Lessons living with Mohanji – Days 159 & 160

by Christopher Greenwood

Day 159 – Beware of ‘Quick Fix’ Spirituality

The other day I spoke to Mohanji, and our conversation focused on the progress of the activities happening here in Slovenia. As we talked, the conversation started to touch on the path Mohanji is laying out for everybody, a Dharmic path of righteousness, which he is bringing to the world. He said that following the path of Dharma is precarious because you have to stay within the rules of Dharma for all activities, whereas if you are with adharma (unrighteousness), there are no rules; you can do whatever you like. The dharmic principles are included in what Mohanji delivers through his transformational practices and methods, such as Mai-Tri and MTM (Mohanji Transformation Method); they always include the statement, “As karmically correct or allowed,” so karma is never interfered with.

He shared when we were speaking that this isn’t always the case for other people who are seemingly delivering practices and transformation or offering quick-fix solutions or a path to spirituality. In healing, for example, he shared that many people apparently can heal – they can cure a disease, take some ailment away, or do something for somebody, but people might not see how they’re doing that. Healing needs to be fully understood because someone may be able to give somebody quick relief from pain or an illness, but if it was karmically necessary for it to happen, it still needs to happen. What that means is that somebody could potentially have temporary relief, but you don’t know the cost because karma can’t be easily moved.

This could potentially come back and come back with interest; the person who they’ve gone to could just shift it to another time, maybe another lifetime, so it’s temporarily gone but comes back with more. The person or the practitioner can be seen in high light, but actually, they’ve not done much. In fact, they could have potentially created something worse. He shared the story of a young lady who was very interested in kundalini activation happening quickly. She paid a tantric practitioner something like 500,000 INR to activate this.

Mohanji has shared that Kundalini will naturally rise once all the blockages have been removed. Once all the existing karmic blockages have been taken out of the system, it progresses naturally, which is what he explains well during Kriya and the training, which everybody does as part of Kriya. If there are blockages and yet people jumpstart Kundalini, then it can deviate. It can either go to the Sun (Pingala) – create some madness, or to the Moon (Ida) – create depression.

This is what happened to this lady; she had gone into a kind of madness. When she came to Mohanji, he asked her to go back to the same tantric practitioner and ask him to put it straight. She did that, paid again, and did the Pooja- the necessary ritual, but still, she was the same. Finally, the practitioner admitted that he didn’t know how to change it; he didn’t know how to take it back.

This is why, in Mohanji’s initiation, protection is created so that when Kundalini does rise, there’s no deviation; it’s safe. Then through the practices that we have of karma yoga (service), everything is being reduced and done in a stable way. It may not be a quick fix like what others might offer. It takes time, but then there are no quick fixes in spirituality. People going for them must be wary of the cost because sometimes people may not even know its repercussions.

Day 160 – Catching the Dimensions of Mohanji

I’d shared a message a few days back about the mosaic of Mohanji, his various dimensions and that the more time I spend with him, the less I understand. I also shared some words from a great saint who said that people wouldn’t fully understand Mohanji whilst he is alive, but those with him will be remembered long after that.

Recently, Soma ji, the Ammucare Team President, shared an incredible story, which gave me a clear insight into something much grander and incomprehensible than what my eyes can see about Mohanji, who’s in front of me. It was an incredible incident at the recent food serving for the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar, India. For those who might not know, Kumbh Mela is a colossal event where all great saints, sages and sadhus gather to take a dip in the river. It’s a very auspicious time of the year for this activity, and it holds a lot of spiritual significance in the Hindu calendar. Most years, Mohanji takes people there, I also joined one year in Prayagraj, and it was incredible.

I was there when Mohanji decided we needed to arrange food for the event. It came to him, and he wanted to ensure that people were fed there because many great saints and sadhus would be attending. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be able to serve there. It was difficult due to COVID, and the team was very cautious. They didn’t know how to do the Seva considering the many logistical difficulties, but Mohanji was determined. Despite these concerns, Mohanji didn’t take no for an answer, so the usual ‘Get it done’ order came. When he says this, it also comes with the empowerment to make it happen.

I was sitting with Mohanji the other day, he was in the room, and I was busy doing some work when he called me over to his chair and said, “Take a look at this. Read this message”. It was a message from Soma Ji. It was a fascinating experience shared by the people serving food at Haridwar. I’ll share the link to the full story because it’s extensive, and I won’t be able to do full justice as I speak now, but I’ll share it in summary.

The team in Haridwar had arranged for food to be delivered on that day. They had put all the food together, collected it, and arranged an auto rickshaw as they wanted to reach the ghats (steps leading into the water where people go to bathe) just before evening so that they could feed the sadhus dinner. As the team drove along the road, maybe a few kilometres from where they wanted to go, a Naga Baba appeared from the forest. (If you’ve ever seen pictures, these are the saints who are mainly naked with long matted hair, big beard, ash smeared all over them from head to toe, quite a sight.)

He shouted at the driver, “Where are you taking our food?” This would be a terrifying sight for me to see this Naga Baba appearing from the jungle, calling out and commanding. The team continued to drive, but the auto rickshaw just stopped. It completely stopped dead; it wouldn’t move as if it had completely broken down.

The Naga Baba shouted again, “Where are you taking our food? This food is for us!” The team said, “Okay, Let’s give them the food; we’re going to be feeding people anyway.” They followed the Naga Baba through the forest, and I think it was quite a long walk – through the darkness, through all the trees and plants and everything; they didn’t know where they were going. Soon they came to a clearing, and as it opened, more than eleven Naga Sadhus were sitting in a circle, waiting for the food. The team brought the food and began to serve. One Naga Baba said, “We know who sent this food. He’s very far away, but we know the one.”

They later said, “He is an Avadhoota; you’ll never understand him. He is beyond your comprehension and understanding. You do not know his grandeur.” After the team finished serving the food and gave their prostrations, they returned to their auto rickshaw, which automatically started working again.

I was reading this message (it was a text message) and looked up at Mohanji, smiling away. These incidents are always an opportunity for me to catch a tiny glimpse of something much bigger than my eyes can see. The only thing I can do in those situations is laugh because it sometimes brings relief when I’m focused on trivial matters and dealing with too much seriousness. Mohanji sits there in his chair, organizing these types of things.

Now I’ve even asked, “How is this possible?”

I feel I am handling something major, and here Mohanji, from his chair, is ensuring that he’s even feeding people in this forest in Haridwar. Now I could see why he was insistent that food should be served this year at the Kumbh Mela.

For me, these are some of the real insights which give a glimpse into who Mohanji is. I can’t say that I can understand them; as the saints said, we may never fully understand. These small insights are a little window into something much more profound and bigger than I see on the surface. I think it’s only through these experiences that revelations come about what Mohanji is doing and his stature because he never says anything himself. He’s always very humble and will never outwardly say that these things are being done, and I’ve seen that in many cases now.

Thinking back on some other experiences that I’ve read about or stories that I read from blogs, it’s almost as if you can thread together beads of moments when something has been shown. Nothing is outwardly told, but if you catch it, it’s almost like you can slowly put together a bigger picture of a dimension of Mohanji – for example, Ganeshananda Giri, who’s a great master that walked with Sai Baba, completely revered Mohanji. When he met Mohanji, Sai Baba told him that because of Mohanji’s past, he needed to be in suitable accommodation, so he arranged a five-star hotel for him. He’d never been into a five-star hotel himself. Mohanji didn’t need this, he would be happy sleeping on the floor somewhere, but Baba had told them to arrange this, which gives a flavour.

There was Vittal Babaji, a great Dattatreya pontiff who gave him the title Raja Yogi within five minutes of meeting Mohanji. He asked Mohanji to sit with him next to him on stage, which is unprecedented for a pontiff of that stature because there’s strict protocol. Mohanji has no protocols, but a lot of people in these traditions do. If you’re the pontiff, then you’re at the front; nobody sits beside you. People will sit behind, just like the Pope sits at the front others sit behind, but Mohanji was asked to sit next to Vittal Babaji.

It’s showing something, a clear message for me; these are precious opportunities and confirmations of something impossible to comprehend with the usual two forward-facing eyes.

An Eye Opening Mai-Tri Session

By Preeti Duggal

The world is reeling under the COVID pandemic. Millions are affected and many are dying. There is a huge scarcity of medicines, hospital beds, oxygen, and so on. There is chaos everywhere. The second wave has been like an explosion in India. 3 hundred thousand people are getting infected daily. The Maitri practitioners are also inundated with healing requests. Yesterday, I received a healing from a person from Delhi. A very well known figure in his profession who also works for our foundation. He had tested COVID positive and was worried about his wife and three children. He requested healing for his family. I immediately agreed.

To understand the degree of infection, we usually scan the aura of the person during the mai-tri session and look for patches that penetrate it. But what unfolded was truly an eye opener and amazing. In this session, I could see a white layer like a protection shield around the family that was saving them from the COVID effects. It looked strange because I had never seen it before. I prayed to Mohanji for clarity. I saw various animals (cows, dogs, cats, pigs, goats, and so on, encircling them and and giving them protection. These animals were absorbing all the effects of covid virus to keep the family safe. On further enquiry, it was disclosed that this family has an animal shelter on the outskirts of Delhi where they take care of abandoned, old and sick animals as their own family. Some are rescued from butchers. Some are disabled and diseased. All are well taken care of as family members. In fact, the wife knows each of them by name and the animals respond in kind to her loving attention.

It was revealed that these innocent and beautiful beings came forward to protect the family in return to what the family had done for them. This was overwhelming and I had tears rolling down my eyes. It was an eye opener. The infection level for this gentleman was very high but he has no symptoms except for low grade fever for thirty minutes three days ago. None of the other family members had any symptoms. Someone may ask why would they get infected in the first place if they were protected? Mohanji showed me that this person had fear of the pandemic which weakened his protection shield allowing the virus to enter the body easily. Now I realise why Mohanji stresses on connection to Mother Earth and its beings, and doing annadaan (food donation) for the hungry and needy.

Our misplaced ego of superiority has completely detached us from Mother Nature and our fellow beings. We torture and butcher animals for the paltry pleasure of a few mins. These innocent ones cannot even complain about the heinous torture that they have been suffering at the hands of humans for years. Animals, forests, oceans, mountains – none have been spared by humans. It’s time to wake up and look into the mirror. Nature has turned the tables on us. The fear and pain we gave and still continue to give, to the beings is coming back to us as COVID. The isolation, pain, suffering felt by these he[pless beings for years is now being felt by us for the first time. We are forcibly confined to our homes just as we confined poor helpless beings in zoos for our entertainment. The virus is almost like nature’s vengeance that has shaken the entire human world. Have you wondered why none of the other beings are affected?

Mohanji has said that we have to start walking backwards. Connect with nature and start to respect other fellow beings. Think of becoming vegan or at least vegetarian so that we eat with awareness and ensure that our food is not the cause for another being’s pain or suffering. Imagine babies being snatched away from their mothers and kept hungry so we can consume that milk and milk products. I feel that if we lose this chance, we will be left with nothing for ourselves and the coming generations.

I thank Mohanji from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful experience.

On this apt occasion of Earth day. let’s pledge to do at least one good thing for Mother Nature and its beings everyday.

Miracle at Kumbh Mela 2021

By Soma Seal, Ammucare President, India

Annadaan – feeding hungry stomachs is beyond any boundaries of species, caste and creed. When one feeds hungry beings, purification happens. This is why Annadaan is considered as Mahadaan – a donation of the highest stature. Especially when done on certain auspicious occasions, Annadaan brings immense fulfilment.

In my role as President of Ammucare, I have been fortunate to be in the middle of continuous Annadaan for a long time. Especially since the onset of the Covid pandemic, I have witnessed and observed several miracles. I would like to share one such amazing incident that happened yesterday (19/4/2021) in Haridwar, the venue for this year’s Kumbh Mela festival.

With Mohanji’s guidance, Ammucare has organised daily feeding for the Sadhus (wandering saints) at the Kumbh Mela as this is a divine opportunity to serve. Especially with the challenges due to the Covid situation, doing this seva consistently has been a challenge; several hurdles have come up. However, our determination to continue this seva (service) has been strong since Mohanji explained the purpose of this seva in clear terms. The Kumbh Mela is a special occasion when several elevated saints, otherwise deep in their sadhana in the Himalayas and elsewhere, come down to mingle with the common folk and shower their blessings.

