Grace at the time of need

mohanji smile

A beautiful narration of the power of Mai-Tri and one’s deepening connection to Mohanji. Pooja writes about her recent experiences with Mohanji and the profound effect of Mai-Tri received by her dad. Subhasree also shares her experience as the Mai-Tri practitioner who responded to Pooja’s message for help in the most unexpected way.

By Pooja Jobanputra, UK

I would like to share my recent experiences and ongoing beautiful journey with Mohanji.

At the outset of the corona pandemic, I began to listen more regularly and with an increasing passion to Mohanji’s podcasts, videos, and blogs. This period has allowed me to connect to Mohanji’s consciousness at a much deeper, profound level. I have begun to experience subtle changes in my way of thinking and have felt the presence of Mohanji in my daily life. It feels incredible, it feels as though I have found my way in the world and it feels like I need nothing else. I bow to the feet of Mohanji and the Tradition for showing me the way and guiding me to a new way of living.

podcast

I have found myself eagerly awaiting each new video, podcast, and programme on the UK Facebook page. I have been encouraged to join the EBC Club and the daily Power of Purity meditation sessions, and I have enjoyed every moment. It has been thought-provoking, life-changing and has given me the chance to experience pure happiness like nothing else.

I have also connected profoundly with Shirdi Sai Baba through Mohanji’s guidance and this connection has also started another beautiful journey of love for Baba. A recent experience has shown me the power of the Masters at work and provided me with huge respect for the Tradition.

One day, I received a call from my mother who was concerned about my dad as he was feeling unwell and increasingly uncomfortable with some heartburn. She was very worried and asked me to come as she was calling an ambulance.

As soon as I got to their place, I could see that my father was struggling. He was uncomfortable and had been feeling this way for a few days. Within a few minutes, the paramedics came and identified an issue on his ECG. He was told to go to the hospital with them and my mother was becoming anxious.

As these events were unfolding, something happened within me where I could feel inner strength. I prayed to Mohanji and Baba to help and guide. I had watched a video about the power of Baba’s Udi just the week before, and I could feel that things just started to flow. I asked my mum to give some Udi in water to my dad, as he made his way to the ambulance. He drank the water quickly and I just knew this would help him. I saw a small picture frame of Baba in my mother’s kitchen shrine and I placed it in my father’s bag. Again, this just happened like second nature.

I felt the need to connect with Mohanji and placed a message in the global prayer group. It was late in the night and I was not sure if anyone would see it, but I just did it quickly. I remember very clearly now that Subhasree came into my mind at that point, but I knew it was too late to call anyone. I somehow connected with Subhasree, and again I cannot explain, there are no coincidences. Grace was beginning to flow.

The ambulance crew were not happy with the second ECG and decided to go quickly to the hospital. Again, I felt a sense of calmness. I prayed to Baba and Mohanji, and I asked them to do whatever was in the best interests of my dad.

The paramedics decided to change course and go to a local specialist heart hospital, this was not a coincidence. It just happened like clockwork. No panic, no stress, just a sense of stillness that I felt.

As I waited in the hospital car park, I chanted Sai mantras and connected with Mohanji. I looked at my phone and saw that one person had sent prayers for my dad and then I saw Subhasree’s message. It literally pinged out of my phone with a thump!

I could not believe that she replied at this exact time of need. It was all like clockwork. She reassured me immediately as we messaged and prayed and she began Mai-Tri for my dad. Everything flowed and I didn’t feel any anxiety or panic. As soon as Subhasree said Mohanji is with you, I felt him sitting next to me in the car. It immediately calmed me further. I knew that he was taking care.

Mohanji car

My sister drove out of the car park and just as we turned the corner, we saw the paramedics who had taken my dad to the hospital. They were smiling and so helpful, they reassured us that dad had a quick procedure in a record time of 16 minutes to place a stent in his blocked artery and that he was back on the ward.

They said he was lucky to have been seen so quickly and that all had gone well with a good outcome. We spoke to him and he was fine and resting.

I could feel what had happened and I began to piece it together. Subhasree had been woken unusually that day, I had asked for help and it had come. Divine grace flowed and flowed, and my dad had not felt any pain during the procedure. Mai-Tri had been given whilst the procedure was being done.

Pooja1

The consultant, who is renowned for his skill and speed, had decided unexpectedly, to stay late that day as he was running late. He decided to spend the night at the hospital which he was not planning to do, I later found out. Again, this was not a coincidence.

I shall be eternally grateful to Mohanji, the Tradition, and to Subhasree for the love and grace given to my family that day. Eternal love, eternal gratitude!

By Subhasree Thottungal, UK

That day was a very busy day at work. Long working hours, constantly being on conference calls, by evening I was pretty drained. Shyama happened to call me for something and she realised that I was not feeling my usual self. She kindly suggested me to have a Mai-Tri session. I requested her to give me a session and then fell asleep around 11 pm. I was fast asleep.

Suddenly, I woke up and checked the time. It was 12:30 am. Once I fall asleep, normally I don’t wake up in the middle and that night when I was so tired and had received Mai-Tri, there was no reason for me to wake up. Instead of trying to fall asleep again, I just took my phone to see the time and looked at my WhatsApp. There I saw a message on the Global Chant and Prayer group from Pooja (she is from our Mohanji UK family) about her father being taken into hospital due to heart issues.

I sent my prayers for him on that group. Soon, I saw that she had messaged me privately. She was desperate to connect to Mohanji and to receive his healing for her father. While sitting at the hospital car park, she was feeling very distressed. I was guided to send her Mohanji’s Shiva Kavacham to listen and also told her that, “Mohanji is sitting right next to you.” Of course, I don’t plan and say these words nor do I say this just like that! I realised that Mohanji was sending her the message. I was just an instrument. After a few minutes, I also did a Mai-Tri session for Pooja’s father.

Around 1:20 am, Pooja messaged me saying that her father had been given the correct treatment he had urgently needed and was now recovering! While Pooja and I were talking about Mohanji’s presence with him and her, and while she was listening to the Shiva Kavacham, and while I was doing the distant Mai-Tri for him, exactly during that time, her dad was undergoing the procedure!

No doubt Mohanji was there with Pooja and her father right from the beginning when she started calling him, but he also ensured that Pooja feels his presence! By this time, I had realised that I didn’t wake up by chance! Mohanji woke me up! I had to send his message to Pooja, I had to pass on Mohanji’s energy through Mai-Tri. After that I fell sound asleep.

The next morning Pooja called me and narrated the whole thing and her realisation of Mohanji’s protection, his grace, and how faith and surrender work in reality! She even mentioned that when I sent her the message saying, “Mohanji is sitting right next to you”, she felt Mohanji in her car next to her and she immediately felt very relaxed!

Being a witness to this incident, I realised that this is yet another reminder to all of us how Mohanji is with us all the time, 24×7. Big or small, whatever the matter maybe, when we call out to him with deep faith, we can clearly see how his grace flows.

I am so happy to feel Mohanji’s grace, witness Mohanji’s miracles, and to be a real character in Mohanji Satcharitra!

Incredible healing of the coronavirus

mala

By Kim Kihm, South Africa

I was diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus on Monday, after doing the test last Tuesday (17th March 2020). The diagnosis was definitive, with a slight collapse of the left lung, but nothing significant. I was shocked and quite devastated. I never thought it would be me; I cannot describe my feelings and the definitive moment, where I knew that I was going to have to really beat this adversary, no matter what.

After doing the test on that Tuesday and before the results were released, I was put onto medication to treat my immediate flu-like symptoms and sent home to rest.

I spent the balance of the week in relative isolation but experienced an uneasy feeling about so many unresolved issues in my life, whilst the news of the virus just seemed to escalate and create further widespread panic and pandemonium.

In the quietness of my relative ‘quarantine’, I decided to look inwards and to connect to our Guru on a deeper level. I started reading Mohanji’s Power of Purity (PoP) book, which just re-emphasized the implications of one’s thoughts, words, and actions and then proceeded to do the meditation on my own.

