Service at the abode of Shiva: only Master’s grace

Traveling to Kailash was never in my bucket list until a few years back.  I had heard many experiences of various devotees and had even read the book, ‘Kailash with Mohanji’ in bits and parts. It was mesmerizing to read and hear about Kailash and the  ‘Kailashis’ but nothing stirred me enough to consider my trip to Kailash; probably Shiva did not consider me eligible at that time.

Entering the phase of Motherhood – Walking the path

Unlike other women, I guess the dream of becoming a mother wasn’t an easy ride for me. Quite a topsy-turvy ride it was. Like other young couples, right after marriage, my husband and I moved to Muscat, Oman, as my husband got a career opportunity there.

Busy in the hustle-bustle of settling into a new life and a new place, it took a toll over our personal life and thinking and planning about a baby took a back seat. Finally, after settling down well and feeling financially secure, we started planning for a baby in 2013.

Also, I had met Mohanji in this year in Muscat.

Being fearless

It is the second week of May. The UK is finally seeing a decline in the spreading of the Covid-19 virus. Lockdown measures are slightly relaxed, although restrictions for travel, school, shopping, socialising and for the elderly, as in many other areas still continue. After the loss of thousands of lives and devastation to so many families, we are hoping that life will return to relative normalcy soon.

An attitude of gratitude

It’s been a time of deep introspection, where one really looks at what is really important to one, and who is important to one. In my case, I too had to really face my mortality. There were moments where I thought if this is the end of the line for me, then so be it. I will go peacefully and gracefully. It has not been easy, and at times my breathing was a problem, but somehow I have managed to pull through this.

Surrendered faith

The following experience has left me speechless. I was having chronic fatigue yesterday. It was so bad that I could hardly get up from my bed. My body was stiff and I couldn’t even walk to the kitchen and had to drag myself there, both mentally and physically. I wasn’t sick, but it was more of tiredness due to routine work and no proper rest. I decided to go for a massage.