Mohanji also guided us on the right attitude to conduct this seva – “Serve everyone like you are serving a Royal or God. The food should be of the highest quality. The attitude should be of complete reverence and respect. You never know who could be receiving your food – it could be Sai Baba, Mahavatar Babaji or any other deity. Don’t be deceived by outward appearances. Thank everyone you are serving from the bottom of your heart.”

Thanks to the dedication of our local volunteers and our generous donors, we have been serving food to people for almost ten days now. I must especially call out the contributions of Savitri Chitrapu, our Ammucare coordinator, and Mr Vasudev Sharma (Sharmaji), the Ammucare coordinator on the ground in Haridwar, in enabling this noble seva. Whenever we have not been able to serve, we have arranged for food packets to be made and distributed to people at various locations in Haridwar. Within a week, our team had managed to serve over 1000 meals.

Once we started our Annadaan at Kumbh, Mohanji advised us to serve the Sadhus at Har Ki Pauri, the most auspicious bathing Ghat in Haridwar. He guided us that saints of the highest stature would tend to congregate there, and we should not miss the opportunity to serve them. However, as we started working on this, the government imposed a weekend lockdown, and our activities were delayed.

Yesterday (on 19th April 2021), it became possible for us to arrange for this Annadaan at Har Ki Pauri. Sharmaji and a few other volunteers prepared around 100 food packets and took an auto-rickshaw (three-wheeler) to deliver this to the Sadhus at Har Ki Pauri. Sharmaji narrates his experience below.

“It was about 6 pm and getting dark. Shortly before we were about to reach the Ghat, on a quiet and dark road, we spotted a Naga Sadhu by the roadside, next to a forest area; he was calling out to us ‘Hey, where are you taking the food; bring it to us. This food is for us.’ Not taking him seriously, we turned a deaf ear and continued on our journey. However, a few moments later, our auto-rickshaw stopped, and even when we tried to push it, it would not start again. We noticed that the Naga Sadhu had come close to our auto-rickshaw and was repeating what he said earlier, “Your auto will not move forward. Food which has been sent for us cannot go to Har Ki Pauri!”

By now, we realised that this call was not to be ignored. There was something electrifying about that person. So we parked the auto-rickshaw by the side of the road, took the food packets out and followed the Naga Sadhu into the forest. As we walked deeper into the jungle, it became darker, and suddenly, the few street lights went off too. Soon we saw a group of 11 Naga Sadhus gathered there! They were waiting for the feast! They were chanting and singing songs on Lord Shiva and Lord Dattatreya

We were totally mesmerised to witness this divine atmosphere. After offering prayers, we quickly served the food packets to all the Naga Sadhus there. We took care to offer the food with respect, and the sadhus blessed us as they accepted the food. Some of them even had second servings! While serving the food, I just mentioned to them that this Annadaan was happening with the guidance and advice of Guru Mohanji.

One of the Sadhus said, “He is an Avadhoota. You will never understand him. He is beyond your comprehension and understanding. You do not know his grandeur. We know your Guru is far away, but wherever you look, you will see him. He is everywhere. Yes, he will come to Haridwar next year. Good that the food has reached us.”

I had goosebumps after I heard the Sadhus speak such high praise about Mohanji! The Sadhu then asked, ‘Where is the dakshina?’ We immediately offered dakshina (respectful offering of money) to all the Sadhus. Then one of the Sadhus said, “Child, you give us dakshina today but remember it would reach someone by tomorrow. Hmm, the food was meant for us.”

After feeding the Sadhus, we walked back to our auto-rickshaw on the road. It was very dark by now, but we were in a different world altogether, still trying to assimilate this miraculous and divine experience. The experience was not yet over, though! As soon as we started the auto-rickshaw, it started immediately, without any further push or effort. The same auto had refused to move sometime back when we were in a hurry to reach Har ki Pauri! Just as it had stopped automatically, it started automatically too!

With absolute awe and contentment, we returned home safely with just one expression – Thank you, Mohanji, for giving us this opportunity.”

When Sharmaji narrated this incident to Savitri and me, I had goosebumps too. This place is not unknown to Sharmaji or the others, but no one had spotted these Naga Sadhus there before! In fact, Sharmaji and the team went to the same location today (20/4/21) to serve the Naga Sadhus again, but there was no trace of anyone there, just a few dogs in the vicinity.

I could only then think back to several other occasions where grace has made the toughest of sevas possible – be it Annadaan or disaster relief or clothing drives or so many other activities of Ammucare. It also served to remind me of a couple of important lessons:

  1. Like many others, I may not recognise or fathom Mohanji’s stature. However, statements about his stature and grandeur from a Naga Sadhu are a timely reminder that there is much that my eyes can’t see or my mind can’t process. After all, this saint has never met us before, and neither are we likely to see him again. He is a renunciate with no interest in the material world. So what motive could he have in describing Mohanji? Perhaps it was just to open our eyes to higher dimensions and piece together facets of Mohanji’s grand plan to raise the entire Earth’s vibrations.
  2. It gave me greater clarity as to why Mohanji gives certain directions. Time and again, I have seen that his directives often seem extremely challenging at the outset. But when we take the right steps with full faith, doors open, and the road ahead becomes clearer. After all, if I had not persevered with the effort to serve at Har Ki Pauri, this entire experience might have been lost to us. This additional clarity not only helps us serve better but, more importantly, helps us receive much more grace and blessings. Before I conclude, I would like to pose a few questions for your contemplation:
  • Why was the Naga sadhu waiting by the road, just when our vehicle was to pass by?
  • Why did he stop just our vehicle? How did he know us?
  • How did the Sadhu know that food was being taken in the auto (when it was not visible from outside, and certainly not from a distance)?
  • How did he say, “This food is not meant to go to Har Ki Pauri”, when we had not told him our plans
  • Why did the auto not move at that moment but moved easily later in the evening from that same spot?
  • How did the Sadhus recognise Mohanji? Or that he is far away? (Our coordinators had not told them that Mohanji was currently in Europe)
  • What made them describe Mohanji as an Avadhoota? Was it sheer chance that they were singing songs on Lord Dattatreya, the Tradition that Mohanji represents?
  • What did he mean by saying the dakshina would reach someone by tomorrow?
  • Who were these Masters? Where did they come from?
  • Why was nobody there today? Did they go somewhere else? Or did they vanish?

I have been thinking about this since yesterday. I came to the conclusion that these Sadhus were divine for sure, however unbelievable it might seem to my thinking mind. We have heard and seen that all the great Masters come for Kumbh ever since it began. I have experienced this in earlier Kumbh Melas (Nashik in 2015 and Prayagraj in 2019), and this experience was another confirmation of that experience. It was also a reminder that Mohanji is at the Kumbh Mela through us, and he is doing his work.

Do contemplate a little, and you will understand what we witnessed, and you will experience it too.

My deepest gratitude to Mohanji, for giving us this eye-opening experience.

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 8 – “An unexpected journey”

Man thinks, God directs! This was experienced by Shivani Sanganeria as a simple desire that she had was fulfilled by our beloved Parabrahma in the most unexpected way! Read on and enjoy how the desire was fulfilled through this story in Chapter 8 of Mohanji Sacharita.

Unexpected journey and communion with the Divine

By Shivani Sanganeria

I have known Baba (Mohanji) for the last 2 years, and my life has changed dramatically for the better. I have found my path, my guide and feel more connected to my soul.

One day while watching  Mohanji’s video on Shiva and Shivaratri, I decided to get a Shiva lingam (The lingam is the form symbol or the visible symbol of God, that which reminds us of the Omnipotent Lord, which is formless) for the auspicious day. I wanted to get it from Tarkeshwar, a well-known Shiva temple 2 hours away from Kolkata since I was planning to go there.

However, just days before Shivaratri, my husband had some work in Varanasi and asked me to join in as well.  I jumped at this fabulous opportunity to visit the holiest of all Shiva temples – Kashi Vishwanath and decided to get my Shiva lingam from there. I asked Mohanji mentally if it would be possible to meet Him there?  The answer was affirmative which I felt in my heart, and that made me more ecstatic.

On the auspicious day of Shivaratri, standing in front of Kashi-Vishwanath temple, I surrendered to Mohanji.  I hugged Nandi (the Bull-vehicle of Lord Shiva) tightly outside the sanctum and was overtaken with an intense feeling of love and bliss.  As I stepped inside the sanctum, I was overwhelmed with emotions, love for all, and bliss once again.  With Mohanji’s grace, all this was possible. After the beautiful darshan, I was also able to purchase a Shiva lingam.

One more event took me by surprise on this trip! My husband and I decided to go to Prayagraj for a dip in the Triveni Sangam (confluence of three rivers), which was completely unplanned.  What more could I ask for on this auspicious day? It was beyond my wildest dreams!!! I kept looking for Mohanji throughout the trip but could not find Him.

While returning, I silently asked Him that He did not meet me as promised, and voila! I got a reply. In that silent moment, it struck me that He did meet me.  He is Kashi Vishwanath, He is Shiva!

mohanji-art-by-zoran

I was again flooded with the beautiful feeling of love and bliss that I had during the darshan of the Shiva lingam at Kashi Vishwanath Temple.  I also remembered the lines from the Mohanji aarati, “Vishwanath dharate hain dhyan, sharan hain tumhari” (Lord of the Universe, who is immersed in deep meditation, we surrender to you).

I now realize that He has not only shown me the path, He is the path and He is also the destination.

Words are not enough to express how I feel. Love you always Mohanji.

With total gratitude at your lotus feet.

Shiva is beyond explanation, notion, understanding, or even awareness. Shiva is The Beyond. It has no comparisons, it has no boundaries, it is beyond dimensions. It is an experience that the experiencer dissolves completely into.
It is Shiva.” – Mohanji

It feels like I am back home

By Ruchika Gandhi

The Kumbh is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, hence it is not sheer coincidence if a person gets to be at the Sangam, during two consecutive months with our beloved Parabrahma. This is exactly what happened to Ruchika Gandhi and she shares her beautiful experience of being with Mohanji a second time in February at the Kumbh 2019! Mohanji  knows the innermost desire of each of His devotees and in His casual way, fulfilled Ruchika’s desire, and also cleared a lot of karmas through His blessings.

With His beautiful eyes bright and twinkling; Mohanji said, “Come again for the dip if you can.” Hearing these words, my soul firmly decided to make it to the Kumbh again….. Mohanji meant it  seriously, but with all humility, He said, “I am only suggesting.” Upon hearing this suggestion, I wondered how to ask for holidays again at work. Somewhere that guilt factor was playing around in my mind.

After coming back from the Khumb in January 2019, I prepared myself mentally and surrendered at Mohanji’s lotus feet to bless me with the courage to speak about taking leave again. With His grace, one fine day, the decision was made and I finally dropped a message to my boss saying that I needed two days off in February. He responded, “OK, go ahead, but take care of important tasks before leaving.” I took a deep breath…… and was very happy and peaceful that my holiday was approved.

With each passing day, I was eagerly waiting to  take part in the holy pilgrimage once again. Days went on and finally the day arrived for me to leave.  I was scheduled to leave on Feb 8th, but due to an unexpected event, I had to travel for a sudden official trip on Feb 7th.  My flight from Dehradun to Delhi was delayed by 3hrs and I reached home at 1:00am. However, despite the fatigue, I packed my luggage for the Kumbh, as soon as I arrived.

The next morning, I was charged with fresh energy with no sign of fatigue. Only gratitude and love poured out for my beloved Mohanji.  With no expectations and a feeling of emptiness,  I was blank, such was the power and blessing of Kumbh’s calling.

After bathing, I went to the terrace to do Surya pranaams (Sun Salutations). I thanked the Lord for giving me this beautiful opportunity and decided to feed the birds as well. I filled up a bowl with bajra (pearl millet) and water for the birds and bowed and thanked them too. Just as I started to pray, a jet-black crow which I had never seen before arrived and made some noise.  Deep inside, I knew it was a blessing to feed a crow. However, I didn’t know the significance. A few pigeons and parrots also visited that day to enjoy the morning meal.

As I was getting ready, my sister messaged me to get some bread and cheese if possible.  I thought, “OK.” Later, as I went down to catch the cab, I also took some bread and milk to leave in a bowl which I kept outside my apartment to feed the animals.  As I was getting the food ready, I was also chanting the Mai-Tri Healing mantra.  Just then, some dogs arrived to enjoy their meal.  It was a divine moment filled with love, grace and blessings.  What a way to start my Kumbh pilgrimage.

