From antiquities to awareness

by Vipin Koodiyedath, Kerala, India

Water droplets do not know about the ocean. But those drops of water are not satisfied until they become the ocean. Every drop of water is a journey in search of the ocean and the journey of that water droplet to dissolve in it. The water droplet can only be completed on target when it reaches the river.

Mohanji is like a river, and it keeps flowing. When we drown in that river with our minds full of the filth of antiquities, we become aware of our purpose.

Overcoming all obstacles, the first water droplet begins its journey through the cliffs of the mountains, and its life journey through the valley is always challenging. Mohanji’s life was like that. By the time Mohanji had flown into the abyssal valley of enlightenment, much of the value of his talking life had left him. One thing we do not remember is the pain of the river when we enjoy the beauty of the great waterfall.

Researchers and philosophers can only be found in the timeless tradition of India. Overcoming all worldly desires, they will carry out their enlightenment work quietly and unselfishly and complete their mission, and they will be fully realized. Mohanji is the Guru of that series.

Mohanji says that it is not time but the conviction that heals your wounds. That conviction is not merely physical. It’s about recognizing who we are.

From the Indian subcontinent, Mohanji’s journey spans 92 countries. From a place called Puthur in Palakkad, his mission has now spread worldwide. For some, Mohanji is a friend; for others, he is a guru. For many, he is a guardian; for some, he is worshipped as the incarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba, and for those who rejoice in the play of an avadhoota, he is an incarnation of Dattatreya Maharshi.

The life picture of any person is never static; It is subject to change over time. Those changes must be in pursuit of his purpose in life.

My Musings on (Mohana) Krishna

My-Musings-on-Krishna

by Rekha Murali, India

With Krishna Janmashtami (the birthday of Krishna) celebrations happening all over the world, I listened to and learnt some Krishna bhajans/songs. I came across a chirpy Tamil folk song of Krishna as a child called ‘Maadu Meikum Kanne’. This song is a conversation between Krishna and his mother, Yashoda. Yashoda pleads with Krishna to not drift into the forests with the cows by cajoling, threatening, frightening and tempting him with goodies. But our chirpy Krishna retorts with clever answers to each of her pleas. It left me giggling and amused.

After this, my mind drifted to my dear Mohanji, and I could see Krishna in him in all aspects. Little wonder that I think of him as Mohana Krishna always. I could draw many parallels to Krishna. Just like Krishna, he is amusing, witty, friendly, easy to communicate with and immensely down to Earth, pulling people’s legs and making everyone feel totally at ease. Endearing and loving, he is highly compassionate and melts in the love of his people. Krishna leelas or antics of Krishna are told as stories in every Indian home, and I am sure each one of us in the Mohanji family has our own experiences of Mohanji’s leelas.

Mohana Krishna (Mohanji) lives in the moment, enjoys the moment and as Krishna lives as an ordinary human being in this incarnation. In his many roles, some people see him as a child and enjoy taking care of him. They attend to him, admonish him when he ignores his health issues and are strict with his diet and routines as a loving mother.

To some, he is a friend – a friend who can be trusted, a friend who doesn’t judge you and a friend who accepts you as you are with all your weaknesses and strengths. As a true friend, he honestly guides and supports unconditionally and can show a mirror to them in a loving way. He appears as the go-to person in times of happiness and sorrow. Devi Amma has called him Jagatmitra – the friend of the Universe.

In contrast, he is also an enemy to some, as Krishna was to Duryodhana, the king of the Kauravas (in the Mahabharat). Mohanji recently mentioned that a man once told him that he hates Mohanji. Mohanji had replied, “You don’t hate me; you hate yourself.” His equanimity, the unconditional love he displays for all beings of the Earth, was also seen in Krishna.

A strict father to another group, Mohanji can admonish, scold and show anger at deeds. Does this mean he is angry with the person? Definitely not! He shows his anger at the action but not with the person. This scolding or anger removes baggage/patterns/blocks that we carry based on our constitution. A shout or a scold is always a blessing to the person.

Can Krishna be without his Radhe or Gopikas? Mohanji has a large group of people who love him as Krishna, consider themselves as Radha (a woman who was the closest to Krishna, a lover) and are drawn to him like bees to a flower. He attracts the Gopis (women enchanted in their love for Krishna) and Gopas (men) who are enchanted in his presence and love him as the divine in their hearts.

