Experiences of Empowered 5 – Part 3

By Linda Abrol, Netherlands

In the final part of this testimonial, Linda shares some of her beautiful experiences with Mohanji in India after the Empowered programme.

The moment I got home from Serbia at the end of October 2022, my existing problems worsened. It was as if the Kailash challenge had come home with me. And not unsolicited or unwanted. It was welcome but also extremely painful.

Energy prices were skyrocketing, and our popular vegetarian Indian restaurant, where energy is used in abundance for the tandoor oven, the big gas stove, and all the refrigerators and freezers, the dishwashers, the grease filtering system and lighting, was quickly heading toward bankruptcy.

My husband’s depression worsened together with our marital problems. And that to an unbearable point where my husband and I began to discuss divorce seriously. Since I didn’t have a job, ageing and osteoarthritis made the chance of finding a job difficult – living on my own seemed virtually impossible. Not wanting to depend on others, I faced the worst-case scenario of becoming homeless.

I simply witnessed the possibility and was amazed at how balanced and empowered I felt beneath the emotions and mind games. I kept my back straight and continued to practice my focus on alignment by concentrating on Guru Consciousness, self-acceptance, Kriya, inner silence and, in extreme situations, Pause Technique.

The same issue I faced during the days of the Empowered retreat in Serbia surfaced again and again – misunderstanding – but with more intensity. To the extent that I thought that no one really understood my pure intentions. Many loved ones seemed to look at me through a veil of their convictions, colours, ideas, and opinions and judged me for almost every decision I made with a pure heart.

My decisions seemed totally egoistic in the eyes of nearly all my dear ones, and their judgment seemed final. I felt extreme loneliness. Kailash and Empowered 5 energies seemed to intensify my challenges. Shiva takes everything and leaves you empty, but only with your permission. It is like buying a ticket for a rollercoaster ride and yet being surprised by its ferocity.

Fortunately, I didn’t resist even the deepest feeling of desperation and fear of the unknown and stayed considerably stable. Both Kailash and Empowered didn’t only trigger the trials. They gave the ‘medicines’ as well in the form of a deep underlying peace, acceptance and a feeling of absolute safety, no matter what happened.

In the midst of all personal trouble and trauma, I bought my ticket for India to attend Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday celebration, which was being conducted yearly on the 23rd of November 2022 in Sri Soma Sai Skanda Ashram in Nidugatha, Maddur taluk, near Bangalore. This was the first time the celebrations were held without the presence of Swami Gopal Baba, who took samadhi in 2020.

After his samadhi, covid prevented any celebration in the ashram. While still in the body, he had asked all of us devotees to keep attending the celebrations even after his samadhi. I couldn’t disappoint my Guru, and although our financial situation seemed to be under immense pressure, I completely trusted that the universe (the Tradition) would take care.

But the deciding factor to go was the chance that Mohanji would attend the celebrations. A few months ago, I woke up with a strong feeling: how wonderful would it be to celebrate our beloved Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday in Swami Gopal Baba’s ashram in Mohanji’s divine presence?

Experience has taught me that those ‘satwic desires’ tended to come true. I called my friend Sita and told her of my vision. She said that her husband Nico had a dream in which he saw Mohanji in ‘Kalyanpur’s room’. Kalyanpur was a businessman who donated the money for many constructions in the ashram. He had an apartment in the ashram where he would stay when construction work was going on. This sounded wonderful to me. We decided that B. was the best person to invite Mohanji to the ashram personally, and Sita asked him if he was prepared to do that. He loved the idea and said he would consider it.

We took that as a ‘yes’ and assumed that Mohanji was officially invited. Every time I thought of my coming journey to the ashram, I felt the joy of Mohanji being there. Both Sita and I sent an unofficial WhatsApp message to Chris Greenwood, Mohanji’s EA, and I mentioned in a message to Preeti Duggal – still assuming that Mohanji was already invited – our sincere prayer that he would be willing to be present at the coming celebrations in Sri Soma Sai Skanda Ashram.

Mohanji was in Delhi and appeared to have extended his stay there beyond the expected arrival time in the Sri Soma Sai Skanda Ashram. He was North, and we were South. Somehow, I knew he would change his mind. There was no fear, doubt, or desire, simply a happy anticipation. And a prayer that all Swami’s disciples would feel Gopal Baba’s love through him.

Always when a great Master takes samadhi, and there is no appointed successor, a situation arises where there may be confusion about future plans, convictions, positions and opinions, mixed with intense feelings of mourning about the Master. As far as I could see, despite this turbulent time, Swami’s boys and sevadals did an amazing job of upholding the Guru’s will and maintaining the ashram according to his liking. They never missed performing a ritual that Swami Gopal Baba would have done, even if no attendee or visitor showed up.

A few days before the birthday celebrations, my travel companion, Yvonne, and I visited Mohanji’s ashram in Bangalore to join in the noon aarathi and to embrace Amma and Acchan, Mohanji’s parents. Rajesh Kamath was home and told us that Mohanji had changed his plan and cut his visit to Delhi short to come to the ashram in Nidugatha. I was over the moon with joy, as you can imagine.

On the 23rd of November, I heard Mohanji’s voice inside me: ‘… therefore, I was sent (from Delhi) to the South to look after my children.’ I experienced it as a confirmation of my prayer that Gopal Baba would bring clarity and happiness in the form of Mohanji. Swami Sri Gopal Baba was the embodiment of the divine Mother and – although occupying a male body – would call us her children. Now it was absolutely clear to me that she had come on this auspicious day to look after her children in my beloved Mohanji’s form.

When Mohanji actually arrived, and I got the chance to express a few words of gratitude, he simply said: ‘I had to come!’ What a blessing it was, and what a confirmation! Mohanji was received by Swami’s disciples with all regards, was invited to the sanctum sanctorum of the main (Kamakshi) temple, had lunch in Kalyanpur’s apartment, just like Nico’s dream had already predicted a year earlier, visited Swami’s house, walked hand in hand with the main trustee of the ashram, inaugurated the newly built dispensary and made each and every disciple happy by his unconditional love.

Beautiful pictures of this joyful occasion can be found on Mohanji’s official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MohanjiOfficial/posts/pfbid028ApVHoTyYQ5bYromd7Fn8mm3rHXtSYZHJaogaub8h2PCwwJuSd82P4WiEPWbD4awl

After the celebrations, the real mystery evolved. Who had officially invited Mohanji? It appeared that our assumption B. would do it had not come true. B. had not been able to invite Mohanji for some understandable reasons that he explained to us later. But he told us that Dinesh – one of Swami Gopal Baba’s devotees from Delhi, who happened to have walked the Outer Kora with Mohanji – had invited him during his recent stay in Delhi.

My Sherlock Homes instinct woke up. I sent a message to Dinesh. He answered: ‘No, I didn’t invite Mohanji. I only mentioned the celebrations to him. Mohanji then told me that He had heard about the celebrations from Preeti Duggal and a few others, and He ‘impulsively’ decided to attend them while talking to me.’ I was stunned to hear this.

Then who invited Mohanji officially? How did The Mother come to her children? Was it simply the innocent and sincere prayer of two of her children and a dream of a third that invited her all the way South? Dinesh and Sita said: ‘It was the Tradition that invited Mohanji.’ My inner voice had already confirmed that statement. Which mother needs an official invitation to come to her children? The mother is simply drawn towards her children when they need her. She knows every need, even before her child cries.

Miracles do happen, but it is not a good thing to assume things without checking facts and turning them into a miracle. Therefore I didn’t end my search here. I asked the managing trustee of the Sri Soma Sai Skanda ashram, and the missing part of the mystery got solved.

After hearing from Dinesh about Mohanji’s change of plans and his intention to visit the Sri Soma Skanda Ashram, they officially invited him for lunch and the inauguration ceremony of the dispensary, despite the intern rule of the Trust to not invite any spiritual Gurus or Masters to the ashram during major functions like Swamy aradhana, and Sathya Sai birthday. The reason was understandable and simple. They all would be busy with function activities and probably would not be able to receive their official and holy guests with proper rituals.

