Mohanji’s silent message to a devotee

By Charles Ndifon Londi, Canada

Mohanji advocates a vegan lifestyle, and this makes sense when viewed from the ahimsa (non-violence to all sentient beings) perspective. The beauty of his style is that it is suggestive and not forced upon the devotee, and this enables him/her to handle the changes that come with adherence to Consciousness Kriya (a lifestyle of humility, non-violence, gratitude and purity). And so, quite frankly, some will give up meat and meat products slowly and in a natural way.

It will come from within and not so much from without. However, along the way, there will be silent nudges and reminders from Mohanji of the virtues of leading a vegan lifestyle. This is what happened to a Mohanji devotee in the Congo Democratic Republic, Joseph, whom I jokingly call Tonton Jeff, the grand Hindu of Congo. The story that follows is about his experience, and he has granted me permission to narrate it for the edification of all.

On account of many household chores, he had to engage another housemaid soon after, the former one left. After some time, he realized that the new housemaid, unlike the former one, would not eat whenever food was served with meat. Joseph decided to ask her why she was behaving in that way. The young lady told him she is a Christian, and the Pastor of her church discourages the eating of animal flesh.

The young lady to whom I spoke said all congregation members are strict vegetarians. The church members come together and produce something that resembles meat from non-animal ingredients, and this is sold to congregants as a viable food source. So the encounter with meat at Joseph’s home caused her to become squeamish, and she just kept away whenever food with traces of animal flesh was served.

The run-up to this situation, she said, was her health which was never good until she joined this Christian church where fasting and prayers were done, and the eating of meat in all forms was eschewed. Thereafter, she was relieved of all her health afflictions, she said, and that is why she could not go back to eating animal flesh. And here, the silent but audible voice of Mohanji comes in.

In my conversation with Joseph, he himself told me that he understood this subtle message from Mohanji through his housemaid and that he’ll make efforts to be like her housemaid too. I was very thrilled by this story which illustrates the use of what some call the ‘Golden Tongued’ wisdom by great Masters operating in the Supreme God Consciousness/Awareness to pass across messages without saying a word directly to the person for whom a message is destined.

It may be through even a mad man, a signpost, a billboard, radio or television advertisement, a casual statement by a friend or stranger, etc. Joseph’s housemaid’s story made me wake up to the voice of Guru Mohanji, the voice of God, all around me, and this may well be a message for anyone else.

From the maid’s experience, I deduce that even if one were not a spiritually-minded person, a vegan lifestyle has a huge positive impact on one’s personal health, which is a plus, not a minus. I have, since becoming a Kriya Yogi, tried to do some research on human beings and meat-eating, and this is what I found out.

The intestines of human beings aren’t designed to handle meat, so man is actually a herbivore (eating leaves and plants). If a herbivore eats meat (man, for example), it takes a very long time to exit the body, putrifies and produces noxious gases and all kinds of toxins that compromise health.

It cannot be gainsaid that human beings, who are by nature herbivores, don’t have a problem with meat digestion and excretion. Perhaps Joseph’s housemaid’s story of chronic ill health and becoming well and vibrant after she stopped eating meat is a good signpost for anyone who cares nothing about spirituality but just wants to improve their health. One may well stumble on Mohanji’s guidance to physical and spiritual healing in the process.

Transformations through group meditations – Part 1

Please read and enjoy these beautiful testimonials from around the globe. The amazing benefits of the Power of Purity meditation is truly felt by so many who enjoy practicing it regularly.

By Cathy Johnston, UK

Being a newbie to the Mohanji family (I met him last Nov) has been a whirlwind of self-discovery and excavations of self-limiting beliefs. The feelings of lack of self-worth (with roots firmly embedded into my childhood) are not something I’ve ever known how to overcome. No matter how many achievements or challenges I’ve defeated, these deeply rooted feelings continued to mess with my monkey mind.

After the first week of PoP (Power of Purity) group meditations I began to feel really crappy about myself, my latent insecurities were predictably bubbling up to the surface and a dark blanket of foggy self-doubt began to engulf my every thought. I began doubting my surrender, my connection and all things Mohanji, and felt utterly miserable and at a complete loss.