The Guru aspect is recognised instantaneously by some people as they see him in the role of a Master. “Every disciple creates a master”, says Mohanji, and as disciples, we have drawn him to us as our Guru. And to connect to the Guru, we use various paths, such as Jnana, bhakti, and karma yoga. Through these, Mohanji represents the path of Dharma and Ahimsa. He leads by example and reflects what the devotee seeks through knowledge, devotion or selfless action.

Above all this, he is the Para Brahma, the supreme spiritual Master. Mohanji speaks the simple truth and guides each spiritual aspirant to the inner Guru, to recognise the self within. The self within is the Krishna, bright and luminescent like a million suns. The truths laid out by Krishna in the famous text, the Bhagavad Gita, is brought home to us by Mohanji in baby food format, so all of us easily digest it in this Kali Yuga!

Whatever the form or Avatar, Mohanji is a personification of unconditional love, compassion and kindness. He lives for the world and helps in ways that we can never be aware of. No one goes empty-handed when with Mohanji. Unknown to us, he fulfils our wishes and works on us in subtle ways based on our constitution. What is required from us? We need to connect with his consciousness by thinking about him with faith. We then become his responsibility.

To me, Mohanji has been all these at different times based on my state each day. I recognise this through the various experiences I have had of his playful leelas and the tests he has put me through. These tests have been unbearable, painful but I have emerged strong, unshaken and stable. It has helped me shed all the leaves, and I stand bare and empty for fresh leaves to sprout as the Guru fills me up with what I need. A fresh lease of life bringing in the spring towards a purposeful, empowered life.

Mohanji reflects what you are within. He may appear as Shiva, Vishnu, the divine Mother, Jesus, friend, philosopher, etc. He has taken this incarnation only to guide us towards liberation!

In simple words, Mohana Krishna is the Supreme consciousness, the Para Brahma. He is in me, and I recognise that Krishna is me!

Happy Janmashtami! May Krishna be born in our hearts, and may we drop our identities and merge into this supreme consciousness as Mohanji says, “Krishna is you!”

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 9 – Divine umbrella of love and care

mohanji-on-spirituality

Divine umbrella of love and care

By Deepali Bais

Spirituality is a very interesting journey and for us, it has unfolded many tales which are embedded deep in our hearts. Since the time we have been associated with Mohanji i.e. since 2012, there have been innumerable experiences showing His loving presence in our lives. We always thought of cherishing it in our hearts, but of late the need for sharing has become important as our loving Mohanji never expects anything in return.

The experience I share here is special in many ways.

Life puts us through seemingly difficult phases to check our preparation for the next phase and to gauge our reaction through these testing times. A situation unfolded with us recently when our son came back from playing on the evening of 31st Jan 2019.

Generally, we don’t expect many visitors in the evening, hence when the doorbell rang in three quick successions, we were alarmed. Before my husband (Anurag) could reach the door, my son could not wait any longer and turned the latch and gave one big push to the door and it sprang open. During the next few seconds, I could hear a conversation between Anurag and my son. Anurag announced that we have to take him immediately to the hospital as it appeared to be a fracture in his arm. Then I noticed my son holding his left arm with his right hand and writhing in pain. He told that whilst taking a turn, he had slipped and fallen from his bicycle and one bhaiya (elder boy) dropped him home by carrying his bicycle. He was gasping for breath. Anurag washed his face and gave him a glass of water to drink while I got ready.

The moment I saw him crying with pain, tears rolled down my cheeks and I broke down. Without any reminder, I started chanting the mantra given to me by Mohanji in 2012. This mantra has become a part of my life since 2012 and for a long time. I have never felt the need to chant it consciously and loudly as it would repeat itself within me in auto mode effortlessly, very much similar to our breath.

I was continuously chanting the mantra and remembering our beloved Mohanji. We all know we need not tell Him or ask help from Him. He is protecting us 24×7, but the mother in me was worried about seeing my child in pain.

Various thoughts crossed my mind as we were getting ready to go to the hospital. Since his exams were near, our worries started compounding. Anurag put a cloth under my son’s arm and tied it up carefully around his neck to give him some comfort.

Mohanji I am

As Mohanji says,

I am always around you and you need to just “SWITCH ON”.

Within a span of 10 minutes during our drive to the hospital, I started feeling strong vibrations on my forehead along with a mild circular motion on the third eye. I am sure many can relate to this feeling/sensation. This is how I have felt Mohanji’s energy from the time we have been connected with Him. My eyes became really heavy. I felt strong vibrations and shivers in the whole body and I knew He was around, protecting us. During all this, I continued chanting.

