Day 95 Lesson – Set in place what you need to today

Good morning everybody. I hope you’re doing well.

Yesterday was the beginning of the annual Global Summit. (Date was the 14th of February 2021, if this is being listened to later) All the heads of Mohanji platforms, all the individual teams within the Mohanji Foundation – such as the Kriya team, the Sadhana team, and all individual country teams come together in this unifying event. All shared the activities that were completed last year and set the focus, the goals, the orientation, and the objectives for the coming year.

Madhusudan, the CEO of Mohanji Foundation, introduced the day, kicked off the summit (which will last for a few days), set the format, and gave a great overview of the plans for the year. He spoke about our spaces, the Centers of Benevolence (which are coming up), the land in Ganeshpuri – what is happening there, plans, and the intentions of all the elements to be put in place. I’ve shared some of those before., but these will be messages to the world of living in harmony with nature, a safe space where people can come and take part in their practices.

The land in Ganeshpuri is by the river, so there will be bathing Ghats going down to the river. There’ll be a Shiva Linga probably installed for people to worship. There’ll also be a forest with all the animals, beings and the 27 trees associated with 27 stars that are aligned to everybody. (Everybody is connected to a particular tree, animal and bird). When you offer to that tree, it helps your life as well as your lineage.

So, aspects like that will be included in these spaces, locations for practices – such as caves for meditations, halls for yoga, satsangs, and meditations, and a place where food will be served 24/7. It is quite exciting to listen to the progress being made there.

Mohanji reiterated that we can always be looking to do more; what more can we do today to reach the hearts of more people. He reminded us that we have this one life; let’s use our time well, be effective, and live a fulfilling life. This is the theme I wanted to speak about today because Mohanji also had a conversation on the same subject this morning with a close friend (who’s in business and has many plans for the future and various business opportunities coming up).

Mohanji always supports and encourages people, especially if they’re making a living, supporting themselves, and giving stability to others. Mohanji asked him an interesting question; he asked, “This is all good, but how much time do you have on Earth?”

I think that’s quite an impactful question. Whilst, I’ve learned from Mohanji that we should make the most of our time each day, today, there was a new dimension of how Mohanji sees his life. He is always waking up with the question, “What more he can I do?” As we spoke more, he said that he’s very realistic about life – about the reality of life. For example, say he lives maybe up until 80 years, from where he is now that’s probably only 7000 days left. So for him in that respect, each day matters, and each hour probably matters as well.

Mohanji also adds that what’s possible today might not be possible tomorrow. We can’t guarantee that the environment will be the same; we can’t guarantee that the health will be the same. For Mohanji, it’s a hardcore reality that today is the day. Whatever needs to be set and put in place should happen when it can be. Delays can happen; there are things that you can’t control. But putting steps, completing what needs to be done, and setting what needs to be done today, is something which he was reiterating. There’s no time to waste!

What arose for me from that message was not just doing the activity, because he also asked the question, “Are you satisfied? Is there contentment in the activity?” I think that’s important learning, which I’m finding too. More than just doing an activity and taking steps to move things forward, am I also putting what needs to be done in place today? Ask (ourselves) if there is satisfaction, contentment and fulfilment in every activity.

I’m learning that as important as the activity is, it is also the attitude that matters. It is important to set an attitude in place each day because if there’s criticizing, complaining, judging, being angry, frustrations, it’s probably not worth it. With every day being important, there’s no time to waste. There’s also no reason for activity and life not to be fulfilling. It was another depth to his message to use time well, not to waste any time and to be extraordinarily realistic, that today is the only moment that we have, so to set in place whatever we need to today.

Yesterday was another example of how quickly Mohanji works and how swiftly he puts things in place. We had a request for a call with Mohanji from some doctors, introduced by a friend, and they wanted to contribute towards some of the activities. So late last evening, after the event was over, I arranged the call. They had a good talk. It was in Malayalam, so I couldn’t understand much. After it finished, Mohanji just asked me to put them in touch with one of the ladies, Savithri, running the animal care activities in Shirdi.

I shared the number and connection, and they had a phone call/conversation within minutes. It all happened in the space of 20 minutes. What transpired in that 20 minutes is that – they had been looking for a doctor or a series of doctors for a long time in Shirdi (they desperately needed them). It so happened that these were the exact type of doctors they needed; thus, they came together and made an agreement within 20 minutes. It was organized in such a way that what they had been looking for, for some time, came about. Mohanji put it in motion and set it in place.

I hope you have a great day ahead and will speak to you all soon.

Day 96 Lesson – Being there for people

Good morning everybody. I hope you’re doing well.

