Lessons living with Mohanji – Days 61 & 62

by Christopher Greenwood

Day 61 Lesson – Travelling with Mohanji and a birthday miracle

Good morning, everybody. I hope you’re doing very well.

Yesterday was our first day here in Palakkad. Although I’ve already talked about how Mohanji works at a pace, I hadn’t yet experienced what it’s like to travel with him. Things have definitely sped up. And you have to be very, very alert, aware, and active to keep up with the shifting schedule and the need of the time. Nothing is completely planned out for the days and events, and day by day, even hour by hour sometimes, things are changing.

What we have to work with is what we have. So, the lesson I’ve shared before of being flexible, working with what you have, has come in very useful here. For example, yesterday morning, we had to record a video on spirituality and veganism for a conference later in the year. The reason we had to get it done then is that we didn’t know what the rest of the schedule would be like, whether we’d have a chance to do it later. So, we had to find the right spot quickly, bring the right props from around the area to make it look good. We also had to keep to the time; we couldn’t stretch over if there were any mistakes. Everything had to be done well.

That’s another thing Mohanji is stressing on; things must be completed by when they need to be completed. And that’s intensified now while we’re travelling.

So, we finished recording it, it was great. We went to Mohanji’s family home, where we were greeted by everybody there and had a lovely welcome. You could see the joy on everyone’s faces as Mohanji arrived, came out of the car and walked up the stairs. Everyone was overjoyed to see him again after such a long time. We were served Chai, and people had their time with Mohanji.

One of the main reasons we went to Palakkad was to visit a Sai Baba temple, where Vittal Babaji, one of the great masters connected to Mohanji, performed the prana prathishta of the Sai Baba idol (where they infuse energy into the idol). And Mohanji said that Baba really is sitting there.

Mohanji comes every year to perform a flag hoisting ceremony, which will take place in a few days. We visited there just to arrange everything and finalize the schedule. Therefore, once we said hello at home, we travelled again to the Sai Baba temple. And here was another lesson or example for me: whatever we have planned must happen. If there’s an obstacle, you find a different way, but you reach where you need to.

So, as we were driving, we felt a rumbling in the car. When we stopped, there was a flat tire. But, within no time, the car behind us stopped, which was some of the group who were following. Mohanji just simply went to join this car, called me over as well, and we both jumped in. So, Ananth stayed with the driver to fix the tire, and I joined Mohanji in the new car. Within two minutes, we were back on the road, following the plan; there was no fuss, no frustration, no problem; the show just continued.

When we arrived at the temple, Ananth stayed behind because he was usually in charge of the camera, taking the photographs. This time, he gave me the camera. This was another lesson in flexibility because that’s not something I’ve done before either. And I quickly found out that when you’re trying to take photographs of Mohanji, he’s not going to stand around and wait for you. He’s got his work to do. You have to be in the right place, thinking of where he’s going to be for the right angle. And you have to be quick because he’s not going to be stopping in one place for too long.

Thankfully, the tempo was surprisingly very quiet. It was just our group there, maybe five people. There’s a local dog that stays there, too, who was very happy to see Mohanji. Mohanji said it was Baba’s favourite dog.

We said our prayers, and Mohanji had gifted an Ammucare 2021 planner at Baba’s feet, along with some vegan chocolates, which are part of that Ammucare package. The temple was very peaceful and powerful. Mohanji said that Baba is actually alive there, and he fulfils the earnest and most noble of wishes.

After discussing the plans for the upcoming event with the team there and arranging the timings, we went back to Baba’s Aarti, which was just starting. After Aarti, I was able to witness Baba fulfilling one of the most earnest of wishes. There was a lady there who had brought cake, and she was giving it to Mohanji, and I was taking photographs. I couldn’t understand the language, but I collected from the closeness that she was part of the temple, that she worked there, and she was giving Mohanji and the rest of us some prasad.

Later I found out that she had been coming there to see Sai Baba for some time, and she’d been praying. All she wanted in her prayers, if Baba would allow, is to meet Mohanji and share some words with him. Just a conversation. She had been praying for this. And yesterday was her birthday. Although she wouldn’t usually visit the temple on that day, she felt an intuition or calling that she should go to the temple for Aarti. She also brought some cake along.

It happened that Mohanji was there. No other people were there, no devotees other than us. It was just her, which is why I thought that she must have worked there. So, it was a real miracle for her, her wish came true, and she had her time with him. There was no one else around.

By the time we’d finished, the car had just arrived with the repaired tires, and Ananth was able to catch the last of the Aarti and give his prostrations to Baba. It was amazing to witness how everything came back together like that, especially for the lady, and that the car was repaired just in time to take us to where we needed to go next.

Finally, we returned to Mohanji’s parents for lunch before retiring. It’s been a real lesson to witness the fluidity at which the schedule emerges because there was no major planning at the beginning; it’s all happening day by day, hour by hour. It emerges, and we have to be quick to adapt.

So that was a little bit about what travelling with Mohanji is like.

I hope you have a great day and speak to you soon.

Day 62 Lesson – Reminders of lessons and witnessing the elements tamed ️

Good morning, everybody. I hope you’re doing well.

Travel continues with Mohanji today, and so does the pace. We’d been staying at a very rural location the past few days, which had at least given us some time to be able to complete unfinished work. However, that requires some juggling so as to fit it around the events that are happening during the day, as a lot of it is spontaneous.

Yesterday morning while we were preparing the next day’s schedule and plans, we were joined by Madhu (CEO), as he had come to help prepare for the book launch on the 17th and discuss some other plans as well.

In the morning, Mohanji informed us that we’d be joining a group of very serious business people, entrepreneurs, who come together regularly as a mastermind group to work on projects and share ideas and challenges. That was okay because we’re ready to travel at short notice and stay over.

But what I didn’t expect was that Mohanji had also arranged that we present the “Invest in Awareness” program there. Mohanji said that we should have some slides ready so that we can present them well. That would have a good impact because these were some serious people. So, it was a great opportunity.

I knew that our morning would be busy because we had guests coming for breakfast. We also needed to prepare, plan and pack for the t travel, too. So, I didn’t have too much time to create the slides. I thought, wrongly, as I’m aware now, that we would have some time once we reach the location, which is about two hours away, to settle into the room and have half an hour of spare time.

So, I’d ask the team if they could start working on slides that I’d be able to update a little bit later. This is where I was reminded of another lesson that I seemed to have forgotten at that time: to always ascertain and never assume, as Mohanji regularly says.

It became quite apparent once we started travelling that there wasn’t going to be any time once we arrived to do any more work on the presentation. We were going straight to the meeting. The lesson was to make the best use of time when you have it. When opportunities like this come, take them and readjust priorities to do the most important things first. Especially when travelling with Mohanji, because there’s no guarantee that there’d be good access to the internet, power, or even a stable surface to have a laptop on and work. Most of the time, we were in the car. So, this was something that I was learning.

On the way to the car, Mohanji asked if the slides were ready. They were being made but hadn’t been finalized yet because we were going straight to the meeting. I had to finalize them in the car. And, if you’ve ever been on Indian rural roads, that’s quite a task because it’s very bumpy. It would have been much easier if we finished them earlier. I wished that as well.