The moment we reached the hospital, it was 20:00 and hence only the Duty Doctor was available. The doctor called the radiology department duty person and asked him to take an X-Ray. I was sitting in the waiting room chanting and my husband took my son for an X-ray.

The first X-Ray showed some signs of a fracture and when Anurag announced it to me, my heart sank. Somehow I felt that something was not convincing but looking at the X-Ray, I didn’t raise any queries. During all this, I continuously felt Mohanji’s presence around me and also the assurance that all is fine.

The doctor then sent the photo of the X-Ray to the Orthopedic specialist to seek his opinion. The specialist asked him to take an X-Ray of the right hand too along with the X-Ray of the left hand from other angles.

As we were waiting for the specialist’s opinion, we were mentally prepared for the cast being put on the left arm and the possible consequences in the near future due to final exams just around the corner. Anurag had also taken an appointment for renewal of passport for my son a day prior and had already paid the fee. He and my son were to appear at the Passport Office the next day i.e. on 01 Feb 2019. So he was thinking of cancelling the appointment and was mentally making plans for a future appointment which would be possible only after the exams. He was worried since taking an appointment is really difficult and to cancel the appointment, he has to go through all the procedures again.

As the photos of subsequent X-rays were also relayed to the specialist we waited for his opinion. Suddenly the news came that it was not a fracture, but only a tissue or muscle damage. A sense of relief and euphoria engulfed me although a requirement to put a cast was still there to allow the tissue some time to heal. It felt as though a heavy load was lifted from my head as soon as I got to hear this. Additionally, it was a slab for minor support to the hand and not a complete cast.

Mohanji

Within a span of 30 minutes, things changing from a fracture to tissue damage WAS SO MAGICAL. Though the healing and treatment took some time, the way Mohanji had reduced the impact is difficult to put in words. We have no words to explain the feeling. This is how masters operate and protect you in difficult times. We are indebted by the unconditional love showered by Mohanji.

After the cast was put, the doctor asked us to take an appointment with the specialist for the next day and then we left the hospital. Next day, Anurag took our son to the Orthopaedic specialist where he reiterated his stand that it was not a fracture and instructed us to continue with the cast for the next three weeks. Anurag mentioned to me later that when they left the hospital at around 10:30 hrs, he thought of giving a try at the passport office for his appointment as well. An appointment was scheduled at 11:15 hrs.

token
Token with the number 108

Though slightly late, they started at around 11:00 hrs and reached the venue at around 11:30 hrs. They both managed to enter the office. Then an interesting thing happened. As they were waiting to show the documents, a token had to be generated. This token is your identity as one goes through various phases of verification. Hence, after checking the documents at the first counter, the token was generated which showed in big bold letters “108” thus signifying Mohanji’s presence throughout the ordeal. All the necessary paperwork was completed and his application was accepted.

Anurag mentioned to me that since the morning, he was mentally remembering Mohanji, both at the hospital and also during the appointment at the passport office. The entire sequence of events is proof that Mohanji’s grace is always available waiting to be tapped. Life generally goes through various ups and downs in a cyclic manner with few spikes (signifying testing times). These spikes have an inherent tendency to test your mental toughness so that you witness your every move as you tide over the situation. This situation reminds me of the scene from the movie “Life of Pi” where the main character in the middle of a cyclone, pleads with God to test him more. During these testing times, one’s connection with Mohanji is the only real and unbreakable connection which helps one to sail through.

So when the number 108 appeared on the sheet of paper, it brought tears in Anurag’s eyes. He was spellbound. He stood motionless for a moment in that crowded room as if time had stopped. A gush of fresh air filled his lungs and assured him of Mohanji’s presence which ultimately led to the completion of this complicated paper action. Such is the grace of Mohanji that we cannot comprehend. I bow down to Mohanji and the universal energy which is manifesting through Him.

Words are less to encompass Mohanji’s grace and stature. We are blessed to have Him in our lives.

Pranaams at His lotus feet!

A blessing for Guru Purnima

By Sonia Gandhi, Australia

It was early morning, around 5:00 am, on the 1st of July 2019. I was transported in a dream state to a place with rural settings. It looked similar to the locations on the way to Mt. Kailash.

I was in a small shelter with many others. I saw Mohanji there and He was getting ready to leave. So, along with the others, I stood near the door to see Him off.