On the way to the airport, I withdrew some money from the ATM.  It only released big notes of 2000 rupees.  I asked the driver to make a quick stop at a store, but wondered who will give me bread and cheese with these big notes.  Once inside the store, I got the supplies and told the shop keeper that I will require some change.  At first he refused, but when I gave him an apologetic smile, he paused for a while and said, “You take it.” This was only possible due to His grace.  Pilgrims are never refused anything and the whole cosmos comes together to take you on the  pilgrimage.

An interesting event occurred when I arrived at the self-check-in at the airport.  I saw a YSS (Yagoda Satsanga Society) monk standing at the next counter. I felt it was all my beloved Guru’s leela (play) and He was there to bless me in disguise. With the sequence of events that took place from early morning till the arrival at the airport, I could feel Mohanji’s love and grace pouring in. It filled me with so much love and gratitude.

Mohanji

Once I reached Varanasi, I called for a cab driver and started my journey to Allahabad. I never felt any fear of being alone in my journey, as Mohanji was by my side throughout. During the car ride, I had only one thought in my mind.  I wanted to buy some jaggery from Varanasi and have it blessed by Mohanji to later serve it during seva on His birthday.  With this sole thought in my mind, I requested the driver to make a quick stop. He wasn’t sure whether we will find it, but he was co-operative enough to make multiple stops on the way.  Finally, after some time, we were able to locate a shop which provided me  with jaggery.  It was so perfect!

The congestion of the city was visible, but the driver drove peacefully all the way.  Hours passed quickly and finally I was dropped off at the Parmarth camp. I didn’t expect the day to flow so smoothly, but Mohanji made it all very comforting. As I was getting off the cab, someone reached out to me and asked for a blanket. I didn’t know how to respond as I had no blanket.  I avoid giving money, so I moved into the ashram, but the feeling of not doing something for that person was etched in my mind.

Once inside, I felt like I was back home  in familiar settings, the aura and the feel of the holy land was just amazing and heart-warming. I also got to meet other participants one by one with great smiles on their faces and got lovely hugs as well.

There was a satsang scheduled for the same evening. The hall was all set and Mohanji arrived. I got myself settled in the front of the group. I didn’t get a chance to meet or hug Mohanji, but His empowering words were deep as always. Our soul’s strong urge for liberation had brought us all together at the Kumbh.  Each word was entering gradually into my system. A dip was planned on the auspicious day of Vasant Panchami (arrival of spring). I felt so fortunate that I was at the holy land of the Kumbh again in the presence of our beloved Mohanji, as well as with the other powerful beings who come in disguise to bless us on the path of liberation.  These beings are beyond the recognition of human eyes and their contribution to the planet in liberating millions/trillions of souls is unmatchable.  My heart was overwhelmed with gratitude and love. Tears flooded my eyes and I felt so blessed to be present during this event…I hardly slept that night.  Thoughts of being blessed overwhelmed me.

There was one problem that bothered me a bit.  I knew my menses was going to start soon as it was also the case in January and I missed my dip.  I didn’t want it to happen again, so I prayed with all humility to make this dip possible.  The next day, I was busy with the Gurulight team with packing stuff for the participants.  Each moment was fun-filled and charged with positivity, but my body was giving me signals of the approaching menses.  Once again, I surrendered with total faith at Mohanji’s feet and my beloved divine Mother. Later in the day, I went outside the ashram to do some food seva and came back to take a nap.  The POP session and chanting in the evening was very powerful as it took me to a different space for 40 minutes.  During the energy transfer, I felt different lights in my Ajna (third eye) chakra.

Finally, the big day arrived…

I only slept for an hour in the morning and woke up early to do chants, meditation and pranaams to Lord Surya, thanking him for giving me another opportunity to witness this beautiful and holy Sangam once again.

kumbh devotees

With Kumbh T-shirts, all the M family members got ready for the dip.  Most of the members went ahead, but my sister, Preeti Gopalarathnam di (sister) and I waited to seek Mohanji’s blessings before proceeding.  Miraculously, my sister and I got to sit in Mohanji’s boat.  When we are empty inside, grace flows unconditionally.

I told Mohanji about the crow that I saw on the roof when I began my journey. With clarity and promptness, He said, “That was your father and he came to bless you.” I fell silent at that moment and felt deep gratitude for my dad for being there.  Once again, my eyes welled up and tears flowed automatically.

The whole event was coordinated and thoughtfully planned.  Madhu’s strategy to assemble all 8 boats at one place in the middle of the river and proceeding together was an amazing idea.  Managing 80 people with a small Gurulight team and volunteers is quite a demanding task, but with Mohanji’s grace and guidance all went through smoothly.

As we assembled near the Sangam (confluence of three rivers), Mohanji proceeded first to take His dips, then all the devotees followed. That moment was intense, as Mohanji prayed deeply and took flat dips in the Sangam thrice. Then the abhishekam (pouring water) happened.  Mohanji poured sacred water on each one of us thrice, in some cases more than three times. This held a deep significance and I was fully present in the moment, soaking in the divine energy. When my turn was over, I moved ahead to take dips for myself, my family, my ancestors, and gurus.

Mohanji Abhisekh

Later, we all assembled together again and made a circle with Mohanji  in the middle, and we chanted the Mohanji Gayatri with deep devotion and reverence.  With the  group chanting, the whole energy and aura felt like we were in the divine, sacred womb of the three rivers (Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati). Ah… it was a sight to behold…and to dissolve in. I felt light, happy and melted in that divine moment. It was all unfathomable and only made possible with Mohanji’s love and grace.

After the dips, we all settled into our boats. On the way back, Mohanji asked my sister Sonia, “Why are you not singing?” Upon hearing Him, she began to sing and I joined her too, but my throat choked and I could not hold my tears anymore.  They flowed in a complete state of gratitude for my beloved guru Mohanji, all other gurus and most importantly, my dad who had passed away in 2017.

The next day, I had to leave for Varanasi to catch my flight and was advised by Mamu ji to leave 6 hours early to avoid any traffic situations. Patiently, he arranged for a cab on the 10th of Feb, when there was nothing available with the agents, as everything was booked.

I changed, packed my luggage and tried to meet some of the devotees. All looked bright, fresh and joyful. Sacred Sangam Magic was visible in everyone’s eyes. I even got to spend some moments with Mohanji. Like a father, He asked, “Did you eat anything?” When I said no, He promptly gave me papaya and then He offered me some pomegranate. He was feeding me with so much love while I talked and pressed His feet. I didn’t feel like leaving at  that moment, but He said, “I know how you feel, but you go now.” I felt as if I was already home, where I had wanted to be for ages.  It was a very difficult moment and I have no words to describe the feeling except that my heart was filled with gratitude, love and complete oneness.

During the departure from the ashram, Mamu ji was there to see me off and to make sure that I caught the cab, as it was parked quite faraway. I walked and walked with my luggage up to 3kms or more.  With the Mohanji Gayatri chant running in my mind, the walk became effortless. Finally, I reached the point where the cab was parked. I boarded and felt complete silence throughout the journey, absorbing and reflecting on all the beautiful moments internally.

On the way to the airport, I wanted to have a cup of tea and thought if I get a chance – I would like to feed a dog to make this journey complete. As we stopped for chai (tea), from nowhere, a black dog arrived suddenly. I immediately got a cup of milk from the shopkeeper and fed the dog.  He came and went away immediately after having the milk. My heart was filled with immense gratitude once again for such beauty in that moment… It was all a divine play.

Deep love and gratitude to all!!

Deep Reverence, Acceptance & Silence

By Ruchika Gandhi

Kumbh Mela 2019!!

Little did I know about this auspicious event earlier! Heard its reference, when I had a chance to visit Badrinath in 2018, one of the most special pilgrimages I have ever done so far. The year 2018 had been the toughest phase of my life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually too. I went through multiple health issues with extreme pain all over my body, no energy and no strength, along with deep depression. All this went on for many, many months. With so many health issues, I didn’t want to spoil the pilgrimage for others. So I was doubtful about making the trip to Badrinath. Hence I asked my sister to check if it was advisable to travel with this health condition up the hills and back last year. Mohanji answered to the call – “Let her come.” I just surrendered to the command completely and left for the pilgrimage. I felt that He knows what is best for me. That trip had been just overwhelming for me at all levels. No words can describe what it means to me and how it has changed me. I have got a new lease of life. It’s the same body but with new life. Master’s grace flows unconditionally, and this life is now for a higher purpose – to serve my beloved Master and His creation selflessly.

Visiting Kumbh had been a wish sitting inside me somewhere. Although I was not aware of its significance, I only knew that this was something big and special. My family left for Benaras (a divine abode) on Jan 11th 2019. My family had been to this holy city earlier but I missed the chance then. I heard about the city’s tales and impressions from my sister and mother and realised that I had missed something great owing to my health conditions. I never thought that Kumbh would happen so soon, that too in this lifetime itself. It was made possible only through Mohanji’s grace. Bags were packed and we were ready to board the flight at 8:00am. As soon as we landed and packed ourselves into a private taxi, we got to meet an amazing driver who narrated the significance of Kashi, Sarnath, Bhairav and Sankat Mochan (Hindu temples). While driving, he started to chant some mantras and I could resonate with those chants, although I did not know the literal meaning. I felt some connection with those strange mantras. The kind driver offered to take us to all the temples and try to cover as much as possible in one day. He didn’t care for anything, either food or his old age, but was totally committed. The first spot we visited was the Statue of the Standing Buddha in Sarnath in a beautiful garden.

Soon, we moved out of the garden and stood near a nariyal paani (coconut water) cart. I was busy looking at the small stalls all around while everyone else had their nariyal pani. Once they were done, I was offered one. While I was drinking, I noticed an old lady in tattered clothes along with her potli (a small pouch) near us. When I offered a tender coconut to her, I was told that she had been offered it already. When I asked the old woman if she would like to have some sugarcane juice, she spontaneously agreed with a smile. She took out the glass from her potli, filled it with what the vendor gave her and drank it gradually. We moved ahead and started walking. But I felt something inside and I turned to offer my pranaams to her. From a distance, she smiled and did pranaams too. In my heart I felt she was Mother Divine (Tara Maa) who had come in this form to bless us. It was a touching moment for me!

From there, we moved on to Sarnath temple, known as Lord Buddha’s abode (Vishnu Avatar), a sacred place where Lord Buddha’s ashes are kept. My sister Pooja asked the priest to bless the entire Gandhi family & Keta Shah family with those ashes. The priest humbly agreed and ashes were touched on our heads with some mantras. What a blessing it was! It was not part of our itinerary at all.

After a little break at the hotel, and lunch at 5:00pm, we moved on to have darshan of Lord Shiva at Kashi Vishwanath temple. The city was bustling with people everywhere as millions were visiting the place for the Kumbh. There were long queues to the main temple, but our driver made us stop in between, at a shop where we left our shoes and bags and we were advised to take care of our purses etc. Two people escorted us to the inside of the temple and we had a quick darshan amidst the crowd. In a split second, we were in and out of the temple. I felt I didn’t have proper darshan although I poured jal (water) on the Shivalinga. As we were moving out, we got to bow down peacefully at other deities of Ma Annapurna and Lord Hanuman. By the end of it, we were all tired physically as it was a long day. We had left Delhi at 6:30am and finally reached the hotel by 11:00pm. The driver was kind enough to take us to a place for a simple meal.

We decided to leave early the next day to avoid the crowd and long queues. Feeding animals, such as dogs, cows and birds is something that I love to do. At the back of my mind, this thought always lingers and I keep looking for an opportunity to feed them. I was thinking whether this would be possible during this trip.

The hotel arranged for two autos for Bhairav Nath temple the next morning (Jan 12th) and in 15 minutes we reached the temple. As we moved closer to the temple to buy a basket of flowers and oil, deep peace and calmness dawned on me. The Mohanji Gayatri and Om Sairam were playing continuously in my mind. I stepped into the temple and had a beautiful darshan. I felt something familiar stirring within, looking at the big eyes of Lord Bhairav Nath and other deities inside the temple. As we came out to return the empty basket, I noticed 3-4 dogs were wandering near the sweet shop. I think my Master heard my inner voice. But this time, it was unique as not only I but my sisters (including Keta Shah) also joined me in feeding the dogs. I felt so happy. I know it is all His doing; we are just mere instruments through whom the seva happens. This journey had one thing common from beginning to end – feeding dogs. It was a delight to find them and serve them with milk.

