Lessons Living with Mohanji – Days 31 & 32

by Christopher Greenwood

Day 31 Lesson – More than the eyes can see

Good morning, everybody! I hope you’re doing very well.

Yesterday, I shared a lesson from the badminton court, along with a couple of photographs, and I hope you enjoyed those. I was thinking how much fun it’s been to play against Mohanji. At first, it was fairly intimidating. But now, we’ve got a good doubles rhythm when we play, and it’s good exercise. It breaks the day, and it’s also really fun.

As I recalled those times, it brought back a memory, which was another reminder that there’s more to Mohanji than we can physically see. I’ve spoken about this before, that He’s active in many more ways than we can perceive. Personally, being here spending a lot of time is an incredibly good reminder because otherwise, the situation can become familiar. I wouldn’t want to say that I take anything for granted, definitely not. But day in, day out, when I’m seeing Mohanji, there can definitely be the lack of alertness that was there when I first arrived as everything was new. Because now there’s work to do; there’s a routine; there’s a pattern; there’s a method, and so some habits and patterns have developed.

It reminded me of the badminton game because there was a similar situation to the one that I’d shared before in one of my previous recordings. This was where I spoke about the situation where I was speaking with Mohanji; we were having a conversation in the morning, and he suddenly stopped mid-conversation. We’ve been speaking about plans for the early version of Invest in Awareness corporate program. And he stopped; he stood up, walked a few paces, and knelt. Then He took several press-ups, then again stood, and went back to his chair and calmly sat back down. When I asked him what happened, he said that he was responding to somebody’s call for help. He was bringing someone back to life. At the time, I was very confused, but I thought, okay, sometimes these things I can’t understand. But later that day, the event was actually confirmed when somebody called to say that their father had survived in hospital.

Once on the badminton court, there was another situation while we were playing badminton. It was a typical game; Rajesh and I were trying our hardest to win the game. Mohanji had his position on the court; his technique of smashing was doing really well, and Ananth was playing well too. It was an intense game backwards and forwards; everybody played with full commitment and played many games. But during one of the games, I think it must have been the last one; Mohanji just casually said that somebody’s mother is leaving between one of the rallies. As simple as that, “someone’s mother is leaving.” He said that someone’s mother was leaving their body that she was dying. It was very matter of fact, and he just went back to playing; we continued to play for the remainder of the game.

Afterwards, I had to ask what he meant because I don’t even think he meant to say it out loud but he said that he was communicating with her. That amazed me; we were playing our hardest to gain points and win the game, and I thought I was putting in some great effort while at the same time Mohanji was playing, but he was also elsewhere.

When we got back to the house a few hours later, the message came that someone’s mother had passed away. So for me, it’s still somewhat a mystery that what Mohanji is handling beyond is what I can see. There’s more beyond the usual events, but I enjoy and appreciate that there’s almost a completion to it because it comes with a confirmation. For me personally, I can have and witness that full experience. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, there’s always a confirmation that clarifies that I don’t have to blindly believe this because there’s something there that confirms what I see in front of my eyes.

Thank you for listening today. And I hope you have a great day ahead.

Day 32 Lesson – Mohanji’s activities tangibly express his teachings

Good morning, everybody! I hope you’re doing really well!

Since spending time with Mohanji, I have witnessed that Mohanji does not just talk about his teachings. He lives them. Tangibly!! It’s only through my extra time working closely across each platform, namely – Mohanji Foundation, Ammcuare, Early Birds Club or the Mohanji Home for Seniors, and through conversations, I can see more clearly, that everything he has delivered is a message to the world of what he stands for.

This morning, I was speaking to Mohanji, and he elaborated on some of the ideas and vision for the Centers of Benevolence. When I speak with Mohanji in the morning, I usually have a list of the items I’d like to discuss with him about what’s pending. But depending on the day or the need of the time, Mohanji will often speak spontaneously as thoughts come to him. He said to me earlier that he just flows, so as per the need, what is important, he’ll speak.

So if I’m sitting in front of him, I should make sure then that it reaches the right person. We were talking about the various locations across the world for the Centers of Benevolence and the vision that they should reach every continent; every country; every city, so that there’s a space; our own space. These would be living signatures for the Teachings of the Tradition, welcoming all people; everybody is welcome. Ensuring everyone who comes is fed well with vegan food and the fact that it’s purely vegan will be the message of non-violence and that all life has the right to live.

When there’s outdoor space, all animals will coexist in the ground, and they’ll roam free. Then all the five elements are captured in the space too. They’ll have the fire with the Homas, also the water bodies – the rivers and lakes, and earth space. All the practices will be there: the meditations and the teachings of the path of liberation – all will be available. It will be a message to the world portraying what we stand for and how we can use our capacities or intellect abilities as humans for selfless work and for attaining the highest.

The more time that I’ve spent with Mohanji, I realize that what he speaks, what he shares, and his teachings, he’s practically and tangibly putting these into place through all the platforms. All of them speak a message to the world.

I was thinking about this and all the initiatives that have been founded when the Mohanji Home for Seniors came to my mind – which has been set up to feed, give medical attention and help the elderly. This came to my mind because when I sent out the feedback form to everybody for these talks, someone replied by asking the question, “Why are parents so important in our life?”

I feel that that’s a great example, the Home for Seniors because it’s Mohanji practically tangibly representing why it’s important to look after the elderly, look after our parents. The story of how this came about was when Mohanji visited Tiruvannamalai with a group of people for conducting a Retreat and Satsang. It’s a famous place of pilgrimage, because of the Arunachala Mountain, and many people go there.

I’ve heard that people go there along with the elderly parents, and they simply leave them, which is quite sad.

Some of the abandoned ones have poor health conditions, problems and are lonely, confused, and even wait for their children to come back. They think they’ll come back for them, but the children don’t.

There’s a Home that is looking after the abandoned parents, and Mohanji with the group visited the Home to serve them food. Last year, the local municipality gave the people living in the Home (building) eviction notice, rendering them homeless. That was the seed. I think one person, in particular, wanted to start something; Mohanji supported it, and now we have the Mohanji Home for Seniors. Thus the land was bought, and construction is now on the way.

Mohanji has spoken before that we have a dharmic duty to our parents because it’s they who brought us into this world. He said that when we first take birth, before a soul comes into the body, there’s prana which represents our lineage or lineage karma. He explained that when we have a body, actually, the body is a property of the lineage. Our parents are a living representation of our lineage. Our parents represent that, so we have a duty towards them. Especially, a mother who carried us through nine months of pregnancy knows us longer than anybody else. Thus I learnt from Mohanji that this is another reason why we must respect and look after our parents. There’s a Dharmic duty behind it. And this is exactly what he does as well. He’s brought his parents closer to him now in their age so that they have this space; they are given respect. Everything that can be done is done to make them comfortable.

In modern times, some people treat parents as an inconvenience, quick to discard them or put them into a home. Hence, I am reiterating what I’ve learned from Mohanji that there’s a duty there actually about what we need to do. The Mohanji Home for Seniors is a standing example of this filial duty – by looking after them, respecting, caring, and giving them the dignity that they deserve.

I’ve also heard people ask, “What can I do?” Now I know that I have a dynamic duty, “What can I do if I don’t get on with my parents; if we fight or we argue?” For this, Mohanji said, “You can do what you can. The first is discussion, to see if anything can be resolved. Maybe that’s not possible; maybe you don’t have to live together; maybe it’s possible that you can support them if they’re in a different home. You can find a way to give them assistance with the chores. If the relationship is completely gone, and it’s not possible to get on with them, you can fulfill that duty by serving people of a similar demographic in society. You serve the elderly; the abandoned, participate in charity activities, events; donate to causes that support them. This way, we still do our duty.”

So this is one example of the many tangible activities Mohanji is doing in the world expressing his message and his teachings.

I hope you enjoyed it and we will speak very soon.

An Eye Opening Mai-Tri Session

By Preeti Duggal

The world is reeling under the COVID pandemic. Millions are affected and many are dying. There is a huge scarcity of medicines, hospital beds, oxygen, and so on. There is chaos everywhere. The second wave has been like an explosion in India. 3 hundred thousand people are getting infected daily. The Maitri practitioners are also inundated with healing requests. Yesterday, I received a healing from a person from Delhi. A very well known figure in his profession who also works for our foundation. He had tested COVID positive and was worried about his wife and three children. He requested healing for his family. I immediately agreed.

