. The workers then scrape up the salt thus formed from the pond surface and sides. After the collection of salt granules, again the channels are opened for the next harvest. There were some shops surrounding the path to the salt fields, to enable purchase of the different varieties of salt.

Marassalt2.jpg

Our next destination was the Chinchero Village and the archeological site. Chinchero is an Andean village combining the Inca ruins with the colonial church and home to the famous peruvian weaving and colourful markets. It is on a high plain with sweeping views of snow laden peaks. The group took some beautiful pictures and collected some pleasing mementos.

pachamama.jpg

Huaypo Lagoon was our next destination. Huaypo Lagoon is one of the most beautiful lagoons of the Sacred Valley. The neighbouring communities use the water to nurture their fields. The surrounding mountains and peaks are reflected in the lagoon water. When we reached the place, out of nowhere a dog came near the area where Father was seated. I told Father, “Look Father, one of your vedas has arrived!” A few minutes later, I saw three other dogs appear out of nowhere. Father smiled and said “Wherever I go, they tend to follow me.” Post lunch, a religious ceremony to Pachamama was arranged for us by our tour operators. One of the Andean priests was called upon to perform their sacred ceremony. This ceremony is recommended for those who have problems like sadness of heart, headaches, stress, any suffering, bad energies or spirits, or for those who just want to open their heart and connect to the higher consciousness.

ceremony.jpg

The priest started the ceremony in his native language which was translated by our tour operators. The ceremony involved usage of cocoa leaves which is considered as an auspicious item for the ceremony. We were given three cocoa leaves each to hold and then asked to make a wish for ourselves or for the benefit of others or for the whole universe. After this, he did some chanting in his language, placing various items needed for the ceremony on a paper which was placed on the ground. When he was done with the preparations, he called Father to sit besides him and asked Father to blow on the leaves and give it to him. He then put the leaves on the paper. After completing the procedure with Father, he called upon each one of us in turn to sit in front of him and do the same procedure as was done with Father. Once his part was finished, Father went and sat on a chair nearby. When the priest started the ceremony, we heard the sound of lightning echoing in the mountains. The valley and the lagoon was surrounded with dark clouds and it was felt that anytime the rain would start. At that very moment, I was astonished to see Father commanding the clouds through hand gestures to move away from the ceremony place. Nature also respected Father by promptly obeying His command. One by one, each of us went to the priest and did our part of the ceremony. Towards the end, Father asked everybody to hurry. He told us that within fifteen minutes the rainfall would begin. Everybody moved quickly and settled inside the bus. As soon as we board the bus, the rain started. We discussed the beautiful moments spent with Father at the lagoon and during the cremony, on our way back to the resort.

sevenchakra.jpg

After going to the resort, we were told about the Seven Chakra Gardens of the Willka Tika Resort. Everybody planned to get the tour from one of the guides of the resort. Each garden is associated with different chakras of our body. We started with the throat chakra or the Visuddhi chakra. This garden had a structure made in the form of ‘infinity’ symbol. With guidance from Devi Maa, we did the Hoom meditation in the throat chakra garden. After that we moved to the heart chakra or Anahata chakra garden. A beautiful divine chant was played –  sung by Natesh for Mohanji – duing which many devotees started crying out of love for Father. The heart chakra was opening for everyone once again. What was experienced by each devotee was just pure love! The next garden was the third eye chakra or the Agnya chakra garden. The third eye chakra garden was made into circles starting from the smaller one in the centre surrounded by the bigger ones. All the devotees again under Devi Maa’s guidance did conscious walking in those circles. Moolaadhar Chakra garden was the next in line. The guide took us to the root chakra and asked us to pick three cocoa leaves each and pray with eyes closed. Later we kept the leaves wherever we liked on the ground. After the root chakra,  we went to the Swadhisthan Chakra garden.  The time was short, so we quickly went to the next garden – the solar plexus garden or the Manipura chakra garden. There were yellow flowers all over the garden symbolising the yellow colour of Manipuar chakra. As it was getting dark and it was time for our dinner, we quickly assembled in a circle inside the garden and once again some leaves were given to us. That brought us to the end of our journey of the seven chakra garden. The next day, we had to leave early for Machu Picchu by train so we dispersed and had our dinner and retired to our respective rooms to get a good sleep before our next journey.

train.jpg

On 3rd April 2018, we got up early and started our bus journey towards Ollantaytambo station. We had our tickets booked in Inca Rail. The rail sation was a sight that has to be seen to be believed. Surrounding the train station were the mountains partly covered in clouds. We were waiting to board the train. The tour operators had arranged the tickets for us. We had to travel light as there were luggage limitations on the train. About 8 kgs per person was allowed. So from the beginning of our train journey, we had shed our luggage, the physical as well as the mental! This was the actual start of our retreat to the great Macchu Picchu. The train soon left the Ollantaytambo station. We enjoyed the sights from the windows. The gushing river also seemed to accompany us from the start of our journey.

Ollantaytambo2.jpg

The landscapes were beautiful. The rocks in the river, the sound of the gushing water and the clouds that followed us shielding us from the sun, all appeared blissful. I have never ever enjoyed nature as much as I did in this whole journey. We were served Inca tea and light snacks on the train. Few devotees sang hymns of Soundarya Lahiri and Mahisasuramardini. The whole atomosphere was mesmerizing. Before we realized, the train entered the station at Aguas Calientes. We alighted from the train and started our journey on foot towards the Inca Terra Resort.

The Inca Terra resort is spread over 12 acres of land and is well known for its ecological tourism and has also been on the list of National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World. It is built on terraced hills, waterfalls, stone pathways and rooms which are placed in the midst of the forest area. The resort has vast lands of gorgeous natural beauty. This resort is known for its bird species viz. the golden-headed quetzal and the iconic Andean cock-of-the-rock. It also houses the world’s largest native orchid collection. There are special hotel guides who take you to the in-house excursions explaining the details of the flora & fauna. The vast restaurant windows had a spectacular view of the Vilcanota River surrounded by the clouded mountains.

bird.jpg

On reaching the resort, we were ushered into the reception area. Later on, we were taken on a resort tour by the hotel guides. It was as if we were going on a jungle trip. The whole area was covered with large trees. We saw Andean cock-of-the-rock, the national bird of Peru. At various places, the bird feeders hung, filled with a mix of water and honey. The humming birds, in huge numbers, were seen feeding on it. The guide explained to us about the various orchids. We saw a minute orchid for which we needed a magnifying glass.

