A WAKE-UP CALL

By Monika Dizdarevic

October 7th 2022

Astrologers told me that from my 30th year onwards, I would have a shift in my life. October 7, 2022, was my 30th birthday, the same day Mohanji had his car accident. I wondered how the accident might have happened precisely on my birthday.

Some of you may know that I have recently been assisting Mohanji as a part of his personal team. I can tell you that even those close to him do not fully understand who he is and how he operates. We can assume we may have some experiences; we can superficially understand to some extent, but we cannot comprehend fully because of our limited minds. We cannot understand the vastness of the Universe in a human form, and then we take the living Masters for granted. This was my case and the case of many others.

During my time with Mohanji after the accident, it so happened that, through a conversation with me, he kept repeating many times, “What if Mohanji died on October 7?” My heart skipped every time he said that, and I wondered at the meaning of this, being my birthday. His mentioning this shook me every time.

I don’t wish this blog leaves us more attached to a Master’s physical presence or sobbing over his accident, but the opposite – to have awareness. I am writing this so we realize who the person we have next to us is. We have him so easily, not realizing how luxurious his presence is. The fact that he’s living, breathing, and walking on this planet.

I am writing this for all of us to wake up! For us to use the physical presence of a living Master, an Avatar, and to reach our highest in this lifetime. And to share his teachings as much as possible, as fast as possible, with the world so that many others can reach their highest in this lifetime too. It is possible because we have him.

Mohanji’s accident is a good reminder. A trigger, a turning point. A warning. I suggest not losing this opportunity! It is up to us to let go of all our patterns and emotions to see what aspects we need to change to improve. Observe, contemplate deeper, keep changing, accept, and let go. It is possible. This shift is happening within me too. We tend to worship all Saints and Masters who are not in their bodies anymore, but the ones right in front of us are difficult to understand. We don’t understand how they work. Then we judge, we have expectations, and we criticize. We say they are not real if they do not solve all our life problems. We do not appreciate them. And then, one day, it might be too late.

The accident happening on the same day as my birthday led to a realization that time is limited. Destiny brought me a Master. If I leave, If I take it for granted, I lose this chance; it is my loss, not his. As Mohanji says, “A true master makes diamonds out of stones. It hurts a lot to become a diamond; it takes a lot of craving. If one stone leaves, for the stone, it’s a big loss because it loses a chance to become a diamond. For the master, another stone will come, and diamonds will be made. Master loses nothing.”

I suggest not to leave a Master’s side, and he will hold your hand forever. You might not understand what they do, why they do it, and how they work, but that doesn’t matter; just cling on, hold on, and stay on. Trust them fully! Wholeheartedly. Surrender your existence to them, and they will take you as high as you can go.

As I am writing this to you, I am writing it to myself, too, as a reminder. This is a true wake-up call. As we discover, the accident was Mohanji’s rebirth. It was mine too.

This picture was taken on my birthday as a joke to celebrate dissolution. Hopefully, this rebirth is the last.

Lessons living with Mohanji – Days 119 & 120

by Christopher Greenwood

Day 119 Lesson – The guru principle

Good morning everybody. I hope that you’re doing well.

Today, I wanted to continue sharing my understanding of a conversation between Mohanji and a visitor. This man was already actually connected to a Master and a Guru. He had many questions about spirituality, spiritual path, life difficulties, and challenges he was encountering. He was a Kriya Yogi; he was practising this.

Sometimes these conversations are a real treat for me because today, we’re mainly focused on completing the work that we need to; there’s a big to-do list, and it’s growing. I keep saying that now I’m scared to talk to people because every time I speak to someone to cross one thing off, two more appear. So generally, I’m avoiding people at the moment. But when others come, it gives an opportunity for Mohanji to speak from time to time. Because otherwise, there’s no real chance for the satsang style talks, which you might be used to in retreats, to happen. It is just activity from morning until evening.

I share today the key things that I understood and took when they were speaking about the guru principle and the importance of having one point of focus, one steady focus as a master, as a guru on the spiritual path. They were saying that a master is not an accident. Mohanji explained that a Master would come into your life at a particular time and space, and that’s exactly how it should be.

Definitely, for me, this happened at a point in time when I had a deep need for questions in life. I came in contact with Mohanji, who could answer everything I was asking with absolute clarity. In this conversation, he said that once we’re connected, once we’ve decided, once we’ve tested, once we’ve said, “Okay, this is something for me”, it’s then our job to stay connected. Because it’s not the person, or the form, or the personality we’re connecting to. It’s the state or the frequency of the Master. The form is that point of reference for us, so we should be consistent with that.

This was also interesting because this man already had a Master who he was speaking openly about. I didn’t get the impression he was shopping around, like wanting to see what was better. He had genuine questions. What was interesting for me is that Mohanji explained that actually, there’s no space between him and the other Master. All that exists is this man’s connection to his Master, and all that his Guru would speak, Mohanji would also speak. So what he was speaking to him essentially would have been the words his Master, his own Guru, would have spoken. Not that Mohanji would say anything different.

This was interesting for me because as I understood and as the conversation went on, the Guru is more a principle, the guru tattva, which works through many bodies, and that principle is inside us. So when we become closer and closer to that principle, we begin to merge with it. I have to say that this is from my notes and understanding of the conversation, just to be clear with that. Mohanji shared that it’s actually the mind that begins to create the distance, to create the duality between that principle inside us and actually the external Guru or the Master. So that’s the illusion we live.

They explained that when we connect with the Guru, either inside or outside, with reverence and gratitude, and we nurture that principle, it’s actually the principle that’s been nurtured inside us, which brings us closer in connection. But also in the opposite direction, when doubts, criticisms, judgments, and prejudices start being formed in our minds, we start to create a distance; we’re weakening that connection. So our job on the path is always removing the doubts, not entertaining them, whatever happens. Because once we’ve experienced a connection, tested it and decided that this is where I’m going, the benefit comes from sticking to that, and it can take us all the way. Also, when we give dakshina or an offering sincerely from our heart, it goes everywhere; the guru principle inside us, as well as what we see externally. That’s good for our growth. This is symbolic as well, something as simple as just giving a flower as a recognition.

So I really liked that conversation, and I also admired how Mohanji guided him to connect with his own Guru. Because this clearly wasn’t somebody who was jumping around from one to another, but he had sincere questions. Mohanji answered them, which I’m sure he’ll be benefited from. But also, he reinforced maintaining that single point of connection. So he didn’t give anything of himself. He simply just delivered and guided this person back to his own Guru, his Master, which was great to witness.

I hope you have a good day ahead. We will speak soon.

Day 120 Lesson – Handling poison

Good morning everybody. I hope that you’re doing very well.

Yesterday was a big day here at the house in Bangalore. We prepared for the Maha Shivaratri celebrations, and Mohanji’s satsang, which was fantastic. The Homa, which started at 7 pm yesterday and went through probably till after 7 am this morning – continuously through the night, chanting, the fire ceremony was really special. The morning started with the abhishekam for all the Shiva idols we have here. It is ritualistic bathing where we wash them with water, and then preparations start for both events. Although most people have stayed up continuously through the night chanting, everybody still has an energy about them. It has really been a good morning so far after this event.

Yesterday for me was a really great satsang. I don’t know how many people would have seen it. Mohanji spoke about Shiva as a state in a way that I hadn’t heard before. He told a story about the churning of the ocean of milk with the positive beings on one side and the negative beings on the other. And they were churning this ocean of milk to release the Amrit, the celestial nectar. If you drink that nectar, you become eternity. In that churning, all the poisons came out first, which had the power to burn all the worlds. So rather than let that be in the hands of the demons, who could then destroy everything, Shiva took that himself. He didn’t swallow it; he didn’t spit it out. But he kept it in his neck.