But lesson learned. The meeting was really great, actually. It was in a lovely location in nature at the top of a mountain. When we arrived, I was really admiring Mohanji because he had gone straight from early in the morning meeting people and guests and speaking all day, then in the car travelling, to then arriving at this meeting. Straightaway, he went into three and a half hours of Q&A sessions with the group. It was amazing to see how he was able to completely provide the same energy and enthusiasm as you would normally expect. Everybody was engaged, the questions were flowing. Mohanji was giving answers with complete clarity.

The majority of this group has connected to Mohanji via the 4 am Club, which is quite a large group of people from the Malayalam speaking community worldwide. For almost a year, Mohanji’s been giving daily messages of inspiration, advice, or talking about a relevant topic for the group. They were so happy to meet him in person, after a long time of hearing his voice.

The meeting was focused on the challenges that businesses were facing during COVID at that time. Although it was mainly in Malayalam, there were a few English words, so I was able to follow.

Another thing that was also good to observe, as it wasn’t so easy to follow the conversation, was incredibly windy there. We arrived late afternoon, and we were outside in the circle of chairs, and the wind was blowing, leaves were coming across, things were getting blown around. Mohanji’s hair was blowing in the wind; it was difficult to speak and hear each other.

But, a few minutes later, the wind completely dropped. It was completely still, and nothing was happening where we were, but in the distance, you could hear the wind still going and the trees blowing. It was a strange feeling; I felt that Mohanji must have done something because I’ve observed something similar in Bosnia at the Kriya training before.

Then the Q&A continued. It was about three and a half hours long, as I mentioned. Once Mohanji had finished, and we were saying our goodbyes, it was as though the wind just came completely back. We continued talking, I gave the presentation, and Madhu also spoke. But the wind was just ferocious again.

This morning I was curious, and I asked him: “I noticed yesterday that the wind had dropped.” He just said: “It was becoming really difficult to speak with my hair blowing around, and I wasn’t able to hear much.” He said that not many people would have noticed because obviously, they were in mid flow of the conversation.

So, another piece of amazement for me to witness yesterday. Personally, I’m really enjoying the fluidity at which Mohanji moves. I was also incredibly thankful for the opportunity to speak to such distinguished business people in the area about “Invest in Awareness” because we’ve made some good contacts now, and I’m looking forward to following up on them, too.

That’s the message for today. I hope you have a great day ahead and speak to you all again very soon.

Bliss in Meditation

Here are some beautiful experiences shared by participants on Mohanji’s guided meditations. Many participants had profound experiences and were amazed at the consistency with which they were able to do this sadhana. RimJhim, Padmini share some insights from this meditation which enriched them and Charles jokingly refers to them as ‘The Mohanji shortcuts’.

Rimjhim Prasad, India

I am very new to the Mohanji Foundation. Honestly, I did not know what to expect out of this meditation, but I started my journey in good faith. About a week back, when I sat for meditation, I felt sick with heaviness in the head, backache and nausea. I thought I would never be able to complete my meditation that day. But to my surprise, not only did I complete my meditation successfully that day; since then, I haven’t experienced any pain in my neck and head region, which is very common with me. The next day when I sat for meditation, suddenly there was an outburst of tears, and throughout the meditation, they were pouring out uncontrollably. But that night, I slept like a child. When I got up the next day, I felt very light from within, as if a lot of burdens I had been carrying since I don’t know for how long has been removed. I haven’t met Mohanji, and I do not know if I am actually connected with him, as I’ve never had any spiritual guru or guidance earlier.

I surrendered myself to Mohanji, saying that please let me complete my meditation today as I’ve vowed to experience the 41-day meditation without missing a single day! I’ve started my journey in good faith, and may he guide me and bless me always!

Padmini Ravi Kumar, Dubai

On 15th June, the Bliss of Silence meditation was very turbulent to start.

As the breathing began, many people and many faces unknown, of different races and from different periods were flashing in my mind. It was like a rapid succession of picture slides flooding in, flashing in front of me; the mind was spinning.

There were times when I didn’t hear Mohanji’s instructions in the meditation. This flashing of faces went on for some time, and suddenly when Mohanji told us to go slow in our breathing without our lungs being aware, somewhere at that point, the madness or flashing pictures stopped all of a sudden.

A sentence flashed in my mind, or I heard (I am not sure),

“Silence is the substratum on which sounds dance.”

This was very clear.

Then Lord Shiva, larger than life, appeared. He was all-encompassing; there was only Him, nothing else!

Soon after, a vision of Krishna sprouted, followed by many Krishnas and myriad people doing ‘Raas’ with him.

Then I heard Mohanji’s voice asking us to be aware of the body as part of the meditation.

I bow in gratitude to Mohanji for this beautiful opportunity for group meditation and for enabling me to get deeper into the silence within.

The Mohanji Shortcut by Charles Ndifon Londi

Humanity generally loves shortcuts to go somewhere or to achieve something in life. Why spend so much time and energy going all the way when there is a shorter route to get something or arrive at a destination? This expediency is particularly noticeable in the political and social milieux, where people take shortcuts to power, wealth, and fame no matter the consequences to themselves or their society. Here we look at shortcuts, from the spiritual perspective, not in a very favourable way.

Many gruesome stories abound of people in the socio-political sphere who tried to short-circuit life by using shortcuts and ended up regretting their actions. It would appear that one’s real intent, most probably of an altruistic nature, would determine if taking a shortcut is worth it. They involve a lot of creativity on the part of anyone who is in any situation, so they could be very personal and unique to different individuals.

As a Mohanji student, I have come up with what I call the Mohanji Shortcut to help keep my heart centre open and ”Just be love for a few more moments, just be love forever” as Mohanji prescribes in Blossoms of Love Meditation. I have found out, and many can attest, that it is not so easy to demonstrate the love that Mohanji talks about. Each individual is love already, as Guruji says since the fabric from which we are cut is love, but a keen observation proves that the perception, recognition, and realization of ourselves as already beings of love not needing to seek love but just to express it is another thing altogether. In fact, it is not easy to work from the Master’s prescribed point of view as the mind sometimes goes crazy, keeps judging, analyzing, condemning, seeing things in categories rather than as a whole.

Even after doing the meditations diligently, you may sometimes hear the mind saying, ”You are undeserving of my attention. You are crude, rude, ungrateful, unkind, and scheming, and I don’t want to have anything to do with you” regarding another person. This may be accentuated by the fact that some people may want to use you as a footstool because you talk to them about love, as outlined by Mohanji. So they want to attach to you, take advantage of you, and abuse the love that you so generously pour out in various forms. ”Oh, he/she is a God-loving person”, they say and think you can put up with just about anything. I have experienced this countless times, and it is ongoing. However, I reckon that as free beings of love, we also have the freedom to give or withhold love using our sense of spiritual discrimination. This may entail an opening and closing of the heart centre, which Mohanji wants us to keep open constantly. This is where the Mohanji Shortcut helps keep one in a constant state of love awareness consciously and unconsciously.

What I jokingly call the Mohanji Shortcut is remembering to do everything in Mohanji’s name where I cannot help myself, where the mind overrides, and I become judgemental with so many ‘whys’. Since Mohanji Consciousness is the highest state that we all aspire for, doing acts in his name in normal and difficult circumstances when the mind interferes helps to keep the ‘I’ or ‘ME’ factor in abeyance and behold, love, steals into my heart without me knowing. And sometimes I have fun walking, eating, chatting, sleeping, dancing, taking medication, etc., in Mohanji’s name. I find that doing things in his name engenders sweet remembrance of the Master and that which he represents– the Universal Supreme Consciousness. In one situation, when in a quandary of what to do or say, I just asked myself, ”How would Mohanji act in this situation?”