When everyone was done with the tour of the resort, we started our journey to the magnificent Machu Picchu. We had to take a bus to reach the base of Machu Picchu. Our lunch was planned at that base. After having lunch, we started on foot to climb to our long-awaited highpoint of the retreat. The awe inspiring ancient archeological site was built in the 15th century by the Incas. It was not known to the rest of the world until it was discovered by an American historian named Hiram Bingham, in the early 20th century. Macchu Picchu is renowned for the panoramic view and its stylish dry-stone walls constructed by fusing huge blocks without the use of mortar. It is also known as the Lost City of the Incas. UNESCO has declared it as a world heritage site. We climbed the stairs to get a feel of the energy of the site. Walking with Father on such a spiritual journey was exciting. Martin, our guide, explained the details of the place and how Incas had built the site. We saw Alpacas and Llamas on the hill. Normaly llamas do not come near humans. But when we were walking with Father, we saw two llamas walk towards Him and stand in front of Him. Father then caressed and blessed those souls. Even the llamas were enjoying the attention, standing calmly. Going further, we saw various structures made on the hill. Each stone has special energy. We enjoyed the beauty and felt the love of mother nature. We passed through the narrow gates and small paths, getting an explanation about each place from our guide. At one place we were handed cocoa leaves. Each one of us held the leaves to our heart and made a wish. Later we were told to put them on the ground wherever we felt was right. Then, we reached a small room type structure with an open roof. Father asked us all to stand with our spines touching the stone and do a small meditation while standing. What an intense meditation it was! We felt our heart chakra expanding. Everyone was filled with love. We sent our love to the nature and the universe. The day had come to an end. Soon, we went back to the base station and boarded our bus back to the hotel.

MP_panoramic_view.jpg

Next morning on April 4th 2018, we started our climb again from the base station. Enjoying the beauty and listening to Father, we climbed the steps – an inclined area. Everyone was breathing heavily to balance the steep climb. All of a sudden, I saw Father trip over a couple of steps and quickly balance Himself so as to avoid a fall. I saw that He hurt His left leg below the knee area. He was quickly on the move again. Later on, He told us that He had taken a fall for Deva and some other devotees on Himself! He makes sure that when you are with Him, you are His responsibility! We then reached a place where there were two different paths to tread – one going towards the Sungate and the other towards the Inca bridge. We had to make a decision as to which path to follow, as both paths were not possible to be explored in the limited time that we had. One group decided to take a higher trek called the Sungate. The rest of us remained with Father at that junction to be in His physical presence. Each of us who remained with Father went to a separate space and did our meditation. Doing meditation in the presence of mother nature was really something which I will always remember. The connection was perfect in the serene atmosphere. When we were done with our meditation, we sat near Father and got answers to our questions. It was almost like an open satsang. Later on we went back to board the bus back to our hotel in time to catch our train back to Ollantaytambo. It was going to be an extended journey, as after the train journey we had to take a bus once again back to Cusco. Our retreat was coming to an end. Next day, on 5th April 2018, ACT USA had organized food seva in Peru and in the evening a small satsang was planned at Ayni centre which was hosted by a group of local Peruvian people. A brief intorduction about Mohanji was given by Devi Maa. Father gave an indepth talk on different aspects of spirituality. Later on, there was a round of questions and answers by the participants. The satsang was followed by an intense Shaktipat. In the past, I have taken Shaktipat from Father several times but this one was special, so intense, so full of energy and full of love. The tears of gratitude were flowing from each devotee. Later in the evening we went back to our hotel to end our beautiful spiritual retreat with the Divine!

MP_Devi1.jpg

To conclude this experience, I just want to say that I am extremely happy to have been a part of the first batch who took part in the Machu Picchu Retreat with Mohanji. There will be many more to come in the future. The only thing that I can say is that please make an effort to go to Machu Picchu with Father and leave the rest to Him. I can assure you that the Machu Picchu retreat will be the best time of your spiritual journey where you will have peace, bliss, calmness and connection with mother nature!

Jai Mohanji!

An empty cup

By Arvind

I had very little expectation when I impulsively signed up last December for the Machu Picchu trip in April 2018 with Mohanji. All indications and signs came to me quickly within a span of days/weeks: learning about Machu Picchu as an energy centre from multiple independent sources (including an article that mentioned Ramana Maharishi’s prediction about a Shakti energy centre in this part of the world), peaking interest in this place in general, and finally hearing from my cousin about this trip in the presence of a Master. As a lifelong spiritual seeker, I wanted to experience what it’d be like to travel with a Master though I’m not much of a group traveller. I wasn’t sure if I was open enough to fit in with a group of random strangers (the amazing group of lovely people I encountered in this one-week journey made it super easy), and whether this trip itself would be meaningful in some way – beyond a tourist dimension (it absolutely was). There was something magical about Machu Picchu itself (which is why millions flock to it every year without completely understanding why) – it almost looks like the out-of-the-world Pandora from the Avatar movie. But experiencing it in the presence of a Master is something else altogether. If you are finely tuned in to yourself, you’ll absolutely see subtle changes in yourself lasting for days and weeks (so far) after the trip that I can only label as serious progress. No details can do justice, as some of these are so intensely personal that one has to experience it themselves. The trip itself was amazingly well organized by the volunteers of Mohanji Foundation (thanks Rakshita, Ananth, Mahesh and others!) with every part of the itinerary well-choreographed, with radiant local tour guides who felt like they were an integral part of the group and not paid outsiders. I’d highly recommend this trip to both the casual or an intense seeker, and experience the presence of a true Master that goes by the name of Mohanji in our times, who can guide you as long as you approach Him with a relatively empty ‘cup’ :-).

Purpose of Life

By Geetha Vasudevan

Jai Mohanji!

First, I would like to thank Mohanji for accepting my application to travel with Him and the team! I applied at the last hour and all things related to travel fell in place. He willed it and it happened! I would also like to thank the organizing committee for a fabulous job in coordinating the entire trip.

It was heart-warming to see fellow spiritual seekers who had a common goal in mind and that was to experience the divinity within, in that atmosphere of serene beauty amidst the magnificent mountain ranges.

The chanting at the enchanting chakra garden followed by the hike and satsang at the mountain top in Machu Picchu promoted peace within and outside. The local ceremony invoking the nature God, stood testimony in the presence of Mohanji!

I am thankful to Mohanji for allowing me to try out my culinary skills at the Inca kitchen and the cooks were very friendly, earthy and welcoming.

I was able to interact with Him for a while on this spiritual journey and received clarity on the purpose of life. He addressed the “purpose of life” and “Turium” in a public satsang which I was able to connect to. I was moved by His kind gesture to give “Shaktipat” to me and felt enormously blessed to be in the presence of such divine beings.

Jai Sai Ram and Jai Mohanji!

The Master knows!

By Vidya Iyengar

Jai Shri Mohanji!

I never thought even in my wildest dreams that I would visit Machu Picchu with Mohanji. I was the last person in the group to book my tickets after making the decision to go to Machu Picchu. In fact it so happened that on the day before I had to travel, I was under tremendous stress. There was this huge inertia to travel. I was reluctant to leave my kids because my husband was also going through some personal crisis regarding his career at that point. He was not happy that I was going. So that day, I almost cried in front of Mohanji’s picture and said, “I do not want to come!”

Fast forward, I reached Peru. On reaching the hotel, I saw Mohanji talking to our Machu Picchu group who had already arrived there. I was so happy to see Him. I took my paadnamaskar (prostrated at His feet) and gave my passport to the hotel management to check into my room. Soon, one of the staff members came and conveyed that my passport was not stamped at the Peru Airport. I was totally taken aback! I remembered that at the customs counter, the guy checked my passport and documents, but I couldn’t remember if he had stamped it.