At this stage, I realized that I really, really, did not want to be adversely affected by this virus and that I would go within, and have my Guru Mohanji guide me to where I needed to be. I surrendered completely and made the decision to pick myself up and to push forward in every way to heal myself spiritually and physically.

faith

The following day, I received a Zoom invite to join our beloved Acharya and Mai-Tri Practitioner Milica to do the PoP meditation, which I duly did. During the meditation, I felt so close to Mohanji, I felt his hand holding mine as a parent holds a child’s, guiding me to a place of safety and sanctuary within myself. I felt the warmth and light he radiates. The meditation itself was just so healing. I was able to allow myself to forgive and let go of my brewing anger, grudges that I felt, and general negativity. I allowed myself to feel the emotions going on inside of myself, and then watch them vaporize as I listened to Mohanji’s sublime words. In this meditation, I was able to forgive myself and feel love for myself, which I have never done. I had amazing clarity and insight about things in my life, which I had previously felt so clouded about. I felt so cleansed in every way.

We then did a meditation on Tuesday which again left me with a feeling of clarity about myself and the road ahead. I felt the love and warmth, the light, the purity and just felt cleansed again.

I was incredibly lucky to have a wonderful Mai-Tri Method session with Milica after the meditation. Despite us being 25 kilometers apart, I felt her absolute presence in my room. I felt her so intensely, it was quite phenomenal. During the session, I felt my left lung releasing a white substance, like liquid tar. I saw many things in my life, which had been affecting me adversely, and I could see how I had attracted the virus to myself. I woke up the following morning, with clear breathing and a stronger constitution.

Again, I was privileged to join another Zoom Mai-Tri Method session with Milica. The energizing, rejuvenating and healing session was just on a different level. I have never experienced such light and divinity. I experienced no darkness, just pure light, pure universal healing, complete oneness with the Supreme, and pure unconditional love.

During this time in isolation, I have had the most tremendous growth, and specifically, just being able to be with myself. To care for ME, to love ME and what I am, and what I represent. I feel renewed, despite my illness.

My advice to all is to NOT watch all the negative reviews. To isolate yourself without the media negativity, to look inside oneself, connect to Mohanji, surrender to Mohanji, know that Mohanji has your hand, and make the decision to survive this and conquer your fears.

I’m not at all suggesting that the virus is not serious and I don’t want to underplay the severity. I just want to inspire you to not be sucked down the spiral of negativity and succumb to it. You can heal yourself if you want to. You do have the power, and now is the time to make all the positive changes to your life that you have neglected, as I have done too.

Raise your frequency now, don’t wait, be proactive and rise above the physical universe. There is hope if you are ill, just eat clean (no animal products), take the recommended medications and natural supplements being circulated, and BE MOHANJI!!!

Girnar with Mohanji, a journey of bliss!

By Hemkant Laxman Pagdhare

Mohanji and a small group of 12 people had the ultimate opportunity to visit Girnar in the state of Gujarat, which is considered as one of the most ancient ‘Datta Kshetras’ in India.

The very appearance of the mountain symbolizes that ‘A Guru is always on top of the world.’ Lord Dattatreya is considered as the ADI GURU or THE SUPREME POWER and he meditated here for over 12,000 years. Lord Dattatreya’s lotus feet are on the Gurushikhar peak which is more ancient than the Himalayas. Another great symbolism of Girnar is that ‘To reach and have the darshan of Lord Dattatreya’s holy footprints, one should have a lot of determination, dedication, surrender and utmost faith. One should follow the same path as his Guru in the same direction, and only then can we reach our goal. Lord Dattatreya is present here and he is protecting all his devotees.

In Mohanji’s words, “A visit to Girnar is not an ordinary journey. It is surrender and commitment to the Tradition. Unless you have deep commitment and conviction, you may not be on this land. Many people may visit not fully knowing why as in some instances; Lord Dattatreya could be their family deity, etc. However, for people who are consciously going, it reaffirms their deep conviction to the path of Avadhoota. In fact, there is no better place more powerful and more relevant than Girnar for a true spiritualist on the path of Avadhoota (total dissolution). We aren’t talking about enlightenment or even the path of Siddha here – this is much beyond human realms or thinking. In fact, even today, the nine Naths and 84 Siddhas visit Girnar in sookshma form, chant and pray for the darshan of Lord Dattatreya who continues to guide them along. Only grace alone can bring an individual to this land, and grace and surrender alone will help one complete this holy pilgrimage.”

Visiting Lord Dattatreya with our own Datta Master is never complete without a share of his leelas.

Since October 2017 when I had done my 1st pilgrimage to Girnar; it was my wish to be with Mohanji in Girnar. With Mohanji’s grace, my wife Shilpa and I could join Mohanji on the Girnar pilgrimage last month, on 11th February 2020. This was my fourth and Shilpa’s second visit to Girnar.

Girnar, also known as Girinagar (city-on-the-hill) or Revatak Parvata, is a group of mountains in the Junagadh district of Gujarat, India. It is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Jains, who gather here during the Girnar Parikrama festival. Mount Girnar is older than the Himalayas and the Jain temples upon it are amongst the most ancient in the country; it is the Nirvan bhumi of the 22nd Tirthankara, Lord Neminatha (a Jain saint).

It is advisable to start the journey at dawn generally, or evening on full moon days as it takes hours to complete the pilgrimage. Climbing the 10,000 steps is no easy task and takes a fit person about 4 to 5 hours to complete the yatra. One has to reach Junagadh first from where autos are available to reach Bhavnath Taleti, the starting point of the Girnar yatra.

Guru Gorakhnath Ashram
Guru Gorakhnath Ashram

The plan was to start the ascent by late evening. We reached the ashram in the early morning on the 11th. Ananth welcomed us at the Guru Gorakhnath ashram also known as Triloknath ashram and escorted us to our room. This is one of the best ashrams here which is well kept. The ashram provides good quality meals. One can easily enjoy the magnanimous and serene view of Mount Girnar from the ashram. Evening aarati at 7 pm is mesmerising and soothing.

Ananth informed us that Mohanji would arrive in the afternoon. The rooms were quite spacious, neat and clean. We rested and waited for the rest of the group members to arrive. By 10 am, we met the other group members and then left the ashram. We visited the holy Damodar Kund. Many devotees prefer to bathe in the Kund or immerse the cremation ashes (asthi-visarjana) here; as it is believed that the departed souls would get moksha by doing so.

Muchkund Cave

After dipping our feet in the holy Kund, we went to the nearby Damodar Hari temple and Muchukund cave. The Muchukund cave has a temple of Lord Krishna and a Shiv Linga believed to be established either by Lord Krishna himself or by King Muchkundh, the ancestor of Lord Rama. This is also the place where demon Kalayavan, who was chasing Lord Krishna, was killed by Muchukunda’s gaze.

bhavnath-mahadev temple
bhavnath-mahadev temple

Later on, we went to Bhavnath Mahadev temple. The Shiva Ling here is said to have emerged by its divine intention. Reportedly, when Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were travelling over the Girnar Hills, their divine garment fell over the present Mrigi Kund, making this place an auspicious site for Lord Shiva worshippers. After coming back to the ashram, Ananth called us to meet Mr. Joshi, a professor at a local college and an enthusiastic historian cum writer. He gave us some crucial information about Mount Girnar.

By this time, we were all eagerly waiting for Mohanji to arrive. Mohanji’s flight had got delayed and he arrived late in the afternoon. Everyone gathered in his room to see him. Despite the tedious journey from Bangalore to Junagadh, Mohanji looked so fresh and happy to see us all. We noticed that Mohanji’s left foot was swollen. Due to his busy schedule, he could hardly rest or take care of his left foot. Sonia di and Ruchika immediately started massaging his feet. Sonia di gave Mai-Tri to Mohanji’s swollen foot with Mohanji’s energy.

Mr. Joshi also joined us. Mohanji asked Mr. Joshi to sit on the chair next to him saying that we are all bhaktas of Lord Dattatreya and we are all equal in his eyes. Mohanji’s practice of insignificance was quite heart melting. Mr. Joshi gifted some books to Mohanji, written by him on Girnar. Mohanji honoured the books by touching his forehead to them and readily accepted them. Mohanji said, “The importance of Girnar and the Datta Tradition is not well known to the outside world; hence the books must be translated into English.”