So, the actual miracle was that for Mohanji, the Trust members made an exception to their own rule. A miracle was that Mohanji came spontaneously, despite having other plans in Delhi. That it so happened that he had another function in Bangalore on the same day and could combine them conveniently.

Nico’s dream was part of the miracle, and our prayers that came true were part of the miracle. Our hearts being filled to the brim with love and joy was part of the miracle. Kannaiah’s presence and his being able to officially welcome Mohanji and attend to all his needs while Swami’s Indian disciples were busy with the function was part of the miracle.

Seeing Mohanji humbly bowing down in sincere respect to our Guru’s picture in his house, despite his own immeasurable spiritual status, was part of the miracle. Mohanji’s remark during our goodbye was that we were welcome in his ashram in Bangalore during the remainder of our stay in India was part of the miracle.

Sita, Nico, Yvonne and I were blessed to spend three afternoons with Mohanji before we flew home, with many hours of satsang. And with blessings and hugs of dear Amma and Achan, his parents who felt very very close, eating with the family, attending aarathi, watching Mohanji in the set up for a live zoom session, meditating in the guestroom while he was doing some other work.

On the day before our flight, Mohanji served us our meal like a divine Mother. He served every item with his own hands and didn’t forget anybody or anything. Once again, during this journey, he proved that he is not only the embodiment of the Divine Father but the Divine Mother as well!

These were sheer miracles and completely unexpected. On how we deserved this grace while Mohanji had such an incredibly busy life being involved in activities in 91+ countries, He answered (as I remember): ‘It is not easy to get to me like this. You have been involved with sadhana and with Masters for many years.’

We experienced so many blessed miracles on this journey that we had to ask ourselves: are we able to digest all this? As soon as I heard my limited thinking, I recognized the mind talk and directed my mind towards more elevated ways of watching the course of events: being with our Guru involves being open and limitless. There is nothing to digest. Digesting is limited to a person.

Being in divine presence requires simply flowing and experiencing the grace of every living moment. In the best-case scenario, there is only Him. My sincere prayer is: May we all be able to flow in Guru Consciousness, where there is no mine or me. Experience moment by moment. And as soon as we forget, may we wake up to his presence once again.

Power of Purity meditation and Mohanji Energy Transfer

By Princy Sreekumar, India

Jai Mohanji. I would like to share my experience during Mohanji Energy Transfer during Power of Purity Meditation. The moment Arpanaji touched my forehead, I felt like I was standing on a highway of light. I could see Mohanji’s face like the bright sun pulling me towards him. When Arpanaji was holding her hand on my head, I was moving towards the light.

At that moment, I knew how much time it would take me to reach the light, and usually, Arpanaji won’t hold her hand on my head for that long. It made me think I may not reach light before that. But she only took her hand after I reached the light, keeping her hand on my head longer than usual. The moment I reached the light, I heard the voice saying, “Follow the light,” and I started moving ahead in a light tunnel.

In between, something else was pulling me, and it was taking me some other way which was darker. At that moment, again, I heard the words, “Follow the light.” So I start following the light and move towards it. Many a time, I got pulled by less bright roads or some not-so-lit tunnel, and each time, I heard the voice to follow the light. That voice guided me back to the light. I could relate this to what is happening in life.

Even though we want to be our true selves, to be the pure being and be one with the light, many distractions pull us – old patterns, not having the courage to break them, and trying to fit into the frames our family, friends or society put on us. Many may be going through the same as I am now. We should bring our focus back to the light; as Mohanji is there with us, we should utilize the opportunities and always yearn to follow the light.

My deepest gratitude to Mohanji, ‘one of the brightest lights ever to exist,’ for being there for us. Each time I come for group meditation or do some seva is like Mohanji pulling me back to light from all those distractions of this mundane world.

Thank you so much, Arpanaji, for giving us the wonderful opportunity to soak in the energy of Mohanji. Thank you for the delicious food, and really appreciate the effort you have put into preparing it. Thank you to all the participants and Arpanaji for sharing your experiences; I felt so much bliss. It was hard to leave the place; I just wanted to keep listening about Mohanji and all your experiences with him.

Dream lesson – The danger of not following instructions and losing a Master

By Joanna Marie Allas-Fojas, Phillippines

I just woke up from a dream of Mohanji today. In my dream, Mohanji was with his group of disciples in a huge city like New York. It was a very glamorous and seductive city but very chaotic. We went there for an event. I was with his group of disciples, and Mohanji was taking care of us, guiding and giving us instructions on what to do while we were with him. Upon giving instructions, he left with his team. I really wanted to be with Mohanji and wanted to get his blessing (alone). I left my group of mates and followed Mohanji all by myself, which was not part of his instructions. I saw him in the church alone, and I wanted to go near him.

I said to myself this is the chance to approach him, but I didn’t do it because I felt ashamed. It seemed inappropriate because this was his alone time, and this was not part of the instruction or program given to us. Then I walked past Mohanji and bowed my head down, not looking at him. Then I saw a group of Indian people approach Mohanji, and he gave them his blessings, and each one received a gift. I ran towards the group and went to Mohanji to get my blessing too, and when I saw him, I got shocked because he was no longer wearing his white robe, his hair was short, and he wore regular clothing, a blue shirt and jeans but he still looked like Mohanji.

Then he was saying something to me telepathically… that I was not using my time efficiently enough and that I was not following his guidance and instructions. Because of this, I may get lost in the path, and it will all be too late because the tiny door of liberation is closing soon. He also said that I was wasting my time following his physical body and that it was an illusion. I was losing my time playing around with Maya by following my illusionary desires (material things) of this world. My attention was easily swayed and drifted to all that was unnecessary. Then Mohanji left… I was alone.

I went back to my group mates and but I couldn’t find them! I was retracing my path, but I seemed to forget the way back. Then I found myself in this scary dark building with lots of people, but I didn’t know any one of them. People seemed frantic and scared. There were groups of military men and politicians trying to contain the people. The people around told me to give my passport or documents to them or else they will lock me up there.

The men had guns, and I gave them my passport. I was so afraid and almost crying. Luckily I managed to sneak out of that crazy asylum. Before I left, I tried to remember that place and the name of the politician who took my passport so that I could go there again and get my passport back. During this time, I was already lost. I stumbled upon unknown people in that very dark, crowded, and scary place. The once beautiful and fancy city became a nightmare.

I was calling Mohanji, but it seemed he couldn’t hear me. I couldn’t find my way back. I met other Filipino people and friends on the way, but they couldn’t help me because they were too stuck in limbo and Maya. I felt alone, afraid, confused, and devoid of bliss and happiness because I got lost. I kept on walking and walking. Everything seemed dark, cold, and scary. There were too many people, but their lives were empty, full of fear, and aimless.

I then went into a theatre. A famous Disney show was about to start. I was given a VIP seat and was very much tempted to stay and watch it with famous celebrities beside me. But I stopped and reminded myself about my purpose. This was not what I wanted and not what I was looking for, so I left the theatre and continued looking for my Guru and finding my way back to him.

I search and search for Mohanji everywhere, but it’s a big city with gigantic buildings and millions of people walking around. Looking for Mohanji was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I tried to go back to our accommodation area, but I didn’t know the address, and I didn’t know which bus to take or where to go. I was getting desperate and afraid.

During this time, I am calling Mohanji. I tried remembering his teachings by going within my heart and connecting to him from there. The more I connect within, the more I feel I am near my spiritual friends and group mates again. Then my phone rang! My divine Mohanji friends were also looking and trying to contact me! But I couldn’t answer the call because the signal was weak, and I didn’t have enough charge to call them back.

I was walking and walking, trying to feel the presence of Mohanji in that city, but it was very hard to feel because the energy of the place was too dense. I felt too that the door was going to close soon. I prayed sincerely from the heart that I’ll reunite with my divine friends again, or else I might lose them forever and get trapped here in this world of Maya/illusion, never knowing when will I see my Guru Mohanji again. Thus my dream ended.