With that incident, Mohanji started making fun of me all the time asking, “How is your passport?” That evening, we had a beautiful satsang with Mohanji. He chanted the Hanuman Chalisa with us and that brought out goose bumps and a lot of tears among all present there. At the end of the satsang, when I went to touch His feet again, He teased me again about the passport 🙂 and then in a very different tone added, “YOU DID NOT WANT TO COME!”

I instantly realized, this was the answer to the request I made before starting my journey in front of His picture in my house:)…Lesson learnt: Always be careful of what you ask and be careful of what you think before going on such pious pilgrimages. Of course, as I had full faith in Mohanji, there was no problem returning to my country.

All my thoughts, questions, and prayers were answered on this trip. It was an amazingly beautiful experience. The whole trip was organised very well; food, hotel stay, and transportation. After returning from this trip, so much is yet to sync internally. To analyse everything from the trip is very difficult. All that I would like to convey is that my heart is filled with gratitude and love towards our beloved Guru Mohanji and towards all the people around me. I convey my soulful gratitude towards everything and everyone 🙂

Through the eyes of the participants of the Machu Picchu retreat, the importance of a retreat with a living Master is highlighted.  Each retreat is unique and what we receive from Mohanji cannot be described but only experienced!

Mantras of Gratitude

Cover.jpg

In a recent Satsang, Mohanji explained that

Mantras are frequencies codified to create a certain effect. So each mantra has a different reason and a purpose. Mantras are a conglomeration of words to create a certain frequency within you. He further adds that this thing called problem or a situation arises from the mind.

This is exactly what happened to Maja O. She went through stressful periods that were both physically and emotionally challenging. It is not surprising that Mohanji, in his loving way, stepped in to mitigate the issues through mantras and healing. The result is that Maja is now at peace, filled with gratitude for her beloved Guru.

At the end of the day, it is just grace and blessings that make a difference in regular life. And gratitude opens doors for grace to flow – Mohanji

Here is Maja’s expereicne as expressed in her words.

Obeisance

With deep gratitude to Mohanji, I’d like to share with you some of the reasons that I have for this eternal gratefulness. It is clear to me that my knowledge of what Mohanji has so far done for me (and many people around me) is very limited, and that these experiences which I am aware of, is just a small portion. I’ll describe three experiences with mantras that were given to me by Mohanji at different times and for a different purpose each time. My inner being is singing gratefully to Him.

~Devi Mantra~

A few years ago, when I first moved to Ecuador, I got very sick. I was vomiting continuously, and I could not tolerate even a sip of water. It was going on for several days. I was very weak, unable to walk, pale, and without any sign of improvement. I was afraid of ending up in a hospital, as my housemates were about to do something about it. I strongly dislike modern medicine, and I usually have a reaction to drugs prescribed by doctors. Still, I gave it a try, but it only worsened my condition. Apart from those physical ailments, I was also going through weird sleep states where I felt as if I was going through different worlds and felt so drained because of lack of energy, that I was afraid to go to bed again. Sometimes, I would have strong sensations in the crown chakra with terrible sounds, such as a motor engine. I spoke to my homeopathic doctor (and a friend) from Serbia, and she advised me to speak to Mohanji about it.

Back then, I had not been in touch with Mohanji for a couple of years, so it was not a normal thing for me to communicate with Him. After my one and only retreat with Him, I fell seriously ill for the second time in my life. As per Mohanji’s instructions, I was not even meditating. It lasted for a couple of years, and thanks to Iskra (Spomenka), I managed to tide over that stage with just homeopathic medicines. Even though I always carried Mohanji’s picture with me, I was feeling very confused and disconnected. It took one more year after the event I’m describing here, to get answers and clarify my doubts. So this time around, when I finally reached out to Him, all the illnesses of the past and present were collectively dealt with by Mohanji, once and for all. Not an easy task, but oh, how grateful I am to Him!

Now, let’s get back to this story. Even though I was unsure, I sent Mohanji a Facebook message, and He replied immediately. He just asked me where I was geographically located. As soon as I sent my reply, I felt Him entering my system through the crown chakra. It took Him just a moment to see what was happening, but as usual, no diagnosis was shared with me. Instead, He gave me a prescription. I received ‘The Devi Mantra’, and Mohanji’s words that the Mother will save me. I had to chant it so many times that I didn’t even bother to remember the number. I just said to myself, “That’s fine, you just chant as many times as you can.” I neither had the strength to sit on my bed, nor to utter a sound, so I just lay down and chanted mentally. Soon after I finished the very first round of chants, I was back on my feet!!!  It took around 30 minutes of chanting for me to get up, walk outside to the market, and buy myself some food. I began chanting 2-3 times a day, and recovered at full speed (to my housemates’ amazement)! Since then, I didn’t vomit even once. Even when I got completely well, I continued the chant for a whole year, and during that period I never fell seriously sick.

~Shiva Kavacham ~

About a year later, I was back in Ecuador again. Some strange events started happening, and I received instructions from Mohanji that it was time for a deep cleansing. I had been waiting for it for so many years. I was aware that I was holding on to some things that didn’t belong to me, and that made me feel bad, but I just didn’t know how to deal with it. I was aided in this process by an awesome lady who was working with me, even though she lived in a different continent. We went through many sessions, and I was feeling quite exhausted. As this was the time when some of my greatest fears were surfacing, Mohanji gave me the gift of the ‘Shiva Kavacham’.

Even after the cleansing, Mohanji asked me to continue listening to the Shiva Kavacham. I was surprised (and still am) at how difficult this task was for me. My mind would get hyperactive as soon as the chant started, and I had to admit that I was doing very poorly at it. One morning, many months later, my mind was surprisingly still while listening to the chant. I was focused on my crown point, and was just utterly peaceful. Nothing on the outside mattered nor existed, just felt immense peace. I vaguely felt the smell of something burning, but even to go to the level of the senses meant leaving the tranquil crown space, and I just kept moving back to that blissful state. The smell of burning was growing stronger again, and again, and my mind started to shift to the outside world. I was soon able to connect to my ‘’usual self’’ and was forced to open my eyes ASAP as there was something burning. I instantly jumped up from the floor, as I saw that Mohanji’s picture had caught fire. The candle in front of the picture with no frame was the cause for the fire. I was saddened to see the beloved picture damaged in the shape of a black half-circle by the fire. I was thinking of throwing the picture away, but it was hard to do that, so I wrote to Mohanji’s team for advice. They remarked that the colorful circles around the damage were unusual, and they forwarded the picture to Mohanji. (I didn’t know if the circles were normal, as I was not very familiar with how burnt pictures are supposed to look like.)