I was aware that my emotions were once again stealing my joy and ‘ruling’ my life and even though I could acknowledge where these familiar feelings were coming from, I just didn’t know how to get a grip of them, how to climb out of this destructive cycle. Until of course, Mohanji once again came to my rescue!

Mohanji spoke to me twice in succession following one of last week’s meditations. I had gone downstairs and whilst I was waiting for the kettle to boil I clicked onto FB and scrolled aimlessly onto a video someone had posted of Robbie Williams and his wife counselling a young teenager about her anxieties. (I have never been a fan of Robbie, to be honest, but for some reason, I was drawn into this conversation).

The message from Robbie to the young girl (from Mohanji to me) was that ‘her courage and her bravery were more powerful than her self-doubt’. Another Mohanji’ light bulb moment’ for me and the second time Mohanji has spoken to me (indirectly this time) through music, the language of love.

My mood was completely lifted, and I smiled at the playfulness of Mohanjis grace and then, one of the next items I clicked on was a photo quote of Mohanji’s saying; “Surrender is an attitude and not from the mind”.

The two most mind dominating clouds I’d been struggling with all week just gone! In a puff of smoke just as the kettle boiled! My courage is undoubtedly far more powerful than my self-doubt and my attitude more powerful than my mind (at least that’s what my poor mother would say).

Thanking Mohanji for this second stab at a more faith fuelled life and to all of the Mohanji family for their unconditional love and support.

In the wee, small, tortured hours

When monkey mind awakes

Torments and pokes my patient soul

I seek the safety of your face.

A dog-eared image in your stead

When there’s no place left to go

Is the soothing balm

To quell my fears

And back to sleep, I go.

By a participant from Australia

What an incredible boon it is to be part of this group meditation. When we started these 41 days of PoP, I wasn’t really convinced that a bunch of people in different locations, seemingly only connected by zoom could really create an amplified meditation experience but I quickly came to feel that these meditations were more powerful than they had been when I just did it by myself. Then yesterday morning this was taken to a whole new level.

I had set my alarm for 5 am to do my Early Birds Club activities before the PoP at 6 am but having made the mistake of not placing the alarm far enough away that I had to get up out of bed to turn it off, I was fast asleep again seconds after hitting the switch. I awoke again at 6.30 am and realised meditation was halfway through. I didn’t want to disturb the group so I thought I would just do my own PoP later in the morning and fell asleep again, but my group leader Mohanji Acharya had noticed that I wasn’t there and had made an intention to bring me into the group energy field anyhow.

I felt very peaceful, and when I slept again, I had an incredible dream. In my dream, I came across a group of people having some program, so I just sat down with them and joined in. Someone behind me placed their foot on my spine and gave me shakti (energy/power). After that, I started levitating and floating around, so peacefully and happily. After this ‘program’ finished, I was told the master it was organised around had already left and gone off to another country for the next program.

It was the most amazing dream I have had in forever, and the Mohanji Acharya told me that my strong intention to join, the group’s intention to bless every member (and so many others), and the love and grace of Mohanji had transported me astrally into the meditation while I was still lying asleep in bed. So now I will never again doubt the power of the ‘group energy field’.

Thank you so much Mohanji, thank you so much Mohanji family for including me and carrying me when I tripped up.

By Britta Burmehl, Germany

I am in a situation of being separated from my husband after 25 years of our relationship. The meditation programme was a great support for me during this time. It has given me a lot of inner peace and quiet. Through the process of blessing, I had the feeling that I was able to do something for everyone who is involved with my family, and I hope to find a good and peaceful way to interact with all of them.

My husband was on holiday for 2-3 weeks during this time. I knew that he was very angry with me. I was very worried about seeing him again and did not speak to him during this time. Through the meditation, I focused on love and gratitude every day, blessed him and hoped we would find a loving and peaceful way together. When he came back, the meeting was very peaceful and appreciative; I had not expected that at all. I think that regular meditation contributed a lot to this peaceful meeting.

The meditation helps me to start the day differently than usual. I am more attentive with my thoughts than before and feel that I can be much more connected to myself with inner peace. Also, meditating in the group has been very good for me. I felt very cared for and supported and felt that I am not alone. I am very grateful to all who have contributed to the fact that these meditations take place. We in the group decided to continue after the 41 days because this connection through meditation does us all very good. I hope that many more people can participate in this wonderful meditation.