This year’s theme for 2021 is flexibility, stability, and friendship. I thought today it would be good to share a conversation I had with Mohanji yesterday morning. For me, it summed up very nicely, a lesson that I’ve learned since being with Mohanji, which is we can always be there for people, and we can always stand by people. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to take on everything they’re going through, their situations, problems, or troubles. We can keep a nice healthy boundary so that we’re still there for them, but we don’t take on all their trash too.

I found that this in the past, and even now, is important for my stability because I’d become very involved in someone else’s troubles trying to help, especially if we want to look out for people and help them. I thought this was a good message to share and something that can bring stability and help build great friendships.

These aren’t the exact words, but this was the general message. Mohanji said that sometimes in life, we really won’t know the value of something until it’s gone, and once it’s lost, we regret it. Like everything in our lives, there’s a formation stage, an appearance stage, and then a dissolution stage. For every event in life, there’s a history, a cause, which can be internal or external.

Internal comes from what we’ve collected over lifetimes, and through this life, maybe like prejudices, bad memories, hatreds. External can be something like, if we didn’t like the first impression of someone, then we take that, and it can cause us to take on something and a situation to occur later.

When we think that every situation has its cause and it’s probably personal to the person as well, whether internal or external, we can recognize then that every situation and everybody is unique. So, it’s quite impossible to know the true cause of a situation somebody is going through.

I shared this message with the help desk and the engagement team, who deal with people daily. It’s important that when we speak with people and counsel them, the utmost that we could probably do is to strengthen them. For those suffering, we can strengthen that side, and that’s probably only a real possibility sometimes.

When somebody says there’s a problem or a situation, what can we really do? We’ll never know the full reality of how that occurred, or we don’t know the cause. Hence, the most practical thing is probably to stand in solidarity with that person. What’s good about that is we don’t have to accept their version of a situation or problem or trouble. That’s theirs to take. We don’t have the whole picture, but what we can say is, “Okay, this has happened. And I’m here, and we can walk together now.” Thus, we don’t have to let people put all the burden onto us, but we can stand, strengthen and stabilize.

Mohanji also said at the end of the conversation that the easiest way to solve a problem, especially relationship problems, is by loving and letting go of the past, accepting weaknesses, forgiving and forgetting. Nobody is perfect, and we can’t truly love another unless we accept all imperfections.

That was a nice message which he gave yesterday morning. I hope you have a great day ahead, and I shall speak to you soon.

Lessons Living with Mohanji – Days 87 & 88

by Christopher Greenwood

Day 87 Lesson – Serious practitioners

Good morning everybody. I hope you’re doing very well.

This morning we woke up in a hilltop location, close to the land we’re visiting today. We arrived late last night (I think it was close to 12 am) on this winding, bumpy, narrow track, right to the top where we are now located. This morning we sat on a veranda looking at nature, the surrounding areas of the hills and the trees. It’s a peaceful, quiet, and tranquil setting with clean air and silence—ideal for practice.

Mohanji just shared with me a quote from a scripture, and I’ll read it as he spoke it. He said, “That which falls into the ocean will be destroyed. For those who do not listen carefully, speaking to them is futile. It’s wasting time. The knowledge you give to a fool is wasted. So there’s no point in teaching science or scriptures because it won’t be practiced. And whatever you offer to a fire pit that’s not lit is wasted. It is of no use.” That’s all that Mohanji said about this. What I took from it is not to waste time because Mohanji has shared so many teachings and insights into life, but until we’re practicing it and living it, what’s the use at all.

The place where we reached today is a location close to Chikmagalur. We’ve come to visit a land, which will be a very exclusive centre for serious seekers and practitioners. That’s the vision that Mohanji and the team have in mind. It’s a very remote location. When we arrived last night, the air was really beautiful and sweet-smelling. There was no light pollution, so there was a completely clear night sky full of stars, completely lit. In the distance, you can hear the sounds of nature, the birds squawking in the morning.

This location has been the place of sadhana or practice for over 1000s of years by really serious masters, and very close by, there’s a Datta Peetam. Also, there are lots of caves underneath the area, where people in the past have seen sages emerge from. The idea is that this location will be where people can come and really be with the silence, observe silence, and practice their sadhana intensely. It is a really exciting concept!

We arrived late yesterday, after a trip to Idagunji, where there’s a standing version of Ganapati (Lord Ganesha). It’s been there for hundreds, if not 1000s of years, and again, as we reached, Mohanji was warmly welcomed as if somebody was coming home. They recognized him and sat him down, and he had this elaborate pooja they conducted for maybe 45 minutes, which we weren’t expecting. A grand reception indeed!