Maja_o_1

His reply was that I should continue using the picture because the yellow and red circle, together with the purple hue that appeared sometimes was an auspicious sign indicating the protection of the Tradition. So, I am still using the same picture, but I bought a nice frame for it. Six months later, one day when I returned home from a healing meditation, I noticed that this picture had another detail: a small vertical line of light.

Maja_o_2.jpg

~Mahamrityunjaya Mantra~

In the meantime, I received a couple of other mantras to chant at all times. I can’t say my experiences with mantras have always been successful. Sometimes, my head would just reach a state where I sensed that my head would explode, together with all the trash from my mind, at which point I would just have to drop the mantra. However, it was not so with the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.

In June last year, I received the news of my mother’s poor health. My mom had been struggling with a terrible illness for many years. She had been through the stages where both her memory and personality would leave her, and now it was her body as well. Her physical functions had refused to perform, and the situation was clear. I was very sad and helpless. I knew she had been through so much that she deserved peace, but I was just so emotional about it. I felt that there was nothing for me to do on a physical level, but I wanted to ease her pain as much as possible and not burden her with my emotions, while crossing over to the other side. Once again, Mohanji came to my rescue. He gave me the ‘Mahamrityunjaya Mantra’ to chant constantly. Almost instantly, the sorrow melted, and tranquility set in. I was peaceful even upon hearing the news of her departure, some 2 weeks later. I cried, but I was mainly in a state of peace. It was surprising, as I am usually emotional and I had a strong connection with my mother. A few hours before her passing away, while I was chanting the mantra internally, I had a beautiful experience of Mohanji. It was not an extraordinary experience; it was just feeling him in a more subtle way which for me was new. It was only later, when I spoke to Swami Bhaktanandaji about it, that it made more sense.

Twelve days later, I had a chance to have a short conversation with Swamiji after a group healing meditation in Ecuador. Previously, Swamiji had performed healing for my mom, and I felt very grateful to him for that. This time, he had even bigger news for me. While my tears were just rolling, he told me how my mother was saved by Mohanji from further incarnations, how she was now in a very high realm where she exists as a pure spirit, and that she will eventually merge with the Infinite. He said that it was thanks to her kindness and good heart that she was able to reach those levels and be liberated. I was simply dissolving in gratitude and joy. The joy I felt, and still do, is complete and comes from my very core. I could not have imagined anything bigger than that. A lot of people were feeling sorry for my mother because of her misfortune. It was explained that her soul is always in peace, and that it was her choice to go through her illness for a higher reason. I deeply respected her decision and admired her strength that made sense only now. How limiting it is making our judgments based on the ephemeral physical world with our limited awareness, while the soul keeps the wisdom to itself. My mother was not religious or spiritual. Instead, she was just kind, loving, and hard-working, at all times. Even the last time I had a chance to see her, her eyes were emitting only love. I am grateful beyond words to Mohanji, I simply can’t express it in a written form.

I remember leaving that meditation with a heart overflowing with utmost joy and confidence in myself and the world around me. I felt that all I have to do is just be grateful for everything that comes my way. For whatever comes, there is a reason, and I need not worry about a thing. Why worry, when we have Mohanji and the Tradition taking such good care of us!

Thank you, dear Mohanji, for all that I know you did, and for all that I’m not aware of.

With Love

Mohanji’s Visit to UK – Aug 2018

By Mohanji Fundation UK Team

divine
Divine Presence

British Summer of 2018, brought real sunshine to the UK! After months of waiting, Mohanji along with His family was visiting the UK in August. From the 8th to the 19th, 11 whole days in the physical presence of Mohanji! UK was bubbling.

Programmes were lined up for Mohanji’s visit months in advance. Various preparations started many weeks prior to Mohanji’s arrival and continued until the last day. The 3 major programmes planned were – a 3 days retreat with Mohanji, a public Satsang and Mohanji’s participation in the consecration of a Dattatreya idol in Skanda Vale ashram.

As the day of Mohanji’s arrival neared, excitement grew. Retreat places were fully booked. Satsang places were over booked. Arrangement for Mohanji’s accomodation, food and comfort were being looked after. Arrangement of Mohanji’s visit to Skanda Vale was planned. The UK was all set to welcome Mohanji to their land and to their hearts.

Following are the events and golden moments with Mohanji during His UK visit, which we would like to share with everyone.

1. Mohanji’s Arrival

Finally, the day arrived. On the 8th of Aug 2018 afternoon, Mohanji, Deviji and little Mila arrived at Gatwick airport while a few devotees waited eagerly to receive them. Mohanji was coming to London after 10 long months! We waited with abundance of joy, hearts pounding to feel Mohanji’s physical presence, to touch His feet, to receive His hug. This meeting at the airport was indeed a very special one, lucky are those who took this opportunity to welcome Mohanji and family to London.

2. Media Interviews

During the visit, there were 3 Media interviews scheduled with Mohanji and one with Deviji.

The first one was with Mantra Therapy team on 8th August evening. This interview was held at Ahimsa Vegan Cafe and was Live on Faccebook and Youtube channels.

Another interview was scheduled with Athavan TV, a Tamil TV Channel based in the UK, for the 9th afternoon.

This interview will be aired on the TV channel that reaches about 30,000 homes in the UK, during the first week of September.

The 3rd Interview was with another local TV channel called MA TV, specifically designed for religious and spiritual programmes. This interview was held at the channel’s working studio in Wembley on the 11th and it was covered live by the TV channel as well as the channel’s FB page.

 3. Mohanji’s Paada Puja:

Perfroming Guru’s Paada Puja is a very auspicious ritual that most disciples think as their utmost fortune. Guru Poornima is a day when mostly disciples and devotees perform thsi ritual to show their acceptance and devotion to their Guru. Our Guru Brahmarishi Mohanji, being a true avadhoota, always moves from place to place, continents to continents, hence being in his physical presence in Guru Poornima is not really an opportunity that devotees in UK are blessed with every year! Hence earlier this year on July 27, for Guru Poornima, it was Guru’s Paduka Puja that they had done.

While Mohanji was in UK, some of them devotees wished to perform Mohanji’s Paada Puja. Mohanji kindly agreed to it. With a short notice, in the morning of 9th August, this programme was arranged. Before the ritual begun, Mohanji gave an amazing satsang of expalining every one the significance of this ritual. You can read about Mohanji’s satsang on Guru Paada Puja, here.

4. Meditation and Satsang with Mohanji:

On the 10th Aug, Meditation and satsang with Mohanji was arranged free to public at Pinner. The hall with the capacity of 120 seats was overbooked prior to Mohanji’s arrival. All volunteers geered up and arranged the hall, set up the altar, sound, light, book stall, Water and fruits etc.

Deviji started with a brief introduction and then conducted the Bliss of Silence Meditation. This time a lot of new attendees were noticed who enjoyed the meditation.

Just before Meditation finished, Mohanji entered the hall and took his Seat and after a brief message, He took on the questiones from audience.

The live video of this satsang can be viewed at the Mohanji UK FB page.

The transcription of this satsang will be published soon.

Here are few photos from the Meditation and Satsang.