 Lesson:

 1. Our time with Mohanji is short and precious.

 2. It is easy to get trapped in the hypnotic call of Maya and but the Door of Liberation is tight and tiny and is closing soon.

 3. Always listen to the instruction of the Master/Guru and follow up to the tiniest detail.

 4. Be in the company of saints, divine friends, and spiritual family, and never leave them.

 5. Go and aim for liberation now. Do not deviate.

Messages through dreams

By Mary Rose, Philippines

Mohanji is the reason for so many changes happening for the betterment of my life. I want to thank him for his constant presence in my life. I just want to share my three dreams of Mohanji, and I hope the messages will reach your ears and your heart.

The first dream I had was way back in 2019. I can still remember it like it was just last night’s dream. I was in an outdoor cafe, and there were lots of people. Some I knew, some unknown. Everyone was wearing white. As I walked amongst the crowd, I saw Mohanji. He was talking to someone intently, and he caught a glimpse of me, but he didn’t say anything nor show any visible reaction. We just looked at each other. This dream happened when I was still learning and discovering who Mohanji is. It showed me the purity he carried, and as I was seeking him, he already saw me even when I was one of the many in the crowd, showing me that when the time is right, the Guru finds us.

The second dream was in a huge garden of an estate. Still with lots of people, and this time, I didn’t recognize anybody. Someone was flying or paragliding at times, and I thought it was me, but then I was walking in the garden. I found a bench made of concrete and sat there, just amazed by everything I saw. Across the bench was this huge door, and suddenly it opened, and Mohanji came out. He was carrying a book. Mohanji sat with me and opened the book. It was a very old book based on the hardcover. It looked like it was made of gold but dirty.

When Mohanji opened it, there was a watch inside. I couldn’t remember if it was an old or a new watch now. He was telling me some things, but sadly I couldn’t remember what was said. Mohanji gave me a hug and left. Although I couldn’t remember his words, when I saw Mohanji in his white robe and showing me a book with a watch, I felt that it was time for me to step up in my spiritual journey.

My third dream was during the time I was practicing the 49 days of Mohanji Gayatri mantra chanting. In the dream, we had just finished our hike from Mt. Kailash. I was with Mohanji and some other people. We were in a hotel or cabin lobby and outside was covered in snow. I saw my pieces of baggage, and as soon as we got the keys, Mohanji told me to go to the room and rest. I went to check the room, which was on my right side, and it had lots of beds with clean sheets, white and crisp. The bed looked so soft and comfortable. I remember his words to me. Rest, and I will take care of everything.

In this dream, Mohanji showed me that when I am connected to him, all I have to do is trust his guidance and protection hence the words, “Rest now, and I will take care of everything.”

Thank you for taking me with you to other dimensions, Mohanji. I am grateful, and I’ll always be grateful. Even if I may not get a chance to meet you personally, at least in my dreams, I was able to hug you and travel to Mt Kailash with you.

All in all, since 2018, Mohanji has always been there for me. Though I may never have met him in person, he never fails to answer in some form or another whenever I ask him something in my mind. The Guru leads us to ourselves, and Mohanji did that for me. I am eternally grateful that he saw me from among the crowd, even though it took me a while to realize that he is always walking by my side, guiding, protecting and mentoring me.

A new voice!

By Natalija Mejandzieva

On the last day of Empowered 5, Mohanji was finishing up with a final satsang. It was quite a long one. He was, as always, giving love unconditionally, focusing his time on us completely.

“Consciousness is experiencing life on earth through me” – this rang in my head. I resonated with this very much, and I could honestly feel it after intensely working on the silence inside for the past couple of days as I experienced earlier that my emotions are here, they are happening, and they will go again. I saw this drama that the mind creates based on emotions. I felt so much lighter and was so grateful that I was aware of it.

After the satsang, Mohanji got up from the chair he was sitting on and continued to walk towards the exit door. As always, there was a river of people who wanted to hug him. It was an unusually big number of people, so I stayed aside. I went a little closer, but still far behind people, just to watch and observe him. I stood there for a little while when he noticed me and called me himself. He asked: “Don’t you want a hug?” I was thrilled and said “Yes!” like a little girl. I hopped towards him and slipped into the hug. He then asked me, “Are you singing?” I said that I was. Then he touched my throat, gently squeezed it and said to me, “You should sing more.” I felt so grateful for the opportunity he gave me. I felt happy and fulfilled.

It was the next day I had a glimpse of what he actually did. That was the day when Jelena and I were supposed to record our vocals for the ACT Foundation song. We had a great day together, did some vocal exercises and went to the studio. She recorded first, and while this was happening, I wasn’t in the studio. When I came back, I started to sing, and somehow everything felt so nice and flowed easily. You have to know that the voice is not always ready and, in different periods, needs more or less preparation. It can sound different throughout the day.

The recording process was so easy for me. Usually, when I go to record in a studio, I don’t like my voice. But this time, there was something different happening within me. After the first try, the producer turned and said to me, “You made it in only one try. And your voice sounds so nice!” I felt good after this, but at the same time, I was humble as always and said let’s try again. We recorded a few times, and I felt like I wanted to sing more because my voice was more open than before. I was thinking about why it was so easy to connect with my voice and find the right way to sing. I visualized myself having some different connection with it. I felt like I am amazing!

The same day, new pictures from the retreat came up on the official Mohanji Facebook page. I scrolled them down fast, and I found myself in one of the last pictures. It was the moment when he touched my throat. This was the sign. The moment was even photographed. It was so clear.

A few days after that, I got a chance to see Mohanji, and I told him about this feeling. Then he confirmed – “Yes, I gave you a new voice”. That is what he actually said! I was mind blown. He is inspiring and blessing me to walk towards the thing I love to do the most. I have sung so many times for the past few years but rarely felt this love and expression. And he even gets me closer to actually feeling it more. The thing I was not so good at was suppressing everything, and when the right feeling came, I couldn’t recognize it.

So much gratitude and love I have for my Master. He is walking with me always, every step of the way. I am so lucky to be found. How lucky I feel to walk with Mohanji?

I know that there are a lot of things that are about to happen, and I am open to experiencing them.

Thank you for connecting me with Jelena. She is an amazing person and definitely is getting me out of every comfort zone ever! We are totally different, but we both feel there is a connection that has a higher purpose. Thank you so much for everything you are doing. The things I am aware of and the things I am unaware of.

I love you, your Musician!

A visit to Pashupatinath

by Ulla Bernholdt

Visiting Pashupatinath in Kathmandu leaves you in awe.

It is a high-frequency energy centre where life and death, the past and the present meet, and miracles happen.

I would like to share with you an experience of how the grace of Mohanji saved me from taking another birth.

We often hear Mohanji say that people who are connected to a true Master can feel a certain intensity in their lives because the Master is reducing the number of lifetimes. What was supposed to be experienced over many lives gets reduced to only a few but more intense lives.

Mohanji teaches us that a strong emotion connected to an experience leaves an imprint on us, which calls for us to take another incarnation for the fulfilment of a desire.

In January 2022, my dear friend Gurudatta and I went to Nepal to do Annadan. In Kathmandu, we visited the Pashupatinath temple area, which is a huge temple complex. It has 492 temples and ashrams and also serves as a cremation ground on the ghats of the Bagmati River.

Pashupatinath is considered one of the most sacred Hindu temples of Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is the 13th Jyotirlinga, and people would come from the whole Indian continent and beyond to visit and worship the ‘Lord of the Creatures’.

When I arrived, I felt a deep desire to enter the main temple despite not knowing anything about the place. But I couldn’t fulfil the urge; I was denied access because Pashupati’s main temple is strictly prohibited for foreigners. You must have a certificate to prove your Hindu status if you look like a foreigner.

So, an armed police officer stopped me at the entrance asking if I was a Hindu. I am not religious in a traditional way. Still, the Hindu philosophy, following Sanatana Dharma principles and the liberation aspect of Hinduism is what come the closest to my own understanding and my experiences. This is why I told the guard I am a Hindu. But there was no way I could convince him, having a white complexion and no written proof. “You must go and talk with the people at the Sanskrit office”, he said, “they will explain.”