The answer that flowered was ‘with love.’ All that Mohanji presents (talks, retreats, seminars, Guided Meditations, books, and discourses) and represents is a shortcut to unblemished supreme consciousness/awareness of life.

A miraculous shield

red jacket

by Ami Hughes

There was a dull thud upon impact. I realised my car was hit.

The car just ahead of me took a left turn. I followed, also turning left into Twickenham Road on my daily route to our work headquarters in Auckland Park – a Johannesburg suburb.

It was a quiet morning, not much traffic on the roads. Twickenham was even quieter. No other cars aside from ours. The multi-coloured Toyota Avanza turned right on to the oncoming lane, and I passed it.

Suddenly I heard a dull thud. My heart sank. There was that sickening kind of feeling in the pit of my stomach as I realised my car was hit.

Then the scenes turned surreal. I felt half in and half out of my body. Everything that followed appeared to be like in a movie, and I witnessed the scene from far away.

Everything was in slow motion.

This is how it unfolded.

The street was still quiet. There were no human witnesses to what had just happened, only the All-Pervasive, All-Seeing, All-Knowing Mighty Divine beyond the range of physical perception.

I got out of my car, shaking like a leaf. I just couldn’t stop shaking. The fear of the cost of the damage to my vehicle was uppermost and completely consumed my mind at that moment. Repairing BMWs do not come cheap even though insured. My car is not even three years old.

I was not hurt but was anything but rational. I was gripped in a mixture of shock and fear and anger too and engulfed in that horrible sick kind of feeling. This was exacerbated by weeks of worry and stress over uncertainty at work with the threat of retrenchment letters hanging over our heads. On a personal physical level, l was afflicted with unrelenting debilitating headaches. They caused my blood pressure to skyrocket – and now this!

The accident was just the catalyst that burst my emotional dam wall. The pent-up frustration was at boiling point and spilt over in anger. I was seething. It overrode all sensibilities.

I looked at my car in horror. The back bumper looked awful, oh and the mag wheel rim (more sick feeling). It also looked hideous. Again my thoughts raced to the cost of the possibility of having to get a new rim as well!

The other driver also got out of her car, which was still on the opposite oncoming lane in half left turn back towards the left lane again. We approached each other. It was another lady driver.

Looking at the state of my car in disbelief, I shouted to the lady as we approached each other, “What have you done? You turned right!”

And she shouted back, “I indicated.”

Me: “No, you didn’t.”

Lady: “Yes, I did.”

Me: “But you turned Right!”

Lady: “I indicated!”

Me: “Look at my car!”

And this went on and on with our voices getting louder and louder in the quiet suburban street. Both of us were in shock. Our reactions were far from calm, rational or reasonable. The lady was driving a company vehicle. All the noise brought out a few residents from inside their homes into the street. They looked on with much curiosity as to the cause of all the noise.

I have to admit that I was not myself at all, sadly. With all that I had been experiencing physically and energetically over the past several months which were very trying and testing, I felt alone, unsupported, and physically, emotionally, mentally tired and generally just fed-up with my lot. Ridiculous thoughts flooded my mind like, ‘Beam me up, Scotty. I’m done here.’

As the commotion was going on, a car approached on the oncoming lane. It happened to be one of my work colleagues. She was so amazing, ultra-calm, and she immediately took charge of the situation.

Colleague to me: “You’re shaking. We need to get you some sugar water.”

My colleague helped me take deep calming breaths, and she also spoke to the other driver, gently and kindly.

By then the lady (driver of the Toyota Avanza) had radioed her colleagues and reported the incident. They worked in the security department at the University of Johannesburg, outside of which the incident occurred. Her colleagues arrived on the scene quite quickly and assessed the situation. The other car was still in the oncoming lane.

Everyone on the scene was very kind. They helped the other driver and me to take down each other’s details. They guided us to take photos of the cars and reminded us to report the incident to the police within 24 hours.

Their calm handling of the situation kind of brought me back into my body. I felt as though I was waking up from a dream into conscious awareness.

I was taking in the finer details of things around me. Curiously, I noticed the other driver’s hands, fingers and fingernails. They were very elegant with red nail polish. I looked at her face and thought she was so pretty, and I liked her, and I realised she was also scared.

My heart melted for her. I felt empathy; immediately and sincerely, I apologised for all the shouting with the purity of my heart. The exchanges had been loud on both sides. She also genuinely apologised.

I instinctively reached out and hugged her (at the moment forgetting all about the covid social distancing). She hugged me back.

Thinking about her family, and perhaps she might have children or old parents relying on her (these were the thoughts that I found were racing through my mind as I was slowly and consciously taking everything in). I urged her to please stay safe and take care.

We parted as one human caring about another. It felt right and natural. It felt good.

My car was not mechanically damaged. I gingerly drove to work. We need an access card to gain entry into the parking, and into our greater office building. I drove to the third floor and parked in my parking bay.

I was feeling quite light-headed. I sat in the car for a few minutes, breathing slowly and deeply, trying to steady myself. Gathering myself, I got out of my car, opened the boot to get my handbag, and realised I did not have my access card with me. My mind was a complete blank. I could not remember where I had put the access card.

I had to think for several moments, yes, I had to use the card to gain entry into the car park, so the card had to be in the car. For some 40 minutes, I searched high and low inside the car, under the car, I emptied my handbag – no card in sight. Where could the access card be?!

My awareness level was zero; my mind-body-senses were not in alignment. My energy field was scattered.

I wondered whether I had dropped the car at the entry point. So ensuring in a slow and measured way that I had the car keys in my hand, I locked the car and slowly walked down three winding floors to the entrance, still feeling quite shaky in the body.

The card was not there either. I asked the security guards whether they had seen an access card perhaps dropped at the entry point at the checkpoint. No, they hadn’t.

Again there was much kindness from the guards. One of them asked whether I was alright. I said no, I didn’t feel so good and that I just couldn’t remember where I had put my card.

He kindly walked me back to my car on the 3rd floor and helped me search for the elusive card. We could still not find it. Goodness, it appeared to have just vanished! My mind was again all over the place, and I still felt acutely light-headed.

Then my eyes fell on my little purse inside my handbag that held my driver’s licence and identity card. I reached out for it and opened it. And there it was – the access card!!!

For the life of me, I did not recall putting it into that purse. I was so relieved. The kind security card was also smiling ear-to-ear, so happy for me that I had found the card. You can imagine the state I was in, not to have remembered where I had put the card.

I was still feeling misty-eyed when I got to the office. I quietly sat at my desk for about ten minutes. I made myself a black coffee to ground myself. Thoughts were racing through my head. I needed to go to the police station, get an accident report number for insurance and all the nitty-gritty of paperwork.

A moment of pause, I took a deep breath and messaged my Beloved Master, Mohanji, telling him about what had happened. By then, the waterworks were in full flood. I just cried and cried and cried silently. My colleagues respectfully let me be.

Mohanji’s reply came within a few minutes, “Be Cool. You will be OK. Proceed with the rest of formalities.”