A few people were talking with Him, asking for some help, to which He lovingly said as always,

“It will be taken care of.”

He wore His shoes and was about to go; I was keen to touch His feet and get His blessings. As I bent down to touch His feet, He took His shoes off for me. My heart melted in His love and with trembling hands, I bowed down to touch His feet.

mohanji-in-the-alps

Then I heard my voice coming from the deepest core of my being. It was from the soul level and not from the mind, body, or intellect. It was one of the very few times when I knew it was my highest self talking. My voice said: “I deeply, completely, surrender at your lotus feet Mohanji, with utmost humility and gratitude, with everything I ever was and I ever will be.”

And behold! All of a sudden, His feet turned into light, a light that was brighter than the brightest light! I could not see my hands touching His feet anymore, although I felt completely drenched in that snowy, white light. Slowly with complete oneness, I saw Sai Baba emerging out of that light in the form of light itself, and I could see him. The form of Sai Baba then turned into the form of Shiva, absolutely stunning in white light and finally changed into Shree Anjaneya. All of them appeared to have emerged from the white light and merged back into it.

I woke up from this dream state with a heart full of love and my eyes full of tears. I felt this was Mohanji’s gift to me, at the start of this auspicious month of Guru Purnima. The day of the Guru Purnima has always been the most special day of my life for the past 12 years.

It is said that Masters are extremely active and very close to the earth, during the 15 days before and after Guru Purnima. It is a very special time to connect to the Source and with one’s higher self.

The bliss that this dream or astral vision has given me is not comparable. I can feel the heat of the energy expanding within me every day since then.

Is there an end to His love? No, there isn’t. My little mind is not capable of understanding what He is, but my heart just melts with His presence in my life. Gratitude and only gratitude.

Serving a Living Master

By Barbara Dizderavic, Serbia

After a recent conversation with a close Mohanji family member very near and dear to me, I felt it is important to share some important points which I have observed from living with Mohanji, which would be good to understand and would enable us to clarify to people further if required.

The Mohanji world consists of people from many different countries, cultures, religions. The teachings are universal, they are a lifestyle, and not mere concepts or religion.

The expressions of people from one culture may seem awkward to people from another culture.

For example, touching the feet of the Master. People touch the feet out of love, surrender, or maybe even misery because the feet of the Guru represents the Universe. This is very common for people in India, but outside India, it may seem unusual.

First point: Mohanji NEVER asks anybody to bow down at His feet. He has NO ego to be fed. He gets nothing from it. He will allow the expression of the person who wishes to bow down, just like He allows all expressions of people, He does not restrict anything.

He will also not tell anybody NOT to bow down if they wish to do so.

He teaches us to be 100% NATURAL, the most beautiful of teachings. BE YOU, be natural. And if He does tell us to do something, it is for OUR COMPLETION, not for His satisfaction. He provides the possibilities and platforms for OUR completion and OUR satisfaction.

He prefers to say He is a FRIEND to the world. He doesn’t present himself as different.

Everything else is the creation of people who put their experiences into words, write songs or aarti, or invite Him on stage and put flowers on the feet etc. If it was up to Him, He really wouldn’t care whether He is sitting in a golden chair or on the floor. In fact, if it was up to Him, He would be sitting in silence somewhere in the Himalayas.

Every night He withdraws into His room, He goes into His natural state which is SILENCE, not thinking about people, relationships, situations, sex, money.  Pure silence.

Second point: Sometimes people judge Mohanji based on the people connected to Him. Society expects people who have chosen the path of spirituality to be perfect. Until and unless these people have totally aligned their body, mind, ego, intellect and spirit, they are still individuals with a mind, character, temper, thoughts, ups and downs of emotions!

It would be delusional to judge or to draw conclusions about the path or about Mohanji based on the people around Him.

freedom.jpg

Last point: Mohanji gives us FULL FREEDOM to choose our path. He will never tell somebody they must be with Him. To those who choose a different path He says one thing – if you choose to leave or choose another path, BE LIGHT, go higher, SHINE BRIGHTER, don’t fall in frequency, and definitely don’t speak badly about Masters or people because that is negative. He is happy to see people shine!

If anybody feels they are doing Him a favour by being on this path, it’s best they clarify that point in their mind. He has given us a platform to serve, to clear our garbage, to develop what we need and drop off what we don’t, to grow. For that purpose, He will invite people to join the mission, but please understand it is for YOU (the person), not for HIM. He as a person needs nothing from you, or me, or anybody else.