We all had a great satsang. Mohanji mainly spoke about the importance of alignment and rituals, and said that no ritual is a waste; they all have a deeper significance. After two blissful hours, we returned to our respective rooms to prepare for the Gurushikhar pilgrimage. We had to climb 9999 steps to reach there.

Since Shilpa wanted to walk comfortably at her own pace, we took Mohanji’s permission and blessings to start early. Kamath da, DB, Ananth, Naresh, George, Christopher along with Mohanji were supposed to start the trek after Christopher’s arrival.

Five of us, Soniya di, Ruchika, Jaya di, Shilpa and myself started the ascent by 9 pm. We prostrated at the first step and began our pilgrimage to Gurushikhar to have darshan of Lord Dattatreya’s padukas.

Generally, the temple closes after aarati at 7 pm and reopens by 5:30 am after aarati. So ideally, to reach Gurushikhar before aarati was what we were aiming at. The temple remains open for 24 hours during full moon days.

We bought some orange candies to keep our mouth wet while climbing. It helps as drinking a lot of water is not practical. We had limited water stock to reduce the load while climbing and there was no chance to get drinking water till the next morning.

I was chanting the mantra given by Mohanji, “Aum Hreem Dram Shri Gurudev Datta.” The silence of the Gir forest was quite pleasant. I was also guided by Mohanji in the mind to be with the group at least till the Neminath temple (which is at about 3500 steps). I also told Shilpa about this message.

Shilpa and Jaya di were walking steadily while Sonia di and Ruchika were some steps behind us. So I told Shilpa and Jaya di to go ahead and keep moving at a steady pace and started walking with Sonia di and Ruchika.

“The destination is important but the journey is important as well!” Mohanji reminded me in the mind.

After about 1000 steps, we came across the first rest-house. There were cement benches to sit and relax. We sat there and meditated for some time. It was a wonderful experience. I told Shilpa that Mohanji telepathically conveyed that they have left the ashram. We resumed our ascent with renewed energy. I checked the time; it was 11:09 pm.

After climbing some steps, we met an elderly couple from Maharashtra. We introduced ourselves and started walking together. They were relieved to meet us, as they were advised to walk in a group in the Gir jungle which is a home to Asiatic lions, leopards and many wild animals. There has been no incidence of attacks till date. But as a precaution, local people guide us not to wait in the dark or go off the steps. If one has to rest, one must rest under a streetlight during the night journey. There were streetlights along our way but in between two lights there were dark patches as well. We used a torch whenever required. Two days back it was full moon, but for us the moonlight was obstructed by the Ambaji Peak.

After about an hour or so, we saw George nearing us singing Jay Gurudev Datta loudly. He hugged all of us and left singing Jay Gurudev Datta loudly. His speed was amazing. Aunty noticed that George was bare footed and exclaimed, “Look, he is climbing bare footed. His faith is stronger than ours!”

Somehow something changed inside me. It was truly inspiring to see George float on the mountain like this. Even I started climbing at a slightly faster pace, despite instructing others to walk at a steady pace! Unfortunately, everything happened so suddenly and unconsciously that I did not even notice that our group was left behind.

Climbing at a faster pace, I injured my left knee. A big lesson was learnt. I was guided by Mohanji well in advance to be with the group till the Neminath temple, but my mind was not aware enough to follow it. My left knee was hurting. I stopped and waited for the rest of the group. It read ‘2500 steps completed’ at that place. I waited for almost 20 minutes till Shilpa and Jaya di came. I informed them about my mistake and we all resumed our journey. Jaya di was getting ‘Keep walking’ messages telepathically, so she retained her pace and went ahead and joined the Maharashtrian couple.

Kamath da and DB joined us after some time. It seems transformation by being on this holy mountain had already started in them. They seemed to be deeply inspired by the Naga Sadhus around the area and were wandering topless. They informed us that they left the ashram by 11:10 pm. This time was a close match with the message that I had received telepathically during our meditation, a few hours back.

Kamath da and DB left us soon. Our speed had slowed down considerably. Sonia di and Ruchika joined us. Sonia di did Mai-Tri to my knees. Ruchika gave some ‘blessed oil’ which Shilpa used to massage my knees with. I felt better. She also offered pain killer tablets which I denied politely. We kept climbing slowly and steadily.

As we were nearing the Neminath temple which is at a height of about 3800 steps, the pain got worse. To reach Gurushikhar Datta temple, we have to cross two peaks; one is Ambaji and the other is Gorakhnath. Gurushikhar temple was on the third peak.

I told Shilpa to go ahead and join the rest of the group, while I wait at the Ambaji temple, but she encouraged me to keep walking. Seeing my condition, Sonia di insisted that I have pain killers which I did hesitantly. I wanted to avoid them but Shilpa also advised me to have them.

Later, we saw Mohanji nearing us. Ananth was walking along with him. Mohanji blessed us and went ahead. When we reached the Neminath temple, we were delighted to see the whole group relaxing around Mohanji.

In Shilpa’s words, “It felt as if Lord Krishna was playing his flute on the banks of the river Yamuna, and all the enchanted Gopis had flocked around him. While all the Gopis were spellbound by the melodious music, our Chittachor Mohana was working on their causal layers, stripping them of their unwanted karmas. While all the Gopis were deeply assured that they were the Lord’s closest and most beloved, our Dharmastapak Mohana was truly interested in uplifting the whole society by transforming and empowering them. It was all Mohanji’s leela.”

We had a wonderful satsang for about 15 to 20 minutes. Mohanji mainly talked about walking the path with clarity and conviction. We resumed our climb. After some time, “Come to Gurushikhar,” Mohanji conveyed telepathically. So I decided to climb till the Gurushikhar Datta temple and changed my plan of staying back at the Ambaji temple.

We reached the Ambaji temple located at about 5000 steps. We prostrated from the outside and resumed our journey. The Ambaji temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peetha.

The Shakti Peethas are significant shrines and pilgrimage destinations dedicated to Devi Sati. The story goes like this: After Devi Sati’s self-immolation, Lord Shiva picked up the remains of Sati’s body and performed the Tandava, the celestial dance of destruction, across all creation. The other Gods requested Lord Vishnu to intervene and stop this destruction, for which Lord Vishnu used the Sudarshana Chakra, which cut through Devi Sati’s corpse. Various parts of the body fell at several spots all through the Indian subcontinent and formed sites which are known as Shakti Peethas today. It is said that the stomach of Devi Sati had fallen here at Girnar. There is an idol of Devi Sati in the form of Devi Chandrabhaga here.

It was 3:30 am and we were still somewhere between the Ambaji and Gorakhnath Peaks. ‘It was mission impossible to reach the Gurushikhar temple by 5:30 am with knee pain and a slow speed,’ this thought was noticed.

We kept chanting and walking. Strong cold winds were blowing at Gorakhnath Peak. It is the tallest amongst the three Peaks at about 7000 steps and the tallest peak in Gujarat too. We prayed at Gorakhnath ji’s Samadhi and started descending the Peak.

When we had descended the whole Peak, there was a gate at a junction point where on the left side, the steps led up to the Gurushikhar Datta temple while on the right side, the steps descended further to Kamandalu Kund. I requested Shilpa to move ahead, so that at least she can have this rarest opportunity of attending the aarati at Gurushikhar with Mohanji.

Junction point to Gurushikhar & Kamandalu
Junction point to Gurushikhar & Kamandalu

Shilpa and Ruchika went ahead of us and Sonia di and I kept walking after them. By now, the steps were getting very steep. We were at about 200 to 250 steps from the summit when I took a long deep breath, closed my eyes and meditated while standing. I saw Mohanji with his head wrapped with a thin red angavastra (cloth).

Just after the above vision, when I resumed the climb, I heard some noise. When I turned around, I saw the priest of the Datta temple climbing with a milk pot in his hand which was making the sound. His head was wrapped in a similar red cloth, exactly as per the above vision.

I had no strength by now to climb faster. It was 5:27 am and about 150 steps yet to climb. 5:30 am is the aarati time. It seems that there was no chance to be part of the aarati now. But Mohanji had some other plans.