To understand the degree of infection, we usually scan the aura of the person during the mai-tri session and look for patches that penetrate it. But what unfolded was truly an eye opener and amazing. In this session, I could see a white layer like a protection shield around the family that was saving them from the COVID effects. It looked strange because I had never seen it before. I prayed to Mohanji for clarity. I saw various animals (cows, dogs, cats, pigs, goats, and so on, encircling them and and giving them protection. These animals were absorbing all the effects of covid virus to keep the family safe. On further enquiry, it was disclosed that this family has an animal shelter on the outskirts of Delhi where they take care of abandoned, old and sick animals as their own family. Some are rescued from butchers. Some are disabled and diseased. All are well taken care of as family members. In fact, the wife knows each of them by name and the animals respond in kind to her loving attention.

It was revealed that these innocent and beautiful beings came forward to protect the family in return to what the family had done for them. This was overwhelming and I had tears rolling down my eyes. It was an eye opener. The infection level for this gentleman was very high but he has no symptoms except for low grade fever for thirty minutes three days ago. None of the other family members had any symptoms. Someone may ask why would they get infected in the first place if they were protected? Mohanji showed me that this person had fear of the pandemic which weakened his protection shield allowing the virus to enter the body easily. Now I realise why Mohanji stresses on connection to Mother Earth and its beings, and doing annadaan (food donation) for the hungry and needy.

Our misplaced ego of superiority has completely detached us from Mother Nature and our fellow beings. We torture and butcher animals for the paltry pleasure of a few mins. These innocent ones cannot even complain about the heinous torture that they have been suffering at the hands of humans for years. Animals, forests, oceans, mountains – none have been spared by humans. It’s time to wake up and look into the mirror. Nature has turned the tables on us. The fear and pain we gave and still continue to give, to the beings is coming back to us as COVID. The isolation, pain, suffering felt by these he[pless beings for years is now being felt by us for the first time. We are forcibly confined to our homes just as we confined poor helpless beings in zoos for our entertainment. The virus is almost like nature’s vengeance that has shaken the entire human world. Have you wondered why none of the other beings are affected?

Mohanji has said that we have to start walking backwards. Connect with nature and start to respect other fellow beings. Think of becoming vegan or at least vegetarian so that we eat with awareness and ensure that our food is not the cause for another being’s pain or suffering. Imagine babies being snatched away from their mothers and kept hungry so we can consume that milk and milk products. I feel that if we lose this chance, we will be left with nothing for ourselves and the coming generations.

I thank Mohanji from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful experience.

On this apt occasion of Earth day. let’s pledge to do at least one good thing for Mother Nature and its beings everyday.

Miracle at Kumbh Mela 2021

By Soma Seal, Ammucare President, India

Annadaan – feeding hungry stomachs is beyond any boundaries of species, caste and creed. When one feeds hungry beings, purification happens. This is why Annadaan is considered as Mahadaan – a donation of the highest stature. Especially when done on certain auspicious occasions, Annadaan brings immense fulfilment.

In my role as President of Ammucare, I have been fortunate to be in the middle of continuous Annadaan for a long time. Especially since the onset of the Covid pandemic, I have witnessed and observed several miracles. I would like to share one such amazing incident that happened yesterday (19/4/2021) in Haridwar, the venue for this year’s Kumbh Mela festival.

With Mohanji’s guidance, Ammucare has organised daily feeding for the Sadhus (wandering saints) at the Kumbh Mela as this is a divine opportunity to serve. Especially with the challenges due to the Covid situation, doing this seva consistently has been a challenge; several hurdles have come up. However, our determination to continue this seva (service) has been strong since Mohanji explained the purpose of this seva in clear terms. The Kumbh Mela is a special occasion when several elevated saints, otherwise deep in their sadhana in the Himalayas and elsewhere, come down to mingle with the common folk and shower their blessings.

Mohanji also guided us on the right attitude to conduct this seva – “Serve everyone like you are serving a Royal or God. The food should be of the highest quality. The attitude should be of complete reverence and respect. You never know who could be receiving your food – it could be Sai Baba, Mahavatar Babaji or any other deity. Don’t be deceived by outward appearances. Thank everyone you are serving from the bottom of your heart.”

Thanks to the dedication of our local volunteers and our generous donors, we have been serving food to people for almost ten days now. I must especially call out the contributions of Savitri Chitrapu, our Ammucare coordinator, and Mr Vasudev Sharma (Sharmaji), the Ammucare coordinator on the ground in Haridwar, in enabling this noble seva. Whenever we have not been able to serve, we have arranged for food packets to be made and distributed to people at various locations in Haridwar. Within a week, our team had managed to serve over 1000 meals.

Once we started our Annadaan at Kumbh, Mohanji advised us to serve the Sadhus at Har Ki Pauri, the most auspicious bathing Ghat in Haridwar. He guided us that saints of the highest stature would tend to congregate there, and we should not miss the opportunity to serve them. However, as we started working on this, the government imposed a weekend lockdown, and our activities were delayed.

Yesterday (on 19th April 2021), it became possible for us to arrange for this Annadaan at Har Ki Pauri. Sharmaji and a few other volunteers prepared around 100 food packets and took an auto-rickshaw (three-wheeler) to deliver this to the Sadhus at Har Ki Pauri. Sharmaji narrates his experience below.

“It was about 6 pm and getting dark. Shortly before we were about to reach the Ghat, on a quiet and dark road, we spotted a Naga Sadhu by the roadside, next to a forest area; he was calling out to us ‘Hey, where are you taking the food; bring it to us. This food is for us.’ Not taking him seriously, we turned a deaf ear and continued on our journey. However, a few moments later, our auto-rickshaw stopped, and even when we tried to push it, it would not start again. We noticed that the Naga Sadhu had come close to our auto-rickshaw and was repeating what he said earlier, “Your auto will not move forward. Food which has been sent for us cannot go to Har Ki Pauri!”

By now, we realised that this call was not to be ignored. There was something electrifying about that person. So we parked the auto-rickshaw by the side of the road, took the food packets out and followed the Naga Sadhu into the forest. As we walked deeper into the jungle, it became darker, and suddenly, the few street lights went off too. Soon we saw a group of 11 Naga Sadhus gathered there! They were waiting for the feast! They were chanting and singing songs on Lord Shiva and Lord Dattatreya

We were totally mesmerised to witness this divine atmosphere. After offering prayers, we quickly served the food packets to all the Naga Sadhus there. We took care to offer the food with respect, and the sadhus blessed us as they accepted the food. Some of them even had second servings! While serving the food, I just mentioned to them that this Annadaan was happening with the guidance and advice of Guru Mohanji.

One of the Sadhus said, “He is an Avadhoota. You will never understand him. He is beyond your comprehension and understanding. You do not know his grandeur. We know your Guru is far away, but wherever you look, you will see him. He is everywhere. Yes, he will come to Haridwar next year. Good that the food has reached us.”

I had goosebumps after I heard the Sadhus speak such high praise about Mohanji! The Sadhu then asked, ‘Where is the dakshina?’ We immediately offered dakshina (respectful offering of money) to all the Sadhus. Then one of the Sadhus said, “Child, you give us dakshina today but remember it would reach someone by tomorrow. Hmm, the food was meant for us.”

After feeding the Sadhus, we walked back to our auto-rickshaw on the road. It was very dark by now, but we were in a different world altogether, still trying to assimilate this miraculous and divine experience. The experience was not yet over, though! As soon as we started the auto-rickshaw, it started immediately, without any further push or effort. The same auto had refused to move sometime back when we were in a hurry to reach Har ki Pauri! Just as it had stopped automatically, it started automatically too!

With absolute awe and contentment, we returned home safely with just one expression – Thank you, Mohanji, for giving us this opportunity.”

When Sharmaji narrated this incident to Savitri and me, I had goosebumps too. This place is not unknown to Sharmaji or the others, but no one had spotted these Naga Sadhus there before! In fact, Sharmaji and the team went to the same location today (20/4/21) to serve the Naga Sadhus again, but there was no trace of anyone there, just a few dogs in the vicinity.