He would also say to me “if this is difficult for you, feel free to go”.

I have absolute clarity why I’m here, so, despite the tough times, I remain here. This path may not be easy to understand, especially when tough situations happen. It is especially not easy to understand HIM because He is alive, sitting in front of us and talking. Do you think it was all nice and easy for the people living with Shirdi Sai Baba or Jesus? I doubt…

The escalation from Selfishness to selflessness

The above is the title I would give to what I wish to share based on a spontaneous conversation I had with Mohanji recently. This conversation perfectly describes what it means to be 100% selfless.

To start with, my question to Mohanji was – What does it take to have the ability to sleep less (about 2-3 hours a night), work more, and not feel tired?

My friend and I were pleasantly surprised to see that a spontaneous satsang was arising.

As Mohanji explained:

“Dream state comes from residual memory (like cache memory). We have a memory from this lifetime as well as previous ones. We store memories each day.

We cannot live through all the residual memories in the waking state, so some of them arise in the dream state. Every night when we go to sleep, we are removing things, but then we wake up and keep adding more garbage. This process is mechanical.

Figuratively, we are like a vessel filled with memories and habits. These memories are not essential, it’s only habitual. We live repetitive lives because we feel comfortable that way.

As long as this vessel is full, or even partially full, we are not aligned. Being aligned means the mind, ego, intellect and spirit are one unit (not scattered in the past, present, future).

Through meditation, various spiritual practices, kindness, love etc, we keep emptying the vessel.  But to completely reduce the size of this vessel, this is not sufficient.

There is only one remedy: SELFLESSNESS. Absolute selflessness. We should have only one thought: What ELSE can I do for the world?

When you keep giving, without expecting anything in return, your storage box is automatically reduced. As long as we are occupied with the ego, mind, analysis, judgements, prejudice, likes/dislikes, our vessel is not empty. So drop all that.

Practising selflessness consistently assists emptying the vessel.

Perfect selflessness means you do absolutely nothing for yourself. Zero selfishness.

Surrender to the path of selflessness, where you do what you have to do, not what you love to do.”

For this reason, Mohanji has provided numerous platforms for us to express our selflessness – Mohanji Foundation activities worldwide, ACT Foundation, Ammucare Charitable Trust, Youth Club, Global Vegan Club, and many more.

If we decide to express the limitations of these platforms by criticising or gossiping, instead of taking the effort to improve and nurture the platform, it will mean nothing to Mohanji. It just means we don’t know how to use the platform.

What we need to understand is: The opportunity has been given to us (for various reasons such as positive spiritual bank balance from previous lives, great support from our lineage). We must have been eligible to reach here. But if WE don’t use it, somebody else will.

I would like to quote Mohanji on a spontaneous but absolutely transformational expression, which can be repeated on a daily basis, as a reminder and self-inspiration:

“I am not the anger, hatred, jealousy.

I am not the mind, body, intellect, ego.

I am beyond all this.

I am here to do more for the world!”

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 9 – “Mohanji’s grace – A gift of new life”

Fire of awareness

Neelu Vepu (Mohana Bhaktipriya), accounts how Mohanji bestowed His grace upon her mother to tide over the unseen complications of the operation, which saved her life.  We are happy to share this third experience in the series – Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 9.

Read our other stories of Mohanji Satcharita.

Mohanji’s grace – A gift of new life!

By Neelu Vepu

To describe a Master’s grace upon us is a very difficult task, as we with our limited human faculties, cannot understand the extent to which a Master helps a devotee to cross the quagmire of Karma.

Here is one such humble attempt of mine of how he saved my mother from a painful health issue.

In the month of March 2019, my mother had developed some gynaecological problems, wherein she was advised hysterectomy, after the usual rounds of tests, including a biopsy. Thankfully the tests did not reveal anything to trigger panic, but the operation was mandatory to avoid any future problems that could occur considering her age.

Mohanji and Neelu's Mother
Mohanji and Neelu’s Mother

Prior to this, my mother never faced any serious health issues, and this would be the first time she would be admitted to a hospital. The thought of seeing her on a hospital bed was making me feel extremely depressed. But then, I had reassured myself that Mohanji was taking care of everything.

We planned to have her operation in May, as it would be summer vacation for my kids, and I could be around with my parents in Hyderabad, to help them through this period.