Soon after that, we were back on the road, a long journey, probably six or seven hours of these winding tracks, to reach where we are now. Sitting in the morning, hearing that quote from the scripture, and recognizing the vision for this place, gave me a bit of new awareness or a bit of a shake. When we are moving from day to day to all the different locations, it can become quite intense. But it’s given me a reminder this morning not to lose track of all the teachings that have been provided by Mohanji and all the insights. They are very simple to put into practical life but aren’t going to be of much use unless they’re put into practice.

If I were to condense that down, what I took from that short recital of the scripture this morning, is not to waste time. Definitely on this trip, when Mohanji has been speaking with the team here, he is extremely focused on moving all these spaces forward as quickly as he can so that more people benefit. We were also talking about the land in Ganeshpuri and the other land too.

We are ready to go now, have breakfast, and then head towards the land to view it.

For me, the summary or the remembrance was that – everything that I’m learning is useless unless it’s being put into practice. Unless I’m applying it and making the most use of time, and that’s exactly what this trip has been about. Although we visited all these fantastic sites and had a warm welcome, there’s been a focus with the people here on how we can move forward all these spaces as quickly as possible, so that people benefit it, as quickly as possible as well.

I feel that is the same for all the platforms too. It’s a reminder that there’s no time to waste because the sooner things are done, the more people in the world are benefiting.

I hope you enjoyed that. I’ll share a photo of the location that we have. Have a great day ahead.

Day 88 Lesson – Lessons in history

Good morning everybody. I hope you’re doing very well.

Yesterday we arrived late back to Bangalore after spending the morning visiting the land where this exclusive centre for serious seekers and sadhana will be. It’s a really lovely location placed high up on a hilltop; big banks, some steep and some flat areas within a forest. And it’s very quiet; the air is clean, it’s fresh. In the nighttime, it’s a completely clear sky so that you can see all the stars.

As Mohanji and everybody spoke, you could imagine it coming to life. The cabins sitting amongst the trees, rural-style accommodation, rope bridges, caves for meditations, even meditation platforms out in the open area, vegan food being served. Maybe 100 people can stay there at any time. The whole place would be in silence. There is flowing water there in this land too. There are many possibilities to bring a unique space and a message to the world.

From start to finish, the trip itself was an observation in seeing a different dimension to Mohanji as a friend joining other friends who had invited him to join the trip. I think he enjoyed it because he hasn’t had this opportunity in the past years to travel that freely. Usually, right from the start of the year until the end, it’s booked up with programs, visits, events, and there’s no space to spontaneously say, “Yes, I can join you. We will do this.” The idea came from Mohanji’s friend suggesting that they visit the land. And if they were taking that time to make the distance in the journey, they could take a couple more days and turn it into a pilgrimage, visiting these really powerful temples en route.

For me, it was a good way to observe Mohanji in that setting. Also, I learned a lot because his friend and the group we were with shared the same passion for bringing back these ancient traditional values that existed in India for time immemorial. The principles of Sanatana Dharma, righteousness, restoring goodness, truthfulness, honesty, moving away from anger, hatred, jealousy, greed, all these types of things.

As they spoke, I overheard the conversations and took part in them; it was also an education system (not just the power) of the heritage and the richness which existed within India). It was also a history lesson about what my fellow British men or countrymen had done previously, during that time and occupation of India.

Being technically British was a big education for me because I didn’t know the level at which my fellow countrymen had occupied India. For its riches, destroying temples, really eroding the traditional systems around the temple culture which existed there – where everybody was looked after and provided for. Everything was respected.

But over time, that was systematically broken down and replaced with the more western-style systems for even health, medicine, education (just creating more bricks in the walls). Even in businesses, success was measured over the number of corpses that you’ve trampled on from your competition, rather than encouraging everybody in the value chain to be prosperous, which these traditional systems did. It was really interesting to hear this.

The enthusiasm with which people are connecting to Mohanji’s mission to restore these principles of Sanatana Dharma, through the teachings he’s sharing, through the practices, through the books that are being created, through initiatives such as the Moksha trust – which is rejuvenating dilapidated temples. For me, all this deepened my appreciation for all these platforms that are being put together because they’re coming from that place of Sanatana Dharma, righteousness, and ultimate truth. With these coming into the world, it will bring that shift in awareness and consciousness, which is Mohanji’s ultimate vision. Thus we can move from anger, hatred, greed, jealousy up to the higher human’s refinement of love, compassion, kindness.

Looking at a bigger picture of how the British originally came to India and completely missed the real wealth which was resident there; whilst they got all the riches – all the money, the gold, the jewels which financed much of the Industrial Revolution and all that activity. They completely missed the inherent true wealth, which now is emerging through these teachings and the appreciation of the culture.