I could only then think back to several other occasions where grace has made the toughest of sevas possible – be it Annadaan or disaster relief or clothing drives or so many other activities of Ammucare. It also served to remind me of a couple of important lessons:

  1. Like many others, I may not recognise or fathom Mohanji’s stature. However, statements about his stature and grandeur from a Naga Sadhu are a timely reminder that there is much that my eyes can’t see or my mind can’t process. After all, this saint has never met us before, and neither are we likely to see him again. He is a renunciate with no interest in the material world. So what motive could he have in describing Mohanji? Perhaps it was just to open our eyes to higher dimensions and piece together facets of Mohanji’s grand plan to raise the entire Earth’s vibrations.
  2. It gave me greater clarity as to why Mohanji gives certain directions. Time and again, I have seen that his directives often seem extremely challenging at the outset. But when we take the right steps with full faith, doors open, and the road ahead becomes clearer. After all, if I had not persevered with the effort to serve at Har Ki Pauri, this entire experience might have been lost to us. This additional clarity not only helps us serve better but, more importantly, helps us receive much more grace and blessings. Before I conclude, I would like to pose a few questions for your contemplation:
  • Why was the Naga sadhu waiting by the road, just when our vehicle was to pass by?
  • Why did he stop just our vehicle? How did he know us?
  • How did the Sadhu know that food was being taken in the auto (when it was not visible from outside, and certainly not from a distance)?
  • How did he say, “This food is not meant to go to Har Ki Pauri”, when we had not told him our plans
  • Why did the auto not move at that moment but moved easily later in the evening from that same spot?
  • How did the Sadhus recognise Mohanji? Or that he is far away? (Our coordinators had not told them that Mohanji was currently in Europe)
  • What made them describe Mohanji as an Avadhoota? Was it sheer chance that they were singing songs on Lord Dattatreya, the Tradition that Mohanji represents?
  • What did he mean by saying the dakshina would reach someone by tomorrow?
  • Who were these Masters? Where did they come from?
  • Why was nobody there today? Did they go somewhere else? Or did they vanish?

I have been thinking about this since yesterday. I came to the conclusion that these Sadhus were divine for sure, however unbelievable it might seem to my thinking mind. We have heard and seen that all the great Masters come for Kumbh ever since it began. I have experienced this in earlier Kumbh Melas (Nashik in 2015 and Prayagraj in 2019), and this experience was another confirmation of that experience. It was also a reminder that Mohanji is at the Kumbh Mela through us, and he is doing his work.

Do contemplate a little, and you will understand what we witnessed, and you will experience it too.

My deepest gratitude to Mohanji, for giving us this eye-opening experience.

Transformations through selfless service

transformations

The Testimonials Team is happy to publish a series of beautiful experiences by our volunteers. Selfless service brought forth wonderful experiences that helped them recognise and accept the various transformations happening within them. We share here two profound experiences by Sankaranarayanan Meetna and Chitra Aylam.

Transformations after meeting Mohanji

by Sankaranarayanan Meetna

Like any other ordinary man and totally new to the spiritual world, when I met Mohanji, my overwhelming feelings were mostly in the form of anxiety and doubts. I often asked myself about my preparedness and my eligibility for any possible entry to this new wonderful world. But very interestingly, each time a new question or doubt awakened within me, I happened to get an answer either through a speech or a blog/FB post of Mohanji

Sometimes I felt that through these valuable hints, Mohanji was directly addressing my doubts and questions!!

It has been six years since my first meeting with Mohanji. I don’t know about the spiritual part, but yes, there is an emotional transformation within me. Earlier I was very serious about all happenings in my life, like thoughts, patterns, persons, acquired properties etc. Quite often, I used to fall prey to my anger and cry for self and others’ perfection. Honestly, I can say that after I started learning through Mohanji’s teachings – blogs, speeches and satsang etc., slowly but steadily, he made me understand the need and importance of ‘Self Awareness’ in all walks of life.

Mai-Tri Method

Among the numerous things I received from Mohanji, an important technique was the Mai-Tri method. I had been suffering from a headache for quite a long time. One day the problem got very acute, and I decided to get a Mai-Tri done. With Mohanji’s grace and the effect of Mai-Tri, I got complete relief from my headache.

On another occasion, I had participated in the online Group Mai-Tri Method session conducted by Preeti Duggalji during the peak days of the Covid 19 pandemic in July 2020. During that session, I experienced a bright light energy fly away from my Swadhishtana Chakra level. Though I was not sure about the effects of this, overall, I felt so pleasant after that. I hope a sort of inner cleansing must have taken place because of this Mai-Tri. I express my gratitude to Mohanji and Preetiji for this beautiful experience.

Participation in Seva Activities

With Mohanji’s blessings, I could participate in a few seva activities also. The first seva activity I participated in was at Kurnool during the Ugadi Seva in 2017 – an annual offering of seva activity for the Shiva bhaktas going to visit Sri Sailam Shiva Temple. It was an eight-day-night service camp, including oil massaging of Shiva bhaktas’ feet, serving food/drinking water, medical treatment, resting place for the bhaktas etc. Masters – Nadananda Guruji and Mohanji were enormously pouring their blessings on the Shiva bhaktas and gave the energy to the seva volunteers who were involved in seva activities throughout day and night. The vibrations from Shiva Mantra chanting by both, Shiva bhaktas and the seva volunteers bound them together as one entity, as both surrendered fully at the feet of Lord Shiva. Thus the seva would become above all doership and ownership barriers. It transforms from mere performing karma to a divine state of oneness. Everything felt fully dissolved in Shiva Tattwa.

With Mohanji’s blessings in 2019, I could participate in the ‘Sabarimala Ayyappa bhakta pada seva camp also. This service was specially meant for those Ayyappa bhaktas going to the Sabarimala pilgrimage by walking more than 60 km through dense forest. Here our seva activity was oil massage of Ayyappa bhakta’s feet.

Conscious Walking and Consciousness Kriya

Before applying for Consciousness Kriya training, I used to practise Conscious Walking alone. I would start the walk around our apartment premises early at 5.30 am. The walking path was almost three fourth of a kilometre around the apartment block. I used to walk about eight rounds, enjoying the nature and strengthening my connection within.

And after a wait of almost six years, I was blessed to enrol into the Consciousness Kriya practice. I had applied online for the CK training programme. On 12th December 2020, I underwent the CK training programme online and have been practicing consistently since then.

To conclude, all these techniques and practices helped me immensely. Slowly this ‘self-awareness’ started to give different colours to my habits and my overall outlook towards the world. I am so impressed with Mohanji’s teachings of “how to get relief from anger and disappointment”. He explains that we need to accept everything and everybody the way they are, not change them according to our requirements. This also enabled me to get rid of my unnecessary worries and fears!

I am unable to claim any specific spiritual transformation within me during this period. However, I am sure of one fact without a doubt that I am a bundle of so many karmic residues which are difficult to break or dissolve. I do not have any detail of the same. Only one thing I know is I badly need the help of the Master. Since the Master can understand everything within in no time, only the Master can help me out in this matter. I hope he has already started some work on me by hammering, hitting, pulling and pushing over and over again, as the rigidity is so strong in order to mould me to a different shape.

I hope many more experiments and testing periods are on the way.

Without wasting any more time or doubting his power and disrespecting the Grace of the Master, I humbly surrender fully at the feet of my Master Mohanji.

I’m truly blessed for having so many experiences during my journey as a seeker. My humble and ultimate prayer to Mohanji is to guide me towards the path of Eternal Liberation kindly. I express my humble gratitude and pranaam to Mohanji and prostrating at his feet.

Awareness through Service

by Chitra Aylam

Kerala was hit by floods in 2018, six months after I first met Mohanji. I had known only very few followers of Mohanji by then. When I saw people in panic, I quickly called my immediate family members and discussed what to do on our part. Seeing my fellow beings in such a plight and keeping quiet was not possible for me. At the same time, I sent an email to the volunteer team by searching on the website for activities initiated to assist the people in Kerala but didn’t get any reply. So, after two days, I messaged Sri Devadas, who promised to let me know. Within one or two weeks, I started buying, sorting, packing, distributing, attending to many calls through WhatsApp, messenger etc., which was almost a 20-hour work.

But, when I saw people didn’t even have enough clothing and were waiting for some organizations to bring them food and water, I understood that Mohanji initiated every work I was doing for a good purpose. Each time I stepped out of the house to buy for the service, I would find many others offering the same stuff without being asked, guided by the Masters to reach out to the right persons. I understood that in the absence of ego, the Guru works through us; the only thing that matters is faith in the Master.