The next stop was at the Sankat Mochan (Hanumanji) temple. It is said that Hanumanji was seen on a tree here by a gardener. The beautiful idol inside the temple emerged on its own, not created by human beings. While we were in an auto rickshaw, my sister mentioned that Lahiri Mahasaya had lived in Benaras and we were hoping for a chance to visit the Master’s holy place that day. Miracle! Suddenly on the way, we found a big sign board with the name Lahiri Mahasaya Lane. It was a narrow lane; we were not sure how to locate the house. We just kept walking down the narrow lane. A Hanumanji temple was seen while we were searching for the house. I prayed deeply within for a clue to guide us to our beloved Master’s home when we came upon a man cleaning the surroundings. When we asked him about Lahiri Mahasaya’s home, he promptly replied that it was close by and offered to take us. God had sent us a guide! The great Master’s house remains locked throughout the year and it’s only opened on the auspicious Guru Purnima day. We bowed down in front of the door in deep reverence and gratefulness. We meditated there for a while and chanted. Our hearts were filled with utter joy and bliss.

Then our autos moved towards Sankat Mochan temple. We had a beautiful darshan of Hanumanji there. I prostrated on behalf of our beloved Deva Mohanji first and thanked Hanumanji for making us visit the temple. I prayed silently from within. A silent monkey was seen on top of the roof all alone, I went closer and offered a banana. He happily came down to take it. After the darshan, we fed more monkeys there in the temple premises. The whole environment was serene and blissful. Right opposite the Sankat Mochan temple, there was a Ram, Sita & Laxman temple where devotees were chanting. We joined in too.

Finally our drive to Allahabad began the next day (Jan 13th). Priti Rupee joined us at the hotel and we had to pick up Madhusudan from the airport. We all moved together in two different cars. The journey was tedious as it took us 5-6 hours to reach the city. The whole road was choked to the brim and the driver smartly drove through narrow lanes and inside the villages to reach the main road. The main road was jam packed too with big trucks, with no breathing space. The driver continued on and after few hours we reached a clear road with no congestion.

We finally arrived at the Kumbh! We were dropped off at the site where the structure was set up. It was so huge. Sitting inside the car, moving my head from left to right, I could feel the vastness of the set up and had a panaromic view of the whole architecture around it. My sister and mother mentioned that it was a barren land earlier and now it was a whole bustling city. Private vehicles were not allowed to go inside the Kumbh area, so we were dropped off at a point with our bags. I took my mom and aunty (Keta Shah’s mother) in a battery rickshaw, while all other members walked. Finally on locating the right spot, I got down and walked ahead to find Parmarth Niketan camp.

We had imagined a temporary set up with basic tents and amenities. But when we arrived, we were surprised to see the separate temporary quarters set up with all the basic facilities in place. Everyone settled in gradually into their rooms. Winter was at its peak there. I was eagerly looking forward to meeting our beloved Father Mohanji the next day. I woke up early (4:30am), completed Mai- Tri Healing chanting and meditated. I had a bath and breakfast and waited for instructions.

Finally we got to meet Mohanji! To be in the physical presence of a Master of His stature is a big blessing. He shared the holiness and significance of the Kumbh and said that without the blessings of our ancestors and Gods, and Guru’s grace, it won’t be possible for us to be there. He stressed a lot on ancestors’ blessings and their role. As Mohanji spoke to us, I felt each word entering into my being one by one, as if my soul had received something it had desired for many lifetimes.

I felt a deep peace and calmness all over again. Next morning (Jan 14th), we all got ready to visit the Hanumanji temple. The boat ride to the other side of the shore was amazing and soothing. I enjoyed feeding the birds on the way. The temple was crowded, but we still managed to have a beautiful darshan (here Hanumanji can be seen lying down in a resting position).

I got a chance to spend some moments with Dr. Wasir and got to hear about his Kailash pilgrimage experience. “Have no expectations while going there and no expectations after coming back” were his words. “You will experience a state of inner silence, no thoughts.” These words were powerful enough for anyone to realise the importance of this pilgrimage. Be in a state of total surrender and let the Master take charge of you.

I knew that my menses would start any time soon, which meant no dip in the holy sangam of the three rivers – Ganga, Yamuna & Saraswati. I surrendered completely at Mohanji’s lotus feet. The day for the dip arrived and I was down with my periods. Due to the extreme cold, I would wake up early and before sleeping I used to pray to enable me to wake up during the Brahma Muhurat (3-6am). I didn’t want to lose this precious time and space for chanting and meditation. Early hours were peaceful for both these things and I enjoyed doing it.

We all followed Mohanji for Shahi Snan day, attended the homa before the snan (dip) wherein Swami Chidanandji also joined us. The group chanting of Maha Mrityunja Mantra at the holy homa was sacred and divine. We took the blessings of the Lords and moved ahead for the holy snan in the boats.

Pilgrims participated in river cleaning before boarding the boats, a beautiful way to thank our beloved rivers for flowing seamlessly. The beauty of the scared rivers was felt strongly as millions took dips on the first day itself. From a distance, Keta Shah and I were watching Mohanji entering the sangam (where the 3 sacred rivers meet), bowing to them, to the sun and finally dipping into the rivers with a big smile. Wow! What a blessing to be a part of this divine sight. One by one, the other pilgrims also took dips.

Beautiful Abhishekam was done by all, by pouring the sacred river water on Mohanji and Mohanji did the same for each pilgrim. A sight to behold!! While all this was happening, I could feel the presence of a beautiful energy and of divine beings and ancestors, as if blessings were being showered upon all of us. Tears flowed and I wanted to just sink into this moment forever. As I closed my eyes, I felt as if it was Lord Shiva’s Abhishekam taking place.

It was touching to take a special dip in the boat itself (Mohanji’s drenched dhoti was rinsed on me and Keta Shah). It was a magical moment, totally out of the blue! A special blessing on us! I poured a little water on myself – in my name, that of my ancestors, Masters & Sai Deva. Words fall short to express the gratitude for such a blissful moment.

With cold waves and very little sun, it was a sight to see everyone drenched in their wet clothes, shivering but happy and filled with gratitude, peace and bliss. We all headed back to the ashram immediately after the snan.

Afternoon was well spent under the sun, remembering those moments and waiting for the next meeting with Mohanji. I was joined by Reena Di in the afternoon and we decided to do food seva. Without any hassles, food was arranged from outside the camp, through local vendors. We fed a cow and a few people with bread, pakoras and poori, choley. Tranquility and deep joy was felt, as the seva was happening through us. No wish was left unfulfilled on this holy land. All thoughts were heard and our Master was taking care of everything.

On Shahi Snan day, Mohanji had sprained His back. So we were asked to attend the Ganga aarati and satsang. After a satvic dinner, I was still hopeful of some news about Mohanji and for His darshan. Opportunity opened again and Mohanji gave us darshan despite being in deep pain (Mohanji explained that He took over the karma of someone who met with a severe car accident, and had responded to a child’s prayer). Mohanji is omnipresent, working for many in different dimensions. This is our beloved Master, filled with unconditional grace, love, peace and humility. Physical pain will not deter Him from answering any seeker’s prayers, meetings or spending time with true seekers. Mohanji operates from higher energy levels; He doesn’t need a physical body to talk to us. Connecting to His consciousness will open the gates to higher realms and eventual dissolution.

We could spend hours with Mohanji, but He was in deep pain. At the back of my mind, I had a wish somewhere to be able to serve my Master by pressing His feet. I had a chance to do this earlier in Badrinath. As the group settled into Mohanji‘s room and I got to sit next to His feet, I started massaging Mohanji’s feet and legs. I felt as if I was melting in His unconditional love, purity and vastness. It was another wish heard and fulfilled J. Out of pure love and purity in my heart, this was a little wish I had, for which my Master blessed me unconditionally and allowed it to happen during the satsang.

In my heart I know, to serve the Master is to serve creation in any form, in any capacity. Surrender fully at the Master’s lotus feet. He will take care of everything. You just keep walking, and leave the rest in the Master’s hand. It feels like I am truly living now and having a meaningful existence with complete acceptance and reverence! Gratitude at your lotus feet Mohanji…. Lots of love and only love.

It is not just about meditations…. It is not just about satsangs…. It is just about being in the moment and accepting and experiencing the way life happens. Thinking of the Master night and day and surrendering with utter devotion, love, faith and patience has become a way of life now.

Deep Love & Gratitude to Mohanji!

Thank you Madhu, Preeti Di & Rajesh for being around and taking care of everyone…

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 5, February 2019

Higher than the highest. Larger than the largest. Bigger than the biggest. Harder than the hardest. Deeper than the deepest. Smoother than the smoothest. Heavier than the heaviest. Lighter than the lightest. Still beyond stillness. Bliss beyond happiness. Detached beyond perfection. Unknown and unknowable to human mind-matter (mind, ego, intellect), eternally liberated exists the REAL one, the unfathomable SHIVA. — Mohanji

Every disciple’s end goal is absolute dissolution, merging completely with Shiva. One of the most purest path to achieve this is through bhakti yoga and absolute surrender to Guru. In absolute surrender, there is no existence except that of the Guru. However, it is not easy being with a Guru, a living master. Being with the Guru, the disciple burns a lot of samskaras every moment, along with burning the ego, burning the intellect, burning the entire mind matter. When the existence of the disciple is completely burnt, he turns into pure ash. That’s when Shiva wears the ash and thus the disciple merges completely with the Guru, the Adi Guru – Shiva!

While being on this path of complete mergence with Shiva, through the pure connection with Mohanji’s consciousness, devotees feel the sanctity and purity of Shiva. Their awareness of Mohanji’s immense grace makes them realise the divine truth behind each experience taking them a step forward on the path of complete annihilation – mergence with Shiva!

For this month’s Mohanji Satcharita we are bringing out 9 stories that highlights Mohanji’s divine grace. We are grouping these 9 stories into two categories:

  • Divine Healing & Protection

  • Divine Leela (play)

Hope you enjoy reading these 9 stories which are shared with utmost sincerity and honesty by devotees across the globe. We believe that while reading these stories, every reader will also feel the vibrations that will allow them to relive the same experiences too.

So here are the stories of Mohanji’s grace.

Divine Healing & Protection

Mohanji says, “Surrender your thoughts, words and actions at the feet of your Sathguru, whoever it is, with deep faith and belief that he represents the Supreme Father, Parabrahma. Do good to the world and your fellow beings, so that you live the teachings of your Guru. Express your Guru in your daily life. Be one with your Guru. Be one with His consciousness.”

Below are three sincere testimonials from devotees who have experienced that with faith and love in their Guru or God, amazing grace and protection is received.

1. Inner Cleanse Through Mai Tri – Ami, South Africa

I was at Dubai International Airport. It was a long wait for my connection to Bengaluru. I was on my way to the Acharya Training Programme – Level 1. I said to myself, “Great! Wi-Fi is available. Finally a quiet moment to write down and widely share my awesome experience with Mai-Tri healing!”

Mai tri healing.png
Divine Healing through Mohanji’s grace

I’ve already shared my experience verbally with many around me, but it’s important to write it down too, as memory has its peculiar drawbacks.

I had enlisted for the Acharya Training and had a bee in my bonnet about intensely cleansing and purifying myself on gross and subtle levels, in preparation for the training. Heavy energies had made themselves very comfortable within my body for a very long time. I decided that I had carried them long enough. They had to go, now! I was really fired up about cleaning up and clearing out – all of it! With these thoughts in my mind, I set up a series of Mai-Tri sessions with Sjarn Day Mansoor.

Mai Tri Healing : “Removal of the blockages is only meant to facilitate the actual primary purpose of receiving healing, which is to grow spiritually and eventually merge with the Divine. The main reason for healing is to recognize who you truly are and to identify yourself with the Divinity that you intrinsically and truly are.”

My first healing session was a brief one and was during our South Africa Midlands Retreat in November 2018 with Mohanji. On a physical level, I did not see much change. I had to wait for one long month for the next session. Sjarn had relocated to Durban from Johannesburg. Since I wanted continuity with one Mai Tri Healer, I made the trip to Durban. The second session too did not yield any obvious results. We planned the third and fourth sessions to be held during the summer, when she would come to Johannesburg for the summer holidays. It was during these sessions that I felt a significant transformation taking place. These were at the Mohanji Centre, Randburg.