In the office, they said I had to be not only a Hindu but a Hindu by birth. Then they gave some examples of celebrities who had been denied access, such as Sonia Gandhi, the wife of the then Indian Prime Minister.

The officer then told me that there was only one way I could attain eligibility to enter the main temple. That would be if my desire was strong enough so that I would be born again as a Hindu in Pashupatinath.

I was very disappointed, and inside I was crying because I could not enter the temple. At that point in time, even I could not understand myself. Where did this deep craving come from to visit a temple I had never heard of before?

Outside, youngsters were recording TikTok videos with the temple as a backdrop. Still feeling sad, I tried to see the positive side of the situation and concluded that I was indeed blessed to be born a westerner. Now, I have the capacity to travel to Nepal, do service and represent our Tradition. What if I were born again in Pashupatinath and I only cared about taking selfies like those young people?

Nothing is given to us just by taking another birth at Pashupatinath; what if my level of awareness would be lesser, and I would forget my purpose? Indeed, we cannot be sure of getting the same beneficial circumstances that would make us crave for God and realisation. I do not wish to take an additional lifetime to go to one temple. And besides that, Shiva is omnipresent, so I don’t need to look for him in a temple!

All these things I would try to convince myself. But the fact is after six months had passed, I still carried a very strong craving to visit the main Pashupatinath temple. Even though I knew it was impossible, I still hoped that someday I could enter. Every time I thought of the place, I would become very emotional, yearning to go there.

I now went to Nepal a second time, and though I knew it would take a miracle for me to enter Pashupatinath, I could not give up my strong desire to enter the inner court and at least touch the temple.

One day, I went to the temple market to purchase rudraksha malas and some gifts for my friends. Without even having planned it, I was drawn to the main gate of the temple, where an armed police officer was on guard. Spontaneously I approached him, thinking that I could at least try to enter.

Again, I was asked to prove my status as a Hindu. “Where is your Hindu card?” The guard asked. Of course, I did not have such a card, but it came to my mind to show him the only cards I had; my Acharya visiting card and a Mohanji card. After an explanation about my connection to Mohanji, he accepted, and I was granted access to go through the first gate!

I was stunned, thinking that only Mohanji could open the sealed doors for me. Confident that Mohanji could grant me access, I approached the next checkpoint.

At the final gate, the procedure was the same. Again I was accepted by showing Mohanji’s photo on the card as an admission ticket!

Now finally, I could enter the courtyard and touch the temple! It was such an overwhelmingly happy experience to me, so fulfilling. The temple was not open, so I decided I would do three rounds of circumambulation, and I prostrated at every doorstep. At the end of the 3rd round, the big boss policeman came and threw me out of the premises saying foreigners were not allowed. I could do nothing about it, but I was feeling so happy now my mission was accomplished.

This experience shows that Mohanji and his blessings are always with us and can take away any blockage in our life if we are eligible. We don’t know if we are eligible before we try. Mohanji knows what prevents us from going forward, and he does everything possible to fulfil our desires in this life to save us from taking additional births. He never postpones; he does his job even if it takes a miracle for us to reach completion.

Just as I end this story, I found an article in the Speaking Tree regarding visiting Pashupatinath:

The temple is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams (Holy Abodes of Shiva) on the continent. In the past times, only born Hindus were allowed to enter the temple. Others could look at it from the other side of the river. However, the norms have been relaxed due to many incidents. If the individual is destined, they take and complete the journey to reach these footsteps without any resistance or obstructions along the way, under Rudra’s loving grace. It is the final stage of harsh penance. Thus, the slave (pasu – the human condition) becomes the Master (pati – the divine condition).

I offer my sincere gratitude to my Master Mohanji, who is the epitome of compassion and unconditional love. May I grow to be as selfless as you, dear Mohanji and serve the world!

Experiences with Mohanji, India 2022 – Part 1

By Linda Abrol, Netherlands

When, on Tuesday, 5 July, I was walking in the woods with Mira, our stubborn Maltezer Shih Tzu, I received a phone call from the hospital. The last result of the extensive blood test has arrived. All other results were negative, but this last one was positive. “You’ll have to come back in three months for another blood test. But the doctor has already discussed this with you. And you can ask the other questions in three months when you get the test results,” said the assistant. When I started googling, to my horror, I saw that it was an autoimmune disorder with the possibility of various health issues like a heart attack, brain infarction, thrombosis and pulmonary embolism due to blood clotting. Giving blood thinners would be worse than the disease. Cure possibilities? No, no cure is possible. If both treatment and cure were not an option, then I would become a kind of time bomb, right?

I came across a story in Guru Leela about the immense benefits of Shiva Kavacham and immediately started listening once a day. Then the thought of Judith from Switzerland popped up. I do online Consciousness Kriya yoga with her and had also recently met her in person in Wales when Mohanji came to Skanda Vale in June 2022. Judith knew an Ayurvedic doctor in Switzerland who had two clinics in India. She thought that I really should come to Switzerland for a diagnosis by Dr George. She had never met anyone who could diagnose better.

Judith called Dr George himself to ask if there was a place for me in the hospital. 2 days later, I received a call from Dr George. He told me he could not treat me with medicine and asked if I could come to India. And if I could, if I could buy a ticket the same afternoon because his secretary was also going on holiday and had only one day left to help me with all the forms and formalities. I immediately decided to go. I called Antje, his secretary, on Friday afternoon, 8 July. She helped me enormously. The first available place was already in a fortnight! I booked my ticket the same afternoon, and even my medical visa was arranged the very next day. For that, I needed a doctor’s certificate from the hospital in India, which arrived in time.

Judith said it was a miracle that Dr George called me so quickly. That people had to wait three months for a call from him. Let alone that they could get an appointment for a diagnosis quickly. That he often gets a thousand emails a day. Who else but Mohanji could have achieved this miracle?

I was quite calm under the diagnosis and all the preparations for the trip. But under the skin, something was tickling. I started worrying about the flight because I had an increased risk of thrombosis. And because that chance is multiplied by three in an aeroplane. I sent a message to Subhasree and explained my predicament. I had a meeting with the women’s circle I attended, a lovely, small and intimate group of women who come together on a monthly base with the simple aim of loving and sharing. To support each other to keep or raise our energy frequency. I felt safe enough to share my fear with them. Suddenly there were many tears, and then I noticed how scared I was to end up half-paralysed and helpless in a wheelchair or in bed. There were four pairs of loving arms around me, and I let myself go completely and be carried in their energy. It was not wallowing. It was a total surrender to what came up as a torrent that slowly faded away, leaving behind a very clean environment, taking the fear with it.

When I got hold of Subhasree on the phone just before the trip, she promised to do Mai-Tri on the day of the flight. “And take an aspirin before you take off,” she said. “Mohanji says you have to be practical too and aspirin thins your blood.” Of course, I gladly followed her advice, and the trip went off without a hitch. And because the long queues at the ticket counter and at customs (due to the extreme shortage of staff at Schiphol these days) are not good for thrombosis either, she advised me to apply for Airport Assistance. But I was already too late for that. I decided to let that part go and see what would happen. If necessary, I decided I would dance in the queue. But strangely enough, the queues turned out to be minimal, and within an hour, I was at the gate, where I had heard stories of people who arrived at their gate after four hours and saw their plane take off right in front of them.

I took my aspirin just before take-off and walked up and down the aisles on the plane. At the Delhi International Airport, I suddenly felt a strong sense of gratitude for the prosperous journey and apprised Subhasree of my experiences. When I looked up, I saw a clothes shop and what was written on it in big letters: BIBA. For those who don’t know: that is the name of Devi Mohan, Mohanji’s wife! How close Mohanji felt at that moment! His Shakti made everything possible and even a pleasant experience.