OMG! Mohanji said, “Be Cool.” Thinking back on the drama earlier, I was anything but cool!

And my Master knew it. He was physically thousands of miles away but was a first-hand witness to the unfolding drama earlier.

My beloved Master also said something else in the message. It’s something of a personal nature which I don’t feel I can share publicly. In reply to my response, Mohanji said,” I am with you. Be cool. Be Mohanji.” I felt very comforted and strengthened by His messages.

The police formalities proceeded smoothly. It was the first time I had driven to the famous Brixton Police Station in Johannesburg!

Considering what to do next, I drove straight on to my car dealership for guidance on how to proceed considering the car was still under a motor plan. They cautioned me to go to their recognised repair centre to ensure I don’t lose the motor plan’s benefits. I immediately drove to their recommended repair centre some ten kilometres away. All the formalities were done with pictures taken of the damages. They said they would email me the quote. Again it was quite a straightforward, painless procedure.

As I drove home, I felt compelled to take the car straight to the carwash near where I lived, for a thorough wash and full valet service.

Two beautiful, helpful souls setto work. I told them what had happened. They were very sympathetic and said not to worry. You should have seen just how they went about cleaning the car.

Finally, it was all done. They said, “Come see ma’am.”

I expected to see scratches and dents. There was not a single scratch, nor a dent on the bumper. Nothing! I looked on in utter amazement and peered closely at the rim. Here too, there was not one scratch on it. I was dumb-founded.

I recalled hearing a thud at the time of the incident. There was an impact, and yet there was nothing to show of the morning’s incident. It was a Miracle! A Miracle! My Master’s Miracle.

Mohanji’s protective presence is a powerful shield. When he says, “I am with you,” these are not empty words. They are the words of a powerful Master filled with the energy of Source. This was tangible, observable proof. Mohanji always says to us all, “Stay connected. Do not doubt.”

How often our minds lead us astray in messy, knotty thought entanglements. We apply our limited human concepts to our Master. Yes indeed, Mohanji is in a physical body, and how often have we, mistakenly, thought of him as being just an ordinary human being. He actually prefers it that way.

But please let me just say, put the ‘extra into the ordinary,’ in our definition of Mohanji, we will be getting a little closer to the truth of his extraordinary source stature.

Back to the incident of my car, there’s more! While still at the carwash, I checked my email on my mobile phone. I was surprised to see that the quote from the repair centre had come in. That was quite quick.

I opened the email, and there was the quote staring at me, detailing a long list of repairs which amounted to a grand total of nearly 24 000.00 Rand!

At the carwash, I had paid just R200.00 for the washing and full valet service. To think I was so worried about the cost of repairs.

Miracle, Miracle, Miracle!

This is my Master’s grace, his unstinting blessings, his mighty cover of love and protection. This mind cannot fully grasp the depth of his unconditional love for us. This is my father’s love always and in All Ways.

About a week after the incident, I received a call from the University of Johannesburg’s legal department inquiring whether I had the three quotes from the repair centres to sort out the insurance.

When I explained the eventual outcome after the car was taken to the carwash, the man was at first taken aback and then completely amazed.

I mentioned the amount quoted for the repair centre’s repairs and how much I had paid at the car wash. The man chuckled in disbelief and relief too. I told the gentleman that there were no damages to my vehicle and that there was no need for any insurance claim. I asked him about the condition of the other car. He said there was a slight crack to the bumper and damage to one of the light covers. Nothing major! He asked whether they could close the case, I replied with a happy and emphatic Yes!

“I am with you.”

Mohanji

My heart is so deeply grateful.

Thank You, my beloved Master Mohanji.

All praise! All thanks to You!

Flying with me to Canada

view-mohanji

By Arpana Nazre, India

At the office, there came a situation where I had to travel to Canada on work. I was tense as I had to leave my little son and go. I am a single mother and have always been by his side at all times. It also meant that I had to leave him with my aged mother. She could take care of him, but it would not be same as me, since she had her physical restrictions though not less in spirit. I tried all ways not to go, but then the work demanded it and finally I had to make up my mind to go.

A month before I had to leave, Mohanji was in Bangalore, and we had various activities and Satsangs organized. At the end of one of the Satsangs, I told Mohanji that I would be travelling to Canada and I was terrified to leave my son since I had never done that before for such a long period considering he was still very young. He said, “Do what you HAVE to do.” He said whatever business reasons I am travelling for, is for my good only and I will find success in this project and future too. He also said, “I would be travelling with you to Canada.” When I told him that my family would be alone, he said in his typical loving style, “Main hoon Naa (I am there right)! I will take care of them.” And indeed he kept up his words.

He travelled with me and gave me signs of it too. And best of the best, he took care of my family too. My office work and relations improved too. What more could you ask in life, – the presence of a living legend, an elevated Master, Brahmarishi Mohanji with you. He sets everything right for us. Every step of our life is taken care of. OMG!! I can’t imagine how hard he works, while we complain of small pressures in life!! Here is a writeup of how Mohanji kept his words.

The day finally came, and with a heavy heart, I started on my journey. While I was boarding the flight to Canada from Bangalore, I think I saw a Chinese man, sitting right behind me. Don’t know what made me observe his presence. But there was something eerie about him.

I just looked at him before boarding the flight; he was still sitting in the waiting area. I got up to proceed to the security check-in to board the flight. Obviously, we are all in the queue. Since he was sitting, he was supposed to be still behind me. When I was going through security check-in, he was still sitting. Once I was inside the flight, I saw him standing right next to my seat. How did he reach before me? There was no way he could have reached since I was way ahead of him in the queue. Anyways, since he was blocking my way, I asked him to make space so I could take my seat. He looked at me, then made not only space but also took my cabin bag I had in my hand and kept in the luggage area without me asking him to do it and allowed me to sit. His action had a strange sense of care in it. He sat beside me for barely 5-10 minutes and soon left. After that, I didn’t see him for the entire flight. Since I was tired, I used his seat too to sit comfortably and also lie down.

Another point to note was – while all the TV monitors got switched off as the passengers were asleep, his seat TV never got switched off, despite the seat being empty. If there’s no activity from the user’s side, the monitors get switched off, but all through the flight, this was the only monitor that was on. Somehow, then, I started feeling it was Father (Mohanji). It was his way of telling me that I am with you. I was even mentally asking, “Father; it’s you right!” All through the flight, I was chanting Mohanji’s name and remembering him.

When we off boarded the flight and were walking out, I saw this person again, walking to the airport terminal exit, again right ahead of me! Where was he all this while? Also, while exiting the flight, there was no sign of him. He appeared out of nowhere!!! Another indication! Goosebumps!

It was as though, Mohanji was telling me and giving me indications, “I have started the journey with you and seen you through the entire journey.” Our human mind engrossed in the gross world doesn’t understand subtle indications. Probably, this was Mohanji’s way of giving me signs, “I am with you”. He had kept his promise when he told me that he would be travelling with me, and he also made sure that I get to know that it was him travelling with me. All through, there was always an inner voice which told me that it was him. Koti Koti Pranams to you, Mohanji. I know I can never thank you enough for being there for me always.

The person who is sitting behind was the one who also incidentally sat next to me in the flight. If you notice, there are two monks right ahead of him, and he is right between. Is it that he has his own guards too? Unbelievable.