Mohanji – When you have deep faith it can cut across karma and heal you

During the third session, I was literally out of my body for most of the healing. At the end of it, I asked Sjarn what had happened. She replied that it was very difficult for her to explain, because Mohanji had quantumly lifted away layers upon layers of stored karmic densities at once!!! She added that Mohanji worked with focussed laser intensity and had removed age-old layers of baggage and heaviness from the deepest levels, both gross and subtle.
When it came to my base chakra, I wonder how to express it; my Beloved Master swept out a heavily built, muscular male energy figure! Sjarn described him as having thick and bushy eyebrows. She said he gave her a funny look and also stared at Mohanji. Then he was whooshed up in a powerful column of White Light. Apparently my maternal grandmother had also dropped by and she seemed rather anxious. That concluded session three.

The best was yet to come. After session three, a thought came up about my right knee. I had a strong feeling that my knee was energetically bound. When I walked, my right leg was always almost half a step shorter than my left, as though it could not move forward.
So in session four, I made a request to Mohanji via Sjarn to break the lock on my right knee.
Mohanji did that. The effect was quick and also tangible, especially when I did kriya after that Mai-Tri healing session. Since my initial initiation into Kriya, I could not use my right heel for a specific Kriya posture. Kriya is secret and sacred, so I cannot describe the process in detail. However, I do wish to say that when I practised Kriya, a day after healing session four, I was overjoyed to find that my right knee was quite flexible. The most beautiful part, in my viewpoint was that for the very first time since my Kriya initiation, I was able to use, quite easily, my right heel as required for that specific posture in the Kriya process.

I’m deeply humbled and utterly grateful to Mohanji for the momentous healing taking place within my bodies through Mai-Tri; my deepest gratitude to Sjarn too for facilitating the healing sessions. I also find that the Kriya posture is getting easier to do with each session. Words fail to describe how monumental this change is for me. It’s my Mai-tri miracle.

I am thrilled to share my incredible experience on the Power of Mai-Tri Healing. All I can say is, “Thank You again my beloved Master Mohanji for the mighty power and blessings of the physically measurable Mai-Tri Healing I’ve experienced.”
Also of significance is the fact that I conclude writing my testimony in the flight, on my way to Bengaluru for the Acharya Training and during the powerful eclipse of January 21, 2019.

2. Healing Through Meditation : Rekha & Kishore from India

This is a testimonial from a couple of devotees who facilitated the POP meditation at the Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai on 13th January, 2019.

What appeared to be our regular POP meditation session was met with surprises as usual. The experiences that we have at this place always teach us not to take anything for granted. Just 8 people attended today’s session at the Cancer Institute. Two women (a mother and daughter) walked in early. As we spoke to them, they shared their experience of having attended a POP meditation 6 months back with us.  The young girl had been diagnosed then with 4th stage cancer and the doctors had given up hope. The tumour had spread from the intestines to her throat and she was administered chemo just to help her bear the pain and ease her difficulty in breathing. The mother and the daughter attended the POP meditation with immense faith and continued the meditation on returning home. They did it as a meditation focussing on their breathing. After 6 months, they were back for a check-up as she had a small tumour near her stomach.

The diagnosis has been that the lungs and throat are completely clear now to the surprise of the doctors.

They also felt cleansing was happening at a deep level and wanted to continue it as long as possible. The mother who once thought she would lose her daughter is so happy at the turn of events and has immense faith in her God. The daughter connects with Jesus and is at peace. She feels her breathing has improved and although she finds it difficult to breathe deeply, she is consistent in her practice and is positive that she will come out of this ordeal. They expressed their sincere gratitude for Mohanji.

We feel so blessed to be instruments in conducting this POP meditation and our hearts overflow with gratitude at our Guru’s leela.

Jai Mohanji!

3. Mohanji, The Compassion Incarnate! : Neelu, India

With utmost gratitude at my Master’s lotus feet, I would like to share how Mohanji saved my 11 year old son’s life and prevented a similar situation for me.

Mohanji on Faith in Guru

Last Saturday (2nd Feb), at about 9 pm, I got a call from Hyderabad that my maternal Aunt, who was closest to me from my mother’s side, had passed away. She had been suffering from an acute lung disease for a few years, but she was under Mohanji’s protection. I had been praying for her since I got connected to Mohanji 3 years ago.  At the end, her exit was smooth, without much pain due to His grace. I wanted to go to Hyderabad from Delhi to have a last look at her. My younger son and I went, leaving my elder son Sreeshu with his father. With His grace, air tickets were arranged quickly and I was to leave early in the morning of the 3rd. Sreeshu complained a lot because he was not accompanying me. It was the first time for him to be without me for a whole day. I somehow convinced him and went to Hyderabad. While I was attending to the last rites of my Aunt in Hyderabad on the 3rd, Sreeshu suddenly developed an illness; he vomited, then felt very drowsy and stopped taking food. He was just lying on the bed and wasn’t talking much.

When his father called, I thought it was just a normal stomach infection and fever, which would sort itself out in a day and we decided to take him to our family doctor the next day. I just asked Mohanji to look after him till I return, as I had my return flight on the 4th evening. And He did really look after Sreeshu well.

On the 4th morning, he was not better and when he was shown to the doctor, the doctor conducted some preliminary tests, and said he was afraid Sreeshu might be having Swine flu symptoms. Sreeshu also had very low oxygen saturation levels, almost 60%. His nails were also turning blue; suggesting lack of oxygen in his blood. Oxygen should be above 90%. Immediately he was shifted to the emergency care of a big hospital. While listening to all this in Hyderabad, I couldn’t believe this was happening. I asked Mohanji, “You were taking care of him, but what is this?” Still, I didn’t understand the seriousness of the situation and how Mohanji was taking care of my son, as I didn’t completely understand the importance of oxygen levels, at least the percentages. But after he was admitted to the emergency, and there when he was tested again, his blood saturation levels rose from 60% to 90% … Just like that, in half an hour. Then I understood it was Mohanji’s grace that saved my child from a serious issue. He was admitted into kids ICU and was put on IV fluids and medicines and was stable. But my parents and I were still very worried about him in Hyderabad. Also, I had a two and a half hour of flight journey with my little son, and I was to take a cab from the airport in the night at 9 pm to the hospital. That was the first time I was traveling alone in a cab at night, that too for 30 km or almost an hour and half.

Mohanji on gratitude

I surrendered everything to Mohanji and asked Him to take me safely to my son. The flight journey was smooth as my little kid didn’t make a mess, as he always does while flying. I got the cab, was praying to Mohanji incessantly during the whole drive. Whenever I closed my eyes, I could feel Mohanji sitting beside me.

I reached the hospital safely and met my son. He was very delighted to meet me. He was missing me a lot. Till then he was lying drowsily, but when I came, he was energised suddenly. I understood, as Mohanji was in me, His energy was working.

The whole night I sat beside him chanting and praying. The next day at 5 am, he got up and said, “Amma, I am feeling better now.” He was hungry. His functions were becoming normal, thanks to Mohanji, who graced us with this miracle. But still I was hoping that his final Swine flu result would come negative. I couldn’t understand that the ordeal was over, and even if the result was positive, he was becoming better. He had no fever, he was able to eat at least something of what he was given, and he was shifted to a normal room on the 5th evening.

That day, I started feeling feverish and was having body pains. I thought it was just due to lack of rest and continuous travelling and took some medicine. But the whole night of the 5th, I couldn’t sleep due to the fever and body aches. The next day, Sreeshu’s final report came and it was positive. I was very worried. I thought there would be more hospitalisation. But the doctor said as he is feeling good, we can go home and continue the medicine at home. When I was checked up for my condition, I was also under suspicion for that disease, and I was worried a lot again, because it would be very difficult to look after my kids if I got admitted into the hospital. Bur strangely they said I can continue the treatment at my home and they didn’t even bother to test me further. They took for granted that I was positive for that disease. But I was still so scared and worried and I messaged Mohanji. He replied that He has already reduced the intensity of my disease and asked me to relax. After this wonderful reassurance, I really did relax. Then did I understand how He had averted so much of the seriousness and pain for my son and I, protected both of us as a mother would do to her small babies.  He has given us a fresh life; we owe our every breath to Him.

Now my son is ok. He can join school from the 14th of Feb. I am still going through a lot of weakness, but He is helping me do the needful to my family and to Mohanji’s mission.

Only by His Grace, I am still able to create and post 8 daily quote posters on India page, manage other postings on that page, and also on two other country pages. Till now, I didn’t miss even a single day in spite of all these turbulences. Just the will is mine; He shows me the time, space and provides me the energy to do my job. If you take one step, He takes you 100 steps forward. I hope and wish earnestly, that I will serve Him like this till my last breath.

Koti koti pranaam at your lotus feet, my Maalik.

In eternal gratitude always.

4. ‘Love’ly Healing : Revathy, India

I would like to share my daughter’s and my experience during a Mai-Tri healing session. On 13th January, with blessings from Guru Mohanji, I gave healing to my daughter Prajna, who is 11 years old. Initially, she was a little confused about the healing process as she was not aware of it. She had a lot of questions such as ‘how long will it take, what will happen if I open my eyes accidentally during meditation.’ I assured her that the healing is done by Mohanji and I am just a humble instrument. Once she was convinced, we both got ready and lit the lamp in front of Mohanji’s photo. I commenced the healing. As soon as I put my hands over her head, I felt immense energy flowing through my hands and I didn’t feel like moving my hands any further. I felt her tears rolling down, while the process continued. There didn’t seem to be any obstruction or heaviness. At the end of the powerful session, we both hugged each other. She hugged me so tightly and said “Amma, Mohanji is hugging me. This is not you; I can feel Mohanji hugging me.” Hearing this, I too felt overjoyed and tears started rolling down my cheeks. We were in total bliss for the next few minutes.

Then she shared that she saw a beautiful ball of light during the healing. The ball was transparent and light was coming from it. She also felt golden lights coming from the edges of the ball. She was so happy after doing the healing and she understood very well that it is only through Mohanji’s grace that she is healed completely.

Divine Grace

Divine Grace_Mohanji on awareness

“I wish I could have a cup of hot soup now!”  “I wish I could be with Mohanji.” Similar wishes run through our minds each day. We take these to be ordinary occurrences and do not pay much attention to it. Many times these wishes (big or small) are granted too! In this chapter, the devotees have shared some wish fulfillment ranging from the ordinary to the extra ordinary. These throw light on the various dimensions of our Master, Brahmarishi Mohanji. Our Parabrahma not only listens to our words and requests, He reads our thoughts irrespective of the distance and fulfills them immediately. Distance is never a problem for Him. Physically, He may get someone to fulfill it or He may travel astrally to be with the devotee and satisfy the wish. There is not a single place where He is not present and listening.

Every prayer, every wish is answered in various ways. Some may appear very subtle while others are very obvious. What we need to do as devotees is to be aware and conscious of our prayers and wishes and its gratification.

Read on and enjoy the miraculous ways Mohanji performs to fulfill the wishes of His devotees. It could be something as ordinary as eating a papad, a child’s innocent wish of watching TV or a higher wish of getting darshan.

5. My Kalpavriksh – Mohanji: Sreeja Ranjit, Kerala, India

I woke up to the most beautiful day of my life-19/1/19 which I will cherish for ever. I feel very fortunate to share an experience in my life where our beloved Guruji ensured He is forever with us…

Mohanji_with Sreeja

My husband had suddenly landed a job in Ethiopia and was scheduled to leave by the middle of January 2019. It was too sudden, hence my plans to be in Palakkad during Mohanji’s visit in December could not materialise. We had less than a month to go with a huge pile of things to take care of; including some promised visits with family and house construction work to be completed in a speedy manner. Amidst this chaos, I was happy we were meeting Mohanji at the Satsang in Thrissur on 27th December, 2018. Guruji showered his unconditional love on us and ensured that our forth coming visit to Shirdi was taken care of without any hassles. My son Rahul is deeply connected to Mohanji but was meeting Him for the first time. He was a bit nervous meeting Mohanji, but Mohanji’s assurance that “I will always be with you” made him feel overwhelmed with happiness.