And the fine experiences had just begun! I had already exchanged my fear of a sick, weak and nauseous process for the option: what if everything goes smoothly and is fun too? At Kochin International Airport, I was met by Sajid, the driver of Vedasudha Ayurvedic Hospital. His friendly welcome and support were just a prelude to all the warmth that flooded me on arrival at the hospital. Friendly faces were welcoming me, fresh flowers were offered to me, and I lighted a flame at the entrance of the patients’ accommodation.

The hospital was beautifully situated between rubber plantations and rich houses on adjoining grounds with more than two hundred and fifty medicinal trees planted with care by the teacher of the owner. An adorable reception building with a small temple for the founder of Ayurveda, Dhanvantari, a beautiful patient quarters with covered galleries, a cow shed, a yoga hall, a dining hall, therapy rooms and so on. The roofs of the buildings were constructed in such a way that they protruded in all directions, forming verandas for shade. The tiles were red, and squirrels used them as playgrounds.

Each butterfly, leaf and tree was twice the size of similar butterflies, trees or leaves in the Netherlands. The real tropical rainforest feeling. I could hang in there! The female therapists were unanimously dressed in pink and the men in blue. They were also unanimously friendly, helpful and caring. I was told that the energy frequency of the place was really high, which was not difficult to feel.

Why am I writing about all this? Because I could not have realised what a blessed place I had been sent to. I consider that another blessing from Mohanji. At first, I had thought it was purely a physical treatment and was happy when I discovered that they were treating human beings as integral beings. But that I would end up in a place with such a high frequency of dedicated service, compassion, and higher science is so much more of a blessing than I could have imagined.

And yet another blessing: Dr George normally worked in his practice in Switzerland, but he could examine me personally because he was now in India. And I had already heard from Judith how specific and accurate his diagnoses were, but now I also heard it daily from all the other patients. So, even though his doctors in India were phenomenal, I wanted to hear from him about what I was facing. He confirmed the hospital’s results by pressing certain points, looking at the colour of the inside of my ankle, and examining my tongue and pulse. He also examines a lot of other things, but he does that automatically according to the patients who were already there. He could give me good hope for healing. Of course, he could not give any guarantee, but he was positive. They would try to separate the crystals in my blood from the healthy blood, let it sink into my feet and then vein it out. That sounded very strange to me, but anything was better than being a time bomb.

Herewith, part 1 of this testimonial comes to an end. This is just the beginning of a wondrous experience, staged and guided by Mohanji’s grace from the initial shock of the very beginning to the wonderful and surprising end of an adventurous and unexpected extra journey. More on that later in Parts 2, 3 and 4.

Miracles of faith

Natalija Mejandzieva, Macedonia

“When you have faith, I do miracles.”

-Mohanji

I have experienced happiness, love, gratitude, sadness, loneliness, confusion, acceptance and much more. This all happened in a very short time. I feel this was happening because of my decision to serve Mohanji.

How could I explain, and where should I start, because words are not enough. I am truly blessed to have had these experiences. When I started writing, I couldn’t stop, so I wanted to share one experience that was very meaningful for me.

“When you have faith, I can do miracles.” This sentence was ringing in my ears. I finally felt what it truly meant.

Two days before I started serving, my father had a heart attack. When he called to tell me, I felt calm and even tried to calm him down on the phone while he was breathing heavily. Then my mind got in the way, and all of these questions came up: Why am I being calm? What if he dies? What’s going to happen after that? Being an only child of divorced parents, I often had fears of losing them.

He called again and said he would be transferred to the capital city (where I am working) to have an urgent procedure. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, I felt that fear of losing him. I tried to sound calm on the phone.

I finished work and bought some things he needed in the hospital. They wouldn’t let me see him because he was in the Intensive Care department. With the grace of Mohanji, the way opened, and I got to be the exception to see my father. When I got there, they had already started with the procedure. I had to wait outside until they were done.

Those 20 minutes I waited, I prayed to Mohanji to be with my father, guide him and take care of him. I surrendered my doubts and fears completely at his feet. I started connecting to him, felt him in my heart and found peace inside. I felt the calmness because, deeply, I knew everything would be okay. I had complete faith that all would be fine.

And everything was fine. My father was looking refreshed as he got up after rest. He then told me that the doctor said his chances of survival were 10 %. Everything happened in the right second. I wished him a happy birthday because he had started living his second life.

I felt so much love, support and gratitude. I feel like Mohanji was here all the time, holding my hand and giving me guidance and directions. I have never experienced this kind of stability. I felt like I was lying in his hands with my eyes closed, trusting him completely. I will remember this experience always. He is in my heart, and I am very grateful for everything he does for me daily.

I am grateful for the awareness and decision to share this with people. I am not so open, and I need so much time to start opening up. I feel this flowing so naturally, and I really want to share it with people. That day a few times, I thought – I want other people to experience this feeling I have.

Thank you so much for your grace and love.

Let your faith heal you!

By Elham, USA

Mohanji’s grace has always flowed in my life since I met him in 2014. This testimonial is one of many blessings that he showered on me, and I will cherish all his blessings for the rest of my life and can’t ask for more. Surrendering this testimonial at Mohanji’s lotus feet.

In April 2022, Mohanji was coming to the USA after four years and this was very exciting news for me. In the past couple of years, due to Covid, we could not travel to meet him. I could not wait and started counting down every day. As always, when it comes to meeting Mohanji, challenges will start happening, and to me, it’s a testing time of faith and conviction. It’s not easy to reach Mohanji; it’s not that we want to meet him. Pure intention is needed, and then, by his grace, barriers and obstacles are removed.

Due to some circumstances, it was impossible to participate in the USA retreat, which meant we could meet him only for two days in Sedona! I was deeply sad about losing this precious chance. A few days went by with sadness, plus tears kept coming, and then I started surrendering to him. I told myself I would enjoy and cherish every moment of these two days to make them eternal moments and won’t stay in sadness. The closer we got to the events, the more opportunities to meet Mohanji were coming up! We learned about a fruit tree plantation in Phoenix, a satsang in LA, and later on, two more fruit tree plantations in San Francisco! WoW! Grace, Grace, Grace!

I need to give a little history about my health. I used to have hypothyroidism for more than 20 years, healed by Mohanji’s miraculous touch in October 2019, and I already wrote about that. Also, I have had two herniated and degenerated neck discs since 2015 due to some injuries. Hope nobody is familiar with such pain, but it can be very paralyzing. I had pain every day, from low to extreme pain, changing based on my activities or even mood. Anything could trigger that. Any simple daily chores were painful. This feeling that my nerves were getting smashed was there all the time.

Treatments didn’t work, and I had to go for surgery, but I was not interested in such an approach. Sometime back, very severe pain started and lasted for five continuous days, nonstop from waking up to sleep, and no pain killer helped. I was wondering if it’s karmic, and I need to go through it to accept it more easily. I asked Mohanji, and he just said, “I understand.” Then he said, “Get help from Homeopathy and Ayurveda.” That’s it! The pain stopped completely in less than a couple of hours, and I never experienced such high intensity of pain anymore!

Finding Homeopathic and Ayurvedic doctors in my area took time, but finally, after some time, I started taking those medications. It was helpful on the pain level, but still, the pain was coming and making me slow in my tasks and even affecting my eyesight.

The time came to travel to meet Mohanji. My husband Farshad and I traveled to Phoenix by driving, and even though the week ending the trip was not easy, and I had pain every day, when we started traveling I didn’t feel any pain during those times that I was driving. Driving was one of the pain triggers.

We went to the airport to welcome Mohanji in Phoenix, and it was incredible to have his heavenly hugs! Immediately you feel freshness, love, peace and happiness. I was floating in the air and couldn’t believe that finally, we had met again.

There was a fruit tree plantation event in Phoenix, and it was so hot that the sun was shining strongly. Mohanji was standing there, and George, who was in front of him, looked at Mohanji and said it would be good to have some clouds! We all laughed and knew what that meant. Mohanji smiled, and a few minutes later, he pointed at the sky with a finger and said something. Shortly clouds moved in front of the sun, and a very pleasant breeze started coming!