Mohanji explained it much better than I’ll now, that it is the churning of our minds all the time; we’re swinging between positive and negative emotions. What generally comes out first is always that venom, maybe anger, jealousy, hatred, etc. That has the power to burn our world because of its impact. And the same, if we swallow that and suppress it, it also has equal damage. So by holding it in that state of awareness, we can move through it. That’s the message I took from that. But I’d recommend that you watch the satsang; it’s there on YouTube.

In that same satsang, he shared that Shiva is stillness, liberation, and liberation from our identifications. Firstly, with the body, we are this body. Secondly, we’re this personality, identity. Then thirdly, he spoke about our relations. Generally, we identify ourselves in relation to somebody else; I’m the father of somebody, I’m the brother, I’m the mother, I’m the husband, I’m the wife of this person. When we begin to realize that we’re actually not these, that’s when freedom begins. That’s walking the path of Shiva to a state of stillness and liberation. I learned some great things from that; I hadn’t heard Mohanji speak about Shiva before in that way.

Then after the satsang, we started the Homa. This was really nice because the purpose of the Homa was for all those positively connected to Mohanji and their families to be completely protected from any kind of negativities and enhance awareness of the highest possibility in our lifetime. So primarily, protection and enhancement and that highest possibility of awareness. Anger, jealousy, and competition are all weaknesses, and the highest possibility is compassion, kindness, and love.

The format we had, which was really nice actually, was that all the people who had applied and joined this program for the Homa, we had a coconut for each name. People were making the sankalpa for that person and offering on their behalf in the fire to be received well. I think we had over 180, and it took some time for the coconuts to burn in the fire. So it was all through the night. But it was still a great event in itself. Many people joined on zoom as well and stayed right through to the end. It was great to do that with the group, with the family.

I noted from that satsang, too, that Mohanji shared how he’s enhancing and empowering the lives of people, even individually, so that they can live a full and effective life. He reminded us that we come into this life, we’re born, and we will leave and die at some point in time. In between, we have something called life. But rarely is anyone recognized in the world; 7.5 billion people, and we only really know a few of them. Mohanji’s aim is that through empowerment, everybody contributing to the world will have a face; they’ll have recognition by adding value to society.

The lesson I took away is the importance of sharpening willpower, the iccha shakti, the will to do something to the point where you’ve decided every breath you take adds value to society. He said that if that type of decision is made, it’s bound to happen; it has to happen, and the whole of nature will support it. That was the message which I took away. Now, as I’ve been up all night, I’ve written down, and I’ll probably spend today taking some time to think about that and the other points I took from the satsang.

I hope you have a great day and will speak to you soon.

Lessons Living with Mohanji – Days 79 & 80

by Christopher Greenwood

Day 79 Lesson – Plans change as per the call

Good morning everybody. I hope you’re doing well.

Yesterday was another day of constant change, I would say. From morning until evening, the plans shifted and changed. I’ve shared before that it requires quite a bit of flexibility to travel with Mohanji, which continues time and time again, day after day. Most of this is unplanned, and I now understand what Rajesh Kamath means when he says travelling with Mohanji is like trying to hold the tail of a tornado.

Yesterday was another example of something that I’ve shared before: those people who have a real, sincere desire to meet Mohanji or speak to him will reach him through whichever way needs to happen. Mohanji manages to beautifully organize or orchestrate situations or events so that people can have that desire fulfilled. Yesterday was a really beautiful example of that.

There was a man who had a strong desire to meet Mohanji. He met Mohanji earlier in the week when he came to see him at Mohanji’s parents’ home. And yet again, when we were in the area locally, he contacted us just to see if he could come, say hello, and spend some time with Mohanji, and Mohanji agreed.

Yesterday morning, we were with a group of VIPs from Kerala – people from the film and production industries and the arts. Various people were coming and going.

It was mainly the people who connected to Mohanji via the 4 am Club. It’s really interesting to see that connection because it’s very different from the usual Mohanji family. There’s not much devotion there; they’re connecting to him just as an inspirational person, a mentor, a guide, and especially as a friend, someone whom they can trust. That connection is very strong instantly.

We had planned to stay at home, but during the course of the day, other people became available, and Mohanji wanted to go and meet them. For me, this has also been a learning experience because you never know what’s going to happen when you go to meet somebody. What I think would be a casual meeting, maybe for half an hour, actually turns out to be something very different.

Yesterday, for example, we went to the Agastya Ayurvedic clinic to meet one of the doctors there. What was to be a meeting soon turned into an impromptu Satsang. There were maybe 30-40, and probably 50 people who listened to Mohanji speak by the end. Some of them had come there just to visit the place but really desired to meet Mohanji, so they were able to do that as well. It was as if that situation was created, so those people could meet him.

The man who came was incredibly excited and happy because we needed a driver at that time, as our previous one had to go and we were without a vehicle. He happened to be there with a vehicle, so he was able to drive Mohanji and join us on the trip for the rest of the afternoon and the evening. He was delighted; it made his day. That was another example of how, when the call is strong, the situation is created to fulfil that desire.

The whole trip and what we’ve been doing here, and how fast we’ve been moving, has been a real lesson for me. I keep reiterating this because I think that being alert, aware, and being present has to be practised daily.

As we’re travelling and moving so fast, staying in different locations, moving from car to car, there are a lot of opportunities to make mistakes, or to forget things, leave things behind or misjudge things, lose track of time and things like this, so everything is kept to a schedule. And this can be quite intense.

Yesterday was another example where we ended up changing location; we moved from one place to another. It was nice in the end because we came to the place where there was a family – mother, daughter, and a son who could spend time with Mohanji.

Again, I don’t think anything is ever a coincidence when moving with Mohanji. For me, it seems that it’s random, but it’s orchestrated well. Because where we stayed and from where I’m actually looking across the river now, while I’m recording this, is a Dattatreya temple and a Hanuman temple, which Mohanji wanted to visit.

In the morning, he casually said, “Oh, just across the river, there is a temple; maybe we should visit.” When I asked him if he knew about this before, he said, “No, no, no, I’ve never been here before.” But it turns out it’s from one of the Gurus – Swami Sachchidananda, who is a Dattatreya Avatar, and he had invited Mohanji to visit his ashram in Mysore. So it’s actually his ashram and his Dattatreya temple there.

Now we are getting ready, as today we’re inaugurating the Altruistic Association of India. This is another one of the platforms that Mohanji has founded and gives his energy and backing to provide altruistic activities in India and spread the teaching philosophy of altruism. So that’s where we are about to head to now.

I hope you have a great day and will speak to you soon.

Day 80 Lesson – Where to look, not what to see.

Good morning everybody. I hope you are doing well.

We’re now nearing the end of the trip to Kerala, and soon we’ll be returning to Bangalore. It’s been a very interesting, exciting and also intense trip for me. When travelling with Mohanji, there needs to be extreme flexibility, alertness and awareness. The pace is high, and there isn’t the time to settle into comforts or habits. It’s an ever-changing movement. It’s tough, but freedom comes from it, and most importantly, life is experienced fully because you have to be present.

Yesterday was one of the last days where we visited Mohanji’s friends, their family and their homes. Towards the end of the day, we returned to the accommodation we’d been staying in since the previous night, which has a beautiful view of a Dattatreya temple and Hanuman temple there by the river.

Yesterday evening, one of Mohanji’s friends came to see him. They were also very interested in my story. It was almost like I was in the interview hot seat. It was very quick, rapid-fire questioning about my time with Mohanji, what I thought my purpose in life was, how long I’d been with him, what I thought about the teachings that he shares, how I’ve incorporated them into my life, etc. Question after question! It was quite intense, especially as it was late in the evening after travelling all day.