Now, during this pandemic, Kerala is more strict compared to other states, and it is difficult to hand over stuff to patients, inmates of any orphanages or the deprived directly. But, recently, when I went to the palliative care (hospice), two hours away from my house, I found that someone whom I have not met yet but connected with the hospice (where so many inmates are waiting for their last call) had arranged with the Director for my visit to those patients. I could see the leela of Mohanji here too. Significant learning is – Mohanji does all the work, and I am just an instrument for him to work through.

Daily at home, birds come for food and water because all the hotels nearby are closed during this period. For me, every sharing gave me an insight into where I stand now and allows me to be grateful for whatever I have with me. Sharing is caring. When I see the beautiful smile on the receiver’s face, a pleasant feeling of contentment fills my heart. I get benefitted when I feed my fellow beings, whether human, animals, plants, birds or fishes. So many people have lost their jobs or salary has been cut. So, only through kind words we can change the depressed states of many.

I bow down in gratitude to dear Mohanji and Ammucare Charitable Trust for raising my awareness level regarding ‘Daan’ (giving).

Lessons living with Mohanji – Day 8

Day 8 Lesson: Service brings purification

By Christopher Greenwood

I have always wanted to use my talents and skills for a positive impact in the world, and I’m happy to be able to do that with the Mohanji Platforms. I’ve been able to meet beautiful people and full hearts from all over the world and contribute something positive to the world.

Besides the outward results, I’ve learned that this work brings deep purification for our karma, including our lineage karma, i.e., our ancestors, our children and our children’s children.

We inherit the merits and demerits of our family lineages. If our ancestors did good things during their lives, we receive this, and if they have done badly, we also take the share of that burden. We essentially inherit more than we know.

Sometimes it is the lineage that can hold us back in life. Selfless service or Karma Yoga brings strong purification, and Mohanji has founded various platforms for the world where it is possible for everyone to serve in their individual capacity. When we are serving in any of the platforms, we are both serving the world and ourselves.

It’s good to remind ourselves that Mohanji does not need any of it. It is not for him. It is for us, our lineages, our purification, our liberation, and for the benefit of the world.

Good morning everybody. Today, I wanted to talk more about Mohanji platforms and Karma Yoga because Mohanji said that one of his greatest achievements would be the Mohanji platforms. This isn’t because he wants any recognition or praise. It’s because of the benefits the platforms bring to the world and the people working selflessly across these platforms. If I put the ideas and thoughts about Mohanji being a spiritual Master, it’s really his work, and the platforms are something I connect to. It’s what he talks much about because he’s actually putting into practice what he speaks and giving back to the world, adding value every day.

I’ll just quickly run through these platforms one by one because maybe there are some people who don’t know the extent of them; we have the Mohanji Foundation itself, which is focused on the programs, the teachings, the practices and methods that Mohanji has provided. There is Ammucare and ACT Foundation which have been established since 2003. They provide education, hunger relief, health, disaster relief, serving the helpless, giving dignity to the poor and much more.

Side by side, we now have Act4Hunger, which is purely a food distribution platform. We also have the disaster management platform, which has been set up mainly in the Delhi region, in preparation for any major natural disasters, such as earthquakes or even man-made calamities such as riots. They’ve got a response team and a training program to support that.

We also have the World Consciousness Alliance. This platform is raising awareness about human consciousness through the performing arts, entertainment, and interviews with notable speakers. The Early Birds Club cultivates strong, stable people through a powerful morning routine of waking up early and doing positive affirmations. It is subdivided into Early Birds Clubs for adults, teens and kids. There is also the Mohanji Youth Club, the Himalayan School of Traditional Yoga, Language, Dance, and Martial arts, which are teaching these modalities (yoga, language, dance and martial arts) based on the original authentic teachings.

And then we have other platforms, too, such as the Altruistic Association of India, focusing on performing altruistic activities. There’s Invest In Awareness, the corporate program bringing the teachings to the business world and creating ethical businesses. We have media outlets, such as Guru Light for pilgrimages and book publications, the Awakening Times, an online magazine, and finally, M House Media.

When you see the range of platforms, it’s really extensive. I think anyone working for these platforms can tell you that it brings a real sense of self-esteem because we’re working for a much higher cause. Actually, something I didn’t really know until living with Mohanji is that there are many subtle benefits of being a part of these platforms, benefits which are not so obvious to us with the eyes. This is especially important when you consider karma yoga, the act of serving selflessly.

I definitely won’t be able to tell you the finer details of karma. But let me attempt, please, to share some basics, which I’ve picked up from Mohanji. When I say I’ve learned or I’ve picked up, I’m essentially repeating my understanding of what he has told me. He said that broadly speaking, as human beings, we have three main strands of karma that make up our body. I wouldn’t say our body, but our being. There’s the society karma – the karma of the society in which we’re born into. And then we have our own individual karma, what we’ve brought from previous lives, what we’ve earned, our merits and demerits. And then we have our lineage karma, which is based on our family, i.e. the lineage of the family we were born into.

Mohanji said that when we have large karmic baggage, it’s normally associated with our lineage. It feels like we can put in lots and lots and lots of individual effort, but sometimes just the weight of that burden can pull us back. He described it as us having a body that is essentially a rented house. We’re born from our mother. We’re born from our father. And as the individual soul enters, it has mixed, like milk and water, all three aspects of karma. So you’re never really sure what’s yours individually and what’s your lineages’. And if within the family, even generations and generations back, there’ve been some very dark people, heavy people, for example, torturers, that stays with the lineage. And so we share that burden.

Thus, we’re all connected to our lineage, but it’s not visible. However, when we do good work, good things, it serves and benefits us, our future life and future generations, and the previous generations. I myself can’t prove that to someone, and I won’t even try because personally, this is where faith comes in, in my opinion. I trust the people who practice Mai-Tri and Mohanji Transformation Method, and I trust Mohanji himself as well. After living with him for eight months and having been connected to him for even longer, I can see that all these activities are completely for the benefit of the world. There’s nothing for himself. It’s just giving. When you realise what they see, they can actually see a person’s karmic implications through Mai-Tri and Mohanji Transformation Method.

Let’s say, for argument’s sake, if it’s not something that you generally believe, that we do have karma, and that we have lineage karma, what’s the best way to reduce it? The answer is through service, through Karma Yoga. The advantage of service is that it heavily purifies. It’s complete purification. Mohanji told me, imagine if there were some feudal lords in your family, and maybe they snatched money from poor people, they made people suffer, they were greedy, or nasty. When we start serving selflessly, we’re sharing and giving. Doing the opposite of what was done before reduces the burden of what other people have collected within our lineage. Thus, serving someone, as simple as feeding a bird that feeds its children, you’re then feeding the bird and the children as well. This is how activities of a positive nature can help. Now that I’ve shared this, I’m really asking the question, and I think it’s a good question: Who are all these platforms I mentioned before for? And why do they exist?

Well, it’s definitely not for Mohanji himself because he doesn’t need anything. They exist for us. They exist as opportunities and places where we can come with our gifts, we can come with our skills, and we can serve the world selflessly. In that bargain, we begin to purify ourselves and our lineages, all those people that existed in the past and all those people that are to come. Mohanji also said that if you’re doing great work in this life, those people who could be born now from that lineage will also benefit. So I think when you look at that, the Mohanji platforms are like a big purification machine.

For me, when I see it that way, it’s a whole other dimension of how this can really help people’s lives. I hope I’ve explained that well because it’s a topic that I’m repeating from my understanding, as best as I can, because I can’t actually see karma. But I feel that through my efforts, working with the Foundation and Mohanji, there’s much more lightness to life. I’m personally experiencing a benefit, and I’m sure many other people within the platform also feel that.

I hope you enjoyed this lesson today, or this insight about the real purpose of Mohanji Platforms is – they are a place of service, and of purification for the people working through them, and the benefit of the society.

Grace in selfless service

By Sunita Madan, India

He’s got the whole world in his hands.

He’s got the whole world in hands.

He’s got you and me brother in his hands.

He’s got you and me sister in his hands.

He’s got the little baby toddler in his hands.

He’s got the whole world in his hands.

(Song by Laurie London)

As human beings, our nature is love. Our role as individuals and collectively as human beings is to be compassionate, tolerant, peaceful, non-violent, creative and responsible.

I believe in the path of love, peace, harmony and bliss and the omnipresent higher power which connects all beings in the universe whenever required. I bow in deep reverence to this divine presence which creates this inexplicable connectedness. For me, this divine presence is my Guru Mohanji. I have been in sheer joy and wonder at Mohanji’s leelas which repeatedly shows his deep love for all even the strays on the road.