I was enjoying each moment, and more grace was coming my way. In Sedona, a couple of times, we could be with Mohanji in his accommodation by his grace and invitation and also through my lovely Milica, for which I’m so grateful. His accommodation was just five minutes from our hotel, and being this close to his stay was another joy. For me, it was the first time to see him outside of programs. He was sitting on the sofa, so simple and silent, seemingly on his phone, but who knows where he is working and whom he is helping. This mind won’t know.

We had the blessing to massage his feet which was a long-time wish, and he made it happen, and this was our gain, not that he needed a massage or anything else from us. He was fulfilling wishes one by one! I’m sure it’s not about me only; others also experienced this too; Mohanji gives love to all without any expectations, but the mind may forget and expect more from him if we are not grateful for what has been given before.

In Sedona, Mohanji started having severe coughs. On the second day, it increased so much during his speeches. My heart was wrenching with each cough. Such sudden changes in Mohanji’s health were a sign that he took something from someone or even many people onto his own body. I couldn’t bear to see him in pain even though he does not suffer from pain.

Then I closed my eyes and went into a kind of meditative mode but could hear him speaking. I could hear some words bolder and louder. I heard him speaking about the connection and devotion of Hanumanji to Lord Ram. Then I heard these words, “Let your faith heal you.” It went deep into my mind, but I didn’t know the story behind those words. On the same day, I heard this quote from Christopher in a conversation, and I got more curious to know where it came from, but I didn’t ask, and it slipped from my mind.

Later on, it came out that Mohanji took a severe lung ailment from an old lady at her final stage of life. She had a deep wish to live longer and had desires to fulfill. She prayed deeply, and as always, Mohanji answered sincere prayers. He says, “I don’t have any choice.” He is so innocent. These coughs and discomfort in breathing were there till the end of his travel to the USA. Even though it only reduced gradually, he didn’t stop anything, any plan, any program or interview. He was determined and selfless.

Even though we didn’t have any plans of going to San Francisco, and it seemed impossible with my husband’s job, everything fell into place, and we could travel there with less than two days’ planning and stay in the same hotel with Mohanji. Such grace!

One of the plans in Phoenix was to visit a Sai Baba temple which got cancelled due to lack of time, and I had the wish to go to the Sai Temple with Mohanji. In SF, without planning in advance, we visited a very beautiful Sai Temple with him! He fulfilled another wish. It’s like he has thousands of ears and eyes!

There were two fruit tree plantation events in SF. It was amazing to witness many people who came to express their love and respect for him. Nobody wanted to lose the chance to hug him or touch his feet. After SF, we all headed to LA. For us, it was a great blessing that he was coming to our city, where we met him for the first time in October 2014. He hadn’t come back here to the West of the USA until this time, after more than seven years!

Another grace! I came to know that the house that Mohanji was staying in LA with his team was only 20 minutes away from where we live, and this, in the vast LA, means a lot and doesn’t happen accidentally! I was unsure if I could meet him there and not be a burden, and I prayed to him, “You are here just 20 minutes away from me, and I still look at your picture!” He heard my heart.

He showered grace on me and said, “When I’m here, you can come every day, and you can come wherever we go.” I was flying! There’s no limit to his kindness! And it was amazing that every evening he would say, see you tomorrow morning. His unconditional love has the power to melt hearts. He is the rarest gem on Earth. He doesn’t belong to anyone. Nobody can own him, and he belongs to the Universe, to every being who seeks help, hope and light. It is a perfect delusion to think anyone can own Mohanji. As the Masters have said, “Mohanji is a friend of the Universe.”

It was the best time of my life, sitting and looking at him, walking with him, having the chance to bring a cup of water or such things and once he ate from what I made! So many wishes came true only by his grace.

Satsang in LA was amazing and so powerful. Almost all participants were meeting Mohanji for the first time and listening to him with all focus. After the satsang, he didn’t think about his health condition even though it was very cold, standing for such a long time and giving so much time to people to come one by one and talk to him, ask questions, sign books or receive his blessings.

With his presence, LA was different, the crazy heavy traffic became so smooth, and cars moved out of our way. Everything was bright and shining. Nobody was out of his eyesight. When Farshad was coming after work to meet him, Mohanji asked if he had eaten and kept saying, “Eat something”. He is always working on people and, most of the time, in some ways that the mind can’t understand.

Once, when I was overwhelmed with emotions and tears were rolling down, without looking at me, very calmly, he said, “Elham, have tea.” I said, “I’m fine, Father, thank you.” After a few minutes again he repeated and I said the same! At that moment, it came to me, what was I doing? Why do I keep refusing! There is a reason for what he says, always. He repeated that for the third time, and this time I said yes immediately and got tea, and after just a couple of sips, I felt so calm, no tears, not emotional anymore and something had been washed away from my heart! This was a repeated lesson for me that never resist when Guru tells you to do something; even if the mind says something else, just follow.

Even though I was waking up early, going to sleep very late and was doing so much driving, I was not feeling tired and felt so fresh and energetic. Those dreamy days went by so fast, and Mohanji and the team flew out. After Mohanji flew out, we hosted Deviji for a few days, and as always, being with Devi and her energy is incredible! So dynamic and happy!

After all those intense energies and everything that happened in that short span of time, everything needed to settle down. Soon one day, again, I remembered the quote and asked Farshad what Mohanji said about it. Farshad explained to me, and this is the story if some of you don’t know like me.

When a person approached Jesus Christ for healing, Jesus asked him one question. Do you believe I can do it? The person said yes. Then Jesus said, “Let your faith heal you.”

This was very meaningful to me. I already experienced healing by Mohanji for my thyroid, and I knew he had the power to do any healing. Then I started realizing something more and more every day. At first, my mind could not believe it, but I was sure after a few days. There was no more pain in my neck! It is impossible that I don’t have any pain within a couple of days, and now I do not have pain even though Mohanji is not here physically!

A few days later, I heard Mohanji had a stiff neck! I understood what that meant. A stiff neck is something I’m very familiar with after many years of neck issues. I was sad that he took this onto himself; it was a very strange moment as I was happy that there was no pain when I heard this.

I was thinking nobody does such an act of love, without even mentioning it, without any propaganda, very silent, very humble. If you ask him about such things, ask whether he has done that; he will only smile at you. You never get an answer because Mohanji is so humble. Mohanji always practices being insignificant. Sometimes he even gives the credit for a miracle or healing that he has done to someone else. This could be a test of ego for the person too.

It’s not possible to thank him. Words are so small in front of such greatness. I felt I should write and share this as a way to express my gratitude, and it may reach someone who needs it. People often get many things from Mohanji, either healing or material wishes, but sometimes they don’t say at all. Maybe they think that they might lose it, or sometimes the mind manipulates the experience, and they think it happened by itself or it’s because of their hard work.

Acknowledging the source opens the door for more grace to flow. It also helps deepen the connection and to increase the faith. It took me time to write this testimonial, so meanwhile, I started sharing it verbally with whomever I was talking to, and I noticed I felt even more improvements in my wellbeing. Through this healing, the quality of my life increased so much, and this is priceless to me, and every morning I wake up with gratitude to Mohanji. Thank you, Father.

I humbly surrender my whole existence at the feet of my Lord, Mohanji Baba; always at his lotus feet.

An enigma called Mohanji

by Surya Sujan, Kerala

Mohanji is a mysterious phenomenon. One may call him an enigma or a wonder. It is a great feeling to recollect our school life – playing and enjoying together. Those intimate moments of togetherness are great blessings indeed. I am sure it will be remembered for ages to come.

We studied together in 1978, and it took 37 long years to renew that relationship. Now my old classmate (Mohanji) is not only a friend but also my brother and Guru. Since meeting him again in May 2017, we find time to see or talk to each other, even if it is just for a moment.