But this was an opportunity for me to reflect on what I’ve been learning from this trip. More than the outward (adapting to the outward situations of new locations, foods, different people, and changeable schedules), was having to be very flexible, always alert and aware, handling fatigue, lack of sleep, and all these things. It’s the inner learning of who and how I am in these situations that have been the most beneficial. This has also helped me to experience how the outer world is really a reflection of the inner world.

What I realized is that it’s been a very intense actual inner journey. A real microscope almost on who I am, especially certain character traits that I have in certain situations. I’m either prompted by frustrations, anxieties, maybe insecurities, or even fears about certain situations. It was almost like the whole trip, and the situations were opportunities for refinement, to look at myself and adjust from this as well. It was deeper learning of who I am myself, a real increased awareness of who I am as a person.

Mohanji has always said before that a true teacher or guru will only tell you where to look, not what to see. I feel like that was very much the case on this trip because there is no outward guidance for all the activities you have to do when you’re supporting Mohanji travelling. Also, rarely is he sitting down to give discourses. It’s life itself, how you are and how I am on this trip, which has been the biggest teacher and the biggest lesson.

The events of the actual life have been put in this pressure cooker of the trip. There was no opportunity to relax into patterns, relax into comfort zones. The pace of changes of the schedule meant that you have to be there and present all the time, which means that I had to be present with myself all the time; how I was in those situations, what emotions were coming up, how I was interacting with people.

Also, while being present, it was clear to see the impact of my words, actions, or how I was presenting myself to others. It’s been several days of really close and intense reflection in the mirror and the refinement of my own self.

The main lesson and learning, or perhaps practice more than a lesson, is how to be able to let go of things that are destabilizing. So anything that takes me away from being calm, centred, composed, and where I am more resourceful – how to let go of them or be aware of when the situations are coming to that effect that equilibrium and stability. Those are the situations and the points (I would say personality perhaps), which could be looked at in more detail as a lesson of who I am.

Part of the boot camp, which finished in December, was all about redefining ourselves. We looked at everything to do with what we are as human beings, right from the body, the mind, intellect, ego, soul, personality, communication; we covered every aspect of a human being. It’s almost as if, for me, this trip has been a continuation of that, but in a very intense period.

I’m sure that for many other people who have been through that boot camp, now within their life, they have been given the opportunity to look and learn more about themselves. One of the key takeaways from that boot camp was that what we see outside ourselves is only a projection of what’s inside. So by understanding that, we can then understand what we are inside.

My key lesson here is the experience that our own life is our teacher, which is always helping us to see who we really are. I’m sure situations were made possible by Mohanji to experience this with intensity. That’s my lesson of contemplation from the conversation I was having yesterday evening, which I hope is useful and interesting. Have a great day ahead.

Many Masters or this one?

By Preethi Gopalarathnam, India

This is an important message! I heard the podcast Real vs Unreal by Mohanji and I felt I had to share my experiences and learnings. If you have not heard this, please listen to it. The link is attached at the end of the blog.

I have known Mohanji for the last seven years and have been associated with Mohanji Foundation in various capacities. During this time I have met some very interesting people. Some people have come here, bloomed and are shining bright, polishing themselves and adding value to the world to the best of their capacity.

Some have come and done some great work and have gotten distracted because of personal, mental, and financial issues and have slowly dimmed out. Some have joined the organisation because their friend or family have joined and are connected. These people come on someone else’s belief. They believe everything and everyone and lack their personal anchor to the truth. So many times, I have seen them become disillusioned and leave either unhappy or not satisfied.

There are some, however, who join this organisation and then join multiple such organisations too. They believe in many Masters, and they usually say, “All Masters are one”, so I will learn from everywhere. It’s like taking multiple tuitions for one subject to crack the exam! You attend class after class but no time to assimilate and learn because we are busy with classes.

I have been fortunate to meet and observe all these flavours of people, and these are my observations only. I felt a strong urge to pen them down, and please read through it and take it only if it makes sense to you.

Yes, it is true that all Masters operate from one Consciousness, but the first question to ask ourselves is, are we in that oneness state to realise that? Unless we are there, it is someone else’s truth we believe in. It’s not our experience. If we go back to all the books and life history of great Masters like Yogananda and Vivekananda, we see that they respect all Masters, but they are firmly rooted in one Master and one Guru. Why?

Don’t they know that all Masters are the same? My understanding through my experience is as follows.

At some time in life, we ask for spiritual progress, we pray for guidance, and this prayer is a deep, earnest call from our soul. I can take my example. I connected to Mahavatar Babaji first. I prayed to Babaji, asking him for a true Guru whom I could relate and connect to. Then I was led to Mohanji. Now, how do you know that the Master in front of you is the right one?

Simple, your knowing comes from how sincerely you prayed for guidance and help! This is how I found my Guru. I did my own thorough analysis before I took Mohanji for my Guru, though. It was not instant realisation though there was an instant connection.

I saw for myself the state of purity that he was operating from. I observed his interactions and knew he was genuine. He practised what he preached. He was humble. He respected all Masters, but at the same time, he was a storehouse of power. I started seeing miracles in everyone else’s life and mine too. It was only then I took Mohanji as my Guru. It was logical, and it happened naturally. After taking him as my Guru, I had this confusion. What to do with Babaji now that I found Mohanji?

I see many people who are connected to Babaji, Sai Baba, Ramana Maharishi and many other great and powerful Masters. They find Mohanji, and then I watch them divided. Do they follow Mohanji or the Master who got them to Mohanji, who is powerful and not in their physical form. If the Master is in the body, you can directly go and ask him, so no confusion! I have been there in that space and suffered this confusion, so I felt I should share my experience. Mostly they pray to both and follow both, and that is what I mean by they are divided.

Initially, after I met and connected with Mohanji, I used to get these messages of people channelling Babaji etc., and I have initially gone there too, thinking the source is the same. Everyone is nice and loving, and you feel great energetically. But then we can’t follow everyone and every teaching, right? If we get two contradictory practices, what to do?

I would like to share my experience here. On one occasion at a friend’s place, I had the experience where Lahari Mahasaya and Sai Baba both appeared in the picture of Mohanji that I was holding. I was telling her that I feel sad about why Babaji had to send me to another Master and why he couldn’t come directly and speak to me as he does to all the other people we read in books. It was at this moment that I looked down at the picture I was holding of Mohanji.

It was unmistakable; both these Masters appeared in Mohanji’s eyeballs, each on both eyes. It was unmistakable! I was trembling and shaking, in tears because from inside came a realisation, showing me that all Masters exist, embody and speak through this one Master now. While my question to her was naive, it had purity, so the Guru answered it for me.

We need to remember something; we asked sincerely for guidance from a Master who has left their body or God. If we were in the state where they could communicate with subtlety and directly with us, they would have done it, right?

The fact that they sent you to another living Master proves the authenticity of the Master and your need for this particular Master and their sign of approval for you to move forward with him or her.

It doesn’t mean we are leaving our God or older Master; it means they will start speaking through this living Master, so we understand. Then, in this case, I personally feel the search has to end there. It is this Master in front of you who they will speak through if they want to from now on. Isn’t that why they sent you here in the first place! If you are still in doubt (the mind I tell you!), surrender this to your original Master and say, I did this as your guidance now you take care. Mohanji has said several times the story of a man who took a buffalo to be his Master, and he attained the highest. The sincerity and faith of you, the seeker, is all that matters here.

This experience at a friend’s house was a surreal experience for me, and I know it was true because it transformed me completely. My search for Gurus and people connected and channelling Masters stopped there. It happened naturally and automatically.