The sad part was that we had to go back soon and I missed all the other days I could have spent in Mohanji’s physical presence. Seeing all the pictures on Facebook made me sad but I consoled myself thinking that Mohanji always says, “Do your duty.” Then I came to know that Mohanji would be coming back again for the 5th pranaprathishta celebrations at Shirdi temple, Palakkad  for three days (18th,19th  and 20th) in January. Unfortunately, the dates coincided with my husband leaving for Ethiopia and a family grihapravesham (house warming) in my husband’s house. I was feeling extremely low thinking about the dates clashing with my personal events.

With such sad thoughts, on 18th January, I started reading Subhasree’s testimonial about Guruji’s grace being bestowed on her and her husband on the New Year. I felt they were so lucky and blessed and immediately I wished to at least hear Mohanji’s voice. It had been a secret wish to speak to Guruji over the phone on my birthday. Little did I know that my desire was soon to be fulfilled. My birthday on January 19th dawned and it appeared as any other day till about 8:30 am. Just then I got a call from Vasudevan Swami whom Mohanji lovingly calls as Thantriji. I took the call and he said, “One minute please, hold the line.” My heart beat stopped, for even before my beloved Guruji said hello over the phone, I knew my prayers had been heard and my beloved Parabrahma had taken time out to call me. My joy knew no bounds. I re-live that moment every day even now. I do not know if I missed any part of the conversation as I was in ecstasy and was floating on air. Guruji was full of concern about us and asked how Ranjit was doing in Ethiopia. He told me not to worry and He will take care. All I know is every word he uttered was precious. I had to pinch myself many times to see if it was a dream or a reality! Mohanji ensured that we were taken care of in spite of his busy schedules.

6. Ever Flowing Grace : Dr. Nikita Naredi, Pune

He knows it all…
Of the many miraculous experiences which keep happening in my life because of Mohanji’s presence, the one I am going to narrate is special. Although this incident happened last year, it needs to be shared because experiences and miracles never become old; they have divinity in them; they are a reflection of our faith and surrender to our Master, Guru and God..
I feel the protection He keeps bestowing on me. He certainly means it when He says I am walking with you !

When Mohanji visited Pune last year, he had agreed to stay at my place. Long back, I had expressed my desire that he should bless my home by staying with us the next time he visited Pune. He granted this wish and blessed us.

My husband and I were very excited and started preparations for his arrival. Three days before his arrival I got a call from Rajesh Kamath that 5 more devotees will be accompanying Him. Since we wanted everyone to have a comfortable stay, we wondered how we could accommodate everyone in our house. It occurred to me that our neighbouring flat was empty. Hesitantly, I called up the owner ( I did not know him at all) and requested him to allow us to use his house for a couple of days. He agreed, and we were delighted! We were supposed to pick up the keys two days later. But surprisingly, our neighbor asked us to collect the keys the next day itself and so we did. An hour later we were informed that Father (Mohanji) would be arriving as planned, but those accompanying him would arrive that night itself. We said to ourselves, “See His leela…. He made arrangements for everything; a house, as we felt it will be difficult to accommodate every one in our flat, house keys handed over much earlier, even before the guests arrived! Everything was perfectly orchestrated.” We were simply amazed at the divine play in progress!

The house had not been used for some time. So we came together to clean it and made it ready for our M family members. It was comfortable for them and us too.

Mohanji_woth Nikit_3

Mohanji finally arrived and He was in Pune for 3 days. They were the most beautiful days in my life. All M family members from Pune and the ones who had arrived earlier were basking in His love and happiness.

There were Satsangs and with Father we visited places of power and energy, like Baba Jaan Samadhi and Jangli Maharaj Samadhi. It was joyful to eat meals with 10 to 15 people. In fact every meal was Prasaad. One of the devotees commented they considered themselves fortunate for the opportunity to spend time with Him. Mohanji’s response was, “I have called all of you to experience love and not me!” Bhajans, Aarti, Satsangs and sharing experiences filled the house, making it a temple and what we experienced in those 3 days was pure love and bliss.

https://qawithmohanji.wordpress.com/2015/07/03/unconditional-love/

The reason I share this incident is to express how Mohanji fulfills our pure desires while also making arrangements for its smooth execution. More importantly, He showers unconditional love on us and makes us understand what love really feels like.

Thank you Mohanji for this lovely experience and for your ever flowing grace!

7. The Bestower: Reena Kumar, Gurgaon, India

Infinite gratitude Mohanji! You always listen and take care of your devotees.

By His grace, my husband, daughter and I have been fortunate to attend His retreats. I had an intense desire to be at the Kumbh with Mohanji along with my son. My son is in his teens. He is in Grade 11 and his examinations are in February. So I thought it would be tough to go in February and I surrendered my desire at Mohanji’s feet. Mohanji is so compassionate and caring; He listens to every thought of the devotee. After five days, my husband suggested that my son and I should go on 13th January for the Kumbh. I couldn’t believe it as my son could now attend the kumbh and get back to study well for his exams in February. Mohanji made it possible for both of us.

My son wanted to ask Mohanji on how to concentrate in his studies and about his mood swings. He got answers in the Satsang. My son was having shani dasha (planetary effects of Saturn). When my son went for a dip at the Sangam with Mohanji, my loving Guruji did jaal abhishek (pouring water on the head) for my son. My son shared that he felt very very light and relaxed.

Mohanji Chronicles Blog - A Dip At The Kumbh Mela - Freedom From A Bond - Abhishekam of Mohanji by the participants of the Kumbh Mela with Mohanji pilgrimage in Prayagraj
Abhishekam of Mohanji by the participants of the Kumbh Mela with Mohanji pilgrimage in Prayagraj

Mohanji showers his grace on all of us in different ways. Now my son’s concentration has  improved and mood swings are not there. Our Mohanji is vighnaharta (another name of Lord Ganesha).  Mohanji can make the most impossible things possible. We just have to surrender at his feet with unwavering faith.

When we were at the Kumbh, my daughter was at home with my husband.  When he went to office, she felt bored and she was desperate to watch the television. However, the TV was not working and my husband had no time to get it fixed. She was almost in tears and she prayed to Mohanji deeply,”You are God and You can do anything, Mohanji. Please I want to watch TV.” She said that Mohanji came out of the photograph and repaired the TV. She was so happy that the TV which was not working for the last 3 days started working. She called me and asked me to share this incident with Mohanji. The next day when we were about to leave, Mohanji called us and I narrated the TV incident to Mohanji. Mohanji smiled and said, “If a child is crying and praying to me, I always listen.”

Grace of love_Mohanji_Reena daughter
The grace of Love!

One more thing I would like to share. On the last evening at the Kumbh, Mohanji took on a father’s backache after he met with an accident. The child was praying to Mohanji for his father and Mohanji took that backache. No words can describe his compassion and the extent to which Mohanji can go for the sake of his devotees. He is our ‘Sankat Mochan’ (another name for Lord Hanumanji). We can never ever express our gratitude sufficiently as our Guruji gives us much more than we can imagine and gratitude is such a small word. Our gratitude can’t express His compassion which is infinite and beyond the mind.

Infinite gratitude every micro second, dear Mohanji  for everything. We should never allow our monkey mind to wander. Mohanji is a living God. Silently, He constantly blesses and fulfills wishes. Never ever underestimate and doubt His grace. He delivers the right thing at the right time. Just surrender at his lotus feet with unshakeable faith.

Jai Jai Mohanji, always at your lotus feet!

8. A ‘Wish’ful Of Food: by three devotees

Here are small experiences of three devotees on how Mohanji listens to us every moment and fulfills our wishes…nothing is too big or too small.

A Story Of Papad: Subhasree Thottungal, London

Mohanji Global Family Meet
Mohanji Global Family Meet

The story of the Papad incident happened at the global meet in Allahabad. We had our lunch break and every one was enjoying the scrumptious food that was arranged very lovingly by Preeti Duggalji. The lunch was a full Indian menu with chapatti, rice, dal, curry, papad etc. While I was having my rice, I noticed that I had already finished eating my  papad. I had a thought of getting up to fetch another one. But feeling  shy or mere laziness, I didn’t get up. Suddenly Barbara walked up to me, handed over a papad and said, “Father gave this for you.” I looked up, startled. Mohanji was sitting at a table, far away, having His lunch with someone else. He possibly couldn’t have seen my plate without the papad! I was speechless and a bit shy too that He heard me. He actually heard me!

papad

Well no need to say how happy I was to receive this prasad from Him and I enjoyed the rest of my food.  This incident again proved that He always listens to our thoughts whatever it may be! There is no delay, no postponement in fulfilling our wishes, and responding to our thoughts. Such is the way our “Avadhoota in Jeans” works.

During my presentation at the Global Meet, I shared this incident with the group. Mohanji said,

“I did this to show you that I am listening to you every moment”.

Mohanji_global meet_grace.jpg

Thank you Mohanji for fulfilling our wishes with unconditional love and compassion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A Sweet Tooth: Padmaja, USA

During the Acharya Level 1 training, there was a tasty, sweet dish served by the loving hosts. I got very little of this dish as I was in the last group of people having lunch. I had a desire to have more of the sweet. Next day, a similar kind of sweet was served during lunch and needless to say, I  got double of it than others. It didn’t take me much time to understand who fulfilled the desire of my sweet tooth!

A Treat Of Ice-cream: Vidya Iyengar

On our way back to Haridwar from Badrinath, my mother-in-law and I spoke about the desire to have the pista ice cream again in the same hotel where we were supposed to lodge that night. Mohanji was not even in our bus physically. To our surprise, for dinner, we were extremely delighted to see the same ice cream served as dessert. I went and spoke about this to our dear Maamu there. He had a smile on his face and conveyed that the dessert that day was supposed to be a rice pudding which suddenly got spoiled. So they had to serve this ice cream.

We were all smiling as we knew whose leela it was!

9. Faith In Grace : Punam Kapoor, Canada

I would like to share an enthralling experience that amazingly happened on Dattatreya Jayanthi.  Mohanji not only heard my silent prayer but also fulfilled it and showed me His and Lord Dattatreya’s presence in our home!

Mohanji_with_Punam and Nalin
The incredible grace of Mohanji!

Last weekend, while attending to our daughter who was in the hospital emergency, Nalin caught an infection. He suffered from severe cough, chest congestion, head and body aches.
Nalin’s recovery took time. The weekend when we were supposed to attend Dattatreya Jayanti prayers at Mohanji’s Ashram arrived but he had not completely recovered.

The previous day we had gone to pick up medicines from someone who came from India. On our way to their home and back, Datta Bhawani kept playing in the car. It was on auto repeat, but curiously enough, we did not set it up thus! We knew this was an indication of the blessings of the Guru Mandala and Lord Dattatreya. I had a feeling that this was an auspicious sign, one foretelling us of a divine experience.

Mohanji – The difference between blind faith and full faith

Unfortunately, I also caught the infection and felt dizzy with head and body aches.  Thus, both of us were unable to go to the Ashram.

I was heartbroken. My first reaction was to wonder why this happened. I asked Mohanji, “Did I make a mistake, do you not like me, how is it that I could not go to the Ashram?” and so on. After sometime, I reluctantly accepted the fact that I was unable to go to the Ashram to attend the puja and the prayers.

Soon, pictures were posted on Mohanji Canada group, which made me feel even more disappointed and gloomy as I had missed it all. All I can say is my heart was at the Ashram, thinking of Mohanji. Then I prayed to Him and said, “Mohanji, you say you are always with me. Would you please send me Prasad from today’s puja? “.
I reached out to my phone to call someone and request them to bring me Prasad, but I did not call. I made multiple attempts to call, but stopped because I did not wish to trouble others.

I tried hard to move on and started doing dishes to distract myself. I was almost done when I got a call from Nina that she and Bhupinder were coming to our home soon. I quickly turned on the kettle to make tea. Just then the doorbell rang and Nina and Bhupinder were at the door.

Welcoming Mohanji
Welcoming Mohanji – in His presence or without presence!

They came in; it was such a pleasure to see them, especially since they were coming back from the Ashram.

They both handed me a tray of rice and a bag of Prasad. This was from the prayers done at the Ashram.

Oh my God! I stood still ….I could hear Mohanji’s voice ringing in my ears, “I am always with you “.

I rushed to my puja room where there is life size picture of Mohanji, which He had autographed for us.
I could hear Him say,

“I am here always, I love you both!”

I said, “Mohanji my heartfelt gratitude, we both love you!!” and I could not stop repeating,” Thank you Mohanji ,Thank you Gurudev Datta, Thank you Sai Deva.”