The last fortnight has been tumultuous where I observed my Guru Mohanji working through me. I was instrumental in a lot of events which occurred one at a time. It all began when we received an email from a lady called Sujatha – who requested financial help. Her case was truly sad.

As Ammucare volunteers, we reach out to many, and it’s all about selfless service to society. So taking it up as yet another seva, I decided to look into the matter the following day. The lady had sent some gory pictures and details about her accident. It was already very late at night, and I was apprehensive of the unknown, so I decided to procrastinate till the next morning. But it was not to be. As I was about to retire for the night, I felt strong energy goading me to make that call to the lady. It seemed to be very intense instructions from an unseen force that I was compelled to call her.

A tired voice was at the other end. The words just flowed as I gently and lovingly spoke to her. She held onto the phone and cried. It was a long call. She purged all her pains, her difficulties, her trauma. I could feel her intense suffering and pain. Here is a first-person account of what transpired the next day onwards in her own words as WhatsApp messages.

“I was touched by the way you spoke to me, and I felt like you were holding my hands and not letting me fall, no words to express my devotion to Baba and Mohanji. I felt it was the angel, who the Almighty had sent after talking to you. Last night I slept peacefully after a long time. I troubled you last evening. I could not share my pain with anyone like this; I feel very pained. People do not respect if we are not financially stable.

I lit the diya in front of Mohanji’s picture and listened to Shiva Kavacham rendered by our Guru Mohanji. The voice is mesmerizing. It made me forget everything for some time; thank you for being there for me. To be honest, the first time I spoke to you, I was sitting with a bottle of pesticide (please pardon me). Your call came at that moment. I wanted to quit. I got tired of this life and struggle. Not a soul to share anything with. I was blessed to have you as an elder sister, mother, friend and guide. Your words are very soothing. Can I call you Amma? I got a mother and Guru after a long wait of hardship. How do I thank you? How do I show my respects to my Guru Mohanji?

Today there was no salt, no oil, nothing at home. I was offering Mohanji just plain rice, and the doorbell rang. I saw two guys standing with many boxes saying they were in my name. I said they are not mine. (For the last three months, I have not had proper food, just porridge.) After seeing all the grocery that Ammucare sent, it took me some time to come to my senses.

Guru Mohanji saved my family and me. I do not know how to react or express my gratitude. All these miracles and blessings are nothing but divine intervention. I was wondering all these years if something good will ever happen to me in this lifetime. Is there any soul on this Earth who will ever care for me? Yes, I have you, my Guruji Mohanji and my Sai. My Guruji’s actions and kindness touched me. Because of him, I have got my prasad.

I will never forget these days if my life. Felt like the sky opened up for me. Wish I could touch Mohanji’s feet. Love you Amma. It was a feast at home today that I shared with Mohanji. I celebrated Onam, Vishu, Diwali, Dussehra, Ganesh Chaturthi, New Year and Sankranthi – all in one day. Post lunch, I slept as if there is no tomorrow.

I will always remember this day. There is nothing more beautiful than someone going out of their way to make others happy. In my case, it is my Mohanji who reached out to me. I feel blessed. This is the second lease of my life. I owe this to you and Mohanji. It was your call that saved my life that fateful day. In fact, I had lost all hope.” Isn’t it amazing how the Guru works through others? Every word I uttered was literally put in my mouth by none other than Mohanji.

Every day the counselling sessions were powerful. Mohanji led every step I took. How beautifully my sweet Father Mohanji eased the situation, brought solace, hope, peace and contentment. It’s been two weeks now, and Mohanji changed everything for this family. Wonderful donors appeared who helped Ammucare to reach out to Sujatha. Deep gratitude to one and all.

Sujatha has accepted Mohanji as her Guru and has surrendered completely to him. She feels his presence often. The Guru Principle, the Guru Tattva, the Guru element watches over us all the time once we surrender. Of course, we need to have unshakeable faith in the Guru Tattva; then there is no need for anything else. The grace of God takes the form of Guru.

Sujatha who nearly attempted suicide was saved in the nick of time by Guru’s grace. There was no food. The Guru provided it all. No money to pay the rent. The Guru blessed her with the required amount, or else they would have been homeless. She could sleep in peace as the Guru held her hand. The Guru truly has the whole world in his hands. He’s got everyone in his hands.

My deep gratitude to Mohanji for everything. My prayer is that – may each step of mine be a circumambulation of you. May all that I consume be offerings to you (prasad). May all my thoughts, words and actions be offered as flowers at your feet. Bless me so that my life is complete. Bless me so that at death, I merge with you.

The secret miracles

cover

By Soma Seal, India

Since meeting Mohanji in 2014, in my journey on the spiritual path, karma yoga – the path of service has been my purpose. I have found my joy and peace volunteering for Ammucare. After being given the responsibility as the president of Ammucare since 2018, I feel Guru Mandala has bestowed me with a golden opportunity to serve the helpless and purify myself. In this role, I get to see the flow of divine grace in every single seva activity done by Ammucare through each volunteer as an instrument.

However, there are situations when I feel certain activities are just impossible to do because of hurdles, lack of funds, lack of manpower, resources etc. Then I see the grace flowing, and everything gets done smoothly. It is in such situations I realise the invisible supreme power behind Ammucare. That supreme invisible powerhouse is Mohanji.

Every single project is a story of Mohanji’s grace, miracle and a solid example about what conviction, consistency and faith can do!

mohanji

Let me narrate one recent story. This is about feeding the sadhus (wandering monks) in the three holy cities of North India in September 2020. In 17 days, Ammucare fed more than 43,000 sadhus and needy people in these three cities – Varanasi, Haridwar & Rishikesh.

As per the Hindu calendar, there is a particular period of 15 days, which is extremely auspicious to pay homage to our ancestors. This is called ‘Pitru Paksh’. Along with many rituals that Hindus do in this period, feeding sadhus is one way of praying for peace for the souls of their ancestors or loved ones who have left their mortal body.

Just before this period was about to start, I saw a video by one of the Mohanji Acharyas regarding the importance of feeding sadhus during Pitru Paksh (homage to the ancestors). Since then, I had this strong urge to do some seva during Pitru Paksh. Soon after, I received a message from Mohanji.

He said that Ammucare must feed the wandering monks in Varanasi, Haridwar and Rishikesh who are not getting enough food as the ashrams are closed now. He also mentioned that feeding the sadhus would help not only by bringing peace to the souls of ancestors but would also help everyone to release a lot of their karmic baggage. Mohanji also specified that we must feed good quality food, ensuring their health and safety. There should be no compromise on the quality of the food that we serve to the sadhus.

Hearing Mohanji’s message, I realised it was a command from the Tradition. Watching the video, my urge, and the message from Mohanji – all put together was a divine command that I must plunge into this seva. One more of Mohanji’s leelas (divine plays) was about to begin.

Mission – feeding as many sadhus (monks) as possible.

I was excited. I had full faith that when Mohanji commands, he will also ensure that it will happen. I started the background work on this project. As we were progressing, there were many hurdles, many doubts unfolding – new cities with no volunteers, no local support and above all lack of funds! We were focusing on good quality food for hundreds of sadhus. I had a rough estimation done. I thought we would need at least Rs. 2 Lakhs (Rs. 2,00,000) for this. While we announced this project to raise funds, I was wondering how to collect this amount. The date was approaching fast, and we had to start quickly. One morning, after the announcement posters were circulated, I was feeling very low, almost felt like crying. I suddenly felt so nervous and weak that this project would not happen. I cried to Mohanji – “Mohanji, please help.” I could feel his assurance.

Within a few hours of this episode, Mohanji Acharya and ACT UK volunteer Subhasree called me. She said that seeing the poster for this project earlier that day, she had reached out to some people in London and one kind donor had donated 1000 GBP (that’s almost Rs.1 Lakh) immediately! I had goosebumps all over. That’s nearly 50% of the budget I was targeting! I had tears in my eyes; I didn’t have enough words to thank Mohanji. He had responded to my prayers in the morning and how! As always, no delay! Soon, yet another donor donated, and I had the estimated funds before I even realised what was happening!

This was only the beginning. My dear friends, sit back comfortably and listen to this story of miracles that followed on!