For me, this trip brought a new deepening into the platforms and potential they have, the heritage they come from, and what they are looking to bring towards the world, restoring this righteousness.

I hope you have a great day ahead and will speak to you soon.

Transformations through group meditations – Part 2

By Malaysia Meditation Group

Intense 41 days Spiritual Practise – The Power of Purity Meditation

The idea to organise an intense global sadhana for 41 days was conceived in a dream of one of our Mohanji Acharyas. In the dream, Mohanji had informed her to organise the sadhana. It was complete with instructions on how to do it, to the extent of what is to be written. He said that when the Power of Purity Meditation is practised every day for 41 days in a group, a powerful golden grid is created around the Universe, which helps us flow into space to connect to the loving and healing energies instantly.

It took her a while to plan and also to find the resources to run this program. With the blessings of Mohanji, after communication with teams globally, the event was launched on 4 June 2020 and ended after 41 days on 14 July 2020.

Here is a part of the diary of the journey by the Malaysia group!

4 June – Day 1

The energy was very intense, even during the breathing exercise. I felt a tingling sensation in my head area, and it spread throughout my body. It was then that I saw Mohanji, who had come to grace the mediation with his presence.

During the meditation, my body felt so hot, as if it was on fire. I could feel the heat in my breath, and my eyes were burning. My head was aching so much. It felt like someone had stuck a dagger in my head, and I could hardly think.

During the day, somehow, I was guided to take Shirdi Baba’s vibuthi. I mixed it with some water and drank it. But then my head still felt heavy, and I could not keep my eyes open. I thought I would just lie down but fell asleep for 3 hours. I woke up feeling very refreshed. I had not slept this well in such a long time.

5 June – Day 2

The day started with some technical issues. I was wondering why no one had come on board for the meditation with only five minutes to the start. “Was my facilitation that bad, that no one came back?” This was the thought that played in my mind, hahaha! A quick message to the group revealed that they were already in the waiting room, and they informed me that it showed I was in another meeting.

I just froze for a while, not knowing what to do, and I was guided to exit the meeting and restart again. Yay! All were still there in the waiting room. Although feeling a little flustered, I calmed down very quickly and just focused on what I had to do. The energy was again very intense. Midway through the meditation, I saw that many masters in golden light had graced us with their presence. I could not see who all of them were, but I had a glimpse of Lord Dattatreya and Avadhoota Nadananda! It was like the whole Guru Parampara had arrived. Shirdi Baba appeared in a dazzling, bright golden light. He held out his hands, and rays of golden light flowed from his hands onto all of us, showering us with blessings.

7 June – Day 4

We were all soaking in the guidance of Mohanji’s voice when my PC suddenly shut down. It was so sudden that my thoughts were suspended in mid-air.

Somehow I was quickly guided to reboot my PC. Surprisingly I was very calm. I waited for the PC to reboot and restarted the meeting again. All this happened within a few minutes. I restarted the meeting and saw that everyone was still there and some had opened their eyes. I started the meditation music, and I was guided to begin exactly at the part where Mohanji says, “When thoughts enter…..do not resist…..just watch the thoughts without participating…..see them come and go.” The words were so appropriate to help everyone settle back into the meditation.

I, too, settled in when suddenly I felt a surge of energy and felt engulfed in a brilliant and blinding golden light. I was suspended in the middle of it, and soon, my body just disappeared into the light. It was as if my body had turned into light, and I could not see myself anymore. My heart area felt so expanded. I had wanted to stay in this state forever but then duty calls. I had to facilitate and end the session.

On checking later, some of the participants had opened their eyes but flowed back into the meditation when it restarted. One commented that Mohanji’s super-powerful voice guided us back even though we strayed away for a while. Another person had felt very distracted over the last two days, but today she had an amazing experience as she was totally lost in herself.

11 June – Day 8

Today again, I had another challenge with my computer. It decided that it wanted to update itself. Thinking that it will not take long, I decided to let the process continue. Fifteen minutes had passed, and it still had not completed.

By then, I prayed to Mohanji to speed up the process. But Mohanji had other ideas. I was guided to move everything to another location. It took some time to set up the whole thing, and I noted that I still had less than 10 minutes to start the session. Somehow during this time, I had remained calm and focused.

At the back of my mind, I thought that the meditation would not be the same since there is a change of location. Today, a new person joined us, so I explained the whole process to her.

It took a while for me to settle into the meditation. I was also keeping an eye open for people who may be late. It does happen that people get disconnected and have to rejoin the session again.