Park visit

Mohanji reached the Satsang location slightly earlier than planned. So we thought He could take a walk in the park behind the venue, while the meditation was still going on inside. It was about 8pm and most of the park was getting dark. While we were walking along the path, suddenly we noticed far away on the left side, one part of the park was very bright with brilliant sunlight. We started walking towards that side. It was almost like a twilight moment , amazingly bright sunshine coming from far away in the lower horizon only while Mohanji was walking towards that direction. We clicked a few photos. Some of the photos showed some wonderful things, that we had not noticed with our naked eyes. Many photos taken from multiple cameras showed appearances of what seemed like celestial beings of different shapes, sizes and colours. These photos were captured in multiple mobile phone cameras, not any hi fi digital SLR camera and hence no possibility of digital trick here.

After a few minutes, as we were walking back, the light from that area disappeared suddenly and very abruptly. We realised, the light in that area was not merely a play of sunshine. This was because of the presence of celestial beings, who were gathered there to meet Mohanji. This was all part of a divine plan that our gross minds were unable to understand. Reaching the venue early, taking a walk in the park, all this had been planned for a different purpose by the Divine. As mere witnesses, without our gross recognition at that point, we were superbly blessed to be a part of this communion.

5. Retreat with Mohanji at Gilwell Park

This is the 4th year in a row that followers and devotees in the UK have been blessed to have a retreat with Mohanji. As in the previous years, it was organised at Gilwell Park, with the uniqueness of superb vegan food with a cordial and amusing community living atmosphere.

However, this year it was not just devotees from the UK, but many from other countries such as Norway, Malyasia, USA, Switzerland and India were also present at this retreat, which was fully booked much earlier than before. This time with the presence of both Mohanji and Deviji, the programme of the retreat offered many exciting flavours. While everyone abslutely longed and loved being with Mohanji, completely merging in the high energy vibrations of His physical presence, Deviji’s HSTY yoga in the mornings, Awkening Yoga Nidra and Consciouss Dancing took the participants into a blissful state.

Meditations with energy transfer  and Conscious Walking turned into powerhouse experiences for everyone, taking them to very high levels of meditative states during these activities. Long and heartwarming Satsangs and Q&A sessions with Mohanji in the mornings and evenings were the absolute bliss and highlight of the retreat. Sitting in front of the Master, listening to Him, laughing with Him, crying in front Him, everyone had their heart chakra completely opend up!

Every evening, after the post dinner satsang, devotees offered their gratitude to Mohanji through soulful bhajans which filled everyone with immense devotion, giving the end of each powerful day a soothing touch to go into a restful night and then to get ready for the next morning. One evening, to everyone’s surprise, Mohanji Himself joined a devotee and sang a beautiful bhajan with her. This added immense joy in everyone hearts that’s beyond comprehension. Read the experience shared by Subhasree and the video of this bhajan sung by Mohanji.

During these 3 days, everyone felt the subtle ways of how Mohanji works. Along with His sharpness and clarity in explaining eveything that everyone needed to know (whether they verbally asked or not, questions were answered!), His ease, humour and lighthearted way of explaining the toughest of the questions, He filled everyone with His divinity and bliss.

Being in Mohanji’s divine and high energy field, many felt emotions that they expressed freely. Every facet of expression, be it joy, laughter, crying, devotion, singing or dancing, eveyone felt an intensity to express what they felt for the Master!

All the attendees had a chance to have a conversation with Mohanji, during break-out times or short breaks. Everyone had their photos taken with Mohanji too! This photo is not just another addition to the album, but will be a memory of a lifetime that everyone will treasure.

During this retreat a special announcement happened. Tajinder, a devotee from Birmingham had expressed his wish a month back to produce a perfume in Mohanji’s name and dedicate it to Him. Mohanji had very kindly agreed saying to him that other devotees must approve the fragrance, as this perfume in Mohanji’s name should bring the feeling of Mohanji’s presence to devotees . So Tajinder with his utmost devotion and sincerity attempted this and with feedback from other devotees, he finally produced “Mohanji Factor” perfume and offered to Mohanji at the retreat. Deviji inaugurated the first bottle and this was sprayed to everyone present in the hall. Later on few bottles that were available to purchase, all got sold. However Mohanji carried a couple of bottles with Him and we learnt that on 3rd Sept, on Janmashtami day and the last Monday of the pious Shravan month, while Mohanji was present in Shirdi, this perfume was offered and applied to Shirdi Sai Baba in the morning in Mohanji’s presence as well as in the evening.

Before leaving, every single person received the ultimate energy transfer – “Shaktipat” from Mohanji. The effect of subtle transformations, clearing away of layers and layers of blockages directly from the causal layer, that Mohanji has imparted on every single attendee will continue for days and weeks to come, bringing in positive changes in their lives.

Only the presence of such a Master, His one glance, His one touch could clear away blockages from life times. Sooner or later, everyone will realise this subtelty, no doubt.

Almost everyone who attended the Retreat with Mohanji have given their honest, sincere and positive feedback. Many have shared their expreinces as testimonials.

These feedback and testimonials can be accessed from the blogsite & website.

6. Mohanji in Skandavale

Please Read about Mohanji’s Skandavale visit in this blog.

7. Consciousness Kriya Initiation

As it is said, when wishes and prayers from the hearts of devotees comes out with sincerity and bhaav, Guru and God have no option but to grant it. Power of devotion! Such was an example seen during this visit. A big event of Kriya Intensive had been recently organised in the Bosnian Pyramids at the end of May 2018. Hence there was no plan of Consciousness Kriya intiation during Mohanji’s UK visit. However, a few devotees who have been longing to get the initiation but could not go to the Kriya Intensive programme in Bosnia, still had the hope in their hearts that Mohanji may initate them during His visit.

With packed schedules every single day, it seemed next to impossible to arrange a Kriya initiation programme! However, Guru can make anything possible, when He sees true devotion. That’s exactly what happened this time! Mohanji appreciated the heartfelt and sincere request from these devotees and amidst His packed schedule, agreed to have the Kriya initiation on the very last day of His stay, the day after returning from Skanda Vale. Deviji conducted the training process, very kindly and elaborately clarifying each and every point with patience and her usual loving and fun attitude. Mohanji finally joined the Kriya group, answered all the questiones everyone had and after the satsang, initiated all the newly trained people.

This was indeed a dream come true for Vincent & Annabelle and Mr & Mrs Thakkar who have been longing to get intiation from Mohanji. Along with them a few more fortunate souls found a tool that will take them straight on the path of liberation at rocket speed.

Such is the tradition. Such is the Golden path of Liberation.

8. Departure from London

After the 11 days long blissful and energetic events in the UK, Mohanji left for Canada on the 20th of Aug 2018. In conscioussness, we are always together. Even then, being in Mohanji’s physical presence brings immeasurable joy and happiness. So bidding Him good bye at the airport was not a easy thing to do, though He kept everyone laughing till the very last moment He disappeared from our sight. Staying connected always and meeting sometime again soon were the assurances everyone received from the beloved Guru..

