As I sit down in Ahimsa The Vegan Café today on the 22nd of December 2018 (Datta Jayanti) finishing off this article on my laptop, with Mohanji’s picture up on the wall of the Café in front of me, I can’t help but reflect on that day over seven years ago, the 4th of November 2011. On that fateful day, I was waiting anxiously at Heathrow airport terminal 3 with my 10-year-old son Vivek and a bunch of bright orange roses in my hand to meet Mohanji for the first time. Little did I know how he was to change my life and what experiences lay ahead of me! This was the start of an amazing new journey in my life. What a journey it has been so far!
Here are three beautiful experiences which highlight Mohanji’s statement, “I am always with you”. He understands the needs of every person who connects with him and fulfils their wishes or gives them the guidance needed to move on this path of pathlessness.
Traveling to Kailash was never in my bucket list until a few years back. I had heard many experiences of various devotees and had even read the book, ‘Kailash with Mohanji’ in bits and parts. It was mesmerizing to read and hear about Kailash and the ‘Kailashis’ but nothing stirred me enough to consider my trip to Kailash; probably Shiva did not consider me eligible at that time.
Mohanji patiently stood near the doorway while each person took a picture with him. Taken by George, the pictures were stunning. The vibrant red of the vest, the bandana, and the cool shades made Mohanji look so amazing. But most of all, the words on the vest, ‘Lifeguard’ was just perfect! The loving Guru, the Eternal Charioteer, the Guardian of our life and soul, was fulfilling yet another loving wish. Thank you dearest Mohanji, for this precious picture that we are all blessed to have.
When we start writing our experiences, lots of thoughts go back and forth internally; thoughts of what should be shared, how it should be shared, if it’s appropriate, how will others receive it and so on. It’s almost like a tennis match, where the thoughts are like the ball, shuttling between the courts of reasoning. Upon witnessing my thoughts carefully, I came to the understanding that EVERYTHING IS TRADITION.
Incredible is the grace of Guru Mandala that through these visions of Mohanji in Kailash, it was proven yet again that when Mohanji travels on a pilgrimage, He just doesn’t take people physically, He takes everyone connected to His consciousness spiritually too!
From within, my heart and soul was with Mohanji and Kailash. How could he ever leave any devotees’ honest wishes unfulfilled? Thus, Mohanji came in my dream last night.
I saw the snow-covered mountain, the statue and the lake, all at once. Suddenly, a thought came to my mind – ‘This is KAILASH!!!’ I bowed at once and kept focussing on it and absorbing all that I could. In this blissful state, I heard myself say, “Mohanji has taken me to Kailash.”
As my eyes closed that night, I saw Kailash – bathed in the blue hue of the bright moonlight, with the shimmering white crown of snow. I was lying down in one of the rooms directly in front of the north face of Kailash at Dirapuk (Tibet, China) in the only guest house that the place had to offer. The day had begun as any on the Kailash parikrama trail.