I reached Canada safely and called back home to inform that I had arrived. By that time, my mother informed me that my son had a slight fever. I didn’t bother much, thinking that it would slowly come down, since it was just a fever. Next morning, when I called again, I was informed that the fever had increased and he was also vomiting. He had not eaten anything and was not taking medicines too. Since I was the one who used to always take care of him whenever he was sick, mom was finding it difficult to handle him. He was refusing to take medicines, and it was bothering her since if he doesn’t, his condition might get worse. I spoke to him over Skype, and when he looked at me, I instantly knew that he was missing me terribly and was trying to control his tears after seeing my face on Skype. But he behaved so maturely, he didn’t shed a drop of tear and kept looking at me and never said anything.

I asked him if he was missing me and he said, “Yes”. I could see he was controlling his emotions and not let them come out, lest it would disturb me.

I felt helpless and didn’t know what to do. Did I have to make this trip, leaving my child alone at this time? I prayed to Mohanji. I messaged mom, telling her to let him sleep without the medicine. He could take medicine after a nap. To which she replied that he drank the medicine by himself and went to sleep. He never takes medication by himself. It was a miracle by itself. I felt relieved to hear it and came to the office.

Next day again, he had started vomiting, and though the fever had come down, he was not eating his food and complaining of weakness and throat pain. I spoke to him for a long time, trying to convince him to eat something, else he might feel frail. He was not in a mood to listen, and I could see him turn pale due to weakness. I asked my mother to take him to a specialist for further guidance. Despite a lot of people coaxing him to eat, he was not ready to budge and eat anything and complained of throat pain. I felt the same helplessness again. I prayed to Mohanji again, and chanted Mohanji Gayatri, all through my commute to the office from the hotel. When I reached the office, I got a call from mom, saying that he ate his food by himself, and now he is playing with his cousin—miracle of miracles. I had seen him on the skype video chat; he was terribly weak and suffering. In half an hour, there’s no way he could have recovered all by himself. Mohanji was at work again. Tons of gratitude and love to Mohanji for taking care of my family. He always keeps up his promise. He indeed was taking care of my family at this critical time. Not only my neighbours and family offered to help take my son to the doctor voluntarily but also turned up right in time for other necessities during his illness. Finally, with Mohanjis blessings, Ansh (my son) got well within a few days. He was fit and fine.

Another incident which I can never forget is, how even during my stay in Canada, Mohanji ensured that I am well guarded all through the day. I am just quoting a few here.

During the weekend, we were visiting some places for sightseeing. We took a bus, and I sat in the very front seat of the bus. By that time, another passenger got onto the bus, and he didn’t have enough coins to buy the tickets. He caught my attention as he was speaking to the driver. The driver said, either you need to buy a daily pass card to use the bus services, or you need to render exact change to buy the ticket instantly on the bus. He was a little confused, and he said, “Ok, I will get down and buy the pass and board the next bus.” By the time, the driver, knowing he was a tourist, said, he would allow him to travel this one time without a ticket since he was new here. I noticed him because of all this commotion. Finally, that passenger got into the bus. I forgot about this incident and person, and we went to our destination and were roaming around. While I was near the aquarium, I think I again saw him right behind us. It dint occur to me at that time, but we must have seen him a couple of more times during the day.

End of the day, we were back to our hotel area and stopped by to buy some groceries for the week. Suddenly, my roommate said that the person who had boarded the bus in the morning was in the same superstore. Vancouver is a vast place, with lots of supermarkets, buses and sightseeing destinations. The fact that he chose the same bus, same place(s) and the same supermarket too, was too much of a coincidence. I knew at that instant that it was either Mohanji or one of his angels taking care of us. BLESSED BLESSED BLESSED. Not sure if I deserve all this, but we know, Mohanji is unconditional love and keeps up his promise no matter what.

Finally, on the project work getting straightened; it was a new project, and I was just 2-3 months old in the project. I was already feeling the pressure. It was too much and unbearable. There was a time, when one of the days, I just snapped and with tears in my eyes, I decided I was not capable/eligible of handling this project. There was too much going on, and I could not handle the same. But somewhere down the line, I knew that Mohanji put me in this project for some reason; for me to grow, learn some lessons.

I messaged Mohanji that I might not be eligible for this project. Mohanji’s team replied, “Things would be fine. Do what you have to do with an attitude of surrender. He is with you always.” In-spite of a lot of hurdles and working odd hours, long hours etc., I continued working on the project. Somehow internally, I knew that this is something I need to go through probably, for my good and growth. I remember Mohanji saying while he was in Bangalore – “When the disciple has reached a certain level, he increases the fire. The temperature increases and it becomes more difficult, but that’s the test we need to pass.” I kept my faith in him because it is my experience that if he has increased the fire, he is also walking with me, holding my hand and giving me all the support to walk this tough terrain. And it was proved time and again. While working on this project, many a time, since it was completely new, and none of my previous years of experience helped, problems have got solved just like it was a miracle. Until the last minute, I wouldn’t know how to go about a problem, with no help around. Next minute somehow there would be a help or an idea in some form or the other.

I was also entrusted with three big projects which cost huge amounts to the company. It was not about the money, but the trust that was placed on me to carry out the same that mattered to me. Many things which seemed impossible at the beginning just cleared out, by merely surrendering to him. I finally realized that we are not the doers at all. Who are we in this vast space of the universe to claim ownership of things? When his grace is there, hard work is ours, but finally, good results are because of HIM.

It is a true blessing to have a guru of Mohanji’s stature in our lives.

This writing is my humble way of showing gratitude and also at the same time, requesting others to have firm faith in Guru, no matter what. Masters are there with us all the time, to hold our hands in this journey of life. At the same time, they remind us of our duties to ourselves and the world. We keep taking things from various people, places, family, friends, earth, and cosmos. We need to start thinking, what have we done in return. A lesson I learnt from Mohanji is that he only gives, and never asks anything. All he asks is to treat everyone with love and gratitude and not to harm anyone AND GIVE BACK TO THE WORLD AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I pray that I live up to his teachings!

Koti koti Pranams to Mohanji!

An attitude of gratitude

mohanji-m-org

Two lovely ladies from the Mohanji family share with us their expressions of deep gratitude to Mohanji, for his love and protection in their lives every moment in time.

“What can be the highest prayer? The prayer of gratitude. Those who are grateful are also graceful. They are filled with Grace.” – Mohanji

Kim Khim, South Africa

As you all know, I tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. I was tested on the 17th of March and received the results on the 23rd. As you can well imagine, I was shocked and quite gutted by the news. I was put onto medication to treat my immediate flu-like symptoms and sent home to rest. I have spent all my time between then and now, in relative isolation.

During this lockdown/isolation period, I have had much time to reflect on my life and my spiritual journey.

It’s been a time of deep introspection, where one really looks at what is really important to one, and who is important to one. In my case, I too had to really face my mortality. There were moments where I thought if this is the end of the line for me, then so be it. I will go peacefully and gracefully. It has not been easy, and at times my breathing was a problem, but somehow I have managed to pull through this.

fears

I do believe that one’s faith and strength of mind are the two weapons against this pandemic. If you look inside and you turn to your God/faith/Guru etc., you will find all your answers and you will find peace in this time of crisis.