As I neared the temple, I could see many people sitting along the steps waiting for the temple to open. The Maharashtrian couple was also sitting there. I returned the pain balm they had given me and thanked them.

Finally, with Mohanji’s grace, we reached the temple. Everyone from our group (except George) were waiting just outside the temple door grill along the steps in a queue. We had arrived late, probably after 5:40 am but aarati had not even started!

Lord Datta’s temple is a very small structure on the narrow Gurushikhar peak. It has a sanctum with Lord Datta’s murti and paduka at the centre. Lord Dattatreya is an incarnation of the Divine Trinity – Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. He is revered as the Adi-Guru. He meditated at this lonely peak of Girnar for nearly 12,000 years. His footprints are preserved here in this temple. It can host about 15 to 20 people but no one is allowed to stay long inside; so everyone must keep moving after darshan.

The aarati started and Mohanji along with some of our group members were able to witness it from the outside. Cold wind was blowing and everyone was fully covered in warm clothes except for Mohanji who was standing there in a dhoti and a thin white shawl. But he was standing there totally detached, completely unaware of his bodily discomfort, be it left foot swelling or extreme weather conditions.

Although I was the last one in the queue, standing on the steps; I was able to see lord Dattatreya’s idol and the priest who was performing the aarati. It was a great blessing to be with Mohanji at the Gurushikhar temple during aarati.

Mohanji was the first one to enter the temple after the aarati and I was the last one in our group. When Mohanji was coming out of the temple, Shilpa and I were entering exactly at the same time! This gave us the rarest opportunity to prostrate at Mohanji’s feet at the Gurushikhar temple; a wish to be with Datta Swarupa Mohana Sai at Gurushikhar was fulfilled!

“Welcome”, he said. “How are you?” Mohanji enquired. “Despite the physical discomforts, Mohanji you chose to be with us. Thank you so much for everything you do,” I thanked Mohanji with gratitude.

After darshan, everyone left as there was no space to sit and meditate outside the temple complex. I wanted to walk slowly. I asked Shilpa to go ahead and be with the group, but she chose to walk with me.

We slowly descended to the Kamandalu Kund ashram. It is said that Lord Dattatreya travelled from place to place for meditation. When he came to Mount Girnar, there was no drinking water. He threw his calabash (water container) with full force. The rocks cracked from this force and out flowed Mother Ganga. She was pleased and told Lord Dattatreya that her flow will continue for the welfare of devotees. After that, Lord Dattatreya kindled the Holy Fire (Akhand Dhuni) which keeps on burning here since then.

Akand Dhuni at Kamandalu Kund Ashram
Akand Dhuni at Kamandalu Kund Ashram

We had Mahaprasad at the Kamandalu Kund ashram. Then we sat near the Akhand Dhuni and meditated for some time. Every Monday, the Mahants (priests) of the ashram clean the dhuni. Then they arrange wood in the dhuni. Later, when they chant the Shri Guru Dattatreya mantras, the holy fire kindles without any external means like a match box, fuel etc. The sacred ash from the Akhand Dhuni is given as prasad to devotees. This ash is believed to be very sacred, curing many ailments.

We left Kamandalu Kund ashram. The second phase of our test began.

“Climb using both your legs,” was the message conveyed telepathically by Mohanji. As my left knee was hurt, naturally the load of my body was taken by the right knee, thereby overloading it. But I didn’t realize this, till I received this message. This had made my right knee suffer and now both knees were hurting. Because of the above message, I consciously started using both the legs and thus equally distributing my weight on both legs.

At around 10 am, we reached the Gorakhnath peak. The wind velocity was so high there that I had to sit and climb one step at a time or I felt that I would be blown away!

Guru gorakshnath ji
Guru Gorakhnath Temple

Guru Gorakhnath is considered a Maha-Yogi who did not emphasise on any specific metaphysical theory or a particular Truth. He emphasized that the search for the Truth and a spiritual life are valuable and normal goals of every man. Guru Gorakhnath championed yoga, spiritual discipline and an ethical life of self-determination as a means to reaching samadhi and one’s spiritual truths.

Dhuni at Guru gorakshnath ji
Dhuni at Guru gorakshnath ji

No samadhi of Guru Gorakhnath has ever been found. The caves where he meditated are Gorakh Gufa in Nepal, Goraksh Tilla in Pakistan and Gorakhnath temple at Girnar where Guru Gorakhnath’s dhuni still exists and are worshipped. Guru Gorakhnath is considered to be ever existent by Nath Yogis.

We prayed to Guru Gorakhnath. While standing on the highest peak of Gujarat, my knee-pain had also reached its peak! We started our descent. After every two steps, I had to sit and rest. At last, I started descending by crawling down the steps for some time, slowly. One hour had passed and we did not even cover 100 steps!

I sent a WhatsApp message to Sonia di to get Mai-Tri done to my knees, whenever possible; as network was not available there. Thoughts of hiring a doli (modified chair to carry a person) for myself had started whirling in my mind by now. We somehow reached the Ambaji temple and enquired about a doli with a shopkeeper. He said, “You will get it near the Neminath temple.”

Meanwhile at around noon, Shilpa advised me to wrap her dupatta (shawl) around my knee for support. This idea worked. We slowly started descending towards the Neminath temple. Between the Ambaji and Neminath temples, we rested near the Gomukhi Ganga temple. A family of 10 to 12 local people also sat nearby us. We had some chitchat with them. They told us that after the Lord Dattatreya paduka darshan descent, they had plans to visit the Jamal Shah Datar Darga on the nearby Datar mountain which is some 5000 steps! We were fascinated by their stamina and spirit.

Gomukhi kund
Gomukhi kund

When they came to know about my knee pain, one of the people from the group offered to massage my knees with oil that he had. I thanked him and refused politely.

On our way down, just some 500 steps before the Neminath temple, there is a small Dattatreya temple. We could see the Lord’s idol from the outside. It was very lively. I instantly started connecting mentally. The Mahant of the temple saw us and came outside. When we asked about a doli, he gave us the detailed information and finally concluded, “If you can walk, then walk. Maximum that will happen is you will arrive late by a few hours.”

While talking to the Mahant, I was able to see Lord Dattatreya’s beautiful idol behind him. I instantly remembered Mohanji’s guidance to Jaya di given the previous night, “Use a doli only if you cannot walk.” The same message was delivered again via the Mahant. We thanked and told him that Lord Datta had guided me through him.

Finally, after contemplating on this incidence; I decided to climb down on my own, no matter what time I reach the ashram. I told Shilpa about it and asked her to go ahead but she denied again. When we reached the Neminath temple, it was already 1:30 pm. There are some 16 Jain temples here which form a sort of a fort on the ledge at the top of the cliff. The Neminath temple is the largest temple amongst these temples.

This was the only place in our journey where ablution facility was available. We took permission and freshened up. Later, we sat in front of a radiant black Neminath idol for some time and left after a mini meditation. I was feeling very energetic. I connected to Mohanji and updated him that we were at the Neminath temple. Mohanji acknowledged and replied in the mind, “Eat well!”

Mohanji, you have been taking care of even small aspects of our existence like a mother. How can we thank you enough for your presence in our lives …

Upon receipt of above telepathic message, I realized that we had not had lunch till then. So we bought a few packs of chiwda, wafers, biscuits, water bottle etc. There was a big banyan tree nearby with some arrangement made of flat rocks around. We sat under the tree and had our refreshments.

On our way down, a doliwala noticed the way I was walking and voluntarily offered his doli service at a very reasonable price. But we politely refused.

After some descent, I noticed that despite it being sunny there was some sort of shade on us. I looked up at the sky and found that there was a dark cloud which was surrounded by many white clouds; they were blocking the sun for us! What a blessing! What grace!

We fed biscuits to squirrels on our way down. Our speed was extremely slow but we were enjoying the bliss of being on the sacred mountain. Chanting was happening too.

When about 2000 steps of descent were remaining, all of a sudden, we were accompanied by a troop of about 40 to 50 monkeys along with their cute babies. It was late in the afternoon. Our way was deserted except for us and the monkeys. The overall situation was exciting as well as challenging as the monkeys were very friendly and coming near us. They started climbing down with us. A monkey made a hissing noise very close to me from the back and I naturally turned to my right suddenly. I was just about to slip but with Mohanji’s grace, I was protected from the fall.