The morning of May 14th, while my mother was under the knife, I went on a chanting mode (Mohanji Gayatri Mantra) all through that duration. The operation was successful! However, the ordeal started the next day. She was coughing constantly and the X-Ray reports showed a severe lung infection, in spite of all the antibiotics that had been injected, as is always done after surgery. Her coughing continued for two days continuously.

mohanji-gayatri-mantra

She couldn’t take anything orally even after three days of operation. Her haemoglobin level had dropped considerably. She had become so weak that she was unable to speak even for a minute. Adding to her troubles, she developed dysentery. The oxygen levels in her blood went so low that, she even had to be put on an oxygen mask.

Unable to find the cause of the lung infection in this hospital, the doctors advised her to be shifted to another hospital, to get more tests done, to know the cause of the lung infection.

While my mother was going through all these, I messaged Mohanji to take care of her and relieve her from the suffering. He replied that he was taking care of her. He also said that one has to go through these things and changing their course would affect negatively.

He advised me to do a few things to reduce her karma, which I did immediately. I was very frightened, seeing her in this situation, but I had the faith that Mohanji was working on her.

On May 19th, she was shifted to yet another big hospital, and all the necessary tests and scans were done to know the cause of the lung infection. By His Grace, all the tests were normal, but she was still on oxygen.

She was also given a distance Mai-Tri Method. As a Mai-Tri practitioner, I also tried the Mai-Tri method on her. Interestingly, my mother would feel Mohanji’s hand on her head, even after I would remove mine. She could clearly feel his loving and gentle energy healing her. Slowly but gradually, her condition improved. She started taking solid food and all her complications gradually started decreasing. Mohanji’s grace was clearly visible.

The critical case, which was being referred to ICU (Intensive Care Unit), was so easily transformed into a positively responding case. Her dysentery stopped, the haemoglobin count became normal, lung infection reduced considerably, the persistent cough was gone, oxygen saturation levels were normal. In a couple of days, she was able to breathe normally without any external support. After a week’s stay in the new hospital, she was declared to be fit to be discharged on May 24th.

A normal post-surgery five-day stay in the hospital, got extended into a 12-day long stay!

All is well, that ends well! Now she is recovering very fast, which is Mohanji’s grace in full bloom.

Dear, if your faith in me is true, unshakeable and intense, your faith in me will never go wasted. I guarantee… – Mohanji

Mohanji, not only took care of my mother, he took care of me as well, in this tough time. I was with my mother, the whole time with almost no sleep and no rest in the hot summer for 12 days. I had to shuttle between our house and the hospital in the hot sun, to take care of my kids and to cook. I could feel his energy take over, whenever I felt exhausted. He always consoled me whenever I would cry at my mother’s painful condition. He gave me the mental and physical strength to go through all this. It was a real ordeal to see my mother lying so helplessly for days together and at the same time to put up a brave face in front of everyone and cheer my mother. He made me take care of my mother as a small baby. It was really MOHANJI everywhere. I always felt, only HE existed, I was nowhere present.

Any volume of words would fall short to express gratitude to the unconditional love and protection, Mohanji showers upon us.

Thank you My Gurudev for everything.
Love you forever.

Mohanji prayer

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 9 – ” The divine blessings of Kamadhenu”

divine beings

We bring to you our second story in the 9th Chapter of Mohanji Satcharita. Mahesh Bhalerao shares with us a beautiful experience that took pace in Datta Tapovan Ashram in Canada in the presence of our dear Mohanji!  Divinity can be seen, sensed or heard by most of us in this physical realm. Dive into this beautiful narration and enjoy the bliss that was evident in our Canada Ashram.

The divine blessings of Kamadhenu!

By Mahesh Bhalerao, Canada

Mohanji’s arrival in Datta Tapovan Ashram brought to us the awareness of Lord Dattatreya’s presence in all aspects, and at many levels.

Let me share an event that shows the presence of Datta swaroopa Mohanji (Mohanji as the true nature of Lord Datta) in our lives, every moment.

On the morning of Friday, June 14th, devotees in Canada ashram offered aarati to Shirdi Sai Baba inside the ashram and then to Lord Datta outside, in Mohanji’s presence. Mohanji lit a lamp in front of Lord Datta and bowed His head to take his blessings. This was a very sacred moment as the devotees present there felt that divine communion was taking place.

The blessed moment didn’t end there.