Mohanji unexpectedly called me on 3rd May 2022 and asked to meet in person. I went to his house at Palakkad on the 4th and spent time together with his parents – Amma and Achan – which made me really happy. Mohanji reached late that night and enthusiastically called out, “Surya”, when he saw me. Extending his hands, he embraced me tightly and poured lots of energy into me. He then retired for the night and said he would see me in the morning.

When I woke up the following day, Mohanji was already awake, sipping tea. While Mohanji, Achan, Madhu and I were talking, Mohanji suddenly said that his thigh muscles were cramping. I used to assist my husband when he complained of muscle pain in his legs. So I thought I could help Mohanji. I sat behind Mohanji to assist in lifting his cramped muscles. Mohanji’s legs were as firm as granite. Seeing Mohanji in this position, I felt as though it was Lord Hanumanji in a loin cloth ready on his mission to Lanka. I closed my eyes and started chanting the Hanuman Chalisa spontaneously. I remembered a similar experience from 2014 mentioned by Rajesh Kamath in his book ‘Miraculous days with Mohanji’. Similarly, in 2018, other devotees noticed Mohanji’s lips and cheeks swelling up, appearing like Hanumanji. This had happened as he was about to visit the Sai temple. (click here to read about this incident)

Everything indeed is Mohanji’s leelas. This showed that Hanumanji still lives. He is a Chiranjeevi (immortal) and will live forever. I was still in awe on how my friend gave me this realisation through this beautiful vision. If this wasn’t enough, my friend was ready to give me an another surprise!

I was supposed to leave by 8:30 am to the station, and Mohanji was to leave for Shirdi temple at the same time. Mohanji asked me why I was leaving so early. I replied that I had no other option. After this, Mohanji went in to shower. Achan and I were sitting on the sofa. Suddenly I received a text message that the train would reach Palakkad only by 11.47 am. So I ended up accompanying Mohanji to the Sai temple!

It was all Baba’s leela and a sweet gift from my friend as a blessed ending to this visit!

Everything is always exactly as it should be

By: Jelena Raicevic, Serbia

Translated by: Maja Otovic

I have witnessed many miracles since Mohanji came into my life, and especially since I took his hand and learned to feel that grip in all the turbulences of life. And just when I think that nothing can surprise me, something stronger than ever shakes me and triggers an avalanche of emotions in me, blurs the senses and stirs the mind. These storms are now very brief and quite intensive. Like electroshocks, they reset the system and further sharpen the receptors for information coming from space outside my mental body (mind, intellect and ego).

One such electroshock was a retreat in Divcibare in 2021. Unlike the previous retreats that had their introduction, culmination and conclusion, this one was without rules, completely unpredictable, and the conclusion it left was very difficult for me to accept. Namely, it was the moment when Mohanji let me know that I should detach myself from the attachment to his physical being and sharpen telepathic communication because any communication with him in the physical body was slowing down my telepathic connection. I knew that moment would come one day, but I assumed that I would be completely ready for it when it did. And in my estimation, that was definitely not the spring of 2021, but it was so, according to Mohanji.

After the retreat, my husband and I returned to Belgrade. I was supposed to start working, but my suffering for the above mentioned and the powerful processes that began in the retreat were not allowing me to do so. I stayed at home for a few more days in order for the emotions to settle down, and they were the most diverse emotions indeed. Some of them were so foreign to me on the conscious plane and were hard to accept, but as the resistance was becoming stronger, so did the suffering. I had no other choice but to slowly surrender and accept with great faith that, in the end, it was the best possible scenario for me. And as time worked wonders, peace, understanding, and my daily routine were slowly returning to my life.

Through social media, I found out that Mohanji stayed longer in Belgrade, and I felt occasional bursts of happiness because we were in the same city. Once, as I was going through the pictures of the Mohanji family on FB, a thought went through my head, “If I could only cast a glance at you before you leave!” The thought was still flowing when I heard Mohanji’s voice, “I’ll see you tonight!”

I looked at the clock. It was around 17h, and my husband and I were supposed to get ready for the meditation scheduled for 18:15h at the Lotus Yoga Center. After that, we had agreed with our best friends to take a stroll around Zemun because the evenings at the beginning of June were wonderful. And it was our wedding anniversary that day.

Um… it’s not that I didn’t believe the voice that I heard, but the logic said: what are the odds that you will run into your Guru in a city of two million in the late evening hours!? You have to agree, not very big. So, I quickly suppressed that voice, considering it an echo of my desire, and proceeded with my plan for the evening.

And the evening went according to plan. Optimal temperature, dusk, Danube, Zemun promenade, all this dispelled the fear of the corona and drove people outside, so Zemun really looked magnificent. It reminded me of my first encounter with this small town, back in the 90s, when, also one June evening, it dispelled the fear and horror of the wars in the Balkans with its beauty, and I thought: “I want to live here! This is my spot…”

Sunset had already passed when someone suggested that we could have a drink, “Let’s go up to Gardos, in the pizzeria Taurunum, because of the beautiful view of the Danube!” We all agreed that we could walk to it, and if we were lucky enough to find a place for so many of us, then great.

My friend and I were a little behind the rest of the company that had already arrived and entered the restaurant. The two of us were standing in front of the restaurant and talking about something when my best friend ran out visibly emotional and said, “You can never guess who is here!” She paused for a moment and added, “Mohanji!”

I remembered the beginning of the evening and the words, “I’ll see you tonight!” My heart started pounding like crazy. You know that moment when everything stops. When time, space, mind, intellect freeze, only you exist. I walked into the restaurant and saw a large table filled with a diverse group of Mohanji family, observing this strange encounter visibly happy and surprised. I felt the energy of Mohanji’s presence, so familiar to me that seems to thicken the air in the room.

Mohanji himself stood at the table and asked with a wide smile, “Well, how is it possible that we met?” In my excitement, the only thing I could say was, “I knew it,” and to hug him, infinitely grateful for this timeless experience. He asked, “Did you!?” But those words were unnecessary and superfluous. All the most important things took place on another level where everything is clear, where there is no doubt and probability theory, where a strong, sincere desire of a pure heart is realized at the speed of light.

After greeting and taking pictures, we parted, and my companions and I sat down at the nearby free table. I tried to get involved in the conversation that was going on, but it wasn’t easy. I looked over my shoulder several times in the direction of the Mohanji family table to see if it all really happened. Yes, they were there! Then I looked at the tables around the restaurant. People were sitting and talking casually, with no idea that they were in the field of someone who transcended the boundaries of everything they knew. Someone who changes your life, even if you only lightly touch as you pass by each other.

I turned towards my husband; we looked at each other and laughed at the same time: “If these people only knew…!”

Shirdi experiences – part 1

By a Mohanji follower

When I began writing this testimonial, I thought I must begin at the point when I learnt about the retreat in Shirdi with Mohanji and the kriya initiation. Then I thought – no, this tale had actually started a few months earlier. Well, over a year before, actually, when I’d come across a blog in which I had read about Mohanji for the first time and seen his pictures. No, in truth, it began years ago if I had to link up the moments neatly. And then I realized I might have to write a booklet of sorts to narrate the entire story from the start, even though it consisted mainly of very simple moments.

A prayer answered

So, after extensive debates with myself, which involved some unnecessary name-calling on both sides, I’ve decided to begin from a point in mid-2021, when I started to read seriously about Mohanji, listen to his talks and read his books.

Every single thing I read or heard resonated very deeply with me, and I started to feel an intense devotion towards Mohanji. An instinctive belief took root that I had finally found my Guru.

I prayed for a chance to meet Mohanji in person. In June 2021, I received training in Consciousness Kriya, and from that point, I was also eagerly waiting to be initiated into Kriya by Mohanji. Empowered 1.0 helped deepen the faith that Mohanji was my Guru, and my wish to meet the Master increased greatly.

The powerful saint of Shirdi

I had always believed in Sai Baba, but until I came across Mohanji’s talks on the internet, I had not known much about his life. But Mohanji’s powerful talks on Sai Baba encouraged me to purchase the Sai Satcharitra. By the end of the first reading, I felt that the entire book was a very powerful, spiritually cleansing mantra.