My body was swaying gently with the energy flow. Towards the end of the meditation, I could feel myself travelling at turbo speed through this place full of people. It was so fast that all I could see were shapes of buildings and people. At the end of the path, I saw an old person with a long beard in a flowy, white gown standing at the door of a building. I zoomed past him, penetrating the building and soon felt myself being propelled into a golden like aperture. I found myself in a cave-like structure, and it was filled with golden light. Seated at the end of the cave, shining in bright golden light, was Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. She was sending out a lot of energy (Shakti) which I understood from her she was sending out to the Universe. I was so immersed in this state, and before I knew it, the meditation was ending, and I had to close the session.

What an amazing experience, so I guess it does not matter where I sit for my meditation! Jai Mohanji!

Today many others felt the intense energy, and they shared this:

  1. Thank you so much. It was a very, very intense meditation. I cried a lot, and I feel very light and relaxed. Thank you, everyone. (She just joined us today and her first time experiencing the Power of Purity Meditation)
  2. It was very intense. I felt severe pain and pressure in my chest as if there was some cleansing—otherwise a wonderful and powerful experience.
  3. I just want to share this with you. I felt some burning sensation from my stomach for a while in today’s session, and towards the end, I saw a pair of eyes just flashed for few seconds, just a glance!

15 June – Day 12

Towards the end of the meditation, Shirdi Baba once again graced our session. He tossed several handfuls of vibuthi on us. The vibuthi turned into golden particles as they descended on us. At the same time, the wispy, dark mist was seen leaving our system, floating upwards and vanishing into space above us.

As the process took place, a giant white cloud formed at the top of the space we were all in. The cloud was swirling, and violet light was circling it. Golden light streamed down from this cloud and covered all of us. I then felt Baba touching my head. I felt so spaced out that it was so difficult to come back.

I feel so blessed to be part of this group, as the collective energy from you brought us all to such a beautiful space. Gratitude to the masters. Jai Mohanji!

Day 40

Today is the 40th day of our intense sadhana, probably another ordinary day, I thought. Today as soon as we finished our breathing exercise and slipped into the meditation, a bright light appeared, and in the light, I could see many masters moving forward in a semi-circle. In the centre was Satya Sai Baba. The light engulfed all of us, and we were transported to this space. In this space, all of us were seated in a circle around the masters. Our bodies radiated golden light. Golden rays of light from the masters connected to each of us, and we started to move in a circular motion around the masters. The motion picked up, and we were spinning at high speed akin to test tubes in a centrifuge*.

Mind, as usual, started thinking that this is all an imagination. But then I felt my whole body vibrating, especially in my stomach area. Tears started to flow. We were bathing in this golden light throughout the meditation. Towards the end of the meditation, I found myself in this tunnel. The walls were golden in colour and moving in a circular motion. It was in continuous movement, and I could feel the light getting brighter at the end of the tunnel. Somehow I was not allowed to proceed further into the tunnel, as the meditation came to an end, and it was time to bring awareness back to the body.

Note :

* A centrifuge is a laboratory device used to separate fluids, gas or liquid, based on density. Separation is achieved by spinning a vessel containing material at high speed; the centrifugal force pushes heavier materials to the outside of the vessel.

Bliss of Silence Meditation from 6 to 26 September 2020

16 September 2020

I was feeling very tired too. It has been almost ten years trying to run the activities for Mohanji Malaysia. Thinking to myself, I need a break, but how can I stop when there is no one else to help to facilitate sessions. Suddenly this morning, during the Bliss of Silence Meditation, when I was about to zone off, Mohanji appeared. He was wearing a white kurta and orange dhoti, the same outfit when I first met him in Singapore. Many people were trying to put some shackles on his feet, but he just walked off with the shackles.

Perhaps he is sending the message that he is always with me from day one and nothing is ever too heavy to carry and to just keep walking.

Blessings Unlimited

Mohanji yelllow

Sreeja Ranjit, Ethiopia

“You didn’t come to me, I came to you. That is how much love I have for my people.” Mohanji

Whenever I read or remember this quote, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and have tears flowing down my cheeks. I come from a family in Kerala, India, where both my parents and in-laws do not believe in following a Guru’s teachings. So even though I was very religious and used to visit temples frequently, I never believed that a Guru would walk into my life and change it forever.

I always had the desire to do social service, charity work, and to help people who were in need, but was always skeptical because I did not know if it was reaching the right hands most of the time when money was donated. I never used to feel happy because of the above reason. I was working back then and did not know any organisation to go all out and to be among people to help directly.