The 41 days of POP meditation did me a lot of good; I can only recommend it to everyone! In love and deep gratitude.

By Aarati Sarma, Dubai

Before I pen down my thoughts about the journey of 41 days of PoP meditation, I surrender myself to the lotus feet to express my gratitude to Mohanji for giving me an opportunity to be a part of this beautiful journey. As we all believe life’s a journey, I feel very blessed to be a part of this journey with Mohanji’s grace, to connect to his consciousness. I feel this journey came right in time, and it was a real breakthrough for me. I can’t thank the Mohanji Acharya enough for all the efforts and time put in for clearing all my doubts and being so patient. I don’t know how it was done, but the intention for the day had always been relevant to my experience at that point in time, and it helped to put things in that perspective.

I am just writing to express how grateful I am that a Mohanji Acharya came into my life and helped me broaden my eyes to meditation and self-reflection. I can feel that the practices have changed my perception of myself and the world, and unfold the old patterns in my brain, and a new beginning has already taken hold. I strongly feel dedication and determination is the key to the practice.

Meditation has personally helped me to find a balance and acceptance of things in life as they come. Slowly the benefits of meditation started to show up outside in life, for example, to be able to respond to a situation instead of reacting.

The meditation and the most inspiring quotes of the day gave me instant joy and put a smile on my face and made my day much lighter. Words are not enough to say thank you to the Mohanji Acharya for enriching my life, widening my horizons and for always being available throughout. Whatever I am today is because of Mohanji and his loving instruments.

By Sowmia Kolanjinathan, India

“Am I living a life of lie?” was the question that brought me all the way to Mohanji through my Sai. As a 24-year old girl, I never had clarity in what I was seeking in this world of spirituality.

My spiritual journey began partly at the age of 15, but my analytical mind and gathered up knowledge, I seriously considered spirituality as a subject to just know and research upon. I read many books along the path about Robert Adams, An Autobiography of a Yogi, Himalayan Master, Sri M and so on.

I was like a curious kid who wants to know what people and my Baba say about the mind, and getting Brahma Gyan (spiritual wisdom). Too much experience gathered in my system theoretically. What next? I pleaded to Baba to show me the real path, what is real divinity?” Baba miraculously guided me to Mohanji’s blogs and videos, where I got to ask numerous questions from the Ask team on Mohanji’s website. Destiny welcomed me with divine angels in the form of Mohanji Acharyas as my mentors!

Like the wind which flows directionless, my wavering mind and concepts found direction when I was invited to join Mohanji’s 41 days of Power of Purity meditation. At first, I was quite hesitant and took so much time even to give a try, but something in me pushed my limitations, and in the last minute, I got myself enrolled.

I created a routine in myself, and as I was enjoying the practice daily, I could witness a lot of ego and hidden emotions coming up to the surface as a test to my research of knowing myself. Mohanjii became so close to me, I truly felt deep within that Baba put on a play to hand me over to my Guru of many lifetimes, it’s not a falsehood of illusion but a sense of deep revelation. My joy knew no bounds.

My practice was good, everything is going fine, and then appeared questions and doubts, was PoP actually working for me, how can I get logical confirmation, how will I know if it’s real or mental projections? Thinking about Mohanji and putting these questions to him, I went to sleep, and my casual routine continued.

The very next day after my PoP session, I felt a new out of league experience. I suddenly felt the floor beneath me in the middle of the meditation, and till the end, I could feel the whole room, my table, books, and tumbler, everything vibrating with a different kind of energy which I cannot explain in words but could sense. When I shared this with my Acharyas, I was guided to witness the process with gratitude.

My mum came to my room the very same night. She is 54 years old and is undergoing menopause and has a history of troubled sleeping pattern. She is not into any meditation or spirituality but is also a great devotee of Sai. She came and helped me to arrange my bookshelf and wardrobe, in the very same room where I have Sai Baba’s portrait and do my meditation. She was talking casually and doing the chores, and after a few minutes, she said she felt sleepy and lay down on my bed beside me.

I thought she might be tired and took it casually and went with my doings. After an hour, I felt an urge to check up on her and tried to wake her up with fear because it seemed unusual to me. When she woke up, she was way too quieter than normal, which honestly scared me a little, but I could see her eyes were so bright and crystal clear.