With enough funds in hand, we were ready to start. My second hurdle of no volunteers & no contacts in the cities were getting addressed. Somehow, we started getting connected to the right people at each location. Our breakthrough was our first connection to Kashi Gayatri Ashram in Varanasi. Our volunteers Savitri and Krishnamurtyji played a key role in getting this connection. Within a week, we were able to establish other connections as well.

Exactly as per Mohanji’s advice, we started the Annadaan (feeding) program in Varanasi on 1 Sept. Initially the food was to be delivered from a restaurant at a higher cost which worried me. This was sorted out, and the food was cooked at this ashram by the ashramites. We ensured that the food served was of the best quality. The fresh food was then picked up our volunteer and distributed.

All along, the entire process was being carefully monitored by our volunteers.

When an activity is not merely an activity but a command of Guru Mandala with the grace of Guru, the scale in which it happens become miraculous and magnificent. This is what I witnessed here too. Even though our initial plan was to distribute food to 100 sadhus in Varanasi, the first day itself, a few Naga sadhus who rarely come out accepted our food packets. That in itself was confirmation of the presence and blessings of the Masters.

Not just intention, but our perseverance is very important when we do seva activities of this scale as we are constantly tested in the form of some roadblocks. This project was no different. On the fourth day, we ran into a roadblock. The Kashi Gayatri ashram people informed us that they would not be able to continue as the police were not allowing the distribution of food anymore. We didn’t give up. We started exploring other options and soon found two other connections in Varanasi. A student from Banaras Hindu University, with a passion for serving others, came forward to help us. He connected us to Kabir Mutt (Mutt – living place in the name of Kabir who is a great saint of the Fifteenth Century.)

We really consider it our great fortune that we could serve all three meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner to all the residents of the Mutt. Every day, 160 people were served food, and on 17th, we were able to serve 600 people.

Not just this, yet another miracle happened when we found the third location in Varanasi. Mohanji Acharya and ACT USA volunteer Lata Ganesh connected us to her sister, and another noble soul, Guruprasad, who also loves to serve. He took charge of getting the food cooked at his place and distributed the food in Khemeswwar Ghat, Chowki Ghat, Kedar Ghat and the famous Dasaswamedha Ghat. Every day, more than 200 people were served lunch.

Though we had problems initially, Mohanji actually opened new connections by bringing like-minded people to us. In fact, we now have an Ammucare volunteer in Varanasi permanently!

These are true miracles of Masters. By the way, don’t be surprised to hear this – there were miracles after miracles, with police finally giving us permission to continue the cooking and food distribution at Kashi Gayatri ashram and that service was reinstated.

It is unbelievable, where we thought initially of serving just a few hundred sadhus, in the 17 days in Varanasi, 4770 people were served food.

Now, coming to the second holy city, Haridwar. There, we got connected to Sri Gautami Nityannadan Trust, and annadaan started on 1 Sept serving hot food all three times of the day. With each passing day, we saw the crowds swelling. The sadhus enquired from the volunteers about our organisation which was offering food to them daily and blessed everyone abundantly. The food was first offered to Mother Ganga. Every day more than 800 sadhus and needy people were served breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, on the final day, food was continuously served from 8 am to 4 pm, to sadhus and children. Almost 1200 people were served hot food on that day.

Not just offering food to the holy river Mother Ganga, but every evening, Ganga aarati was also done, sponsored by Mohanji Foundation team, which brought a completely magical atmosphere, the divine essence to everyone who was there at the time.

Finally, in these 17 days of Pitru Paksh, we served food to 16000 sadhus, children and needy people at Haridwar. Additionally, we provided food and grocery items for a month to 32 families.

Now, coming to the third city, Rishikesh. The incidents in Rishikesh reminded me of the divine plan of Mohanji to serve only satvic (pure) food to the sadhus. Our initial plan in Rishikesh was to get the food cooked at a local restaurant. For some reason, this plan didn’t work out, which made me quite stressed and flustered. I made quite a few frantic calls here and there, but nothing worked. Next morning, I was talking to Bharat Bhai on something completely different, I just happened to mention about Rishikesh to him, and he connected us to Swami Narayan Ashram at Rishikesh. This is an ashram where young Brahmin boys from needy families from different states of India are brought with the consent of their parents, and nurtured here and taught the Vedas to carry out the traditional Vedic rituals for the good of mankind. This ashram is on the banks of the River Ganges. When I saw the beautiful video of the food being packed into boxes and a gate leading to the banks of Mother Ganges, I was totally mesmerised.

Soon, we arranged with this ashram to prepare and distribute fresh food. I then remembered Mohanji’s instructions! He wanted us to serve only freshly cooked satvic food! One more miracle of Mohanji! He ensured that we got connected to the right people, at the right place and ensured that the food was cooked and served fresh.

Sukhbeer, our local connection and another volunteer Henry from the UK helped us with food distribution in Rishikesh.

While food seva was progressing in these three cities, I received yet another message from Mohanji. His advice was that we should do annadaan in other holy places as well. He mentioned Thiruvannamalai, Gokarn, Puri, Rameswaram, and Badrinath etc.

Keeping the intention of serving food in these cities in the future, we thought we could at least start immediately in Thiruvannamalai, and soon we were able to serve more than 7500 people! Not just that, we could give out a month’s groceries to 200 sadhus at Tarapeeth.

We could take up these additional locations as by now; we had a steady flow of funds! (Remember how I cried on the first day)

I was wondering if we could arrange Rs. 2 Lakhs (Rs. 2,00,000), by now we had a surplus of Rs 12 Lakhs (Rs 12,00,000), six times more than my expectations. Although we had aimed to feed a few hundred, in reality, in the 17 days of Pitru Paksh, we had served food to 43000 people in all these locations.

Now let me bring another angle to this whole miraculous story.

As I had mentioned earlier, for Hindus, this time is very auspicious. However, not many people get the opportunity to be able to do such rituals and feed monks and pray for their ancestors. As we were continuing this seva, many people across Mohanji’s global family and outside too, took this as a golden opportunity for them and started sending us requests for special pujas to be performed for their ancestors on the Amavasya day (New Moon day), which is the final day of Pitru Paksh, along with the annadaan. To be able to perform the rituals and annadaan for peace and solace of their ancestors, brought so much joy and peace to all those people who had requested us. This gave me additional satisfaction in being able to serve so many people from all over the world.

Mohanji’s command to me that day through the message had brought transformation in many people; not just feeding 43000 people but bringing moksha (liberation) to many ancestors, bringing satisfaction and peace to so many people. It was indeed a golden opportunity for Ammucare, its volunteers, and to me personally, a truly fulfilling experience. A miracle of my Guru Mohanji that will remain as bright as thousand Suns forever!

Thank you Mohanji, my eternal Father, for giving me this opportunity in the first place and holding our hands every moment, facilitating every single step and accomplishing everything so beautifully.

I wish everyone who reads this true experience that I have narrated with complete honesty, is able to understand that the true miracle of a Master is not about materials, but in transformation!

That’s what I witness every moment in my life, walking with Mohanji.

My experience with Guru Raksha Homa and Intuition

by Bhumika, Canada

I wanted to take this beautiful opportunity to share my experience of the Guru Raksha Homa. I have read testimonials about it and had contacted an Acharya in June about the same, but there wasn’t any inclination in me or instinct to get it done. I just felt that I have the protection and blessings and don’t need to do this. It was also shared with me that the Homa not only helps the individual but also helps to cleanse the entire family lineage. It seemed alien to me. Since I didn’t understand, I didn’t think of it much and left it at that.

I have experienced that when Mohanji needs to get something done, he will arrange for it, and execute it beautifully. On Monday, August 17, 2020, the primary announcement was made about celebrations over the weekend (Ganesh Chaturthi, Sreepad Srivallabh Jayanthi, and second Anniversary of Datta Tapovan Ashram). That same day in the morning during meditation, the word ‘Homa’ flashed into my head, out of the blue. By now, I am getting a little familiar with the variety and beautiful ways Mohanji communicates and reaches out to his devotees. So, I contacted the team at Datta Tapovan Ashram in Toronto and received a confirmation on Wednesday that the Guru Raksha Homa was scheduled for Sunday. I wouldn’t have missed this opportunity.

On Sunday, August 23, I read Mohanji’s blog on Telegram, where he shared about his beautiful daughter Ammu. It was Ammu’s 20th death anniversary. After doing the kakad aarti, I spoke with Mohanji (his picture) and felt his pain as mine. He knows everything that conspires so he may not have needed any comforting, but I still attempted to comfort him. I did feel the pain, but I was able to focus on his message that something beautiful came out of it, Ammucare happened, and now it’s globally supporting so many human beings in various ways and fulfilling the mission.