I have stuck with my vegetarian/vegan eating. I have taken many supplements like NAC, zinc, Vit C, propolis, and enjoyed the lemon/ginger teas that my beautiful daughters have schlepped up to me on a daily basis. I have been incredibly fortunate to have the love and support of my children, my mother, family, my dearest friends, and of course the Mohanji family who have unwaveringly been there for me with Mai-Tri, meditations, words of encouragement and upliftment.

Milica, Delo, Julie and Sjarn just kept bringing me back into the light, each time I fell apart. My daughters have been undeniably my two rocks. They have fed me and nursed me, looked after me like you would an infant. It’s just been a life-changing experience, where I as the parent, became their charge, and they took complete responsibility with no fear, and just became the most amazing two moms to me.

With all this being said, I have now tested negative to this virus. I have recovered from it. I still have a way to go in terms of complete healing of my lungs (as I am asthmatic). Please all be safe! And thank you for your messages, prayers and good wishes. It’s this energy which saved my life!

Thank you to our beloved Mohanji, who kept me in his hand and protected me. I know that you are always with me!

I would like to share a miracle which happened a few days ago. I was preparing a sweet dish with rice, moong dal and jaggery. Rice and dal were getting cooked in one pan and in another pan, the syrup of jaggery was getting ready. The rice and dal mixture was ready and the jaggery syrup was boiling and almost ready.

gratitude

Before I could remove the syrup and pour it into the rice and dal mixture, I don’t know what happened, the pan in which the jaggery syrup was boiling, slipped from the gas cooker and the hot syrup fell on my right foot. You may wonder what happened next. The syrup should have got stuck to my foot and burnt it and I would have been howling in pain. But why fear when Para Brahma Mohanji is there.

Nothing that you might have expected to happen turned true. The syrup which fell on my foot didn’t give me the slightest discomfort. I didn’t feel the heat, nor was there any mark on my foot. I just washed my foot and there was no trace of anything! Of course, I had to clean my kitchen many times.

I am sure it was our Mohanji who had come and saved me from what could have been a bad accident.  Thank you so much for saving me and for always being there when I need you.

Love you loads, dearest Mohanji.

Kalpataru Series – A wish to attend the Global Summit

group1 global summit

by Aditya Nagpal, India

Recently, I took part in the Mohanji Foundation (MF) Global Summit in Sri Lanka as the India Head. I really feel blessed to have gotten this opportunity to represent MF India at the Global Summit, and it was all due to Mohanji’s grace. I would like to share my experience, an incident at work, which made it very easy for me to go to Sri Lanka.

I work in the corporate sector and getting holidays for anything is a big deal. You need to have a valid reason if you want to take a long holiday. Last year, I had already taken many holidays and applying for more seemed next to impossible. In November, our CEO Madhusudhan called me and said that I will be heading Mohanji Foundation India and I will have to go to Sri Lanka for the Global Summit.

Mohanji1

I accepted the responsibility immediately but the thing that struck my mind was getting holidays for it as I had already taken a long holiday for the Kriya Intensive program in December 2019. I did not know how to get more holidays as it could make a negative impact on my reputation in the company. So I was a little worried about it, but I had a strong desire to go to Sri Lanka with Mohanji. The time to go to Sri Lanka was approaching fast and I had not even applied for my holidays. I had no ‘valid’ reason to apply. So I just surrendered it to Mohanji and here is how it was taken care of.

I am currently working at my Client’s location. My Parent Company has deployed me there. Three days before going to Sri Lanka, my Parent Company manager called me. I was concerned that it could be about my holidays as I had taken too many. I entered my manager’s room a little worried, but here is what he said, “I wanted to talk to you for the last few days. I would like to tell you that our Client is highly impressed by your performance and they want to take you as their permanent employee. Are you ok with that?”

I could not believe what he said, this was an absolute miracle. I was worried about taking holidays and now I would not only be able to take holidays, but I would move to a bigger company with a higher salary. There was a deal between my Parent Company and the Client that at the end of the project, the Client Company would take the best amongst all the employees deployed there. With Mohanji’s grace, I turned out to be the best amongst everyone. I knew that it was all a divine play of our Master. He arranged this for me.

Our Master will arrange everything for us at the right time, when we are ready. All we need is a strong connection with him. He will send us to the right places at the right time. He knows what is best for us. All we need to do is surrender everything at his lotus feet because he really will take care of everything. When he says, “I am walking with you and protecting you”, he really means it. Blessed are we to be in his Consciousness. Let’s forget our personal egos and work together to spread his mission as much as we can.

My highest shelter

Mohanji

Lisa Qayyum, UK

Mohanji says, “Dear if your faith in me is true, unshakable and intense, your faith in me will never go wasted. I guarantee.”

I surrender every word and action at my Guru Mohanji‘s feet. I wanted to share some miracles with everyone with the hope that it helps at least one person who still has doubts about how the Divine works silently.

I have lived in London for the last 10 years, but I was lazy about applying for indefinite leave to remain (ILR). Because, as a Swedish citizen, and being a part of the European Union (EU), all the facilities and regulations I had in the UK were almost the same, and I didn’t feel that it was necessary for me to apply for ILR. Although my family members alerted me several times, I didn’t bother doing anything about it.

In the meantime, my entire life changed upside down. I went through severe depression and at one point in time; I felt that life was meaningless. There was nothing for me to look forward to. I was isolated from everything and everyone except my search for God.

When I was at the peak of my depression in 2016, I decided to leave the UK for good. I went to Bangladesh, my motherland, and stayed away for 9 months and 14 days. By doing this, I had broken the rules for applying for ILR (according to the law, one cannot stay away for more than six months from the UK if one wants to apply for ILR).

On the 4th of July 2017, I came back to the UK for some reason, and found Mohanji for the first time at the end of August, on a Facebook page.

lisa 3

I wanted to meet him and he was in London in September, but I was not able to meet him at that time. However, I was connected to him almost 24/7 and since then life itself becomes a miraculous phenomenon. I had to wait for another 9 months to meet with Mohanji physically.

Finally, I booked my flights to Bosnia for the 24th of May 2018, to meet Mohanji for the first time. I was very excited that I was going to meet Mohanji and everything was done including my tickets, but I missed to see that my passport would expire within a month. So, basically, I couldn’t fly to any country with this passport.

Just before the trip, one of my closest family members asked me to check my passport and I had said why what’s wrong with my passport. Later that night when I checked my passport, I realised that I had only a month left before my passport expired.

I rushed to the Swedish embassy the next day and they said that there was no possibility of having an appointment for the next two months. Somehow, the following day, I managed to fly to Sweden and with Mohanji’s grace, the problem was sorted out within a week.

This was not short of a miracle!

I had no clue about my own passport but from far away Mohanji knew my situation and through someone else, he silently sorted out my problem. This is how Mohanji works, silently but effectively.

Many of us fail to see his grace, but in return, he answers simply, “Those who have ‘eyes’ to see, will ‘see’ but those who don’t want to see, they choose blindness. Let them go with blessings.” The mind is often in denial and we fail to see the actual truth.

Now in 2020, the UK is moving from EU and Brexit is going to happen within months.