I would also like to share another observation. My deepest transformations started happening with Mohanji after this. It has been a rapid journey after that. It took me a while to understand that the connection became pure, and all distractions and loopholes for doubts were eliminated so that the Master could deliver. I could be receptive only after that incident. I still have a long way to go, but that’s surrendered at his feet now. It’s his job; mine is to hang in there however difficult the ride turns out to be!

There was a dull thud upon impact. I realised my car was hit.

The car just ahead of me took a left turn. I followed, also turning left into Twickenham Road on my daily route to our work headquarters in Auckland Park – a Johannesburg suburb.

It was a quiet morning, not much traffic on the roads. Twickenham was even quieter. No other cars aside from ours. The multi-coloured Toyota Avanza turned right on to the oncoming lane, and I passed it.

Suddenly I heard a dull thud. My heart sank. There was that sickening kind of feeling in the pit of my stomach as I realised my car was hit.

Then the scenes turned surreal. I felt half in and half out of my body. Everything that followed appeared to be like in a movie, and I witnessed the scene from far away.

Everything was in slow motion.

This is how it unfolded.

The street was still quiet. There were no human witnesses to what had just happened, only the All-Pervasive, All-Seeing, All-Knowing Mighty Divine beyond the range of physical perception.

I got out of my car, shaking like a leaf. I just couldn’t stop shaking. The fear of the cost of the damage to my vehicle was uppermost and completely consumed my mind at that moment. Repairing BMWs do not come cheap even though insured. My car is not even three years old.

I was not hurt but was anything but rational. I was gripped in a mixture of shock and fear and anger too and engulfed in that horrible sick kind of feeling. This was exacerbated by weeks of worry and stress over uncertainty at work with the threat of retrenchment letters hanging over our heads. On a personal physical level, l was afflicted with unrelenting debilitating headaches. They caused my blood pressure to skyrocket – and now this!

The accident was just the catalyst that burst my emotional dam wall. The pent-up frustration was at boiling point and spilt over in anger. I was seething. It overrode all sensibilities.

I looked at my car in horror. The back bumper looked awful, oh and the mag wheel rim (more sick feeling). It also looked hideous. Again my thoughts raced to the cost of the possibility of having to get a new rim as well!

The other driver also got out of her car, which was still on the opposite oncoming lane in half left turn back towards the left lane again. We approached each other. It was another lady driver.

Looking at the state of my car in disbelief, I shouted to the lady as we approached each other, “What have you done? You turned right!”

And she shouted back, “I indicated.”

Me: “No, you didn’t.”

Lady: “Yes, I did.”

Me: “But you turned Right!”

Lady: “I indicated!”

Me: “Look at my car!”

And this went on and on with our voices getting louder and louder in the quiet suburban street. Both of us were in shock. Our reactions were far from calm, rational or reasonable. The lady was driving a company vehicle. All the noise brought out a few residents from inside their homes into the street. They looked on with much curiosity as to the cause of all the noise.

I have to admit that I was not myself at all, sadly. With all that I had been experiencing physically and energetically over the past several months which were very trying and testing, I felt alone, unsupported, and physically, emotionally, mentally tired and generally just fed-up with my lot. Ridiculous thoughts flooded my mind like, ‘Beam me up, Scotty. I’m done here.’

As the commotion was going on, a car approached on the oncoming lane. It happened to be one of my work colleagues. She was so amazing, ultra-calm, and she immediately took charge of the situation.

Colleague to me: “You’re shaking. We need to get you some sugar water.”

My colleague helped me take deep calming breaths, and she also spoke to the other driver, gently and kindly.

By then the lady (driver of the Toyota Avanza) had radioed her colleagues and reported the incident. They worked in the security department at the University of Johannesburg, outside of which the incident occurred. Her colleagues arrived on the scene quite quickly and assessed the situation. The other car was still in the oncoming lane.

Everyone on the scene was very kind. They helped the other driver and me to take down each other’s details. They guided us to take photos of the cars and reminded us to report the incident to the police within 24 hours.

Their calm handling of the situation kind of brought me back into my body. I felt as though I was waking up from a dream into conscious awareness.

I was taking in the finer details of things around me. Curiously, I noticed the other driver’s hands, fingers and fingernails. They were very elegant with red nail polish. I looked at her face and thought she was so pretty, and I liked her, and I realised she was also scared.

My heart melted for her. I felt empathy; immediately and sincerely, I apologised for all the shouting with the purity of my heart. The exchanges had been loud on both sides. She also genuinely apologised.

I instinctively reached out and hugged her (at the moment forgetting all about the covid social distancing). She hugged me back.

Thinking about her family, and perhaps she might have children or old parents relying on her (these were the thoughts that I found were racing through my mind as I was slowly and consciously taking everything in). I urged her to please stay safe and take care.

We parted as one human caring about another. It felt right and natural. It felt good.

My car was not mechanically damaged. I gingerly drove to work. We need an access card to gain entry into the parking, and into our greater office building. I drove to the third floor and parked in my parking bay.

I was feeling quite light-headed. I sat in the car for a few minutes, breathing slowly and deeply, trying to steady myself. Gathering myself, I got out of my car, opened the boot to get my handbag, and realised I did not have my access card with me. My mind was a complete blank. I could not remember where I had put the access card.

I had to think for several moments, yes, I had to use the card to gain entry into the car park, so the card had to be in the car. For some 40 minutes, I searched high and low inside the car, under the car, I emptied my handbag – no card in sight. Where could the access card be?!

My awareness level was zero; my mind-body-senses were not in alignment. My energy field was scattered.

I wondered whether I had dropped the car at the entry point. So ensuring in a slow and measured way that I had the car keys in my hand, I locked the car and slowly walked down three winding floors to the entrance, still feeling quite shaky in the body.

The card was not there either. I asked the security guards whether they had seen an access card perhaps dropped at the entry point at the checkpoint. No, they hadn’t.

Again there was much kindness from the guards. One of them asked whether I was alright. I said no, I didn’t feel so good and that I just couldn’t remember where I had put my card.

He kindly walked me back to my car on the 3rd floor and helped me search for the elusive card. We could still not find it. Goodness, it appeared to have just vanished! My mind was again all over the place, and I still felt acutely light-headed.

Then my eyes fell on my little purse inside my handbag that held my driver’s licence and identity card. I reached out for it and opened it. And there it was – the access card!!!

For the life of me, I did not recall putting it into that purse. I was so relieved. The kind security card was also smiling ear-to-ear, so happy for me that I had found the card. You can imagine the state I was in, not to have remembered where I had put the card.

I was still feeling misty-eyed when I got to the office. I quietly sat at my desk for about ten minutes. I made myself a black coffee to ground myself. Thoughts were racing through my head. I needed to go to the police station, get an accident report number for insurance and all the nitty-gritty of paperwork.

A moment of pause, I took a deep breath and messaged my Beloved Master, Mohanji, telling him about what had happened. By then, the waterworks were in full flood. I just cried and cried and cried silently. My colleagues respectfully let me be.

Mohanji’s reply came within a few minutes, “Be Cool. You will be OK. Proceed with the rest of formalities.”

OMG! Mohanji said, “Be Cool.” Thinking back on the drama earlier, I was anything but cool!

And my Master knew it. He was physically thousands of miles away but was a first-hand witness to the unfolding drama earlier.

My beloved Master also said something else in the message. It’s something of a personal nature which I don’t feel I can share publicly. In reply to my response, Mohanji said,” I am with you. Be cool. Be Mohanji.” I felt very comforted and strengthened by His messages.

The police formalities proceeded smoothly. It was the first time I had driven to the famous Brixton Police Station in Johannesburg!