I asked, “Mum, are you okay?” and she replied, “Sowmi, I never had this kind of alluring peaceful sleep since childhood”. I lovingly mocked her by saying, “Is 60 minutes eye closing a little nap!” But something struck me inside. I said, “Yes Mom, you seem so normal and at peace” and she replied saying, “Yes, Sai made me have a holy dip at his feet, I feel like a new-born, it’s not a usual sleep…” and she smiled and walk away as usual.

A moment of silence echoed within me, and then the tears started rolling down! Didn’t Mohanji give me the answer again! You little poor girl, I gave you the real experience you crave for, and you still doubt if it happened to you. Now, are you satisfied to hear that I’m with you through the words of your Mom? Mohanji, you know me, and no one is a stranger to you. As I realised that his power and energy is with me always, my questions dissolved in the ocean of bliss. “When you dissolve into the question itself; the Master does answer in an unassuming way”.

Grace of Mohanji – Beyond Science

Author: Dr. Nikita Naredi, Pune, India

Mohanji - experience by Dr Nikita Naredi, Pune

A flickering flame ignited five years back has now expanded into a crackling fire, creating a warm and wholesome hearth in my soul, that illuminates the path to my destination – my Guru, Mohanji. As you must have guessed, the duration of my association with Mohanji is nearing 5 years. The transformation He has brought in me, my life and my overall persona is beyond words. This is the change I perceive in myself and my nearest family (my daughter, my husband, my parents and siblings) can overtly see in me. I don’t need not to put this testimony in words to prove their veracity as everyone connected to Mohanji (I call him lovingly as “Father”) can vouch for the truth of their experiences. If He says, “I am with you”, then He is always with us walking by our side, helping us in our day to day dharma, removing all our impediments and facilitating our growth both spiritually and as human beings.

All of us who are positively connected to Mohanji have had super experiences of Him touching our lives. It behooves us to pen them down these experiences so that, during our moments of darkness, they serve as a guiding light for us to dispel negativity and reaffirm faith by showing us the immense grace that has been showered by the Master in our lives. It also helps show the beacon of light to other people including our M family members to repose trust in the Divine that is always earnestly working for our well being.

Mohanji - experience by Dr Nikita Naredi, Pune 2

I am a gynaecologist specialising in IVF (in vitro-fertilisation) – medical speak for what is commonly known as making test tube babies for couples who are unable to conceive. The success rate of this procedure is low with the best of centres across the globe hovering around 45-50% i.e. in the best of the best, 1 in 2 couples succeed in conceiving. The results in my clinic are very good with Mohanji’s grace. Mostly, it is 45% and in certain months, it goes up to 55%. I take no credit for that because I know He is facilitating every procedure that I am doing. Earlier, I used to feel sad for couples getting negative reports. During one of my meetings with Him, He said, “Surrender it to me, irrespective of whether good or bad, and believe Mohanji is performing it.” Since, I have stopped taking ownership for anything that happens in my clinic and react neutrally.

I want to share one of my experiences which is beyond the realms of science and will be difficult to comprehend for a normal person who is working only with the narrow domains of mind and reasoning. This particular couple, married for 8 years with no children, reported to my clinic for fulfilling their dreams of parenthood. They were very anxious as they had two failed attempts of IVF performed earlier elsewhere. We started their evaluation and, after counselling and explaining the existing problem, I recommended IVF treatment for them. Soon we commenced the IVF treatment for the couple. IVF treatment, in short the eggs of the women are taken out of the body under anaesthesia and fused with husband’s sperms outside the body and once the embryo (baby) is formed, it is put into the woman’s uterus. For this, the lady has to take lots of injections for almost a month which can be both physically and psychologically very challenging. The worst is the uncertainty of the outcome.

Mohanji - experience by Dr Nikita Naredi, Pune 3 Grace

When we started the procedure for the couple, I told them to get connected to Mohanji and they started attending the Power of Purity meditations regularly. The husband started feeling at peace and he started participating in all our service activities too.  Soon, he became an ardent devotee of Mohanji. After the first failed cycle, we started the third cycle with complete surrender to Mohanji. The husband was teaching the kids from slums at ‘Mohanji Kaa Aangan’ in Pune with full sincerity, love and devotion. I knew Mohanji was taking care. I started the third cycle of IVF and after a tumultuous month of injections and procedures, the final procedure was done and the time for results approached. I had no expectations this time. Lo and behold! The result was positive and she had conceived twins. It might seem very obvious this time but this is not what I wanted to share. The journey of Mohanji’s blessings in their lives had just begun with pregnancy.