9. Memorable moments with Mohanji

Amidst the busy schedules and back to back events, Foundation volunteers grabbed every possible opportunity to have some memorable moments with Mohanji. The most humourous, fun loving Mohanji in these casual moments filled everyone with joy and unlimited happiness.

Dushyanthi has been longing to get Mohanji’s footprint for her altar. She had the opportunity to get it done on soft clay on a casual morning after breakfast. Her beautiful experience on this can be read here. This was the icing on top of the cake to have some fun-filled casual moments with the ever-loving, ever enchanting Mohanji.

We look forward to Mohanji coming back to UK in the future and give us many more memorable moments filled with joy and bliss. Till then we stay connected in the consciousness!

Mohanji in Skanda Vale – August 2018

By Subhasree Thottungal, UK

During Mohanji’s recent UK trip in August, He visited the Skanda Vale Ashram in Wales from the 14th to the 18th. The primary event that happened during this time was the Prana Pratishtha (consecration) of Lord Dattatrya’s idol and Nagaraja’s idol in the ashram temple.

Skanda Vale Ashram in Wales is a place very close to Mohanji’s heart and every time Mohanji visits the UK, He makes it a point to visit the ashram.

MOhanji_with_datta2.jpg

The backdrop to this event was Mohanji’s visit in May 2016 when Lord Garuda’s idol was consecrated in the Sri Ranganatha Temple in Skanda Vale. The installation of Lord Garuda was suggested by Mohanji as he said that where Lord Vishnu resides, Garuda must also be present, as Garuda is Lord Vishnu’s Vahana (vehicle). This idol appears majestic with the face expressing the power of Garuda and the body expressing the strength of Hanuman. You can read more about the Garuda Prana Pratishtha ceremony in Skanda Vale, in this page. Mohanji also suggested at the time that Lord Nagaraja should be present at the entrance of Shri Ranganatha temple for protection of the temple.

In September 2017, Mohanji made another trip to the UK, exclusively for spending time with the Skanda Vale community. During that trip he made a suggestion to the Swamis that it would be beneficial to the ashram if Lord Dattatreya was to be installed in Skanda Vale in an open area, exposed to the elements and sheltered by a fig tree.

The Skanda Vale community took up this suggestion wholeheartedly. Without delay the sculptor was commissioned to make the idols of both Lord Dattatreya and Lord Nagaraja (which was pending from the previous visit) and they started the construction of the area where Lord Dattatreya’s idol was to be placed and the Fig tree planted. The Skanda Vale community planned for the consecration of the two idols to take place during Mohanji’s UK visit to Skanda vale in August 2018.

A fig tree which was grown by one of the first Swamis to be ordained in Skanda Vale was selected to provide shade for Lord Dattatreya.

When the Lord wants to come and reside in a place, everything falls into place. It was a divine plan that Lord Dattatreya had to reside in Skanda Vale!

The beautifully carved idols arrived on time from India perfectly preserved and without any transport and customs issues. The dates for the Prana Pratishtha and the exact schedule for the ceremonies were finalised. Special priests were called to carry out the elaborate Prana Pratishtha ceremony over two days. This was a special week in Skanda Vale with the annual Subramanium Festival also taking place at the same time. The festivities were taken to even greater heights with the additional preparations for Lord Dattatreya and Lord Nagaraja’s Prana Pratishtha in Mohanji’s presence.

After reaching Skanda Vale late in the evening of 14th Aug, straight after the London retreat, Mohanji was ready for the rituals to commence the next day.

Homa3

15th Aug was the day when the initial purification process through Homam and other rituals happened.

Although the previous week had been dry and sunny, the weather reverted to type in Skanda Vale and it was raining heavily on the first day of the installation! The place where the Homam was taking place was very exposed, however the Skanda Vale community and Mohanji seemed completely unaffected by the rain and the wind, such was their joy and excitement!

Idols were brought near the designated place and Mohanji then carried out the ritual of opening the eyes, symbolising birth.

kalas_abhishek

It was yet another miracle that 15th Aug was ‘Naga Panchami’, the most auspicious day when the Naga Devtas are worshiped! On this very day, the commencement of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony occurred starting with the purification rites, positioning and placement of the Nagaraja idol and opening of the eyes. This seemed like a divinely inspired perfect plan.

Naga_idol_placement1

There were three specially blessed lingams that were to be placed under the Dattatreya idol. Unfortunately these had been left in London! Anxious calls were made to various devotees in London to see who could bring the lingams to Skanda Vale within the next six hours! This became a miraculous event for Mr & Mrs Thakkar who had wished to visit Skanda Vale for this inauguration but left it too late to make the arrangements. While sadly contemplating their fate they got the call to bring the lingams from London! They were divinely summoned by the lord to bring the Lingam stones just in time for the ceremony while also getting the golden opportunity to participate in the ceremony of Lord Dattatreya’s Prana Pratishtha.

lingam3 lingam1

On the 16th of August, the Prana Pratishtha puja and elaborate rituals continued for the whole day. The Maha Abhishek (bathing the idol with various sacred ingredients and finally dressing up the idol with new clothes and garlands) was a grand ceremony happening amidst mantra chanting and bhajans, filling the air with beautiful vibrations and a divine energy. After the inauguration, one of the priests who was especially invited to perform the ceremony told us that while he was performing the inauguration, he glanced at Mohanji and saw Lord Dattatreya instead!

The idol looked radiantly beautiful, shining after the Abhishek and adorned with clothes, garlands etc.

Dattatreya1

The idol didn’t look like just a stone idol. Lord Dattatreya appeared like an exceptionally handsome prince. The effulgent Lord looked stunning with striking smiles on the three faces; Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva on the sides and Lord Vishnu in the center.

After the Abhishek, Mohanji carried out the actual Prana Pratishtha; putting the life force in the statue through the heart centre.

Followed by this, Mohanji then did the naming ceremony, whispering the name in the ear of the idol.

Then began the Maha Arati. The atmosphere became electrified. We could feel the idol being alive.

Finally, Lord Dattatreya had come home to serene Skandavale amidst the beautiful greenery and the purest form of nature.

Mohanji shared the story and significance of Lord Dattatreya and the impact the Lord will have in Skanda Vale.

After the busy two days packed with the beautiful ceremonies, Mohanji spent the next couple of days in satsang with the Skanda Vale community and devotees.

As before, Mohanji did not hesitate to give His unconditional love to the hard-working, extremely sincere and disciplined community members through a series of casual satsangs.

casual_3.jpg

Whenever the community members visited Mohanji at the beautiful cottage very kindly and lovingly provided by Skanda Vale, he made sure that they all received utmost love and care and that delicious food cooked by Mohanji’s team was served to them all.

It felt like home with relatives visiting! We were one big family. The feelings of love and joy were prominent in the Skanda Vale family  and Mohanji family.

MFamily3 MFamily1

Incidentally, not just humans but even the animals felt the same joy and warmth too! Such as the four highlanders, who graze in a huge field just outside the cottage where Mohanji was residing. The love between Mohanji and the highlanders was beautiful. Especially ‘Hari’ who had been repeatedly saved by the grace of the divine.