So, I was totally stuck in time limitations. I had already broken the law and on top of that when I left the UK in 2016, I had left all my papers here in London and many of the papers were missing when I came back. So, even though I wanted to apply for ILR, which papers would I submit? And I had to submit all the papers regularly and I didn’t have all the necessary papers.

lisa 2

My situation was very shaky and I just didn’t know what to do next. One day, I was standing in front of my altar and I looked at Mohanji, surrendered all my worries to him, and prayed for him to help me. Knowing that he will take care of me, with full faith and conviction, I applied for my ILR and was ready to accept whatever the outcome would be.

When the Home Office reply came, I could not believe my eyes! They were asking me to submit exactly the papers I had at that moment. In shock, I submitted all my documents and a few days later, I received an email saying that they have accepted my documents and I received my ILR!

Getting permanent residence (ILR) without proper papers is next to impossible in the UK.  The rules and conditions are stringent too. I lost all my papers and had no proof to show that I’d lived for more than 5 years in this country. It was next to impossible. I was in despair. Yet, everything worked out in my favour.

How did this take place? Again, is this not a miracle?

The only thing that worked was how Mohanji helped me. I dare not think of the consequences if this ILR had not come through. My life would have turned topsy-turvy. Mohanji effortlessly changed something that appeared impossible and helped me continue living in the UK. I did not have to spend anything on lawyers in spite of not having the relevant papers.

The Home Office asked me for only what I had at that time. How each problem was being solved so easily, cannot be just a coincidence. Mohanji never reveals how silently he works for us. If anyone has true faith in him, he will never send them empty-handed. But do not take him for granted, because he is not responsible for our karma.

lisa 1

Mohanji is not only a mere name or just the physical form. He is the Supreme Consciousness, the Infinite Source. Omnipresent Mohanji is always with us, walking with us, and whenever I feel I have nowhere to go, Mohanji always answers me from my heart, ‘I am your highest shelter.’

Yes, Mohanji, my Gurudev, without you, life is not possible. Thank you for protecting us as a mother and nurturing us as a father, for being with us as a friend, and encouraging us every point in time to be the best we can be.

I meditate upon the Guru, the dust from whose feet is like a bridge to cross the ocean of earthly bondage. I bow to the Guru whose lotus feet removes ignorance, duality and sufferings.

“I always do my job, if someone has unshakable trust in me, If someone trusts in me unconditionally!” – Mohanji

Nirmalya Darshan: A rendezvous with the purest of the pure

Mohanji meditation

By Subhasree Thottungal, UK

Called by the purest, the highest, and the ultimate for me, I reached Kollur, in India. Sitting in front of Mohanji, basking in his love and energy, I met another devotee of his. While discussing the history of Mookambika temple, the power of sadhana, and the devotion of Shree Adi Shankara which brought Mother Mookambika to him, Mohanji mentioned the spear of Mother Mookambika. It is 32 metres long, of which 20 metres is underground and 12 metres is above the ground, made up of a material unknown to scientists. This spear is on the top of a mountain called Kudajadri, in the Western Ghats, a few hours away from Kollur.

Mookambika Temple, Kollur, India

Immediately, the fellow devotee uttered, “Baba, I am thinking of visiting Kudajadri”. Mohanji said, “Why not?” Then he looked at me and said, “Do you want to go?” I smiled and muttered feebly, “What Mohanji, you know I am here just to be with you!” (The unuttered words, “Why do I need to go to any other place? Every pilgrimage is right here, at your feet Mohanji. Let me settle here.”) Well, do I need to utter any words? Mohanji knows all my thoughts, my exact feelings. He smiled back.

Next morning, we were all in front of the temple waiting to go inside for the Nirmalya Darshan – the early morning visit, the purest of pure darshan of Mother Goddess Mookambika. I saw the fellow devotee standing there too. However, after some time while we were inside the temple, I noticed, he was nowhere to be seen. Later, I found out that he had gone to Kudajadri. I was stunned. What? Only late last night, he uttered his wish to go to Kudajadri and the next morning at 5 am, he had already gone!

I looked at Mohanji, “You are just amazing, Mohanji!” Unuttered words! Mohanji never stops to amaze me! He works at lightning speed. No delay!

The whole day passed. Just before evening, while we were basking in a satsang with Mohanji, my fellow devotee walked in, bubbling with unlimited joy, like a little boy with a trophy in his hand, “Baba, you won’t believe how well my Kudajadri trip went! Can you believe I went right up to the top? No one believed I could trek right up to the top.”

Without any offense, I would like to mention that my fellow devotee is more than 6ft tall, has a well-built body and well over 100 kg! He continued on how he got an offer to be driven to Kudajadri. That morning, while he was waiting with us in the queue, he mentioned to someone about his wish to travel to Kudajadri. Someone from the queue, out of the blue offered to take him to Kudajadri. Without further delay, they were on their way. Joining them were another 5 people consisting of two priests, two ladies and a well-built man as a guard.

While he was explaining how the right people gathered, I looked at Mohanji’s face and noticed that he was smiling. I understood immediately that everything being described was actually orchestrated by Mohanji! Everything – starting from who offered to drive him, to the well-built guard who helped him to trek up, to the priests who chanted the special mantras there, right on top of the mountain etc. Everything was so well organised! Still, Mohanji had his gentle smile and watched and listened to everything that my fellow devotee was describing with so much passion.

Mohanji 6

While describing his journey up to the top of the mountain, which is nearly vertical, extremely narrow, slippery and very dangerous, he mentioned that the hefty guard offered to carry the bag while he tried to pull himself up through a narrow and vertical ladder. He continued to explain how he had to hold the rock above and tried to climb up vertically, step by step. At one point, he felt his fingers and hands go totally numb; he just felt he could slip any moment.

He said, “Baba if I had slipped from there, I would have directly fallen down hundreds of feet!” Mohanji jokingly said, “It was a good idea not to fall, you know, else the rocks would not have looked nice.” We all burst into laughter, and I said to him, “Do you realise, it was Mohanji who held you up?”

The climb
The tough climb

Mohanji said, “Yes, I had to go there and hold him. I had to send them (pointing towards me) out of the room and had to rush to you.” While the fellow devotee was looking at Mohanji, puzzled about what he was saying, I recollected what had happened earlier in the morning. Earlier that morning, while we were deep in some serious discussion, suddenly Mohanji went quiet. I saw his face appear blank, and he seemed out of place. I gently asked, “Mohanji, do you want to rest for some time?” He said, “Yes, I think I need to rest for some time. You can come back after an hour or so.” I quietly left the room, wondering what happened to him suddenly. But I assured myself that Mohanji would rest, not understanding that actually Mohanji had expanded himself and reached Kudajadri to help my fellow devotee who was on the verge of falling down from the steep climb! When Mohanji mentioned this, everything became crystal clear. I realised how the whole event had happened.

(I was also reminded of a similar experience I had during the retreat in London in 2018 when I noticed Mohanji expanding out of his physical body to save one his devotees in South Africa. You can read about that story in this link)

My fellow devotee continued explaining his divine experience. When he reached the top of the mountain, he went inside the cave to meditate. The two priests were chanting some powerful mantras (no wonder why these two priests were chosen to be his co-pilgrims for Kudajadri!) and during this time, a beautiful snake slithered just around him. Probably a signal of the presence of Shiva with him!