Considering what to do next, I drove straight on to my car dealership for guidance on how to proceed considering the car was still under a motor plan. They cautioned me to go to their recognised repair centre to ensure I don’t lose the motor plan’s benefits. I immediately drove to their recommended repair centre some ten kilometres away. All the formalities were done with pictures taken of the damages. They said they would email me the quote. Again it was quite a straightforward, painless procedure.

As I drove home, I felt compelled to take the car straight to the carwash near where I lived, for a thorough wash and full valet service.

Two beautiful, helpful souls setto work. I told them what had happened. They were very sympathetic and said not to worry. You should have seen just how they went about cleaning the car.

Finally, it was all done. They said, “Come see ma’am.”

I expected to see scratches and dents. There was not a single scratch, nor a dent on the bumper. Nothing! I looked on in utter amazement and peered closely at the rim. Here too, there was not one scratch on it. I was dumb-founded.

I recalled hearing a thud at the time of the incident. There was an impact, and yet there was nothing to show of the morning’s incident. It was a Miracle! A Miracle! My Master’s Miracle.

Mohanji’s protective presence is a powerful shield. When he says, “I am with you,” these are not empty words. They are the words of a powerful Master filled with the energy of Source. This was tangible, observable proof. Mohanji always says to us all, “Stay connected. Do not doubt.”

How often our minds lead us astray in messy, knotty thought entanglements. We apply our limited human concepts to our Master. Yes indeed, Mohanji is in a physical body, and how often have we, mistakenly, thought of him as being just an ordinary human being. He actually prefers it that way.

But please let me just say, put the ‘extra into the ordinary,’ in our definition of Mohanji, we will be getting a little closer to the truth of his extraordinary source stature.

Back to the incident of my car, there’s more! While still at the carwash, I checked my email on my mobile phone. I was surprised to see that the quote from the repair centre had come in. That was quite quick.

I opened the email, and there was the quote staring at me, detailing a long list of repairs which amounted to a grand total of nearly 24 000.00 Rand!

At the carwash, I had paid just R200.00 for the washing and full valet service. To think I was so worried about the cost of repairs.

Miracle, Miracle, Miracle!

This is my Master’s grace, his unstinting blessings, his mighty cover of love and protection. This mind cannot fully grasp the depth of his unconditional love for us. This is my father’s love always and in All Ways.

About a week after the incident, I received a call from the University of Johannesburg’s legal department inquiring whether I had the three quotes from the repair centres to sort out the insurance.

When I explained the eventual outcome after the car was taken to the carwash, the man was at first taken aback and then completely amazed.

I mentioned the amount quoted for the repair centre’s repairs and how much I had paid at the car wash. The man chuckled in disbelief and relief too. I told the gentleman that there were no damages to my vehicle and that there was no need for any insurance claim. I asked him about the condition of the other car. He said there was a slight crack to the bumper and damage to one of the light covers. Nothing major! He asked whether they could close the case, I replied with a happy and emphatic Yes!

“I am with you.”

Mohanji

My heart is so deeply grateful.

Thank You, my beloved Master Mohanji.

All praise! All thanks to You!

The grace of a living Master

shiva

By Tanjila Akhter, Bangladesh

Namaste, I am 23 years old and I have a small beautiful family with my husband and a son who is only two years old. I have completed my Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Dhaka University. I would love to share my experiences and journey towards Mohanji and how his teachings helped me and transformed my life completely; and how my life became so open from any small and limited notions.

Even though I am from a Muslim background, now I have the same respect for all religions because I realise that even though our rituals are different, our destination is the same. We came from one Source and we will return to that same Source, and this actualization makes me feel that life is full of blessings and grace.

expereince

My spiritual journey started with my first Guru, Sufi Saint Baba Jahangir. But it was just a ritual at that time. Even though Baba’s teachings are very powerful, I found it very complicated to understand the deepest meanings of his core messages with my limited capacity and knowledge about spiritualism. My lack of insight was such that I was not able to understand Baba’s teachings about liberation, detachment, unconditional love, no expectations, silence, etc.

On the day (25th April), when Baba Jahangir took Maha Samadhi, I realized something very unique as if from the very core of my being a confirmation that Baba does not leave us, he is always with us and I felt his presence very strongly that day. Even though I felt his strong presence inside my heart, yet another thought arose in my mind about who would teach us practically when Baba is no more in his body! But I surrendered all my thoughts to Baba with the conviction that time will surely be the answer. A few days later, my husband and I came to know about Lisa who is also a devotee of Baba Jahangir and a Mohanji Acharya (even though at that time I had no clue who Mohanji was).

We created a WhatsApp group with the intention that we could have some discussions about spiritualism. We were 9 people at first. Later on, a few more people joined us. We started our satsang through video call and Lisa started talking to us about various aspects of life and truth. We continued for almost two months, attending the satsang every single day. Sometimes we discussed all night long, tirelessly. All of us started enjoying the satsangs as if a new zone had opened up for us.

satsang
Satsang with Mohanji

Now, this was entirely new to me and I was very surprised just to listen to all these various types of topics which were kind of food for my thoughts. My feelings were such that I had been hungry for this food for long periods of time and searching for this kind of clear explanations and insights which were extremely meaningful to me, and I felt like everything made perfect sense to me now. Later on, we came to know that these were Mohanji’s core teachings, which is the same as Baba Jahagir’s teachings, but Mohanji’s teachings were really easy to understand not only theoretically, but we were also inspired to do things practically.

For the first time ever, I realized each life is valuable in this world and no beings were born to satisfy my selfish desire for food, clothing, etc. From that day, I took the decision to become a vegetarian. Before that, beef was one of my most favourite foods.

One month later, I felt that Lisa should come to my house. I invited her and she immediately agreed, (I was completely unaware what great blessings were waiting for us) and on 27th May, Lisa came to our home and straightway from the next day (28th May) my husband, I and the other people who were present there became completely vegetarian without any effort.

I was totally surprised to see my transformation.  This would never have been possible if we had not known about Mohanji’s teachings through Lisa. For the first time, I could feel how cruel and insensitive we had been! Just for the taste of our tongue, we killed so many lives and this is a huge crime we are performing through our wrong traditional pedagogy. After becoming a vegetarian, my spiritual journey started to improve immediately.

lifestyle

My awareness became sharper than before. I even started realizing the main goal of my existence which I was completely unaware of before. I realize that liberation is my only goal, and I am ready to do anything to achieve this goal. I also realize that all my roles in this lifetime have to be played without any attachments which were never clear to me before. After Mohanji’s teachings, I have started practicing all these things deliberately, and with patience. I never knew that patience could be that hard for these practices, but I am so grateful that I am growing slowly but steadily.

Also, I have learned how powerful gratitude could be! Lisa recommended us to practice the Power of Purity (PoP) meditation every day and just listening to Mohanji’s voice made my mind so peaceful. Now PoP guided meditation has become my regular practice.

Also, I realized the mind factor, and how our own mind can be the highest destructive force of our lives, and with conviction and regular practice, we can even change the blueprint of our mind. In that absolute sense, we all have the power to destroy our comfort zones and make our lives positive and worthwhile by living and sharing unconditionally, which is an act of tremendous courage that we all have. We just need the right guide to give us directions and we are so lucky that in this life we found Mohanji. The absolute Truth in our life is our living Master Mohanji.

I am unable to explain my gratitude to Mohanji, but I am sure he knows my heart which is beating now by his name, all day and night. His name has become my maha-mantra (MOHANJI). With his holy name, one can participate in any aspect of life. This is my conviction. During the first few weeks, my mind was playing a game with me – what if I am doing wrong by trusting Lisa or accepting Mohanji as my living Master? I was a bit confused but Masters knows our minds more than us.

gratitude

One day Baba Jahangir appeared in my dream and gave me confirmation that Mohanji is my present Guru whom I came to know through Lisa. When I initially saw Mohanji’s picture, my first thought was he is none other than Moula Ali, who is our Imam riding a horse in a battle against all negative energies. And I knew that my journey had started with my Guru Mohanji.