It was time for the Homa and other scheduled events for that day, and I was able to participate in the events with ease without getting worked up. In the night, I heard Mohanji’s Podcast – “In memory of Ammu- Loss transformed into something positive.” Something shifted within me, listening to Mohanji’s words and his voice. Contrary to how I was able to see through and focus on the bigger picture, in the night listening to him, I couldn’t focus on that. I felt a deep pain within.

I was caught with Mohanji’s comments and details shared about the last day he saw Ammu alive. He shared minute details about that day, Ammu’s wet kiss on his cheeks, it felt as if it was just yesterday. And the circumstances described by Mohanji that he had to leave and Ammu was crying, as flights and plans were scheduled and needed to be executed; that’s where I was stuck, I wasn’t able to see past it.

I realized that my emotions were running high and combined with fear, it was picking momentum and turning into something nasty. I have a toddler who had had a difficult birth and continues to struggle with health and immunity to the extent that he had to be incubated when he was not even a year old and I didn’t know whether he would survive.

Seeing him go through so much, I guess there must have been a fear that was rooted deep within me. I couldn’t take it anymore. I had an intuition to call Bhavani, Mohanji’s Acharya from the USA. Bhavani was very generous and kind to unconditionally give her precious time away from her family and kids. I am so grateful to her for that day. I was heading to a very dark place, I was tipping over a cliff and falling, and Mohanji held my hand by working through Bhavani.

I started sharing details with Bhavani and also mentioned the Guru Raksha Homa. From her experience and listening to my history, she tried to convince me that this is all part of cleansing. She said, “You may have had a deep-rooted fear of losing a child, and it could be that you may have had this experience in your previous lives. With the Homa, it’s coming to the surface and cleansing is happening from your system.” She was really kind to me and very generous to share details from her life. It is any parent’s worst nightmare to lose a child, and I am no different. I went on crying and sobbing. Bhavani tried in so many ways by giving many examples to convince and comfort me and assure me that nothing wrong will happen. She commented that your faith would be tested at every step and to hold on to it tightly. And when nothing was happening, she firmly commented, “Okay, you can either hold on to your faith or keep crying like this”. LOL!!!!!

It may have been her voice, but those were Mohanji’s words. And I knew it was Mohanji, but the moment Bhavani uttered those words I could immediately experience a shift within me. I felt Mohanji was frustrated with me as I was so engulfed in emotions that nothing logical was registering in me, not even the evidence from Bhavani’s experiences. Mohanji has a lot of patience, but I was exhibiting delirium, for no reason.

That comment from Bhavani and in the way she said it did the magic. Listening to the words, “Hold on to your faith” took me out of the dark place. I calmed down, stopped crying and was peaceful. Bhavani stayed with me over the phone until she was convinced that I was okay. What started with crying and being fearful ended up with laughter, discovering a connection and love!

I have been part of the celebrations at the Datta Tapovan Ashram since Friday afternoon via zoom. Sunday was the last day of celebrating the festivities. Bhavani helped me conclude my prayers by offering Dakshina. Prayers should always be accompanied by Dakshina in any form. With Bhavani’s guidance, I donated towards Mohanji Ka Aangan and ACT4HUNGER; both the causes close to my heart. I felt so fulfilled, light and happy.

Only after talking to Bhavani, I could see through Mohanji’s leelas and his divine blessings. He directed me to get the Homa done for my benefit on such an auspicious day and freed me from a deep-rooted pain or fear that I wasn’t even aware of. If left unaddressed, it may have grown and interfered with me moving forward on this path. There was plenty of chanting and positive energy around me since Friday with the prayers. Mohanji’s Canada team worked effortlessly to ensure all the devotees tuning in via zoom have blissful experiences. It was just beautiful. Kudos to the entire team! Thank you Mahesh Ji for the Homa.

I am so thankful to Bhavani. I am filled with gratitude and love towards Mohanji. He gives unconditionally and doesn’t expect anything in return.

Before sleeping, I offered gratitude to Mohanji. The fear which had once engulfed me transformed into firm faith. I told him (to his picture), “Mohanji, you will never let anything happen to my kids. I know they are protected. I know you will take care of them. As a parent, you have experienced the loss of your daughter; in my heart, I know you will not let me go through that excruciating pain.”

The next day morning after my Kriya, I checked my messages and Bhavani had forwarded Mohanji’s quote that day, and you won’t believe what He had said. It is so surreal, at times, I have to pinch myself to make sure this is happening. Mohanji’s quote was,

“You will not have the struggle what I went through because I have already made the path for you to walk on, effortlessly.”

Mohanji

Mohanji really loves us unconditionally, his love is just infinite!

He was firm with me when he needed to be, and then he embraced me as a mother when I needed the assurance and motherly love. Mohanji is a lot of things for me, a friend, (my only friend), mother, father, and Guru! He works tirelessly for all of us. He takes so much upon himself. What I can comprehend based on my capacity and eligibility doesn’t even touch the surface of how generous and kind he is. It’s beyond my comprehension. He is with me in ways that I am not even aware.

To all those who are reading this, please know that I have never met Mohanji in person and I only started following him since April this year. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter how long you have known him in this life, whether you have met him in person, or if you are in close proximity to him, he doesn’t need a physical body to connect with us. He is energy, and we have to connect to that. And Mohanji repeatedly comments and asks us to connect with his consciousness and not stay limited to his physical form.

I am sharing this because I used to be that person who always used to wonder, “Why not me”, “When will I get such an experience”, “Oh, I wish I had that too”. I think the shift happened when I started to let go, surrender and began to experience others’ experiences as my own, I could feel their happiness and be with them in their experience. With Mohanji’s grace, I have started having awareness and recognition of his mystic ways. He communicates in so many ways, and it’s so beautiful even to describe it. In my experience, he will give me messages during meditation or through another devotee, dreams; I will hear his voice. There is an intuition, and I will follow it. Most of these messages are so out of character for me, that I know it is not my mind playing tricks, rather some higher divine energy in play. Mohanji has connected me to specific Acharyas for a specific reason. He has orchestrated events for me to be at the right time to receive the information required. Things such as listening to a replay of a video under the ‘Women Power Online Boot Camp’; joining a satsang where a guest speaker shares her experiences of her journey to Kailash with Mohanji, (I was not even aware of this event and received a last-minute invite).

Similarly, I got last-minute access to participate in Conscious Dancing with Devi Mohan on zoom; got my driver’s license renewed on the last day in 10 minutes! I can go on and on and on; there is no end to it. All I can say is, I love it. It’s like walking on water; it’s so liberating like someone is carrying me off my feet, I don’t feel the burden, the pressure. I just feel love!

Mohanji wanted me to get a Homa done, he knew that it is something I needed, but I had no clue. He spoke to me through Bhavani and said exactly what I needed to hear. His quote the following day was an assurance to me that he has heard everything I said to his picture the previous night and he was assuring me that he will not let anything happen.

Those who have just joined Mohanji, please don’t let anything come your way in connecting with him. I am telling you, he listens when you talk to him, even to his picture.

It is my ancestors and my parents’ karma that I am reaping the benefits and Mohanji’s grace in this lifetime. I have never experienced such unconditional love in my entire life. If I take one step towards him, he is taking ten towards me.

Believe me; I am not special; I am nothing. All I do is keep talking to him; that’s all I do. Whatever comes to my head, I tell him.

Sorry, Mohanji, there might be ‘message traffic’ coming your way in future and knowing that you love silence, this will be fun! Just kidding, I love you from the bottom of my heart (you can be at multiple places at the same time) I have loved you in my previous lifetimes too (an intuition). Writing this experience is also an intuition, it has been on my mind all day today, and I knew I had to do it.

Mohanji, always, always bless us!

Mohanji yelllow

Sreeja Ranjit, Ethiopia

“You didn’t come to me, I came to you. That is how much love I have for my people.” Mohanji

Whenever I read or remember this quote, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and have tears flowing down my cheeks. I come from a family in Kerala, India, where both my parents and in-laws do not believe in following a Guru’s teachings. So even though I was very religious and used to visit temples frequently, I never believed that a Guru would walk into my life and change it forever.