Mohanji with monkeys
Mohanji feeding the monkeys

Shilpa came to me and we both started walking together, hand in hand. After a few steps, our path was blocked by two monkeys sitting opposite to each other with their tails on the path. This reminded me of the incidence when Hanumanji had sat on Arjuna’s way and blocked his way with his tail. Some baby monkeys were playing on the path too.

We tried making some noise using our sticks without any success. I had no clue how to cross them but we kept moving. As we got near, one of the playful infants tried to hold my stick which I lifted high, a little rapidly. But the infant was determined to hold the stick and so it jumped again unsuccessfully. This made its mother also jump and our way was cleared unexpectedly!

Mohanji

After about 500 to 600 steps with the monkeys, I felt a sudden urge to deliver MPM (Mohanji Protection Method) to the monkeys. I did it. After that, all the monkeys disappeared. Later on, I noticed that the monkeys were moving with us on our left side by jumping along the trees nearby. None came near us after that!

The whole monkey episode had made our journey colourful as well as fast. We descended some 1000 steps without exhaustion. Now we could see our ashram from the top.

We had some lemonade at a nearby shop. The shopkeeper was an old man who knew Girnar’s history which he happily shared with us. He said, just 250 steps are remaining now.

As we came to the end of our yatra, near a Dattatreya temple, a Sadhu welcomed us saying, ‘Jai Girnari!’ We similarly greeted him.

We prostrated at the first step of Girnar and expressed our sincere gratitude to Lord Girnari for this sacred yatra. We finally returned to our ashram after almost 24 hours at around 9 pm!

On reaching the ashram, we wished to see Mohanji but he was resting. The rest of the group members welcomed us. Sonia di and Ruchika had already left. They left the blessed oil for me. Though everyone was exhausted, Ananth massaged my legs. I was reluctant initially but he was persistent, so I had no choice left; as such resistance is ego, I just allowed the mind to move on. As Ananth was massaging my leg, I felt as if he was massaging Mohanji’s leg. I was experiencing Ananth’s deep devotion towards Mohanji.

Next morning, everyone was ready for their return journey except us and Jaya di. Our bus was in the evening. We all went to see Mohanji. I told Mohanji that I got approval to proceed with Mai-Tri sadhana and took his blessings. We had satsang with Mohanji for about 30 minutes.

While seeing off Mohanji, whilst he was seated in the car, he looked at me and smiling mischievously said, “Hemkant, eat well.” This was the same message that he had conveyed to me telepathically at the Neminath temple, the day before! This incident must have impacted Shilpa with mechanism of telepathic messages being sent & received; as she was with me and had witnessed them.

Later that day, Jaya di, Shilpa and myself were sitting together and were sharing our experiences about how we met Mohanji, our transformations after we met him, etc.

Ananth, who had managed the whole Girnar Yatra, called and requested me to meet the Ashram Admin and resolve some issues that had happened. When I went into the Admin’s room, he exploded with his grievances. There was a caretaker with him too. I tried my best to pacify them. After sometime, when he cooled down, he explained that stuff like used bottles, tissue papers, etc. were scattered in few of our rooms which were supposed to be thrown in the dustbin. But most importantly, he was disturbed as a room key was missing.

So, I went upstairs to each room allotted to us with the caretaker, tidied the room as best as I could and searched the room for the missing key. Finally, we found it. The caretaker informed me that, this being an ashram and not a guesthouse, the rooms needed to be left neat and clean. I apologised again and assured him that we will surely take care of it in the future.

During all these happenings, I was calm and kept responding constantly without any internal distraction. Later, I noticed that this made the caretaker also calm. This is a big lesson I have experienced that when we are connected to Mohanji, no storms of life can shake our mind, as the connection brings peace within as well as around us.

We offer our deepest gratitude and humble pranaams at the holy feet of Mohanji, Guru Mandala and Lord Datta – for continuing to guide us in the path of the Ultimate, the path of Dissolution.

Words fall short to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mohanji!

Peru with Mohanji – a healing journey

By Livia

This is a personal story. Being an introvert, I wasn’t planning to write about it for a broad public, but I feel there is a reason for sharing which is beyond our preferences. May it reach those who were meant to read it.

For about ten years, I have been suffering from a lung condition, which is so rare that the medical profession doesn’t have any expertise on it and therefore there is no appropriate treatment. My lung would collapse all of a sudden. In the beginning, it was every three to four months, later on, once per month or even more often. On most of the occasions, the collapse was partial, followed by a sharp pain in the upper chest area and shortness of breath. The pain would subside after some time, but the shortness of breath would last for days; and depending on the severity of the episode, sometimes for weeks.

The years 2014-2018 were really hard for me. I was physically quite weak but was doing my best to keep up with my daily schedule and house chores. Many people from my surroundings, who are not very close to me, hadn’t noticed much, but I was exhausted all the time. When I finish my obligations, I would withdraw to recharge because my energy was very low. Also since 2014, I wasn’t able to travel by plane because of this condition. The pressure change in the cabin during a flight could worsen my health. Living in Western Europe with parents and family in the Balkan region, it was quite a challenge to travel. Needless to say, it was exhausting me on different levels, the physical, but also the anticipation and fears connected to it (“what if it happens…,” “will this ever come to an end,” “would I be able to heal,” and “what if it gets even more severe?”).

Being a holistic therapist myself, I tried many modalities and nothing really gave tangible results.

When I met Mohanji in 2017 in Hvar (Croatia), where I traveled for three long days by train, bus and ferry and, probably from the exhausting journey, by the end of it, I got another episode of a collapsed lung. I was weak and worried. Mohanji told me that the condition was to do with one of my previous lives and advised me to have a Mai-Tri session with Devi. During the session, Devi saw me in a war-like scene, being physically abused by men in uniform and an iron claw-kind of a weapon being forced into my chest. She didn’t know anything about my problem at that point in time. The resemblance of this picture with the sharp pain in my chest I was feeling at the beginning of every episode was stunning.

My second retreat with Mohanji was at the Bosnian Pyramids in 2018. I came by airplane! It was my first flight after four years. I was already feeling Mohanji’s protection and although my health was still not good with many collapses, pain, and weakness, I felt it’ll be ok to fly. And it was.

Every time I met Mohanji, receiving his blessings, cleansing, and with my practices and connection to his energy, my condition started improving gradually. I also started sessions with a healer who told me that my problem was of a karmic nature and therefore the modalities that are not addressing that deep level cannot have much impact. The collapses were gradually getting less frequent with more time to recuperate in between.

At the end of 2018, I saw the announcement of the Peru trip with Mohanji scheduled for April 2019. My first thoughts were: how great this journey must be, such beautiful nature, how magnificent it all looked in the photos and how precious the experiences were of the participants who went there the year before. The energy of the female principle, Shakti, the nurturing, soothing, beautiful energy of Pacha mama and the impact that it had on the people was heartwarming. But my rational mind reminded me of my condition, the flight of 14 hours and the altitude of the places where the pilgrimage was taking place. Yes, it looked great, but it wasn’t for me. I dismissed the whole idea, maybe some other time. I just whispered to myself: if I have to go, I will get a sign, but I had no expectations as it really looked impossible.

One morning at the beginning of March just before waking up, I had such a clear dream of Mohanji. He was sitting at a big table together with many other people and I was sitting next to him. I had one question on my mind, regarding that trip to Peru, but I wasn’t able to utter the question, although I wanted to ask. So he reached out to me, by telepathically asking me what the problem was with that trip…”Is it about the money?” “No,” I answered, “It is about my condition…” then he said, “It’ll be taken care of.” I further said something like, “I was expecting a sign.” He said, “Well if this is not good enough…” I woke up in amazement, in complete awe! “This is extraordinary! I have never had a dream so clear before! I told my husband, and he acknowledged my thoughts and supported my intention to go. The same morning I wrote to the organization of the trip to ask if it was still possible to apply since it was only one month to the beginning of the program. And of course, it was!