On the 4th of June, Lisa inaugurated the altar of Guru Mandala in my house. What a wonderful experience we all had that day. Everyone felt Mohanji’s strong presence and we were all amazed at how Mohanji is giving us so many experiences without even asking. We could offer only love and we did that from our hearts, but Mohanji gave us everything, that love which we never felt in our entire life, even from our parents. On the same day, I saw Mohanji’s smiling face standing in front of my eyes and watching me always.

When we finished the aarati and sat down for the meditation, I felt that Mohanji was looking at me and smiling. Then two glorious faces appeared in front of me and both of them were looking at me with their bright eyes, with lots of light coming from them. A few days later when I sat for meditation, I felt that I was sitting inside Mahavatar Babaji‘s body and his body was as big as Kailash. After inaugurating the altar, I witnessed many experiences. Many times Mohanji gave me experiences through dreams.

During the time Lisa stayed at our house, for the first time, we visited many temples such as the Kali temple, Shiva temple, Loknath Baba’s temple, ashrams, etc. and had various types of experiences.

We also had the opportunity to meet a living Avadhoota, and this was later confirmed by Mohanji (we didn’t know the meaning of an Avadhoota until Lisa explained to us later on). Our experiences with Ma Avadhoota were so sacred. She knows everything about Mohanji, and told us, “Mohanji is Mahadev.” She is blind but she saw Mohanji through her third eye and explained how Mohanji looks like, and she prayed to Mohanji if she could see him in her lifetime.

Now, only Mohanji knows if he would come to us or not, but we keep calling him from our hearts. I want to share about my two-year-old child who has started chanting the Maha Mrithyunjaya mantra and keeps calling Jai Mohanji and Sai Baba all the time. We are really amazed to see how he could do that continuously. Almost every day, my two-year-old child goes to the altar and rings the bell, says Jai Mohanji and kisses him, bows down like a grown-up man, as if he knows everything that he needs to do, and this is truly beyond anything anyone can even assimilate.

It was beyond my imagination that I could have all these experiences and to have found my living Master Mohanji like this. I often wonder what I have done to have all this grace and blessings within this sort period of time. I have also learned never to take anything for granted.

I surrender everything at Mohanji’s holy feet as he is my protector, he will protect me and my family till my end. With this prayer I started my journey, and I will pray until my end. I would like to dedicate the first Guru mantra that I memorized, to Mohanji.

Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwaraha

Guru Saakshaat Para Brahma, Tasmai Sri Gurave Namaha

Kalpataru Series – A wish to attend the Global Summit

group1 global summit

by Aditya Nagpal, India

Recently, I took part in the Mohanji Foundation (MF) Global Summit in Sri Lanka as the India Head. I really feel blessed to have gotten this opportunity to represent MF India at the Global Summit, and it was all due to Mohanji’s grace. I would like to share my experience, an incident at work, which made it very easy for me to go to Sri Lanka.

I work in the corporate sector and getting holidays for anything is a big deal. You need to have a valid reason if you want to take a long holiday. Last year, I had already taken many holidays and applying for more seemed next to impossible. In November, our CEO Madhusudhan called me and said that I will be heading Mohanji Foundation India and I will have to go to Sri Lanka for the Global Summit.

Mohanji1

I accepted the responsibility immediately but the thing that struck my mind was getting holidays for it as I had already taken a long holiday for the Kriya Intensive program in December 2019. I did not know how to get more holidays as it could make a negative impact on my reputation in the company. So I was a little worried about it, but I had a strong desire to go to Sri Lanka with Mohanji. The time to go to Sri Lanka was approaching fast and I had not even applied for my holidays. I had no ‘valid’ reason to apply. So I just surrendered it to Mohanji and here is how it was taken care of.

I am currently working at my Client’s location. My Parent Company has deployed me there. Three days before going to Sri Lanka, my Parent Company manager called me. I was concerned that it could be about my holidays as I had taken too many. I entered my manager’s room a little worried, but here is what he said, “I wanted to talk to you for the last few days. I would like to tell you that our Client is highly impressed by your performance and they want to take you as their permanent employee. Are you ok with that?”

I could not believe what he said, this was an absolute miracle. I was worried about taking holidays and now I would not only be able to take holidays, but I would move to a bigger company with a higher salary. There was a deal between my Parent Company and the Client that at the end of the project, the Client Company would take the best amongst all the employees deployed there. With Mohanji’s grace, I turned out to be the best amongst everyone. I knew that it was all a divine play of our Master. He arranged this for me.

Our Master will arrange everything for us at the right time, when we are ready. All we need is a strong connection with him. He will send us to the right places at the right time. He knows what is best for us. All we need to do is surrender everything at his lotus feet because he really will take care of everything. When he says, “I am walking with you and protecting you”, he really means it. Blessed are we to be in his Consciousness. Let’s forget our personal egos and work together to spread his mission as much as we can.

Blissful days with Mohanji – Part 1

Mohanji1

by Ananthanarayanan Sankaran

Mohanji is veritably the Kalpavriksha or Kalpataru (the wish-fulfilling tree). His spiritual vibrations, selfless love, compassion, knowledge of the universal laws, wisdom and humility attract disciples the way bees are pulled to a garden of sweet-scented flowers. Whatever is lacking in the average man is found in fulsome measure in him. He stands apart as an extraordinary being whose very presence grants peace beyond measure. People flock around him seeking to fulfill their varied and endless desires. Through his blessings and grace, Mohanji grants his disciples everything they need as per their capacity to handle, eventually leading them towards total liberation.

In the path of Datta,  the only sadhana (practice) the seeker has to inculcate is to keep the connection going and the rest is the job of the Guru. There are plenty who wish to physically be with and serve a living Master. Plenty has also been written and said about how difficult it is to live with a Master who’s not bound by anything except Dharma.

It is only by his grace that I had an amazing opportunity to be with Mohanji and observe him from close quarters during the Arunachala (27 – 29 Jan) and Kerala (30 Jan – 9 Feb)  trips. This blog is an account of the events that unfolded in front of me in the presence of  Para Brahma Swaroopa Mohanji, and the impact they had on my awareness.

Home for seniors
Inauguration of ‘Mohanji Home for Seniors’ – a place where old people can live in peace, health, and dignity.

Before Arunachala, Mohanji had picked up an injury of sorts which made his movements a little difficult. However, he did not cancel any of the programs or cut them short because of this. “None of my appointments should be cancelled”, he told me when I went with the suggestion of either not meeting someone or making changes to the program for Arunachala. I was soon made to realise that Mohanji’s dictionary doesn’t have a word called ‘cancel’.

Two Masters
Arunachala was the time-space junction point where two Masters (Mohanji and Mooji Baba) met, perceived as coincidental or by-chance by the outside world.

What was originally conceived to be a private function for ‘Mohanji Home for Seniors’ inauguration, ended up being a huge gathering with plenty of guests and dignitaries including Mooji Baba whom Mohanji met ‘by chance’ at the hotel lobby and invited for the function. Those 2 days kept everyone on their toes as Mohanji moved like a lion despite the discomfort, providing clear instructions on what had to be done and how to go about executing it. In the end, the program was a huge success, all of it was possible only by Lord Arunachala’s and Mohanji’s grace.