From the time that my fellow devotee expressed his wish to visit Kudajadri, Mohanji ensured his travel, his companions, his safety & his protection, even his satisfaction of a successful journey, and finally his unlimited joy on the achievement; everything was orchestrated beautifully.

Witnessing this whole sequence, right from the beginning to its completion, listening to the success story with excitement from the mouth of the devotee, and moreover witnessing how Mohanji had rushed out to the devotee in his expanded state to save him from the fall, I was left speechless.

Being a witness to this event as another incredible story of Mohanji’s incomprehensible grace, I realised that this rendezvous was no less than having the sight of the purest of the pure Nirmalya Darshan, which Mohanji, being an incarnation of compassion, showed all of us yet again.

DIVINE CALL OF NATURE – 2

Mohanji1

by Cathy Johnston, UK

Here is a  footnote development since submitting my testimonial “Divine call of nature” which was published on 8th December 2019.
To share my wonderful experiences with my nearest and dearest was really difficult (as I had anticipated) but the worst for me was not confiding in my Mum.
My mum is undeniably my best friend, she’s clever, funny, has a wicked sense of humour and has always shared my every significant moment. The opportunity arrived when she came for an extended visit last week.  I bravely printed off my testimonial and handed it to her. (Did I forget to say she’s an atheist?)
I left the room to let her absorb the info and came back in, sat down besides her, looked her straight in the eye and asked her ‘what do you think mum’.
She was very quiet, looked right into my eyes and said ‘It’s very strange but do you know something funny, my bladder problems have stopped too!
I vaguely recall Henry (younger son who dragged me to Serbia) mentioning the fact that once we are blessed by Mohanji then our whole family would be blessed too. So I sketchily mentioned this to my Mum.  She responded with a bewildered look in her eye and an audible ‘mmmmm’, so I left it at that.
Later on, yesterday, I heard from the lovely Owen and after telling him this story, he explained the lineage facts which became so much clearer to me (having had this whole experience) and my jaw literally dropped.
My maternal grandmother had the same bladder issues and so the story ends with my cure!
I’m so giddy with this new knowledge and living day proof (from a hard wired skeptic too!) that I want to share it with the whole world.
I was so happy going to bed last night and asked Mohanji if he could help me sleep without me having to take a melatonin (a long boring story of years of debilitating insomnia and the wonderful melatonin solution I discovered this year).
I boldly left the tablet to one side knowing I’d be heard by Mohanji.
My husband followed me to bed and immediately about turned to sleep in the spare room when he heard my melodious snores. I had the most wonderfully deep and restful sleep since I can remember and I can’t wait to see if my mum did too!
Thank you Mohanji for your care and connection.  I asked and you delivered and my faith has been rewarded yet again. Please let your grace be available to everyone through the vehicles of us all.
Thanks to Owen for his beautiful teachings.

Resurrection of Lazarus

miracles

Here is a miraculous escape from the jaws of death of a devotee, saved only by the grace and protection of Mohanji!

I died (well almost). And Mohanji brought me back to life.

The reason for writing this anonymous account is just to make sure that my family does not panic after reading the incident that I am about to narrate. Hence, will obscure certain names of locations to protect me and my companion’s identity.

In India, Diwali is a big festival and is accompanied by holidays at work. I decided to put the few days of Diwali holidays to good use by going to the Himalayas and doing some serious spiritual practices. I consulted Mohanji and he told me about the practices that needed to be done.

The place I was going to has a very powerful Goddess temple. I planned to drive all night, so I could reach it early in the morning. I was travelling with a companion and that person had gone off to sleep while I negotiated the mountain roads in the dead of the night.

As the car turned a corner, I saw a leopard crouched by the road. I stopped the car and woke up my companion to also look. We watched it for a few minutes until it leapt and disappeared in the hills. I didn’t think much of it at that time, but should I have? Was it Divine Mother?

In the next few days, I did my spiritual practices intensely sitting on the lap of Divine Mother.

On the way back, I stopped by the ashram of a very famous saint (who is no longer in the body) and who is known to be an incarnation of Lord Hanuman. As I sat down before his seat, my third eye area immediately started to vibrate as if receiving a Shaktipat. After some time, we started again towards home, Mohanji’s padukas and the Sri Yantra of Divine Mother in a shoulder bag strapped safely in the back seat, like how one would tuck in a small child, with the seat belt.

Within about half an hour, the accident happened. As the car was coming down the mountain road, the brakes failed and the steering jammed, mysteriously. Both my companion and I knew that we were about to fall off the mountain when the brakes failed to stop the car. All of a sudden, the car was off the road and tumbling down the side of the mountain, as they show in the movies. I vividly remember the alternating darkness and light as the car tumbled down while flipping.

People confess their surrender to God or Guru while they are hale and hearty. It is difficult to replicate the few seconds before death and one’s reaction during those last seconds. I was dead calm. As the car was crashing down, I thought I was going to die and I calmly took three names: Mohanji, Maa (meaning Divine Mother) and the name of the saint whose ashram I had just visited. The car came to a stop. (We later came to know that the car had fallen about 100 feet!).

No frantic sentences were uttered while the car was crashing, nor did I see my life flashing before me. The airbags had saved both of us. We were bleeding a little from cuts here and there, but as we climbed out of the car, we realized that neither had any serious injuries. Miraculously within minutes, villagers arrived and rescued us.

protection

As we climbed to the top of the mountain where we had gone off the road, villagers told us that a shoulder bag was found on the road. This was the same shoulder bag which contained Mohanji’s padukas and Mother’s Sri Yantra. It is as if that they stepped out at the top of the mountain, anchored themselves and stopped the car from falling further! We were later informed by the villagers that, the tree which stopped the car from falling further was the last tree on that mountainside. After that was a sheer drop of about a kilometre down the ragged mountain into the river below. Of course, we all realised what could have happened had the car fallen further.

It seemed as if Divine Mother and Father (Mohanji) fought with Yama, the God of Death, themselves to stop him from taking us away.

As I waited for the police to arrive, the only thought that was in my mind was that I knew for sure, the strong bond I have with my Guru, Mohanji – as I was about to die, I took His name. There was also a certain comfort and a feeling of bliss that my surrender and faith was tested and wasn’t found inadequate.

This reminds me of the beautiful Indian bhajan (spiritual song) which goes:

इतना तो करना स्वामी जब प्राण तन से निकले

गोविन्द नाम लेकर, फिर प्राण तन से निकले

This means that – Lord, as my life exits from my body, please allow me to take your name.

Almost felt like James Bond – straightened my imaginary tie after climbing out of the crash! Why should I care, when ‘M’ has my back! (And no, I am not talking about 007’s boss!)

When surrender is complete at the lotus feet of the Guru, the Guru will cross the cosmos to protect you and hold your hand in a split of a second. Physical distances are meaningless between a Guru and the devotee. What truly matters is the bond between the hearts.

faith

Over the next few days, we finally managed to reach home. Apart from the car, we did not suffer any other loss – physical harm (Can you imagine tumbling 100 feet down a ragged mountainside and not requiring even one stitch?), wallets, travel bags, among other things.

Incidentally, I had left Shiva Kavach and Devi Kavach mantras, recited by Mohanji, playing on a loop in my altar room at home. Was this a coincidence?

Mohanji has resurrected me many times before, from sure death, but those stories are for another time.

Today, Lazarus lives, saved by his Jesus.