This was quite a long introduction, but necessary to explain how this Peru trip happened for me in the first place. The preparations for the trip were made in a very short time. I would lie if I said that I wasn’t anxious or that my mind didn’t doubt the whole ‘invitation’ dream. But I was committed to go and really happy that I was going, despite all odds. Just before the trip, I googled a couple of names of the other participants and amongst them all, I remembered a lady, Thea, a Mai-Tri practitioner from the US who looked very light and seemed to have fine energy. I thought to myself how nice it would be if I could have a chance to talk to that lady… and sure enough a couple of days later, although the original schedule was different, Thea was sitting in the same mini-bus (transfer to the hotel) at the airport in Cusco together with one other lady from the US! So, the three of us traveled together, had a beautiful exchange of life stories and great fun. What a perfect beginning to the journey! I already felt that soothing, feminine energy that I was so looking forward to.

Over the next few days, when we were traveling from the hotel to the places of interest, I was again sitting next to Thea on the bus. As she already knew about my health concerns, she offered to do a Mai-Tri session for me, right there on the bus! I was really pleased with her offer and thankfully accepted it. She did a couple of sessions on different bus trips. She would invoke Mohanji’s presence and his energy was palpable to her. It was very special and a little surreal because Mohanji in his physical body was sitting in the front line of the same bus!!

Although I feel weak and exhausted at home, I felt very energetic during the whole Peru pilgrimage. I felt a lot of soothing energies, lots of love from the group members and people surrounding us. I climbed to the Sun Gate of Machu Picchu, walked and chatted with people, in some places at the altitude of almost 4000m without any physical issues! It was completely unbelievable from the perspective of a rational mind!

On the last day on a bus to an Inka site, I sat next to Mohanji. That was my first chance on this trip to talk to Mohanji about my personal issues. We talked about ways of protection from negative energies, expressing positivity, non-doership and some personal issues that I brought up. He gave me some practical advice and then said, “You are much more liberated now than when you came here!” I looked at him a bit puzzled. He said, “Your lung, how is it now?” Then it occurred to me that I was breathing with full lung capacity with no pain! I really felt liberated at being able to freely move, walk, and climb mountain trails without any pain, shortage of breath or tiredness. How smoothly it was all going for me and how different it was compared to my state of health I was experiencing at home. Mohanji was tirelessly working on me and the result was really liberating! I was immensely happy, but I was also wondering if I was going to be able to keep this state and stay liberated from the pain and suffering after I return home and resume my ‘normal life.’

Now we are almost eight months later in linear time and I still feel and cherish the gift I’ve got from Mohanji on the Peru trip. I still feel quite well physically and much more at peace mentally. Although I am a worrying type of person, I haven’t been anxious or thinking much of the possibility that the condition might reoccur. I am much more at peace with my health. The condition is still not completely gone, but the episodes occur less frequently and they are far milder than they used to be. I have started traveling by plane again on a regular basis!

I feel deep gratitude to Mohanji for healing me on many levels. I feel that the healing started as soon as I connected with him for the first time and culminated during the Peru trip last spring. But of course, the journey doesn’t end there. I’m still ‘rowing my boat’ and the weather changes. After this experience of healing that is so real and unquestionable to me, and after practically experiencing what Mohanji meant by “It’ll be taken care of,” deep in my being, I now feel that I can relax and have faith.

Thank you Mohanji, for this wonderful experience! Thank you for your work and availability to every being who asks or connects to you in any way! Thank you for your teachings, they make my journey smoother and my life much more meaningful!

With deep gratitude.

The art of seeing rainbows at night

By Urav and Sandra Sankar

It’s like being aboard a rocket cruiser named ‘Master of the Universe’, where having no expectations is the only thing that’s going to take you to warp speed and inter-dimensional travel.

In meditation, we are able to leave this so-called reality and race into the so-called unknown. In dance, we lose our mind amidst cosmic spirals of ecstatic bliss. In walking, we connect to the integral nature of the Self, to the heartbeat of Shakti Maa. We are blessed with so many gifts to gather on this bountiful path of liberation, making life lighter, brighter and happier.

In this world, the big thing is ‘fearlessness’. A picture of a typical Amazon Warrior pops into my head. No. That’s too limiting. Let’s just say that this feels more like being a fearless Warrior of Love and Light. In this beautiful life, that Light is Mohanji. Check that. The darkness is all Mohanji too. In the absence of duality, we find Mohanji. Everything is Mohanji.

So, there is nothing to be scared of, right? Our beloved Parabrahma says ‘I am with you. Keep walking.’ Yes, we also run, jump, swoop, dive and leap with carefree abandon. In doing so we acclimatise to fateful and fearless truths that awareness brings to the table. We begin to flow through the tests and curves that life deals out.

This is all our beloved Mohanji’s grace. Nothing can stop karma. Only beloved Mohanji’s grace can. Contemplate on the waves of karmic providence that created the circumstances that brought us here. To this point. This timeline. To exactly this time-space continuum. Frankly, this feels very much like surfing. Low waves, high waves, sometimes outright tsunamis!

No worry when our beloved Mohanji is here. The great sobering lesson that grows on you is complete humility. Every breath becomes thank you, thank you, thank you, beloved Mohanji. Humbled gratitude to You for all the ‘saves’ not just in this life but all lives.

Guru’s light is like an exquisite prism of conscious revelation. Such is the grace of a timely breath swooping ‘reveal’ of the Absolute by Mother Divine. Our Mohanji’s canvas of innumerable colours illuminates every facet of our lives.

A few nights ago, our young son saw the beautiful outline of a form draped in hues of different rays of light, standing next to his bed. The colours that dominated the spectrum were red, yellow and blue. The astral form of our beloved Parabrahma also had three dark stripes of red, yellow and blue across the forehead and both feet.

This was part of the long-distance Mai-Tri Method healing. The healer was in a different timeline in another part of the world. What an exquisite truth! Consciousness has no distance. Call Mohanji. He comes. Think of Mohanji. He is there! Always present!

Think of our mind like a switch that goes off and on. When we switch off our mind, we experience the glory of Mohanji in 360 degrees. Children do that naturally. A few days later, our son caught sight of a rainbow and said that was exactly what he saw that night.

Unity in Oneness

By Dragana Tešanović

bosnian pyramids
A view of the Bosnian Pyramids

During the last several days of the program on the Bosnian Pyramids in 2019, I was feeling quite confused. Everything was so overwhelming for me as it seemed that there were so many people with whom I did not interact. Until now I did not understand that Mohanji brings all of His people (by saying His people, I mean people who are connected to His consciousness) with Him no matter where and how distant they are physically. As I realized this, I remembered several other occasions when He was on some pilgrimage and I had a feeling that I was there with Him.

I want to share one such experience. I have to start from the very beginning as His ways are very mysterious. It was the year 2018. In January I had to pass my academic writing exam. There were several themes to write about. I chose to write about a theme with the title, ‘What would I change if I had a time machine?’ Naturally, I wrote that I am proud of everything that happened in my past and if it did not happen, I would not be here now. I also wrote that if I had a time machine, I would like to return to my mother`s womb, because that is the only place where I would feel secure and carefree. This is because I do not feel as secure now as I should be. The only thing I know is that I wrote the essay from the bottom of my heart without any expectations.

virgin mary
Virgin Mary – Ukraine

Two months later, I received the call to go and visit the greatest sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary (Shakti manifestation) in Ukraine, which was very affordable for me at that time. At the very same time, Mohanji was on a pilgrimage to Machu Picchu (Shakti place). What makes this place in Ukraine so powerful is the spring from which water started flowing when Mother Mary descended from the heights and touched the stone with her feet.

Besides this, the most interesting thing is that there is a cave in which a saint called Jov spent 20-30 years in silence, and guess what – the cave is in the shape of a womb, and it can hold only up to 4 people at one time. It is a place which the orthodox Christians usurped as their own. In this cave, I witnessed that beyond duality there is only oneness. So the trip was heavy.

There was only one person who knew me on the bus, and after several hours I started feeling the pressure of odd looks that I received. I was looked upon strangely as I did yoga, meditated, so on and so forth. Some of them approached me with the speech that these things I was doing were not good…blah, blah. So my mind started receiving the info about how my path was wrong. It was not easy for me to stay firm and stable around 60 other souls looking upon me like a possessed person, hahaha.