Even Valli the elephant was brought by the Swamis to meet Mohanji! Mohanji and everyone else in the cottage at that time jumped for joy to see Valli. Mohanji rushed outside in just his vest and without his slippers! The excitement was mutual! Stroking her trunk, feeding her some food, getting her blessing and observing the silent communion between Mohanji and Valli was a beautiful experience that everyone cherished.

These moments are priceless. They cannot be planned, demanded or comprehended!  When you are with Mohanji, anything and everything is possible. All you need is a heart full of love and eyes to recognise grace.

casual_1.jpg

This trip of Mohanji to Skanda Vale was an extra ordinary trip for many reasons. Bringing Lord Dattatreya to Skanda Vale is of high significance as it reaffirmed the continuation of the tradition.

Mohanji’s visit to Skanda Vale was indeed a very special visit that the Skanda Vale community and Mohanji UK family will cherish forever. The fragrance of sincerity, dedication, devotion, discipline, compassion and above all unconditional love filled the air and made us all feel truly blessed.

With deep gratitude to Mohanji and the Skanda Vale community.

In Devotees’ words:

We asked some of the devotees who travelled to Skanda Vale with Mohanji about the significance of this visit.

Here are few of the expressions in their words:

Vijay Ramanaidoo:

vijay_fam.jpg

I first visited Skanda Vale as a young teenager in 1976 when my father brought our family there all the way from London. At that time the place was very different to what it is today! Throughout the years my family and I have visited countless times and had the enormous privilege to meet with Guru Subramanium, both at Skanda Vale and in Switzerland at the seminars held in Fideris and Kiental. Skanda Vale is a very special place for myself, my wife and our two children who were both blessed by Guru Subramanium on their first visits to Skanda vale when only a few months old. Guru Subramanium left a huge hole in our lives when he left his body in 2007.

One of my favourite temples at Skanda vale is the magnificent Sri Ranganatha temple. This is a temple of Lord Vishnu who is reclining on a serpent surrounded by water. The temple is unique in Skanda Vale in that it is an outdoor temple exposed to the elements. In the early years of visiting Skanda Vale, the area where the Sri Ranganatha temple is situated now used to be a field. I remember our Sai group from London singing bhajans in this field near the borderline with the trees. In 1997, during a puja in one of the other temples, a vision of the future Sri Ranganatha temple was revealed to Guru Subramanium. After miraculously locating the murti, the construction of the temple commenced soon after.

We used to travel regularly to Skanda vale during the construction of the temple and would stay for a few days in order to help in any small way with the building work. I remember that sometimes Guru Subramanium would come down while we were working and give us a piece of chocolate infused with divine vibrations to energise us! Slowly the temple took shape. Finally the time came for the inauguration of the temple on 30th October 1999 (Guru’s birthday). We had the wonderful opportunity to anoint the idol with oil just before the flood of water was released to create the pond which currently surrounds the idol.

When I first met Mohanji in 2011, on his first trip to the UK, I had a very strong desire to take him to Skanda Vale. At the time it was not possible and it was not until July 2015 that I was finally blessed to be able to take Mohanji and Devi to Skanda Vale. Mohanji instantly felt a strong connection with Skanda Vale and the monsatic community and was in immense admiration of the sankalpa of Guru Subramanium, who was able to create and sustain a place of this spiritual stature.

When Mohanji first visited the Sri Ranganatha temple in 2015 he said that Lord Garuda should be present wherever Lord Vishnu resides. He also suggested that Lord Nagaraja should be present at the entrance of the Vishnu temple for protection. Both of these promises have now been fulfilled! On a later trip to Skanda Vale Mohanji suggested that Lord Dattareya should also have a presence at Skanda Vale as wherever Lord Dattareya is, beings of a higher frequency also visit and the community will benefit from their high vibrational energies. This promise has also now been fulfilled.

The addition of Lord Nagaraja to protect the temple, Lord Garuda as Lord Vishnu’s vehicle and Lord Dattatreya in my view has served to enhance the beauty and spiritual vibrations of the Sri Ranganatha temple. I feel truly privileged to have been invited by Mohanji to play a small part in helping to get the idols to Skanda Vale. I also feel privileged to be present at this inauguration and to witness the Prana Pratishtha performed by Mohanji. All of these events are the icing on the cake for the wonderful association we have been blessed to have with Mohanji, Skanda Vale and the Sri Ranganatha temple over the years.

In addition to this, I feel that Mohanji’s trip was an opportunity for him to offer his loving support, encouragement and endorsement to the amazing work of the Skanda Vale Swamis, monks, sisters and community members which is all a testament to the grace and sankalpa of Guru Subramanium.

Subhasree:

Subhasree

Well, Mohanji’s visit to Skanda Vale was a bouquet with many exotic flowers:

1. Bringing Lord Datta to Skanda Vale wasn’t a simple thing. From creation to consecration, the smooth execution proved, this is nothing but a divine plan. It can’t be ignored as an ordinary event.

2. Skanda Vale Swamis chose Him to do all the rituals as the “Karta”, means a lot too. It showed the unity and the love between Mohanji and Skandavale family.

3. The sincerity and dedication with which He performed every activity taught us a lot. Being present on time for every single ritual, complete involvement, no reaction to any physical discomfort (be it getting wet in the rain or eyes constantly watering due to thick smoke or pain from walking barefoot on the stone chips while carrying a heavy pot with water on the head or even the hot oil spilling on the hand during Arati), nothing seemed to have troubled Him. That showed His ekagrata – focus and concentration. During the rituals, the mantra chanting, the detail in which Mohanji was carrying out the instructions from the priest, showed the devotion factor too. Even with all the attention and success, there was not even a drop of ego or ownership. If we just observe Him, we see the living example of a Raja Yogi, who has gone beyond the physical existence and has attained the perpetual bliss (samadhi) state. He showed us what it is to accept (accepting all situations), what it is not to have ownership and what it is not to have ego. In the incident of the evil eye being found during one of the rituals of purification, He let the priest lead, decide and do as per his custom. Allowing the priests to do everything as per their way, He gave them immense respect. At any moment in those two days, Mohanji never displayed any ego, doer-ship or showed off His knowledge. Basically, Mohanji lived His teachings. Just by observing Him, we learn this.

4. Even after tiring continuous activities, He always made Himself available and accessible to people who wanted to speak with Him, whether he or she is a Swami, monk, nun or a devotee. There was an instance when a teenage girl suddenly appeared outside the Shakti temple, demanding to speak with Him. It was already late in the evening and it was drizzling too, but Mohanji had no hesitation. He spoke to the girl and her mother and even gave them Shaktipat. There were many instances like that. All this showed Mohanji’s unconditional love, kindness and compassion.