Mohanji showed me His presence in our Puja room and also fulfilled my desire of getting Prasad from the Ashram, as we were unable to go to the Ashram for Datta Jayanti prayers.
After seeing off Nina and Bhupinder at the door, suddenly, Nalin said “I do my job” in a voice as if Mohanji was speaking!
Can you imagine the vibrations and the excitement I felt? It was as if I was floating!

Jai Sairam! Jai Gurudeva Datta ! Jai Mohanji

Conclusion:

These nine pearls are truly an eye-opener for each one of us. The experiences may seem simple but it proves how the Masters hear each and every wish/thought of the devotees and fulfills it. Mohanji is so full of compassion and love, His heart melts when a devotee reaches out to Him. We need to watch our thoughts and words too as the Guru takes on all our pains and suffering. No experience is big or small and each experience is significant from a larger perspective. This Satcharita of experiences should lead us towards introspection – an introspection of awareness and gratitude.

Here is a verse from the Guru Gita (verse 72) that explains how the Guru gives us not only all the knowledge, but fulfills all our desires and gives us liberation too.

Jnaana-sakthi-samaroodhas,

 tattvamaala-vibhusitah,

Bhukti-mukti pradaata yas,

tasmai sriguruve namah.

Meaning:

Salutations to Shri Guru. He is firmly established in the power of knowledge and is adorned with the garland of tattvas. He grants worldly fulfillment as well as salvation.

We conclude this month’s Mohanji’s Satcharita with a quote from Mohanji on Shiva Tattwa (principle) :

Shiva is beyond explanation, notion, understanding or even awareness. Shiva is THE BEYOND.

A Dip At The Kumbh Mela – Freedom From A Bond

Mohanji signing Pritam’s medicine study book

The Kumbh Mela is one of the most sacred events in India and happens to be the largest peaceful gathering in the world. Millions of people congregate during the event and many great saints and spiritual masters choose to come out of seclusion and share their wisdom and blessings with ordinary pilgrims. The magnitude and scale of this glorious spiritual gathering is awe inspiring and makes for a wonderful, unforgettable experience. This year in 2019, the Kumbh Mela takes place in Prayagraj (also known as Allahabad), starting on the 14/15th of January (Makar Sankranthi) and ends on March 4th (Maha Shivarathri).

Mohanji explains,

“At specific times of a year, certain planetary positions align in a way that the entire energy or frequency is higher on earth. That’s the best time for inner purification. This is referred to as taking a dip and involves a few aspects. One is that we are surrendering to the water. Second, while we are purifying the external body, the inner body is also getting purified and third, we are using the right planetary positions to elevate our consciousness and our awareness.”

Previously I have shared a life transforming experience with Mohanji, in Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 1.

Once again I feel very fortunate to share an astounding experience of  my life that happened at the Kumbh Mela in January 2019, I was very fortunate to be with Mohanji. So here it goes:

I had no plans whatsoever of going for a dip at the Kumbh Mela, not in this lifetime at least. But when Mohanji decides, who am I to resist. It all started with my visit to Kochi to meet Mohanji. Gitanjali and I went to attend a satsang in Thrissur, Kerala on 27th Dec 2018, which was scheduled to be entirely in Malayalam.

We don’t understand a word of the language, but His presence fills me with such happiness that I went. It is there that we decided we would be going for the Kumbh Mela, just to be near Mohanji. We did not know the significance of it, had no idea whether our sins would be washed away, but we knew for sure that whatever punya it had, would be multiplied a thousand fold just by His divine presence.

Now, my decision was not enough as I had multiple hurdles before me which had to be taken care of. I was under pressure at the work front and the nature of my work was such that whatever I missed for the duration of my absence was going to be piled up and was to be done once I was back. The headquarters was to be informed of my leave if it exceeded 3 days and Mohanji kept it exactly for 3 days! My senior agreed to my leave immediately when I applied, something unheard of in my organisation, but with a rider that my next leave scheduled in January had to be cancelled. I had made a flight booking in advance to visit Odisha, so I was expecting to incur losses during cancellation. When I enquired from the agent, he told me that the cancellation would be entirely refundable as I was some premium member. I was stunned at the developments. When one surrenders to Him, He micro manages everything in detail.

My wife Gitanjali has attended more events of Mohanji than myself and is definitely more social than me. Whenever I attend, I sit in a corner without speaking to others, listen to Him, meet Him if possible and go back avoiding any interaction with anyone else. I was telling Gitanjali how I feel funny when people hug each other, especially when some start crying after getting emotional at these events. I felt that everyone should get some control over their emotions. I am a physician and due to the nature of my job, see more deaths than other people, in fact more than the doctors of other specialities as well. I didn’t cry when my grandfather died, not even when one of my closest seniors died. Years of working in a military environment had made me immune to emotional displays and I used to feel that crying was a sign of weakness.

So Kumbh Mela with Mohanji started and I was happy being a part of it. On the day of the dip, we took different boats to reach the sangam (confluence of rivers) and there were people in each boat who did not belong to our group. After coming back, I met Mohanji and He told me that the dip couldn’t have been better for me. I didn’t understand the meaning of His words then. The following day was the last day and we were all packing to leave. I met a person whom I had met the previous day on the boat, while taking the dip at the sangam. We had taken the dip together and we started talking about the various experiences of life.

I felt a close attachment to him in the five minutes that we talked and hugged him thrice as he left. After he went away, I felt an intense sorrow unlike anything I had experienced till date! And then I suddenly started crying, tears rolling down from my eyes on their own accord without any rhyme or reason. Since I was in public, I went inside my tent to understand what had just happened. Once alone, I started crying even more and while it happened, I realised that this person was related to me from some other birth and I had betrayed him. I continued crying for some more time and then suddenly had a feeling that I must meet Mohanji.

I washed my face and went to Mohanji’s tent. As I reached the entrance I heard Him asking people about me.  I went inside and as soon as I saw Him, I knew that He was aware of everything. I fell at His feet, asking Him for mercy. He held me like a father holds his child and told me, “It’s over, forget about it.” And then, like magic, peace descended upon me. With tears in my eyes, I touched His feet and thanked Him for burning my karma. I had washed away my sins; my Kumbh Mela happened at that very moment. He had called me to that place for a specific reason and He was smiling serenely as this realisation dawned upon me. Something inside me changed that very moment and I realised what peace actually is. The artificiality was gone and I became a child again. I hugged each one while they were leaving and experienced true love.

Also, while coming back from Prayagraj, I remembered one of my old relatives telling me that no pilgrimage is truly complete until one experiences discomfort. The entire thing had been so comfortable, thanks to Preeti Duggal didi (sister) that I had a feeling of uncertainty if my pilgrimage was complete. I reached Delhi airport late, due to a flight delay and had a train to catch from the railway station. The entire cash with me was exhausted after paying for the taxi to the station and I missed my train by 3 mins!! There was no ATM nearby and the last train was in 5 mins. I had to travel in the general compartment, standing for 3 hours and without ticket!! That’s how my pilgrimage was completed. So, beware of whatever perceived notions you have. Mohanji will ensure that the smallest of your desires come true.

My thousand pranaams at the feet of my Guru Mohanji, He truly is my everything.

Tradition never leaves you

Written by Sumit Partap Gupta

Tradition never leaves us…once we embrace the tradition
Tradition never leaves us…once we embrace the tradition

With the Grace and blessings of our Master would like to share some key insights and hidden messages in the amazing blog “Born from the fire.”

This story awakens my understanding and throws light on many aspects of the eternal truths of our tradition. This truly opens one’s eyes..

Tradition never leaves us…once we embrace the tradition; it takes care of us always through time and space, through lifetimes which is an eternal promise. Atmananda Chaithanaya who is Aghora Baba himself found and met Rama Shastri. Rama who was living his life compassionately and doing his business ethically could easily recognize His Gurudeva.  It was his well-kept purity of inner space that allowed him that instant recognition. In today’s business world, due to greed for profits, most people never take care of their inner space and contaminate them unconsciously. Business also can be done in a pure way which benefits everyone. This is a great lesson to be learned. The advantage of being pure within is the gift of the “true eyes” to see.

When Atmanandaji  gave money to Aruna the second time to fetch some sweets from Rama’s shop, He was very much aware that Rama would not be in the shop and that his granddaughter would readily accept the money for the sweets.  The hidden message was that Atamanadji knew that Panduranga’s journey was about to get over and after eating the sweets, Panduranga’s last desire would be fulfilled and he would breathe his last. To cut Panduranga’s last karmic bond Atmananda himself gave money to Aruna for sweets. There are two aspects to it. The same morning, Rama Shastri had delivered sweets and food as usual.. Atmananda could have saved some sweets for Panduranga. He did not. Instead He chose to spend money from his pocket and buy more. In a way, as I understand, Atmananda fulfilled two debts at the same time. 1. He paid for the services rendered by the pious Rama Shastri. (There were no sweets in his shop. Atmananda materialized the sweets and also paid for it). Secondly, he indirectly paid Panduranga also, for his services, through the final fulfillment of his deep desire for sweets. And this also can be looked at as a kind of Dakshina or a gift of money a father might give to his son who is embarking on a long journey. Even though physical cash was not given, this can be considered as dakshina.

He is everything, yet he is nothing. Non-conformity in its perfection!
He is everything, yet he is nothing. Non-conformity in its perfection!

On the other hand Aruna’s mind didn’t understand the logic behind Atmananda’s action of sending him to fetch the sweets but he never questioned his Master. He never asked  “ Why “. A perfect sign of our tradition. The all-knowing master is never questioned and the ego, intellect and mind is totally surrendered at the feet of the master. His wish is the disciple’s command. We must also understand that a thought indeed sprouted in the mind of Aruna as to “WHY” which itself showed that he has indeed miles to go in surrender. Atmananda perhaps wanted to prove this aspect to Aruna too. That is probably why he chose Aruna for this errand. Atmananda was also about to leave his body. If Aruna does not shed his last remnants of resistance now, he may have to come back again into the birth-death cycle. A golden lesson indeed!

Aghora Baba represents Shiva, Vishnu & Shakti Bhaav. These are the three main aspects that constitutes three major paths of Hinduism. Shivaite path, Vaishnavaite path and the Shakti path (The goddess). (This is not Shaktipat, the transfer of energy from a guru to a disciple)  In other words, Aghora Baba represented the whole Hinduism. The Shiva Bhaav was evident from his face and appearance, celestial fragrance emitting from his body represented the Vishnu Bhaav, His action of carrying a skull always in His hand and dancing naked on the burning pyre along with His group portrayed His Kali Bhaav. So, he represented the whole aspects of Hinduism in its totality. He is everything, yet he is nothing. Non-conformity in its perfection!

It takes deep devotion and clear and clean inner space. The rest is grace.
It takes deep devotion and clear and clean inner space. The rest is grace.

Aghora Baba used to dance naked and be with naked women. People accused him of promoting prostitution and indulging in all kinds of bad habits but Aghora Baba represents   “The Source ” and One who is the source Himself is beyond any expressions, impressions and cannot be put into any frame of morality. In fact with His own life, he was mocking at the fragile morality of the villagers, who wear masks of morality at convenience. Deep fear held them back from attacking the powerful Baba head on. This is also another mirror to the society. A challenge to be fearless! Living in burial ground, that too with His disciples, fire rituals in funeral fire, dancing in fire etc signifies, total denial of any norms and total control over fear of all kinds. Modern man may call it insanity. But, Babaji’s life is more of a bold statement towards the fragile, fearful and tamasic society.

Aghora Baba is fearsome to the society. But, when he touched the young Rama Shastri, he had motherly love and kindness. He was kindness incarnate. This is a far cry from what the society thought of him (as a drunkard, womanizer and a mad man). Society gave him fears and Babaji removed his fears. Another sign of our tradition! General society often condition minds. It sows seeds of fears. A true guru removes all fears and instills faith and devotion instead. This was the transformation that Rama Shastri experienced. Inner purity was all that mattered for the blessings to flow.

Later years proved the selflessness of Rama Shastri and Babaji came back to bless him as Atmananda. And he was also blessed with the recognition of the familiar fragrance. There are many occasions in life where mind does not permit recognition when the action takes place. This takes grace. And Rama had sufficient grace to have this recognition. It takes deep devotion and clear and clean inner space. The rest is grace.