Mohanji

I just held Mohanji`s hand and was calling out to Him during the entire trip. I said to myself, “Ok, this is just one of His leelas. I know that this path is my life and I will wait for the confirmation as a witness.”

I visited a few other places of high energy before I entered the cave on the last day. People shared some stories that the cave would let you in and out if you are not possessed or something like that, and it won’t let you go out if you have great sins. Terrifying stories. I have to be honest, for a moment I was a bit frightened.

What happened next was mind-blowing! Even though there was a queue in front of the cave, when it was my turn to enter, I somehow ended up alone there. So there was only one thought with which I entered the cave, but I received much more. The thought was, “Please, let this path be the one for me.”

After several seconds, Saint Jov, whose presence one can tangibly feel inside this cave, became one with Mohanji and showed me that separation only exists within the mind. To my surprise, my awareness also lifted beyond the dual mind and I felt like I was one with them. I felt everything around me was part of me at that moment. Then I realized that my every heartbeat radiates a certain vibration, and if my heart radiates purity, the same thing will show outside (as within, so without) and vice versa. That realization gave me the strength to follow my path, the path of pathlessness. The path of unconditional love, non-violence, kindness, compassion, goodness, and companionship.

I am so grateful to Mohanji, without whom all of this would be impossible to realize. Before Mohanji, every breath of mine was a struggle. Now He empowers me to live my life purposefully and adds more meaning to it. And yes, when He says that He is with us, He really is. The only difference is in the mind. We think from the mind that the connection is lost. But Mohanji dwells within our hearts.

Thank you Mohanji. I surrender everything to you. I love you, through each and everyone as per my capacity.

JAI MOHANJI!

Transformation by divine guidance

By Reena Kumar

Mohanji_on_Positivity

Salutations to my Guru, who is an infinite ocean of compassion, grace, and bliss. Mohanji showers His grace 24×7 on everyone, everywhere. Mohanji has transformed us completely by His grace. Now, all the concepts, fears and stresses have vanished. He has taught me to flow through life and accept the person and situation as it is without complaining.

Earlier I wrote about how my son got decent marks in his 10th standard examination, in spite of having an accident. Even after the 10th standard, his attitude towards studies was casual. His present school knew about his carelessness. So the school didn’t want to give him admission to the 11th standard. But again, a miracle took place. By Mohanji’s grace, they agreed to give him admission. At the Parent-Teacher meetings, I was told again and again about the conduct of my son towards studies because he never completed his homework on time and he used to delay submitting his projects too. Annoyed by his pattern of indifference and carelessness, we scolded him and told him to be diligent and sincere.

That night, Mohanji appeared in his teacher’s dream. She has never met Mohanji. She told me how Mohanji came in a white kurta-pyjama and instructed her to take special care of my son. It was an early morning dream. We were left speechless by this dream. Our Mohanji deeply cares for each one of us around the clock.

We were getting complaints from the school regarding my son constantly. Every day we used to sit and explain to him. He got very few marks in his class test. Yet another night, we got so frustrated, we shouted at him. And later we started crying as there was no improvement in his class test score.

That night, Freedom meditation was published. We strongly felt it as a gift from Mohanji for children and their parents who were going through the same situation us. We hoped our son would benefit from it too. Mohanji is our ‘Sankat Mochan’ (name of Lord Hanumanji). Whenever we are gloomy, Mohanji reaches out to us either through a dream or in the form of a message. But the whole year passed and my son couldn’t clear his 11th standard.

In the report card of the 11th Standard (grade), it was written that he will be retained in the same class. I requested the Principal to give him a retest to help him clear the exams. Even after the retest, he was short of a few marks. Through Mohanji’s leela, from being retained in the same class, the report card was now changed to retest.

We went to many schools seeking admission, but no school was ready to take him. Again, I requested the Principal to write in the transfer certificate that my son should be promoted to the 12th class. The Principal agreed but it was suggested that retests should be conducted by the new school. We went to 14 schools, but they all said that the old school should do the retest. Now we were exhausted. The new session of the 12th class had already started since March and now it was the month of May. My son was not able to get admission and he was lagging behind by two months. Construction work was just completed at my place and this long search for admission into a school left us totally drained out.

My son was longing to meet Mohanji. It so happened that Mohanji was there at Dr. Wasir’s place. It was a golden opportunity for us and I thanked Dr. Wasir for contacting us. Mohanji said, “Your son was missing me badly. So I gave this thought to Doctor, to call you.” Mohanji is our Vighnaharta, another name for Lord Ganesha who removes obstacles. Our Avadhoota said, “10th was good and 12th will be good.” This sentence of Mohanji helped us sail smoothly in the middle of this turmoil.

Deep inside my heart, I had firm faith that my son will get admission into the 12th standard, sooner or later. After hopping from one school to the other, my son was still not able to get admission anywhere. So someone suggested to him, “Why don’t you repeat your 11th standard?”  But the boy was adamant on not repeating. To save his one year, we thought of changing the board (of studies to which a school is affiliated). My son was in a school that followed the Haryana state board pattern. We thought of shifting him from Haryana to some other state, or from CBSE to Haryana Board, or from science stream to Arts, but all in vain.

At last, by the divine leela of Mohanji, he got admission in a school which was hardly three kilometers from our house. My son’s attitude changed. He became sincere and polite. Mohanji has transformed my son totally. He’s a new person, always positive in all the aspects.

Let any situation happen in your life no matter what people say. Whatever blockages are there, our Mohanji will remove them. Follow hundred percent whatever He tells us. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Never let the monkey mind come in between you and your Guru. Destiny brings the Master and the mind takes him/her away. Keep your Guru firmly in your heart. We are not the doer. Surrender at the lotus feet of Mohanji. He will deliver at the right time, at the right place. Gratitude is a very small word to describe the divine leela and grace of Mohanji.

We are in His divine protection always. May my family and I be at the lotus feet of our Mohanji till our last breath. Infinite gratitude every second to our Mohanji for blessing, awakening, guiding and transforming us! Koti koti pranaams Mohanji!

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 9 – “Choosing faith over fear”

quote on faith

We introduce Chapter 9 of Mohanji Satcharita with this beautiful narration by Priti Rupee! Fear can be overwhelming unless we accept it and surrender it to our Guru with faith. Priti shares how she overcame this deep seated fear through sheer faith that gave her the confidence to forge ahead!

Choosing faith over fear

By Priti Rupee Bhardwaj, London

Two days ago, I had the opportunity to perform my first HSTY Yoga class which at first turned out to be a daunting task for me to perform. Both Shene and Subhasree were unavailable and I was the only other HSTY trained person available to step in. (It was Mohanji’s leela to get me out of my tamasic/non confident state). Mohanji knows what we are capable of, but our mind takes us away from it, adding in all our past fears, impressions and future notions.

About a week ago, just when  we were about to leave for the ‘Mohanji’s consciousness programme at Slough Temple by acharya Subhasree’, I fell over a pothole.

Yoga at SLough_12May

The first thought in my head lying there on the ground was of a previous fall, which caused fractures in two places in my foot, about  4 years back during a house move. Coupled with a back issue, for whatever reason, it took a long time to heal. Being on my own, this prevented me from planning a major house move, a pivotal time in my life where I wanted to move forward in my journey. But my past fears, apprehensions, impressions and projections had caught up with me!

Mohanji quote - destiny

Sitting upright from the fall outside Subhasree’s house, with pain going through my foot in the same place as 4 years ago, my head was bombarded by hundreds of thoughts about the past present and future, all not looking very good as I was also planning another trip to India.  However, I took a couple of deep breaths and connected with Mohanji’s Consciousness in my head, and sincerely prayed and surrendered this all to Him – “Please Mohanji, do what is karmically possible for my journey forward, I surrender to my highest good.” Subhasree immediately placed her hand on my foot without even being asked and did Mai-Tri Method of healing.

With Mohanji’s grace and blessings, I was aided up. I brushed myself up and in my head was ready for the Slough temple Mohanji event. I was volunteering to take the photographs during the event as Subhasree was conducting the programmes of Yoga, Meditation and Conscious Dancing.