Mohanji’s compassion towards the animals is worth mentioning too! I have seen the glow in His face, the sparkle in His eyes, the moment He spots the deers, or the Highlanders grazing in the field or meeting Valli. On the Prana Pratishtha day, He was wet from the sacred water being poured on His head, but when He came back to the cottage, He stood still for a few minutes near the field blessing the Highlanders! I was wondering, if it was us we would first run inside to get changed! These instances may go unnoticed, but the essence is that everything that He says, shows in the way He leads His life.

5. Feeding everyone who comes home was a top priority instruction to me! Not just making food available but to serve everyone with love and purity – this is such an important message about keeping our tradition that Mohanji kept giving me all the time. The various challenges that I was facing, I understood, were just to strengthen my conviction and commitment to keep up the tradition. Not to hesitate, not to back out, but to maintain that love and purity always. Whenever I lacked in something, He was there to correct me and to prevent me from falling. That was demonstrating true fatherhood. He let me walk independently, but never let me fall. Whenever I stumbled, He held my hand.

In essence, Mohanji brought Lord Datta and Datta tradition to Skanda Vale. He demonstrated the tradition through His own living. The most amazing fact was that the divine showed approval through how smoothly everything was executed. In Mohanji’s presence, there was no scope for any failure. After all, this was all Lord Datta’s play for His homecoming!

Jai Guru Datta. Jai Mohanji.

– Subhasree

Vigneswara:

Vighneshwra

I had gone to Skanda Vale to spend some quality time with Mohanji in a powerful place, where the energy levels are always very high. Of course, when I came to know that there were two days of rituals of Lord Datta and Nagaraja Prana Pratishtha, my joy was unexplainable. The energy during these rituals were so high, as if all the 33 crore deities had descended. The Divine showed their blessings in the form of showers which poured during the homa and pujas. While everyone was so deeply merged in the pujas, I was struggling to bear the high vibrations! It became so unbearable that I had to come inside the Ranganath temple, moving away from the open place where the homa was happening. There I suddenly saw Guru Subramanyam standing! I couldn’t first believe what I was seeing, I just kept surrendering to Mohanji and the Guru Mandala. Mohanji was doing all the rituals with so much dedication and sincerely, it felt as if Lord Datta Himself has come down. The visions, the power and the vibrations of this ritual was amazing.

After the celebrations, I also got some time to be in Mohanji’s presence at the cottage and even got the opportunity to do some seva to Him by pressing His legs. Little did I know what is going to happen to me being in a power center, after participating in such a high energy ceremony and touching Mohanji’s body which is a power house! His one glance, one touch and one Shaktipat can clean thousands of layers of karma. I was not just touching Him, but was even pressing His legs! That night, I had such deep cleansing in all levels, physical, mental and spiritual. The transformation that came was beyond my expectation.

Not only this, on the very last day, I also had the opportunity to do food seva in the form of making some South Indian snacks and selling them to the devotes to raise funds for the Skanda Vale Hospice. While I was preparing the food, we had some obstacles such as not having the right tools. However, nothing could hamper my spirit. Because I was not doing this just for selling, I was offering this to my Lord, Mohanji. So whatever effort it may take, I had no worries, no stress. With love for my beloved Krishna, Mohanji, I prepared every single item. Even though I could not go up to the cottage to offer this to Mohanji myself, some food was sent to Him and later I heard that not only He ate, He enjoyed them too. That day we had a very good collection, from an unexpected snack stall event. Skanda Vale Swamis appreciated this a lot.

This trip with Mohanji to Skanda Vale and these memories will stay in my heart forever.

Jai Mohanji.

Mita

I have been visiting Skanda Vale for many years. This place with its serene environment and powerful energy always makes me feel divine. Since Mohanji started visiting Skanda Vale, I feel more connected to Skanda Vale. The community, Swamis, Brothes & Sisters feel like our own family.

It was a great opportunity to be at Skanda Vale again in Mohanji’s presence. This time it was even amazing as Lord Dattatreya’s Prana Pratishtha was going to happen. In October 2016, when Mohanji participated in the Soma Skanda Temple inauguration in Switzerland, I was blessed to be there and the experience from that time is still vivid in my memory. I couldn’t miss such an opportunity again!

Knowing that bringing Lord Dattatreya to Skanda Vale was Mohanji’s suggestion, a divine plan that was being manifested through Mohanji, I felt even more fortunate to be able to be present in this occasion.

The two days long ceremony was just out of the world! The vibrations, the purity, the divinity was beyond comprehension. Mohanji was performing all the rituals and that made me feel like I was part of the family doing this ceremony, not just a spectator attending. Everything just looked so beautiful, cheerful, joyful. The air was filled with positivity. There was no stress or tiredness. All the ceremonies went on so smoothly. The Maha Abhishek and Arati was just so powerful. When the Arati was going on, I had closed my eyes and when I opened and looked at Mohanji performing the Arati, it looked as if Swayam Maha Kali was doing the Arati. Maa Kali in Skanda Vale is the most beautiful, compassionate and loving Maa Shakti. That’s exactly how I felt when I saw Mohanji doing this Arati. My head bowed with devotion.

Lord Datta looked so beautiful and alive!

I have no words to convey my gratitude to Mohanji for having given me this opportunity to be in this ceremony. This was indeed a once in a life time experience.

Not just the Prana Pratishtha ceremony, but being in Mohanji’s presence, I got a chance to be in the loving presence of the Swamis, Sisters and Brothers too. Serving food to the divine souls was a secret desire which was fulfilled unexpectedly and this made me feel very content. In Mohanji’s presence, we only experience joy. He calls me lovingly “chef”. Whatever little I do in Ahimsa, is only trying to walk on the path our Guru has shown us. I can’t hide my smiles and joy when He calls me that. Well, while with Him, we have no desire, no asking, just soaking in His unconditional love and compassion. The four days in Skandavale with Mohanji were in deed the most fulfilling experience so far.

Thank you Mohanji for all your love and keeping us with you always.

Yours “chef”, Mita.

Brahmarishi Mohanji
Tumre charan sparsh se
Dhanya hua skandavel

Tumre darshan maatr
Dhanya hue shishya gan

Tumne nazar se
Sabka man moh liya

Prakriti ne bhi ras barsa
Saare dev gano ne kiya ashirvad
Guruvo ke guruvar Datta khade muskura
Naag Raja bhi kar rahe intezaar

Ganesh vandana aur
Kalash pooja se samarambh hua anushtaan

Bhaktgan ke man pulkit kar
Ved mantra goonj uti
Vigrahon me abhishek ki dhara bahi

Doodh madhu trimadhur naliker or anna abhishek
Aankhonko ko madhurya kiya

Mohanji ne praan bhare
Vigrahom me jivan bhar ayi

Vastraalankrit pushpon ke har pehan
Datta or Naag dev khade muskura

Homkund me poornahuti hui
Mantron se swahakaar hui

Karpoor aur Aarathi
Gayatri ke sang hui

Bhakton ne bhajan gaye
Khushiyo ke pal cha gaye

Skandavel ki pavitrata aur badi
Har dil me yeh samaroh samaa gaya

Jai Gurudatta Jai Mohanji