The next day, Saturday morning, while everyone was walking outside towards Lord Datta’s temple, all could feel the fragrance of cow dung. It was not a dirty smell, rather a very purifying celestial smell with a strong, distinct fragrance that none could mistake. The fragrance lingered for quite some time. This left the devotees present there, puzzled. How come there was this smell of cow dung? From where?

This reminded us of the previous Sunday, June 9th, when few of us met at the ashram to discuss some matter, we had smelt the same fragrance. We did think for a moment that may be a farmer was using cow dung as a fertiliser in a nearby field. Once again this Saturday, when we got whiffs of the same fragrance, we realised that even though the ashram is located in the countryside in Canada, none of the farmers here used cow dung directly as a fertiliser! So there was absolutely no physical source from where the fragrance was emanating.

Surely this wasn’t an ordinary thing. Everyone looked up to Mohanji with curiosity eagerly waiting for Him to reveal the truth behind this phenomenon.

Mohanji explained to all. After the lamp was lit the previous day, ‘ Kamadhenu’, the celestial cow, the “every wish fulfilling mother” in the form of a cow had graced this space with her presence. Not everyone could see her, however, her presence was certainly felt through the cow dung fragrance.

Mohanji with Kamadhenu

So what is the significance behind the presence of Kamdhenu?

Well, this is up to everyone’s individual understanding and appetite for spiritual awareness!  I personally feel that in the physical presence of Datta Swaroopa Mohanji amongst us, every desire ( Dharmic, Karmic or Spiritual) is going to be accomplished!

This also made me realise that last Sunday, before Mohanji’s arrival, when we had felt the fragrance, it was an indication of Mohanji’s presence with us, that He is with us every moment, He is listening to us every moment.

Getting the same fragrance in His presence was the confirmation of His omnipresence, his omniscience and it was also clearing away our doubt, our naivety about cow dung being used as a fertiliser!

This realisation filled my heart, choked my throat and my eyes welled up! Here is my Baba (Mohanji), showing me His presence in every moment, that He is with us, listening to us, holding us every single moment. Thank You, Baba (Mohanji), for showing us this truth, for showing Your love for us.

I must also mention that on the day of this incident, yet another special event was happening. Mohanji was giving initiation to Kriya Trainees! What better way for the Tradition to convey the connection to the sacred path and the truth of the incarnation that we easily underestimate!

Thank you Mohanji for blessing the ashram and the devotees with your presence bringing the awareness of the Datta Tradition and for reminding us of your continuous presence with us every moment.

Mohanji

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 8  brings to you another beautiful story about the Guru. Meeta Sahai recounts her experiences of meeting Mohanji and the experiences that led her to consider Him to be her Guru. She then realised that this connection was older and deeper than she could ever imagine!

A connection through time

By Meeta Sahai, India

I first got to know about Mohanji when I read one of His interviews in “The Speaking Tree”. I’m not sure why, but the interview stayed with me.

In 2016, I was going through a lot of turmoil in my life. That is when I decided to start meditating, to give me some peace of mind. I went online and I found the Power of Purity (PoP) meditation by Mohanji. I started doing PoP every day and read a lot of blogs by Mohanji. I also got in touch with one of Mohanji’s followers in my city and attended a few meditation sessions at her place.

It became that my day would begin and end thinking of Mohanji. I desperately wanted to meet Him. In 2017, Mohanji came to Mumbai in June, and I was invited for the retreat with Him. I met Him for the first time and He asked me to stay connected with His close followers in the city.

I attended another satsang with Mohanji in August 2017. In January 2018, I was initiated into Kriya, together with my husband. Each time I met Mohanji, I just felt happy and loved. The same year, encouraged by Preethi, my husband and I decided to visit Bosnia for the Kriya Intensive programme. At that time, it felt more of a holiday for us!

We first had a satsang in Zagreb, in Croatia before leaving for Bosnia. When Mohanji came to meet us after the satsang, everyone touched His feet but I could not bring myself to do the same. I loved and admired Mohanji but there was still a slight hesitation in my mind.

On the second day of our Bosnian pilgrimage, we climbed the Pyramid of Moon, where Mohanji and Deviji took us through certain breathing exercises and meditation. The Pyramid of Moon, I was told, was a female energy centre. While doing the meditation, I became aware of the form of Kali and Durga (manifestations of Shakti or the female energy) standing in front of me! I was completely overwhelmed and started to cry, something I rarely do. I felt a great burden being lifted from me, and I could clearly understand the greatness of Mohanji who appeared and behaved like an ordinary man in front of us.