During Power of Purity Meditation – Thus Spake Mohanji

Then Mohanji came into my life in February 2017, and even though initially it was through blogs and videos (I had finished watching all his videos and read all the blogs before I physically met him), the connection was already strong by the time I met him in January 2018, in a satsang in Thrissur, Kerala. I still remember I was waiting for the satsang from December onwards and was so excited about meeting my Guru for the
first time. My soul was rejoicing and my heart was so expanded in happiness as if I had found a treasure for which I had been waiting many lifetimes. I remember praying nothing should go wrong and that I should reach Thrissur from Cochin on time. Needless to say, my experience there was so profound all throughout the satsang.

From the time I met Mohanji, he has fulfilled all the true desires I had sincerely wished for. It was during the 2018 Kerala floods that I joined Ammucare, and we as a team could reach out directly to many needy people in distress and  I was feeling so happy because that innermost desire to serve was getting fulfilled. It is only his grace and experience from Ammucare that helped me to start doing the ACT activities here in Ethiopia from the very first week we landed here. People here warned us saying Ethiopia is not safe but I was not a bit scared as Mohanji had assured us that he is always with us and was taking care of us. He has always said,

“When you start taking responsibility for the well-being of the world, the world takes responsibility for your well-being too. Life is always reciprocal in kindness.”

There had been a phase just before we moved to Ethiopia when I was completely down due to an incident and I was constantly praying to Mohanji to guide me so that I could accept the situation with awareness and let it go. I was not able to forget the incident and every morning I was waking up with a heavy heart as I was more or less free at that time as my husband had just left for Ethiopia and we were to move there in a few months’ time. As usual, Mohanji always listens and one day, a week later, I got a request to write on the Mohanji Consciousness page. I was not sure if it was my cup of tea but I agreed as I felt I will be more close to my beloved Guru’s consciousness. I started writing and within 2 days the weight of the incident started reducing and within a week I forgot all about it even though it had been a serious incident of betrayal which had broken me down completely. I still feel it was a miracle that had shifted my mind from it. I became my normal self again in a few weeks’ time and it had lost its importance in my life. Without any struggle from my side or any self-talk, I had accepted the incident even without my conscious knowledge as a part of my karma and moved on.

During Power of Purity Meditation – Thus Spake Mohanji

Now, I’m coming to the present incident that happened recently during the 41 days of PoP sadhana. I love to do the Power of Purity meditation as it makes me feel so blessed and rejuvenated. Moving to a new country had forced me to do the meditation alone. Since I knew the importance of group energy during meditation for blockage clearings, I had an ardent desire for PoP to be conducted online as a group. When I enquired back then in December 2019 before the Covid-19 situation, I came to know it was not possible to do online sessions. Last month in June 2020, suddenly one day, I came to know that 41 days of PoP sadhana was going to be done online and my joy knew no bounds. Another desire in my heart was thus fulfilled in a few months’ time. Immense gratitude to Mohanji for making this impossible thing possible.

Registered with South Africa Mohanji Acharyas, my sadhana began beautifully. About 15 days into the meditation, I started getting severe headaches. The migraine was so bad that even with migraine painkillers like Ibuprofen, it would not go away. It would fade for some time, and come back with more severity. After each meditation, my third eye would throb and the headaches became unbearable.

Mai-Tri - Mohanji Foundation

Since it was getting impossible to bear the pain daily, I asked Mai-Tri practitioner Savithri Vasudevan for a Mai-Tri session. After the session, she told me a lot of blockages across lifetimes were getting cleared through the body. She told me once the blockages are cleared, I will be fine. But I was finding it so difficult to get up in the morning for the EBC routine with the head throbbing badly. 10 days continued this way and since it was not getting any better, I asked her for another Mai-Tri session. She said it is not required and later told me that Mohanji had asked her to work together with Mohanji Acharya Preeti Duggal. Preetiji, immediately messaged me saying that I should take Baba’s Udi in water till the headaches subside.

I did not have Baba’s Udi with me but have read many experiences of devotees in the Sai Satcharitra that it is the faith and devotion that matters. So I chanted Baba’s Gayatri 9 times, and drank the water mixed with the Udi I had with me. I got engrossed in my work and later within an hour or so found that my continuous headache of 10 days had reduced considerably. I was feeling very happy but decided I would continue to
take the Udi every day till I recovered completely. The next day, I got up and found my headache had reduced further and it was only like a very feeble heaviness in my head. Within 2 days, I was completely fine and my headaches had disappeared. They have never returned after that day and I completed my 41 days of meditation successfully. The miraculous power of Baba’s Udi cannot be explained in words. It was Mohanji who introduced Sai Baba to me and told me the power of Udi when my son had been sick. I have known all great Masters of the tradition only through Mohanji. I also started reading the Sai Satcharitra every Thursday. It was only with Mohanji’s and Baba’s grace that we could visit Shirdi for the first time last year.