After inaugurating the ‘Mohanji Home for Seniors’ in Arunachala on 29th January, we immediately left for Palakkad (a 9-hour journey by road) which could easily be called one of the most tiring road trips. The last toll between Kerala – Tamil Nadu border saw some delays. Mohanji called me personally and asked me to speak to the officer directly. I had my own doubts initially with the thought – “These check-post officers are rude most of the time and if they get upset, they ensure they give you sufficient hard time”. Then again, it was Mohanji who was asking me to go which means, he would have done all the ‘setup’ and all I need to do was to be physically present in the office.

As I entered the line for inquiring about the reason for the delay, the drivers who were already standing in the queue asked me to remain quiet and not raise my voice. Since it was Mohanji who asked me to go and speak directly, I didn’t heed their advice and went straight into the office. I explained the practical reason for my urgency and to my surprise, the officer collected all the papers from our driver, verified them and issued the receipt. When I walked out, I could see the doubt and curiosity in the faces of the people standing for a long time in the queue. This incident helped me to clearly understand that when we approach things in a practical and non-emotional way, we are bound to achieve the desired outcome as it is also coupled with Guru’s grace and support.

We reached the Palakkad home around 1:00 am and to my surprise, we were welcomed by almost 15-20 people. As soon as Mohanji sat on his chair, the others who were there to welcome him also settled down with no visible sign of leaving anytime soon. My initial reaction was, ‘Why are so many people waiting to see him so late in the night and why aren’t they leaving soon? Do they not know that he’s had a long program in Arunachala and has busy days ahead of him in Kerala?’ The question was short-lived as the very next minute, I could visualise Mohanji as Lord Krishna and the people around him were his friends from Vrindavan and Dwaraka (places where Krishna lived and ruled). The overwhelming love from the people gathered ensured Mohanji spent time with them that night although he was tired. He says “Be available, make every minute of your life purposeful. You never get a second chance.”

Kerala Group
Late-night gathering

Destiny brings the time, space and experiences for us – Mohanji

The next morning, I casually asked Devadas about the plans in Kerala for the next few days and he smiled. I insisted and then he laid it all out for me in 15 minutes. Hearing the plan, my first reaction was “OMG! this is insane”. However, the main concern lingering in my head was how on earth could all this work? Though I had firm faith in Mohanji and was quite ready to go with the flow, I was concerned about his health, especially the time required for his rest.

Little did I know that the people who turned up at home past midnight on 29th Jan was a prequel of what was to come during the next few days in Kerala where waves of people wanted his darshan and the 3 people near him were not sufficient to control the crowd, but more about it shortly.

After a brief 2-day stay in Palakkad, we left for Kannur, where a series of programs had been planned. As Mohanji’s discomfort due to the injury still persisted, the idea of cancelling a few appointments was floated which was immediately turned down by Mohanji. “These people have been waiting to see me, and some have taken time to come and meet me. How can I decide not to go? What kind of message am I sending to this world when I really want everyone to live for the world?”

We started our journey to Kannur the next morning. As we disembarked in Kannur from the train, we were lovingly welcomed by Mr. Anil Krishnan and advocate Madhu. On the road to Anil’s house, I was amazed by the size of the roads in Kannur. They were sufficiently broad that even 2 people walking side by side would create a traffic jam. I asked about this and Mohanji laughingly said: “People here want more garden space than road space”. This was so true as each house I came across had a huge open front-yard and it’s for no ordinary reason that Kerala is called ‘God’s own country’.

The first program in Kannur was the public satsang at Shirdi Sai Sansthan. During this satsang, I had an opportunity to meet Damodaran master – who used to teach mathematics to Mohanji during his school days back in the 80s. The mere reference to the subject made me take a few steps back from him as it’s only recently my dreams of failing in mathematics or getting tight slaps from my principal for the same reason has stopped.

The love they both (Mohanji and Damodaran master) had for each other was amazing. I felt as if it was for this meeting that the whole scene (satsang) was orchestrated. As he came near Mohanji and sought blessings from him, Mohanji immediately caught hold of his hands and sought blessings from Damodaran master. This scene taught me 2 things: 1) The best gift a disciple can give his/her guru is by living their teachings. Here, the guru (Damodaran master) was so happy and elated to see his student (Mohanji) achieve higher levels in life and 2) The student should always remind himself about the source of knowledge and remain humble. Here, the humility showed by the student (Mohanji) in seeking Damodaran master’s (guru) blessings was truly a lesson that would stay with me for a long time.

Damodaran master was visually moved to have received Shaktipat from Mohanji. He had told a few around him that, “I taught Mohan the concept of infinity and here I have my student (Mohanji) now teaching us what is real infinity (infinite consciousness)”. Mohanji said, “It is such an honour and a privilege to have given Shaktipat to Damodaran master and his blessings mean so much”.

The happiest moment in the life of a teacher is when the student eventually masters the knowledge that the guru embodies.

“It was such an honour and a privilege to deliver Shaktipat to Damodaran master. I am very happy today” ~ Mohanji

That evening, Mohanji delivered Shaktipat to over 80+ people who had gathered there to meet and interact with him. It was getting late and the interactions with people continued. Does he even care about himself? Should he exert himself so much, instead can’t he go home and get some rest? He’s given Shaktipat – which is the supreme. There should technically be no questions beyond this. This thought was arising in my mind strongly. Later when I asked him this question, his response was:

I don’t have ownership. Things happen through me. You see, the pain is certainly there, but I’ve got no suffering (from the discomfort). You guys are all struggling because you happily postpone things or your own things. Ownership causes pain while surrendering it or not owning it, frees you. Will you postpone anything if you know the next minute you may not exist?”

Very true. I thought about myself and soon saw a pattern of delaying things so much that they lose value and the delay also takes away the charm of the work and output.

Up next – re-living Mohanji’s school days with his friends during Re-Union 2020.

Kalpataru Series – A prayer from the heart!

Mohanji and Sai

By Dr. Nikita Naredi

You call me and I will be there!” That’s what Mohanji always affirms to his global family. We, with our limited minds, may not fathom the intensity of these words but our experiences help us understand the power of these words. He listens to our every wish with love and fulfills it for us immediately.

I would like to share one such beautiful experience which exhibits only one thing: He is always with us. Life was a bit topsy-turvy at my end and in spite of better acceptance as compared to before, I would get jittery. I really wanted to meet Mohanji physically and take his blessings. I sought permission to meet him on 31st December in Bangalore and hoped by then he would be back after the Mookambika retreat. However, I was told he had some urgent commitments and would not be available during that period. I tried twice but got the same answer. I was sad but I kept praying to him, “I have to meet you. Come what may.”

I was undergoing a painful dental procedure with multiple sessions but that day I kept praying to Mohanji and the session just went off very smoothly. Sitting on the dentist’s chair, I kept remembering him and thinking about how I could meet him.

As soon as I was out of the procedure room, I got a message from Kirti Khandelwal. She asked me to accompany her to Shirdi that weekend as Mohanji was visiting Shirdi and he had asked her to bring me along. What? I could not believe my ears. Don’t know why but I started scrolling down my Whatsapp page and lo and behold, I saw Mohanji’s message asking me to visit him in Shirdi that weekend. Living in Pune, it was very feasible for us. Was it a miracle? Was it a super blessing? It was both. My prayers were answered and when I wrote this to Mohanji, he said you were praying very earnestly, so I had to come. All this has only one connotation: He is with us always; we need to have faith and surrender our wishes to our Master.

Mohanji and Sai 2

The whole visit had been planned for us by the Pune Mohanji family. We had a mesmerising time with our Master, our Guru, our God. There was an impromptu satsang and in spite of his hectic schedule and travelling, He gave us time individually, listening to us, giving us so much love and guiding us with advice among with his blessings, and the most comforting words “I am with you always“. He is always with us indeed.