I did the parayan of the sacred book a few times, and each time, I would feel that something had changed for the better within me by the end of the reading. Also, if I had done the parayan for any particular reason, my wish would be fulfilled, or if I was facing any emotional/mental turmoil, I would receive insights that would soothe and calm me down. I encouraged some of my loved ones to read the Sai Satcharitra, and they too benefited tremendously and developed a deep faith in Sai Baba.

There is a temple near my home, and many deities are worshipped there. One of them is Sai Baba. Over the past 3-4 months, every time I visited the temple, I would tell Baba – “Please call me to Shirdi” or “Please let me come to Shirdi.” At the same time, I was also praying for an opportunity to meet Mohanji and seek his blessings.

When I first heard that Mohanji would be coming to India, I was thrilled beyond measure and decided that I would travel to whichever part of India he was visiting. And then I received the next message that he was going to be in Shirdi. It felt as though the universe had opened up a big bag of blessings and poured them over me.

A surprising sight

I was still grinning widely at the message about Mohanji’s visit to Shirdi when my mother called me. For many years now, she has followed the practice of giving freshly cooked rice to crows in the noon before we have our lunch. Usually, my father offers food to the crows. But he was busy that noon, so my mother asked me to do the needful. My mind was full of Shirdi and Mohanji as I carried the rice and emptied it in the designated spot. Two crows came and sat a little far away and began cawing. Then a raven flew up and perched near the rice. Immediately, another raven joined the first one and then a third one came flying.

I was taken aback because it is very rare to spot even one raven in the area. In fact, in the ten years or so that we have been living in the house, I’d seen ravens just once or twice before, and at the most, I’d seen two together. And this noon, three of them had appeared all of a sudden. I was startled for a minute. Then, for some reason, I found myself smiling and assuring the birds, “Yes, I’m going to Shirdi.” If anyone had seen me at that point, I have no doubt I would have been made to undergo a serious psychiatric evaluation.

Anyway, the first item on my to-do list was to apply for leave from the office. I remembered that a colleague had applied for leave on 17th December, the scheduled date of Kriya initiation. My heart sank for a moment since it meant that I would probably not be granted leave as we were short-staffed at that point. Then I vaguely remembered that she had posted something about that leave in our group chat just 2-3 days ago. I quickly checked the chat and saw that she had postponed her leave to the 20th from the 17th; another blessing.

A request for grace

But there was one more issue. As per my menstrual cycle, I was to get my periods on the 18th or a day earlier. It’s part of my personal code that I do not visit temples/chant mantras/touch any spiritual objects if my periods are going on. The idea of visiting Shirdi and not being able to take Sai Baba’s darshan was unbearable. I became so anxious that I started doing a parayan of the Satcharitra with a request to Sai Baba that I should be able to take his darshan.

But then, on the second day of the parayan, I happened to watch a video in which Mohanji was talking about Sai Baba, and he’d said that we shouldn’t ask Baba for anything and should just surrender to his will. I felt guilty after hearing that, so I mentally asked Sai Baba to forget that I had asked him for anything before doing the parayan. I completed the remaining days of the parayan without having any prayer in mind.

I think it was probably after I had completed the parayan or was close to doing so that I saw a dream one night. It was a long, convoluted one, but one moment of the dream was crystal clear, and I still recall it vividly. I saw Baba’s luminous form sitting on the stone, and he told me something to the effect that, “You were angry because you were kept away from saints such as Swami Samarth of Akkalkot. But I’m with you now.”

The dream moved me intensely because until I’d met Mohanji, I’d expressed my anger towards the divine many times over the years over a feeling that my prayers for a Guru were being ignored. But I’ve understood now that prayers for spiritual growth don’t go unheard. The dream also alleviated my anxieties related to the trip.

Was it really -? It was. But was it?

On the morning of 17th December, I left home at about six in the morning and waited outside for the hired cab to arrive. Then I learnt that the driver had parked in the wrong place. After giving him the directions, I stared impatiently at the turn in the road from which the cab would be arriving. It was dark, and in the dim illumination of the street lights, I saw an elderly man dressed in an orange/saffron kurta and white dhoti with a bag slung on a shoulder walking on that road. He was quite far from me, and there wasn’t sufficient light, so I couldn’t see his face. As I watched him, I idly remembered the experiences of Sai Baba devotees that I had read about and heard in the previous months and how Baba often appears in the guise of an old man.

The thought had just popped up in my head when the old man glanced in my direction, and while continuing to walk, he raised his right hand as if in a friendly greeting. It surprised me, and I turned quickly because I was sure his wave had been meant for someone behind me. A middle-aged couple walked on the road behind me, but they seemed engrossed in a conversation. I turned again swiftly. The old man was still walking, he was still looking in my direction, and his hand was still raised. Totally confused, I stared at him blankly until a wall hid him from view.

The cab arrived, and the astonishment over the incident with the old man was forgotten briefly. Later, when I thought about it again, I felt a doubt that I had probably hyped up the entire thing in my mind. Maybe the old man had really just waved at someone further down on the road behind me. But in my heart, there has been no space for any doubt. It remains peacefully convinced that the unbelievable happened…

Again, my mind is holding up a huge placard with doubt as I type this, but my heart is waving it off with a peaceful smile. I surrender both at Mohanji’s feet.

Stranded and confused

I was to get down at a particular spot in Thane, where I was to meet with four wonderful souls and travel together to Shirdi in a different vehicle. All of us were eagerly waiting to meet Mohanji for the first time.

I reached the designated spot by 6:45 am but learnt that the cab that was to take us to Shirdi had taken another route and stopped at a different place. Since I was completely unfamiliar with the area, it was difficult for me to understand the directions given by the driver of the other cab, and somehow, the location sent on the phone too wasn’t working properly.

To give you an idea of my situation, I was standing on a narrow service road, close to the foot of a major flyover, and vehicles were speeding past. There was no one around whom I could ask for directions, and to get a rickshaw, I would either have had to walk to a signal that was about 15 minutes away with my heavy bag. Or I would have had to walk for a while in the other direction, cross the road and wait for a rickshaw and just pray that the driver would be familiar with the area and would know the new meeting spot. The sky was just lightening, and there wasn’t anyone around whom I could ask for guidance.

Unexpected help arrives

Just then, a rickshaw stopped in front of me, and the driver got down. He asked me where I wanted to go with a lot of kindness. I was hugely relieved and got him to speak to the cab driver. The auto driver told me he knew precisely where the place was and said it was about 6-7 kilometers away. He said he had been heading in the opposite direction but had spotted me standing on the service road with a lost look and had taken a U-turn (and also broken a traffic rule, I think) to reach me just to guide me about the route I needed to take.

I asked him if he could take me to the right spot. He refused apologetically because he would have had to travel on the wrong way down a major road to do that. He told me to walk to the nearest signal, gave me clear instructions about what I needed to tell the driver of whichever auto I would find, and told me about some landmarks too. I thanked him sincerely, but I was still feeling quite confused as I picked up my bag and started to walk to the signal.

But the auto driver suddenly changed his mind and asked me to stop. He said he would drop me at the location but would charge a higher-than-usual amount. I was so grateful that I almost told him that I would pay him double of that!

A silent guardian

The driver of the cab that had brought me to Thane had not stirred while all this was going on. He had told me that he had recently moved to Mumbai from Bangalore and was very unfamiliar with the city, which is why I hadn’t thought of asking for his help. And I’d assumed he had continued to wait there because he was talking on the phone or was probably resting. But as soon as I got into the rickshaw, he drove off, and I realized only then that he’d stayed back just to ensure my safety because of the isolated nature of the spot where I was standing.

It felt as though kindness was pouring on me from all sides. The auto driver dropped me at the right place without needing to check with the other driver again or asking anyone for directions. Before he left, I told him gratefully that Baba had sent him to help me, and I truly believe that.

Eventually, after a pleasant journey, we reached Shirdi in the afternoon, and after a short rest, arrived at the venue for Kriya initiation.

To be continued ……