I always had the desire to do social service, charity work, and to help people who were in need, but was always skeptical because I did not know if it was reaching the right hands most of the time when money was donated. I never used to feel happy because of the above reason. I was working back then and did not know any organisation to go all out and to be among people to help directly.

During Power of Purity Meditation – Thus Spake Mohanji

Then Mohanji came into my life in February 2017, and even though initially it was through blogs and videos (I had finished watching all his videos and read all the blogs before I physically met him), the connection was already strong by the time I met him in January 2018, in a satsang in Thrissur, Kerala. I still remember I was waiting for the satsang from December onwards and was so excited about meeting my Guru for the
first time. My soul was rejoicing and my heart was so expanded in happiness as if I had found a treasure for which I had been waiting many lifetimes. I remember praying nothing should go wrong and that I should reach Thrissur from Cochin on time. Needless to say, my experience there was so profound all throughout the satsang.

From the time I met Mohanji, he has fulfilled all the true desires I had sincerely wished for. It was during the 2018 Kerala floods that I joined Ammucare, and we as a team could reach out directly to many needy people in distress and  I was feeling so happy because that innermost desire to serve was getting fulfilled. It is only his grace and experience from Ammucare that helped me to start doing the ACT activities here in Ethiopia from the very first week we landed here. People here warned us saying Ethiopia is not safe but I was not a bit scared as Mohanji had assured us that he is always with us and was taking care of us. He has always said,

“When you start taking responsibility for the well-being of the world, the world takes responsibility for your well-being too. Life is always reciprocal in kindness.”

There had been a phase just before we moved to Ethiopia when I was completely down due to an incident and I was constantly praying to Mohanji to guide me so that I could accept the situation with awareness and let it go. I was not able to forget the incident and every morning I was waking up with a heavy heart as I was more or less free at that time as my husband had just left for Ethiopia and we were to move there in a few months’ time. As usual, Mohanji always listens and one day, a week later, I got a request to write on the Mohanji Consciousness page. I was not sure if it was my cup of tea but I agreed as I felt I will be more close to my beloved Guru’s consciousness. I started writing and within 2 days the weight of the incident started reducing and within a week I forgot all about it even though it had been a serious incident of betrayal which had broken me down completely. I still feel it was a miracle that had shifted my mind from it. I became my normal self again in a few weeks’ time and it had lost its importance in my life. Without any struggle from my side or any self-talk, I had accepted the incident even without my conscious knowledge as a part of my karma and moved on.

During Power of Purity Meditation – Thus Spake Mohanji

Now, I’m coming to the present incident that happened recently during the 41 days of PoP sadhana. I love to do the Power of Purity meditation as it makes me feel so blessed and rejuvenated. Moving to a new country had forced me to do the meditation alone. Since I knew the importance of group energy during meditation for blockage clearings, I had an ardent desire for PoP to be conducted online as a group. When I enquired back then in December 2019 before the Covid-19 situation, I came to know it was not possible to do online sessions. Last month in June 2020, suddenly one day, I came to know that 41 days of PoP sadhana was going to be done online and my joy knew no bounds. Another desire in my heart was thus fulfilled in a few months’ time. Immense gratitude to Mohanji for making this impossible thing possible.

Registered with South Africa Mohanji Acharyas, my sadhana began beautifully. About 15 days into the meditation, I started getting severe headaches. The migraine was so bad that even with migraine painkillers like Ibuprofen, it would not go away. It would fade for some time, and come back with more severity. After each meditation, my third eye would throb and the headaches became unbearable.

Mai-Tri - Mohanji Foundation

Since it was getting impossible to bear the pain daily, I asked Mai-Tri practitioner Savithri Vasudevan for a Mai-Tri session. After the session, she told me a lot of blockages across lifetimes were getting cleared through the body. She told me once the blockages are cleared, I will be fine. But I was finding it so difficult to get up in the morning for the EBC routine with the head throbbing badly. 10 days continued this way and since it was not getting any better, I asked her for another Mai-Tri session. She said it is not required and later told me that Mohanji had asked her to work together with Mohanji Acharya Preeti Duggal. Preetiji, immediately messaged me saying that I should take Baba’s Udi in water till the headaches subside.

I did not have Baba’s Udi with me but have read many experiences of devotees in the Sai Satcharitra that it is the faith and devotion that matters. So I chanted Baba’s Gayatri 9 times, and drank the water mixed with the Udi I had with me. I got engrossed in my work and later within an hour or so found that my continuous headache of 10 days had reduced considerably. I was feeling very happy but decided I would continue to
take the Udi every day till I recovered completely. The next day, I got up and found my headache had reduced further and it was only like a very feeble heaviness in my head. Within 2 days, I was completely fine and my headaches had disappeared. They have never returned after that day and I completed my 41 days of meditation successfully. The miraculous power of Baba’s Udi cannot be explained in words. It was Mohanji who introduced Sai Baba to me and told me the power of Udi when my son had been sick. I have known all great Masters of the tradition only through Mohanji. I also started reading the Sai Satcharitra every Thursday. It was only with Mohanji’s and Baba’s grace that we could visit Shirdi for the first time last year.

Sai Baba – Experiences With Mohanji

I feel so grateful for all the blessings and grace that has been showered on me and my family and my only wish now is to always remain surrendered to Mohanji and the Masters of the Tradition so that I can move steadfastly on the spiritual path. Koti koti pranams to the lotus feet of Para Brahma Swaroop Mohanji.

A shelter in Arunachala

By Pravin Thakkar, UK

I would like to share this story of gratitude to Mohanji. This is very special for me too, as this event was possible only with Mohanji’s grace, and his help is for the karmic benefit of me and my family.

Let me tell you the story.

In 2018 August, Mohanji visited us in London. At that time, my wife and I had a deep desire to visit the Arunachala temple with Mohanji. We expressed this desire to Mohanji. He guided me to talk to the team who plan Mohanji’s programmes. After some discussion, I found out that there was no visit possible in the near future.

In October 2018, we were attending the pilgrimage to Badrinath with Mohanji. There were heavy rains and flooding in different parts of India. Some of Mohanji’s programmes were cancelled due to this and the team was able to plan a pilgrimage to Arunachala with Mohanji at short notice.

We were still in India at that time. When we heard this visit being planned, I realised that it was Mohanji’s divine plan, he was fulfilling our wish to visit Arunachala with him! This was a clear indication that when a wish comes from heart, Guru always fulfils it. We were so grateful to Mohanjifor fulfilling our wish and we were soon in Arunachala with Mohanji.

What happened in Arunachala was something that is beyond just fulfilling a simple desire!

While we were in Arunachala, I noticed a few old sadhus, very sick and looking really like beggars. I wanted to help them but due to certain restrictions, I wasn’t allowed to do so. I was so sad in my heart. I couldn’t sleep the whole night thinking about those sadhus. The next morning, I conveyed my wish to Mohanji about how we could help such old, sick, and helpless sadhus.

Mohanji is so compassionate. He immediately arranged a visit to a small place where we saw someone had created a temporary shelter for about 70 sadhus who were very old, sick, and helpless. Mohanji immediately advised the Ammucare team to start regular health check-up, and food and medicine donations to this shelter. While we were at that place, Mohanji told me that this was a temporary place and due to some issues, this shelter was to be closed soon and the sadhus would be on the road!

Hearing that, my heart cried. I felt an inner calling to do something permanent for these sadhus. I expressed my intention to Mohanji immediately. Once again, Mohanji responded quickly. He advised the Mohanji Foundation CEO to look into this matter to see if some land could be acquired and a shelter built.

I was in a dream, I thought. Within months, everything was falling into place. The land was found, donations were collected. Of course, nothing happens without hurdles. Those hurdles were just tests for us to check our conviction and the depth of our intention.

So in the end, in October 2019, exactly a year later, the land in Arunachala was purchased and inaugurated by Mohanji. It was clearly a divine blessing as without any prior planning, we had two eminent Masters also attending this function!

In all these events, I was only a small instrument. My wish to serve the sadhus must be a desire from past lives, and Mohanji made sure all that was fulfilled! With this, I know that a huge karma of mine and maybe even that of my lineage has been completed!

I am so thankful to my Guru Mohanji to have fulfilled my desires and for helping me to accomplish my karmic agenda in such a compassionate way – from that first visit to Arunachala to the land acquisition for the home for seniors! May this place give peace, love, and shelter to the sadhus of Arunachala.

Thank you Mohanji from the depth of my heart, thank you.