As I took photos hobbling around the room for nearly three hours, the foot started to hurt more and more and before I knew it, the foot was swelling up! After the Slough event, I sat quietly during dinner at Subhasree’s home, listening to the satsang going on between some devotees, with a hot water bottle on my foot for the soreness, but I could feel things were not right. My foot  was swelling up. we decided to visit to the hospital (at this time of the night, it could be only the Accident & Emergency hospital) and check for any fracture. However, before leaving for the hospital, I requested Subhasree to do Mai-Tri healing on my foot and she did.

I was then taken to my local Accident and Emergency hospital by Sivayinee, who patiently drove me 33 miles and sat for six hours with me. M family, the true family!  She took me around in a wheel chair for two sets of X-rays and waited for the doctor’s consultancy only to find out at 2am there was nothing amiss, it was just a sprained foot . Oh my gosh, what joy! There was nothing amiss! My mind rested for a while, but during the six hours of waiting, the mind was taking me to some painful places which I thought I had resolved, but it was taking me there again and again. What I needed to do was to go deeper within and surrender all without expectations of results, resolving in my heart that whatever happens, Mohanji will carry me.

The difference between blind faith and full faith – a video of Mohanji’s talk!

Milica, a Mai-Tri practitioner in South Africa, later told me that Mohanji had smoothed away a karmic fall from a past impression, making it take place before my coming trip to India. I couldn’t believe it!

As I sat to contemplate about the whole situation, my fear, rebounce of painful memories, I realised one thing very clearly. All along, from the time of the fall till I got the final result from the hospital, Mohanji was with me. He was with me when I received the Mai Tri healing from Subhasree immediately after the fall, He was me when I was hovering around with my sore foot to click the pictures during the programme, He was with me when I was in the satsang later at Subhasree’s house watching my swollen foot, He was with me during my 6 hours waiting at the hospital! Whatever fear that was propping up, Mohanji put them to rest.

Finally, a week later, after few days of rest and few doses of pain killers, I was up and running on my feet and was able to do the scheduled HSTY Yoga session, as planned. This was the final proof to myself, how Mohanji was looking after me!

Mohanji’s unconditional love and protection has again helped me move forward, taking the edge out of my karma, enabling me to witness His pure heart and showing me what faith and surrendering is.

Mohanji quote

Today, I feel that ‘I’ had nothing to do with the yoga teaching. The mind tells me I could have done a lot better, but hey, the mind will always chatter on. Mohanji was carrying me all this time, even during my fractured foot days. My learning curve was to let go COMPLETELY and FLOW like the river whatever comes or goes. It’s all good, nothing is ever ‘bad,’ it is just a part of my journey to my deeper ‘Self.’

As Mohanji says, “Faith is important. I have faith…. This statement is not important. Faith should be practiced at every point in life, with surrender. E.g. this is a situation, this is me and my intelligence, and I have done 100% from my side…. Rest, leave it to the Masters, whichever Master(s) you believe in. Surrender at His feet and never look back. It will work. Or it will be like planting a seed and digging it out all the time to check whether it has sprouted.”

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 8 – “A state of Expanded Consciousness”

consciousness

In this 6th story of Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 8, we have a beautiful sharing by Ilina, who found that connecting to the Master helped her overcome a deep-seated emotional trauma in her life. Through the process of ignoring her mind’s negative chatter and surrendering her expectations, she had a wonderful experience which helped her momentarily see the underlying Consciousness in all creation. Read other inspiring stories from Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 8!

 By Ilina Vedran, Macedonia

At the age of 14, I faced a big trauma in my life, which left a deep emotional mark on me. That was the reason I started to explore spirituality. For a long time, I worked to overcome the trauma and thought that I could fully get over it. However, there was still one part of the experience that pulled me back whenever I faced certain situations in which my security was questioned.

After my retreat with Mohanji, I felt deep cleansing of emotions but underwent hits to my ego, which were unpleasant. At one moment, the situation calmed down. At that point, I thought it was all over, but unknown to me, it was just a preparation for a bigger test that was about to happen.

One day I woke up feeling anxious. I had a feeling as if there was a time bomb inside me that could explode at any moment. To diffuse the anxiety, I started to do meditations and tried breathing techniques, but nothing helped.  The feeling was so intense that it started to reflect on my relationship with my son. He started to become furious and expressed that anger onto me.  I became aware that there was something big being expressed, and that Mohanji was guiding me through the process. That evening I sat down to meditate and suddenly I realised the reason for the situation that I was in. It was the trauma from my childhood – my mother’s death, which I thought I had got over. I felt so heavy, I couldn’t breathe. There was an unbearable pain in my heart. I decided to text Mohanji.

Mohanji on emotions

The next morning, I saw His reply when I awoke. Mohanji’s message to me said that this issue had a long history and that it was being repeated over and over. He recommended me to get Mai-Tri treatment and to speak to Devi. After reading His message, I felt disappointed and my mind started to make up stories like “He can’t help me; that’s why He was sending me to Devi.” I took a conscious decision to ignore those thoughts and I did write to Devi. However, for whatever reasons, Devi did not reply. This, I felt, was another test of my faith. My mind kept coming up with doubts and negative thoughts. In one moment, my mind’s chatter said to forget Mohanji, but on the other side, deep inside me, I realised that my mind was feeding me illusions.

Mohanji on Oneness

I decided to turn off my phone and stop looking for answers. I sat down to meditate. During the meditation, I started asking myself: “Why am I alone?” Suddenly I felt intense energy, after which all the emotions were cleared, and what was left was a strong pain in my chest. I continued with my daily routine, but before going to bed, I again sat to meditate. Some intuitive force was guiding me through the meditation.

Then, all of a sudden, in my mind, my mother appeared in front of me. Many times I said to her, “You are free, go to the light,” but this time, something happened! I felt strong energy in my heart centre, and got a feeling as if something was taken away from there! Immediately, I fell asleep.

The next morning, I was feeling amazing peace! As I put my hand on my chest, I felt physical pain on the front of my chest, as though I had a bruise. However, I continued with my day without feeling any further pain. I was taking my child to a cinema, in a mall. As we were walking towards the mall, my awareness was different from how it had been before. After I dropped off my son, I decided to go shopping.

As I walked in the mall, I began feeling a lightness in my stomach centre, that rapidly spread over my whole body. Then, something unfamiliar started happening to me. I was aware of my body, but did not feel bound to it! I had a feeling that I was all over the mall. My mind pulled me to enter one shop, and I started to touch the clothes, but nothing that had a form, neither objects nor people attracted my attention. Everything was the same for me: insignificant! No material object could occupy my awareness.

Mohanji on concepts

At this point, my mind got confused, so I decided to leave the mall and started walking back home. On the way, I saw a white pigeon, which didn’t fly away when I came close. In the tradition that I was brought up in, a white pigeon is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Deep inside me, I felt Mohanji’s consciousness and became aware that I was feeling so peaceful as never before. Everything that had happened before, came into my mind and it was crystal clear to me that I didn’t need any information from outside, because deep inside I knew the truth.  Mohanji just took my attention so that He could help me, to work on me, and in no moment did He leave me alone.

Thinking back, I understand that I had to drop my expectations and to surrender, in order for the change to take place. The scenario of Devi’s non-response was arranged for my own good. It is always thus, but our mind’s chatter takes us away from the truth. Mohanji, on a subtle level, continually brings us face to face us with the Truth. His consciousness is always with us because it is part of us. Since I met Him, I have stopped caring about the things that have a form. I have not tried to analyse who He is, because something was intuitively pulling me to Him. I felt His unconditional love, and I realised that I was feeling my own true Self. His love is awakening love within me, a deep love that exists behind the noise of the mind. His presence reminds me of the things that I forgot when I came into this world: my real I.

After this experience, the sense of being-ness is getting awakened in me every day. It is an unexplainable feeling of lightness and love.

As Mohanji says, “If it passes, it is just an experience, but if it stays, it is yours.”

Temptations and emotions do come up from time to time, but for me, they do not have a significant meaning any more. I know that behind all of them is the Consciousness that connects me to Mohanji. I am that Consciousness, we all are.

Thank You Mohanji for showing me where to look, in order to reach the joy of my being!