Sai Baba – Experiences With Mohanji

I feel so grateful for all the blessings and grace that has been showered on me and my family and my only wish now is to always remain surrendered to Mohanji and the Masters of the Tradition so that I can move steadfastly on the spiritual path. Koti koti pranams to the lotus feet of Para Brahma Swaroop Mohanji.

Presence without presence

Mohanji Turtle

By Mahesh Bhalerao, Canada

When you love Mohanji from the bottom of the heart, Mohanji does appear, you can feel and observe Mohanji’s presence. It happens with awareness and if your sentiments are strong, you can undoubtedly feel Mohanji’s presence.

Mohanji yelllow

We have all had so many experiences in the past; however, Mohanji Datta Tapovan (MDT) Ashram, Toronto, is a place where you can strongly feel Mohanji’s presence even though he is physically not present at the ashram site. Mohanji’s last visit in June 2019 was very powerful and a strong presence of Guru Mandala was experienced because we had Mohanji Acharya training conducted by Mohanji at the MDT Ashram. After finishing the program, Mohanji left for his next destination on June 27th, 2019, and while leaving when I went to see him, I was feeling very nervous and sad, and Mohanji said to me, “I am going, however, I am not going, you will feel me.”

This beautiful experience unfolded whereby I felt his presence in his room, very soon after Mohanji leaving Canada.

At Mohanji Datta Tapovan Ashram, Mohanji has a room and when I went inside the room on June 28th, 2019, I felt Mohanji’s strong presence and he gave me his darshan sitting on his usual chair. I could see with my eyes that he was sitting on his chair.

This may sound delusional, and I too was carrying the same thought. Maybe it was a hallucination. However, my doubt was cleared by one more evidence of Mohanji’s presence at the ashram. This time it was his footprint on the cushion, which Mohanji normally uses under his feet, whenever he sits in the main sitting area near the fireplace. My son Neerav also confirmed the same and then I realised that it was not a hallucination and his presence was evident and true. Later, when Sanjay Bhai came, he also saw the same and confirmed the presence of the footprint as Mohanji’s presence without presence.

Even after one year, on June 19th, 2020, at 3:30 am, I heard a noise in Mohanji’s room. Because of the Early Birds Club, I was awake and ready to do my daily Sadhana. I heard a noise and my first thought was, what was that noise and who might be in that room early at 3:30 am? I really felt that someone was in that room.

BABA

I checked the door and it was locked. The second thought was it must be Mohanji, and I opened the door and went inside, putting the diya (lamp) in front of the Sai idol. I could feel a presence, had goosebumps and literally felt the energy source moving around exactly as if someone was walking in the room behind me.

I realised that it was Mohanji’s energy as his favourite perfume smell in the room at the time was very strong. As I was sitting there thinking in my mind if this was real, there was a noise in the room again, this time it was from the washroom. My joy had no boundaries as Mohanji was responding to my thoughts. I prayed to Mohanji that I was very happy, my Father/Baba (Mohanji) was present with me on my birthday, and as usual, started crying and was on the floor doing Sashtang Namaskara (prostrations). After a while, I left the room thinking that if this is all real, I would like to see Mohanji in any physical form.

Lord Datta

After performing the Kakad aarati, while I was at Lord Dattatreya’s temple around 8:15 am, I saw an unusual movement on the ground near the temple. Curious and a little upset as I thought that someone had thrown some garbage on the ground, I went closer and realised it was moving. After taking a good look, I realised that it was a turtle! I ran back to the basement kitchen to bring some food for it. I was happy to see the turtle because at the same time last year when Mohanji was at the ashram, we saw a turtle, and that turtle was referred to as Maha Vishnu Swarup (a form of Lord Vishnu).

For me, it was darshan of my Maha Vishnu MOHANJI, my Father had shown me his physical presence in a unique way. For me anything and everything is Mohanji, as it says in Mohanji’s aarati, ‘Bhagavan Brahma Vishnu and Shiva Swarup, which is nothing but Lord Dattatrya as one.

I believe that Mohanji himself appeared in the form of a turtle showing me his Vishnu Swarup. I did Vishnu Shastra names chanting and Lord Dattatreya’s aarati. My strong belief is that Mohanji is a Swarup of Lord Dattatraya and his consciousness resides in all living beings as well as in the smallest living sukshma (subtle or intangible), beings on Earth.

My humble and loving gratitude to Mohanji for showing me his presence in the Mohanji Datta Tapovan Ashram in such a beautiful and tangible way.