When the meditation was over, I went looking around for Mohanji who was standing at a distance. I fell at His feet crying. All barriers were broken at that moment when I realized I have found my Guru. Mohanji picked me up lovingly and blessed me. From that moment on, I felt a deep connection with Him.

Back from Bosnia, I wondered how it was possible for me to have such a Master in my life! I got my answer when I met Devi Amma, who told me that I had a very long-standing connection with Mohanji. She told me that in one of my past lives, I had been one of those present when Agastya Rishi’s wife Lopamudra, had distributed prasad (sanctified devotional offering) to all those who were present! I believe that it is a result of that blessing and going through lots of pain in subsequent lives, that I have been able to meet my Guru in this Life!

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 8 – “Presence without Presence”

Mohanji giving Shaktipat

In this second story of Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 8, Pramod Nair shares with us how much he enjoyed the ‘Being in Mohanji’s consciousness’ programme conducted by one of the Mohanji Acharyas, and how he felt Mohanji’s presence not only at the programme but during his journey to the venue. His beautiful experience during Mohanji Energy Transfer shows us yet again, when one has faith and devotion, grace is ensured.

Gratitude. Grace. Growth. They are all related and interconnected. Gratitude ensures Grace. Grace ensures Growth. These three aspects deliver LOVE, LIFE, and GODLINESS in us” – Mohanji

Presence without Presence

By Pramod Nair, UK

The HSTY yoga, Power of Purity (POP) meditation and Conscious Dancing conducted with Mohanji’s grace, by Mohanji Acharya Subhasree, at the Methodist Church on the 30th of March 2019 was a wonderful experience for me and I wish to share it with others.

Divine grace in reaching my destination

I was working late at night on the 29th of March and was tired. I was not sure if I could travel and reach the venue before the programme started. Nevertheless, having decided to attend, I left this desire to participate at the lotus feet of the Guru. On the 30th, I managed to board the train to Bristol Parkway from Cardiff and then had to get a bus to reach the church where the event was being conducted. I was told by a friend of mine from Bristol to get bus number 73 which would drop me right at the door step of the church.

practice postivity

I had to wait for 40 minutes to get the bus and this meant I was going to be late. I got into another bus (No.75) and checked with the driver if he could guide me. He was a very friendly person. He said he used to live somewhere close to the church many years ago. Though this bus does not take that route, he said he could tell me where to get off and then I could use my Google map and walk towards the church. I boarded the bus and waited for the driver’s instructions. As the bus reached the bus stop, the driver told me to wait. He told me that he would drop me off at the traffic lights which would save me a further 10 minutes of walking. This gesture by the driver was a big surprise for me. The driver stopped the bus at the traffic lights and further guided me with directions to the church. Normally drivers only stop at the bus stops and this was unusual. He smiled and wished me a great day. I thanked the driver and followed his directions to reach the venue on time. In fact, I arrived earlier than the others.

Now I clearly knew that it was Mohanji who was working through the driver to ensure that I reached there on time.

 Mohanji’s presence during the event

During the whole event, I could feel the energy and presence of Mohanji. The interesting thing for me was that during the POP meditation and Mohanji Energy Transfer, I felt the finger of the person kept on my third eye area vibrating. I could feel the throbbing sensation between my eyebrows.

Mohanji Energy Transfer
Mohanji Energy Transfer during POP Meditation

After the Energy Transfer was done, I saw a flame of light appear for a few seconds and disappear. I then saw Mohanji appear in the third eye. This lasted for a minute or two I guess. I felt as if I was the flame of light. It was a beautiful experience. I could connect to my soul. I later checked with Shyama who did the Energy Transfer if she felt anything in particular. She told me about the vibration she felt in my third eye area while she was doing the process.

I sincerely thank Mohanji for this wonderful spiritual experience He gave me that day.

Joy of Conscious Dancing

I also thoroughly enjoyed the Conscious Dancing. I felt that it helps us forget about ourselves and connects us to the core. It was a wonderful experience to be in the energy field of Mohanji without His physical presence.

I should also thank everyone who was involved in organizing the event and also the other lovely participants for making it so lively. Also, the vegan food served was scrumptious.

We are all blessed indeed to be connected with Mohanji.

May many more souls be blessed to receive the connection with the Master and be liberated.

Mohanji