It doesn’t end here. Being in Shirdi and that too with your Master can only happen with Sai Baba‘s blessings. We wanted to have darshan of Baba at the Samadhi Mandir and thank him for calling us to that blessed soil again. It was already late evening and we knew getting into the Sanctum Sanctorum means a long queue and we had to head back to Pune the same evening. So we decided to have darshan through the Muk Mandir (main entrance), visit Dwarka Mai and return. After the Muk Mandir Darshan, we were not satisfied and longed to be there in front of Baba and again our wish was fulfilled. As we were going inside, we coincidentally met Savitri Aunty, an ardent devotee of Mohanji and an active Ammucare volunteer who had an entrance pass to go inside the temple through the Nandi Dwar which means a cakewalk to the Sanctum. We jumped with joy and elation. Who was orchestrating this? Mohanji? Baba? They are one! We went inside in a jiffy and as we were standing in front of Baba, another bonus awaited us. The steel railing around the Samadhi which is always closed was pulled apart. We stood there, mesmerised. Miracle again….touching Baba’s Samadhi was a big prasad …

With so much joy, happiness and bliss, we returned to the hotel to pick up our bags and have a quick bite at the Ahimsa Vegan café before we started on our way back. The icing on the cake was still left. Mohanji happened to come to the cafe again. He offered us blessings and waved us goodbye with overflowing love like a mother till we could no more see him from our moving vehicle.

My every breath, every cell, is at your lotus feet Mohanji, in deep gratitude.

The M-powering Masters

M and Sai

By Aditya Nagpal

One evening, after doing Mohanji Aarati, I got a very strong thought to go to Shirdi. It was late in the evening and I thought it might not be a good idea to start at that time. But the thought was so strong that I was forced to book a bus and leave. Within one hour I was on a bus to Shirdi.

Aditya doing seva

It is a 12-hour journey from Hyderabad to Shirdi. I reached Shirdi the next morning and checked into a hotel which I had booked while travelling. I had learned that one of our Mohanji Family member-Jyoti Bahl was also visiting Shirdi the same day. I went into my room and freshened up, As I came out, Jyotiji was in front of me, and she recognized me as I was wearing a Mohanji Foundation Kurta! This was the first time we met but I could feel the connection with her, being from the ‘M’ Family. We had a small conversation and decided to meet later. After eating something, I went for Samadhi Darshan.

oneself quote

When I returned to the hotel, I sat in the Ahimsa Vegan café (a vegan café inaugurated by Mohanji). Jyotiji also arrived there, and we started sharing experiences of Mohanji and Sai Baba. While Jyotiji was narrating her experiences, I could feel her devotion and deep connection to Baba. Her bhakti bhaav (devotion) is so strong, that it took me into a different mode altogether and I started feeling a deep state of bliss, as if Baba was filling me up. After that I wanted to spend more time with her and listen to her experiences. Luckily, I went to Dwarkamai with her. Throughout the way, she spoke only about Baba, as if the rest of the world does not exist and only Baba exists. As she was narrating with unbelievably intense bhaav (emotion), I was going deeper and deeper into a bliss state. I was already having the feeling that this visit to Shirdi was the most powerful to date, and would take my faith and devotion to another level. But wait! There was more to come.

I learnt from Jyotiji that they were visiting Meher Baba’s Samadhi the next morning. I did not know anything about Meher Baba, but wanted to accompany them. So the following day, I went to the Meher Baba Samadhi with them. As I entered the place, I felt a deep connection, and silence started settling within me. At the Samadhi, we had to form a queue, and go in one by one into the Samadhi room. When my turn arrived, I went in and prostrated at Baba’s feet. As I got up, I felt a change within myself immediately. I just wanted to sit there and meditate but there was no space as people were already sitting around the Samadhi.  Luckily, a place got vacated soon, and I sat inside in meditation. I went into a deep state of bliss and silence like never before. It was the most intense meditation I have ever had. During the meditation, I felt the strong presence of Mohanji guiding me and instructing me. I wanted to meditate for a very long time there, but we had limited time and had to leave for Shirdi. As I came out, I learned from Jyotiji that Mohanji has visited Meher Baba’s place and she showed me a picture of Him standing near the Samadhi. I understood then why I had felt such a strong presence of Mohanji, and why I was brought there by Mohanji. Given the time constraint, we had to leave for Shirdi, but throughout the way, I felt deeply connected to the Divine: there were hardly any thoughts and nothing else mattered. This was the most wonderful experience I had ever had in Shirdi , and remember, it was totally unplanned from my side.  But wait! There was still more to come!

reality quote

Throughout the trip, Jyotiji was with me and I was totally mesmerized by her love and devotion. I wanted to spend more time with her and requested her to take me with her for Samadhi darshan, which she lovingly accepted. We went for Darshan and as always, Jyotiji kept talking about Baba and Mohanji and inside the temple, told me stories of Baba which I did not know. I was again taken into a state where there was only Baba and me, and nothing else existed. While we were talking, Jyotiji told me to read Shri Sai Satcharitra. I had started reading this previously, but discontinued it because of time constraints, and had not managed to complete it. Maybe this was a signal from Baba to start reading it again. Jyotiji took me to the Parayan hall (place inside the temple where people read books on Sai Baba) and told me to start reading again there. We went in, took the book and occupied places randomly. I hadn’t opened the book yet, and was just looking at it. Jyotiji told me to keep the book to my heart, think about Baba and open any page randomly. Keeping the book to my heart, I prayed to Baba to bless each and every soul and, placing my hand inside the book randomly, I opened it.  It seemed a miracle to me that it opened at the very next page to the one where I had discontinued reading previously!  It was the beginning of a new Chapter in Shri Sai Satcharitra that I was supposed to continue from. With deep love and gratitude, I completed that chapter and decided to read it daily from then on.

If this was not enough, I also unexpectedly got involved in Annadhan (food donation service) arranged by our beloved Mohanji Family members near the Samadhi Mandir of Baba. This was like the icing on the cake! I felt like I had jumped into a river of Grace and it was taking me effortlessly into bliss!

I was having the most amazing trip to Shirdi. Each moment was transformative. I was wondering how an unplanned trip like this could be so transformative. But was it actually unplanned? Here is my answer: Mohanji had arranged it for me. When we were back in the Ahimsa Vegan Cafe and started sharing experiences again, I learnt from Jyotiji that she was with Mohanji the day before arriving in Shirdi- the same day that I got a strong urge to visit Shirdi. I believe Mohanji sent Jyotiji to create this experience for me. I do not know how to express my gratitude to my beloved Mohanji for all that he does for us. This experience has taken my faith and connection for Mohanji to a different level altogether, and made me understand how Mohanji and Sai Baba are one and same.

When I started following Mohanji, I did not know much about Sai Baba. But gradually, I developed a deep interest and love for Baba and became an ardent devotee of Baba. With my limited understanding, I could not comprehend how this connection with Baba was initiated and intensified by the grace of Mohanji. It cannot be a coincidence that the first time ever I visited a Sai Baba temple, was with Mohanji.  It is hard to describe in words how blessed we are that Sai Baba is living with us through our Master- Mohanji. We still have Baba physically present with us as Mohanji. We must have gained a lot of merits in our past lives to be in his divine presence. Can we get any luckier? Can we ask for anything more?

Sai and M

We cannot comprehend how our Master works on us, how he takes us to the right place at the right time and to meet the right people. We are always fine at his lotus feet. We never miss anything, but we get the right thing at the right time, as per our capacity. This amazing transformative experience was made possible by the grace of our beloved Mohanji. I bow down at his lotus feet, and I am always secure at his lotus feet.

I also owe deep gratitude to Jyoti Bahl for being an amazing instrument of the Tradition and for helping me have these experiences.