His all actions are purpose bound, just like his words. There is nothing wasted, even a breath.
His all actions are purpose bound, just like his words. There is nothing wasted, even a breath.

Atmananda is unassuming, ordinary to public eyes, but extra ordinary to those who have uncontaminated inner space. This is typical of any Datta Guru. He has amazing siddhis, but will never display them for his benefit or to create an impression. His all actions are purpose bound, just like his words. There is nothing wasted, even a breath. This is a golden lesson for life. Waste nothing in life, everything is precious and god given. There is absolute clarity in thoughts, words and action. But, never interferes in karmic flow of others. Again, this is typical of our tradition. Every words or actions of his have multiple purposes. His visit to the place where we see him in this story has two or three different reasons. Panduranga’s fulfillment, death, Rama Shastri’s fulfillment, Aruna’s education, clearing karmic debts as well as promises etc. What we can perceive with our limited understanding is just the tip of the iceberg of the reality on which great saints operate. A great eye opener indeed!

Inner purity is all that matters for the blessings to flow.
Inner purity is all that matters for the blessings to flow.

The Shopkeeper’s uncle represented mindset of those people who look at life in a superficial way, they judge people immediately based on outward appearances and habits. They never care to go beyond the deceptive outward appearances sometimes taken by Higher Entities to distract people. They lose heavily in life.

The shopkeeper’s mother portrayed a mentality of a meek housewife who is neutral, influenced by both positivity and negativity time and again, a regular person full of fears. She is a typical housewife who has no voice of her own and is always afraid to leave her comfort zone, even if it costs the ultimate truth. Her conforming nature to the approved norms of the society despite evidences of truth otherwise.

The other lesson we can learn is that NEVER judge a Master from a worldly point of view and through other peoples opinion. Always listen to your heart and your own truth. Other’s words could be terribly deceptive.

The Mystery and the Master – Who is Mohanji?

Everyone will agree with me that something attracts one to Mohanji. It could be his energy, his consciousness, his penetrating eyes, his unconditional love for all, his genuinity, his spontaneity, his sense of humor, his bluntness, his honesty, his compassion, his insights on spirituality, truthfulness, display of anger, or just his mere presence. Mohanji is a mystery to many. Many people think they know Mohanji and gets totally confused when they discover that the man whom they thought they knew is beyond their understanding. Many people have left him, disillusioned because of their own reasons or Mohanji’s plain simplicity. Mohanji hardly displays his true potential. He gives one only what he or she needs or deserves. That may confuse many. Where is the so-called enlightenment? Where are the altered states of existence? Then, one must ask oneself. “Do I have the eyes to see it, even if it is displayed in front of me?” It is our inability and not his. He expresses himself or his true nature all the time, masked in simplicity. He does deliver his promises. We fail to see.

Mohanji- Maha Kumbh Mela 2013
Who is Mohanji? What is his consciousness? I sincrely pray, let me have those eyes to see Him.

I am connecting to Mohanji’s consciousness and writing this. May dear Mohanji write through me! May I be used as his mouth piece to narrate our experiences at Maha Kumbh Mela and beyond.

Maha Kumbh Mela 2013. I had the privilege of being with Mohanji and 40 others to enjoy the holy dips on three auspicious days at Allahabad, India in February 2013. We arrived at Allahabad on 14th morning. We took dips on three auspicious days such as 15th(Vasant Panchami), 17th (Ratha Saptami) and 18th(Durgashtamai). All at Brahma Muhurtha between 3-4 am along with Mohanji! What else could we ask for?

May I take this opportunity to narrate a few of the incidents that happened during this time. The first is a revelation about Mohanji which another saint disclosed for our understanding. This made us get a better view of the unassuming saint who walks and talks to us and often we take for granted!

We had stayed at ISCKON tents in Allahabad. Morning of 17 Feb 2013, Bala Sai walked into Mohanji’s tent at Kumbh Mela along with another saint and his 11 odd disciples. The saint who accompanied Bala Sai was connected to Gorakhnath Baba of Nath tradition. Gorakh Babaji enters his body and starts to speak. As all the visitors assembled inside the tent and made themselves comfortable, this saint requested permission to click a picture with Mohanji. Mohanji agreed and they stood together for the picture. Mohanji put his hand partially hugging the saint and suddenly the saint shivered, went into a trance and started talking to him. Soon after the picture, he said, “I would like to talk about Mohanji” and he started talking about Mohanji in “Pali” Language sitting on his chair. Later, as suggested by Bala Sai, he sat down on the rug between the cots. Mohanji also sat down in front of him, facing him. Then, he disclosed the truth of Mohanji’s existence in a classy Tamil verse. The translation is given below.

Quote,

“This place is miraculous and this time is more miraculous. Lord Shiva is here with mother Amba present to talk to this child. Who do you think this is who sits here? He is descended from the lineage of Gorakha, many births having served Shiva, bound to his feet. This child here now and he is at many places working many things. Shiva is here and mother Amba is here, my child; and we have come to let you know some things through this body. He is blessed Siddha of Shiva, Gorakha Himself. He will serve material life in a small village in Tamilnadu. He will attain a tremendous light body / energy body in a short time. In this place you are Mohanan, and you are blessed with tremendous powers, and these come to you from Lord Datta Himself and Gorakha coming from many births of serving Shiva; hence blessed abundantly by Him. Many blessings come to you from, mother Anasuya. Many miracles are due to happen yet to you, through you, by His grace. Where ever you go, there will be prosperity, and grace. Whichever holy place or enterprise you even think of with your mind, will become glorious, prosperous and full of grace. This Gorakha is telling you. You have done many great miracles in your previous births and this birth and there are many more to come. Due to the merits you have accumulated, this is your final birth and in this birth in the latter half of your life you are / will be working with glorious golden body of light, no longer gross body. This will be shown with great many miracles, blessings, and grace which will flow through you. This is what Gorakha and the blessed Datta and Shiva Shakti tells you and we bless you, ending this. You know all.”

Unquote

He started calling Mohanji “Son of Shiva”, and at one point Gorakhnath Babaji said “He is Myself”. This was an overwhelming experience for all who were present. After this revelation, he went on talking about Sumit, Shashank, Ravi, Palak and many others. He revealed further about Mohanji while talking to them and he also explained why it is extremely important for them to stay with deeper faith with Mohanji. He said you all here with Mohanji to have Mukti (Liberation). He also spoke about Mohanji’s ashram “Datta Tapovan”. He mentioned that “Millions of Siddhas” will come and stay and work in the ashram, once Mohanji moves in there. Lot of Annadhan will happen. Many people will come here and serve. He also mentioned that both Maharshi Atri and Mata Anasuya (Parents of Lord Datta) will be present in the ashram. That place would become a major Saktisthal (place of power), where people will get benefitted even as they step in.

Mohanji- Maha Kumbh Mela 2013
When experience is given, heart knows the truth.

Just a day earlier, some of us were discussing and contemplating if we are sharing our experiences with Mohanji at all, or if it is needed at all. With this experience from Gorakh Babaji, we had no doubt left in our minds that it is important for us to share our experiences or else the world will miss some deep truths of human existence. We are just doing the world a big seva by telling, guiding, instilling hope and vouching that there are numerous dimensions to our existence and many stay hidden due to our own mental blockage. It is important to share; never know which mind would open up to truth and larger realities.

Mohanji- Maha Kumbh Mela 2013
Evolve spiritually with laughter… spirituality is not to make one’s life serious….. Mohanji

The three dips that we took during Brahma Muhurth were amazing and refreshing too. We walked from our tents at the ISKCON campus. Ghats were roughly 2 and a half km away. Interestingly, our tents were in an area demarcated and called as “Bilwa Vana” or the forest of Bilwa, the favorite plant of Shiva! An apt abode for Mohanji and his children! While walking towards the bathing ghats, most of us found it difficult to catch up with Mohanji’s pace. He was walking or rather floating in great speed. Indeed, “Beat the tamas by embracing rajas”. For some of us, it was too difficult to shed the comfort of a thick cozy blanket and walk towards freezing cold water on a foggy cold morning at 2.30 am. This was the test! Most of us dared the objections of our tamasic mind and got over their inertia and Mohanji, as always, led by example.

Mohanji- Maha Kumbh Mela 2013
Walk to the ghat for dip at early morning 2.30am in Alahabad… We were contineously chanting aloud while walking. That speed, the energy, the deep desire for dip and faith on the consciousness… undescribable..

Sumit always ensured our path is right and directly towards the bathing ghats without any detour. Once we took the dip, all the fear and apprehensions of cold and cold itself went away and many of us, who intended to take 9 dips ended up much more, lovingly and willingly. Many of us actually experienced a tremendous purification, burdens of our past removed and also a shift in our awareness. It is the faith and surrender with which we take the dip that is important. Dip should not be a mechanical act! We have to shed our comfort zones to evolve.

Shashank’s 80 year old father was a striking example of determination. Shashank and his brother held him on both sides, he walked all the way to ghats and he had his lifetime experience. He was fully satisfied. All those who came were happy and completely satisfied, in their own way.

At Maha Kumbh Mela, after the holy dip

While at Kumbh, apart from the visit of Bala Sai, Gorakh Baba and their disciples, Mohanji also met Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Swami Vishwananda, Swami Srila Navayogendra Maharaj of ISKCON and the loving mother Kunti Mata from Jammu, apart from many seers, saints and sadhus that we kept encountering. Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Mohanji and Swami Vishwananda also had dinner together on 14th evening.

Mohanji and our whole group also visited Vihangam Yoga ashram in Allahabad. We were served a sumptuous lunch at the ashram. Mohanji and all of us were lovingly received and honored by Sant Namdeoji Maharaj, the son of Saint Swtantradeoji Maharaj. There were beautiful discourses and introductions to Vihangam Yoga by the acharyas. Finally, Sant Swtantradeoji Maharaj himself came in, hugged and honored Mohanji. Mohanji explained that he felt at home and he felt deeply humbled by their genuine love and sincerity.

Mohanji’s meeting with Paramhamsa Nityananda and Swami Vishwananda during Mohanji’s Kumbh yatra in Feb 2013

Earlier, Sant Swatantradeoii Maharaj, Sant Namdeoji Maharaj and Sant Pravar Shri Vigyandeoji Maharaj had visited Oman in October 2012. Mohanji had received them at the airport and later, they had dinner at his place. Sant Swatantradeoji Maharaj also initiated Mohanji and Biba in three levels of Vihangam Yoga, at Mohanji’s home in Oman. Mohanji says “I feel deeply honored by this loving gesture of the guru, the grandson of the great master Anant Sadguru Sadafaldeoji Maharaj, visiting my humble abode and doing us this honor”. Mohanji prostrated at his feet in gratitude. Sri Namdeoji Maharaj, in his speech mentioned about Mohanji as a perfect example of egolessness. And he mentioned his experience when he saw Mohanji at Muscat airport in jeans and T shirt – totally unassuming and never caring about his image, stature or looks. He said that only a person who has crossed over the boundaries of his ego can be so careless about his image or what people will think about him. Mohanji is a perfect example of a true guru of modern times; he walks his talk and he walks the same earth where too much pretensions and image making are indeed happening.

Mohanji addressed the gathering with few words, but, he indeed mentioned about his sorrow in seeing competition among spiritual leaders. He said, “Kumbh Mela should be a platform for unification. Everyone should come together for the welfare of the world. We have 7 Billion people to take care, elevate, and show the true light of God. True saints can never have insecurities. There should be no competition. Those who are of the highest elevation cannot have dualities. It is time to preserve dharma, beyond individual egos”. Mohanji spoke the same thing to all the saints and acharyas whom he met at Maha Kumbh Mela.

This was Maha Kumbh Mela which happens only after 144 years. We were indeed lucky to have attended it – that too with Mohanji. I feel, even though we have been with him, hearing, talking, touching and feeling him almost always, we are yet to “KNOW HIM”. We are yet to know his consciousness. He behaves ordinary. He easily conceals his true identities. He laughs and makes others laugh and slips past. He gives something small and escapes and expects you to realize it and get back to him to claim the higher that he is indeed capable of giving. He needs to be explored, quite patiently. These were the thoughts of many of us who traveled with him to Maha Kumbh Mela and to Ayodhya and Banares.

Many events and visits have happened in last 6 months. We were continuously on the move, and times were so demanding that could write about those events. Next blog that follows is about visit to Ayodhya and Banares.

Love and only love,

Deepali