After around 4½ months of pregnancy, the lady started having very high blood pressure. High blood pressure during pregnancy is a very severe disorder, especially if it happens during early months. High blood pressure during pregnancy can be fatal for the mother if not treated in a timely manner. If the blood pressure can’t be controlled and the pregnancy is very early, the only cure is to remove the pregnancy to save the life of the mother. For this particular lady, her first blood pressure recording was very high at 180/120 (normal is 120/80). We admitted her and started her on medication to control the blood pressure. I was anxious and apprehensive. An uncomfortable  thought had come to consider the possibility of aborting her pregnancy if the blood pressure could not be controlled. Then again, who was I to decide the course when Mohanji was taking care?

Mohanji - experience by Dr Nikita Naredi, Pune 6 Grace

It was a happy moment for us when her pressure was controlled soon enough but we knew we would have to monitor her very closely. Such cases would require high doses of drugs or, in some cases, a combination of two or more medicines to control the blood pressure. I called the couple and told them that we have a long way to go to finally reach the stage of having a successful pregnancy outcome without any harm to the mother and the babies. Only one thing was required: complete surrender to Mohanji. They started chanting daily and continued the POP meditation daily, while I and my team were looking after the lady’s medical condition. It is a miracle that, till 8½ months of pregnancy, her blood pressure remained under control with a minuscule dose of medicines. The babies were growing adequately with no complications.

Blood pressure during pregnancy is associated with many complications – fits and liver failure being some of them. This lady had no such problems as well as no increase in number and dosage of drugs. It was only in the end (about 8½ months of pregnancy) when the babies were mature enough that the blood pressure started increasing again despite the medicines. At that point, we decided to carry out her delivery for the safety of the mother and the babies. She underwent a Caesarean section and delivered two beautiful, cute daughters who they subsequently named Nitya (Eternal) and Niyati (Destiny).

Mohanji - experience by Dr Nikita Naredi, Pune 4 Grace

It’s beyond our scientific knowledge to explain this miraculous protection throughout the pregnancy. In cases of high blood pressure in early parts of pregnancy, we have generally had to sacrifice the babies for the safety of the mother. In this couple’s case, not only did we avoid abortion, but the healthy babies were also delivered against all odds. Surely, this lady and her beautiful daughters were completely under the protection of Mohanji! Their surrender, utmost faith and Mohanji’s blessings gave us a successful and fruitful outcome. Lucky are the two angels who were blessed by Mohanji in person when He visited Pune. Divinity, grace, compassion and unconditional love was exuding when they were in His arms.

Another lady who is also a Mohanji devotee as well as my patient had a failed first IVF cycle. She was very composed when she heard the report. When she met Mohanji subsequently, He said “It was not meant to happen this time”. He suggested her to visit Kukke Subrahmanya temple in Karnataka before going through the next cycle. She expressed her desire to have twins and Mohanji smiled as if to say Tathasthu (So be it). Subsequently, when we carried out her second cycle, the Divine was with her. Guess what! She had twins – a boy and a girl!

Mohanji - experience by Dr Nikita Naredi, Pune 5 Grace

This is just a drop of the ocean of blessings from Mohanji in my patients lives and mine. I feel His presence in my clinic which is officially called the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Centre. For me, it’s my temple since He remarked, “I stay here” on one of His visits to the centre. Since the month, He visited and blessed the place the success rates have just boomeranged to 63% from the usual 45-50%. We are only a channel for the Divine to carry out it’s work. The grace and blessings of the Master help us sail through.

Mohanji - experience by Dr Nikita Naredi, Pune 7 Grace

Science and technology have definitely helped us progress and help these anxious couples but the role of the Divine and the grace always reigns more supreme. During one of my conversations with Mohanji, He had mentioned “The devotee’s surrender forces Me to cut down their karmas to such a great extent that it is unfathomable”. Every moment, I thank Mohanji for guiding me, blessing me and spreading His love and grace so that I am able to bring happiness in people’s lives.

Jai Mohanji