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 6 – “A dream that transformed me”

mohanji on spirituality

Rakshitha Ananth shares a beautiful dream experience that was a wake-up call for her, in which Mohanji reiterates the importance of sadhana on this path of liberation.  Sadhana helps increase our devotion and through that our connection to our Guru remains steadfast. Enjoy this realistic story in our series: Mohanji Satcharitha – Chapter 6.

For more such stories, read the blogs on Mohanji Satcharitha – Chapter 6.

A dream, but not a dream

by Rakshitha

Mohanji says, “if there is no transformation in life, then there is no use in meeting Masters or listening to them. Inner transformation is the key.”

However, my dream is proof that it is not just physical presence, even a message conveyed in the dream can bring in transformation.

An understanding of my background and spiritual practices is a good place to begin. I was a very inconsistent practitioner, be it Kriya, chanting or meditation. However, I do like helping people and sharing the knowledge, whenever and however possible. So I maintain some Whatsapp groups where I share Mohanji’s messages every day. I also maintain a Facebook page to post positive posts. etc. I love to listen to stories of saints, read powerful books and blogs and watch documentaries, all of which keep me inspired. They help to keep the fire burning within me.

I was initiated into Kriya on Dec 12, 2016. I felt it was like a new life given to me after the initiation. But I did not practice Kriya. In the entire 1 year and 9 months, I might have practised Kriya only around 10 times. It reached a point where I almost forgot what I was taught. I attended the Kriya Intensive program in Bangalore in October 2018 and learnt the steps all over again. However, even after all this, I was not consistent. It seemed to be a challenge to sit down and do Kriya. I was able to complete 45 days of chanting the Mohanji Gayathri and 45 days of the Power of Purity meditation; but practising Kriya….. seemed difficult and I never could reason why!

A few weeks prior to the dream I describe below, I had watched Sant Tukaram’s movie and heard a soul stirring and  fulfilling discourse on Tukaram’s life. I prayed to Mohanji to bless me also with such unshakable devotion and that HE should guide me for the same. In short, I asked HIM “How do I increase my bhakti towards You? What can I do to have increasingly greater devotion to You? “

Mohanji speaks on when inner transformation happens

On 4th November early morning around 5 am, I had a dream. In the dream, I was with Mohanji in a tent like set up. It appeared there was a satsang of some kind, with people having their snacks and taking blessings from Mohanji before returning home. After all of them left,  only Mohanji and I were in that tent. It had few white chairs and a couple of tables. Mohanji was wearing His usual jeans and an orange jacket on top and had a black laptop shoulder bag with him. He was about to leave when I started having  this conversation.

Mohanji on dream state – it is very important!

I don’t remember exactly how it began, but within few minutes we were enveloped in an intense conversation where I was trying to convince Mohanji that I was doing good things and helping people and that I wish to do more. Mohanji counters this and says,

“What is the use? I am ready to give everything of mine to you? How will I ever get  the confidence that whatever I give you, will come back to me?”

I was shaken hearing these words at which point I was crying in the dream and in real life too! He continued saying,

“All good things that you do will add up to your spiritual bank balance. No doubt. But what that spiritual bank balance can give you is – to be born in a good family, to have good friends, a stable life, to get a guru and to have a path laid in front of you. But if you do not walk the path, what is the use? Your own sadhana is the only one that will take you further from here.  Else you will come back to the same point. And you have been at this point many times now.”

At this juncture I woke up from the dream crying in real as well and realised it was a dream, but I was in shock. This message touched me deeply and I  contemplated on it for a long time. Soon enough, I understood his words with greater clarity.

Mohanji’s QandA on Let this be your spiritual practice

As I write my experience, I am glad to say that I have completed 43 days of Kriya successfully, without a break. The message in the dream was strong; it felt like a kick in the back and I needed it, in fact  it was an urgent necessity.

Mohanji on moment

Now I have the answer. Bhakti intensifies only when our sadhana intensifies. Having only devotion is like watching a movie and getting emotional. It is doing sadhana that makes you feel alive and present in devotion. With Kriya, I have now added chanting twice a day, Hanuman chalisa once a day, aartai once a day at least, reading Satcharita on Thursdays etc. I am now happy and confident about myself.

Mohanji Arati

I now understand why sadhana is very important alongside involving oneself in numerous positive activities. Positive activities are great, they raise your vibration. But sadhana makes it more meaningful.

Thank you Mohanji. I cannot thank you enough and I am sorry for trying to convince you in the dream. The all knower you are, what is there to convince you about me? I am a small piece of dust at your feet and you are as huge as this cosmos itself. Nevertheless, I had no control over what happened in the dream. But the transformation is what matters most.

At your feet always!
