Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 6 – “The unseen Healer

Mohanji on pain and success

In the concluding part of Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 6, we share two experiences from Mai-Tri practitioners on how Mohanji’s divine energy cures people and protects them. It is indeed the will of the Master and the connection of the soul with the divine that brings about unbelievable miracles in our lives. Just when we give up on ourselves and our dear ones, the Master steps in and in His compassion shows us anything is possible if it is meant for the highest good. Mohanji is the unseen healer, whose miracles can only be experienced. His grace protects the devotee and generations of the devotee’s family. These two experiences speak about the power of Mohanji’s healing energy.

The Unseen Healer

By Tina Arya

Tina Arya shares this beautiful experience of a patient who is on the road to recovery from stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

mohanji on diseases

Mai-Tri is a very powerful healing modality and as Mohanji says,

It’s a healing method of the White Path.

Mohanji’s divine energy is blessing people with miracles and as a witness I am blown away by these miracles.

I was approached by an acquaintance at the end of December for her husband’s healing. He has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was bed ridden. When I went to their home for the first healing, he was mentally alert but had multiple complications because of the pancreatic cancer. He had severe edema in his legs and could not walk without support. Mohanji guided me and told me that he will get better only if the edema goes down. So I told his wife that she should consult with the doctors to make sure that the excess build up of fluid is drained with the help of medications. At this time, doctors were saying that his condition is not treatable and they can only keep him comfortable.

We had 4 sessions of healing and during the last healing at his home, he drifted in and out of sleep and his condition seemed to be getting worse. His wife was not able to take care of him and Mohanji again guided me during the healing to have him shifted to a hospice. After 3 days, I went to give him healing at the hospice and his condition was much worse, he was barely conscious and his wife said he had stopped eating 2 days back. He had also stopped talking.

His parents called up to video chat with him as I entered the room, so I went out to give him privacy. When the call was over, his wife came out and said that she wasn’t even sure if he could hear his parents, let alone recognize them. Then I went in to give him healing and as I was healing along the third eye and throat chakra, he said, “I want water.” His wife was shocked as he had not spoken for two days. He was so weak at this time that he was being fed through a syringe and swallowing even 5 ml of water took him about 20 seconds. So I stopped the healing and his wife gave him some water. As I healed along the throat and heart chakras, he made a loud sound as if he was in pain so I stopped again and asked him if he was in pain and he said, “No I am not in pain, I feel uncomfortable as if something is holding me down.” Hearing this, his wife was speechless.

There was more guidance from Mohanji during the healing….. his pain medication should be cut down and no one knows how long a person will live. I completed the healing and he calmed down and slept. His wife and I stepped out to talk. She told me that the hospice director said that looking at all the symptoms and his condition, he was not going to live for more than 1 or 2 days. I gave her Mohanji’s messages but she didn’t sound very hopeful at that time.

Amazingly, he started getting better from that day. He started eating with a spoon within a couple of days. His appetite grew and he became mentally alert. It has been two months since I gave him healing at the hospice. Doctors and health care professionals had said that he was not going to make it. He is getting better every day and his wife is going to move him to a rehab center so he can be on his feet again. His edema is completely gone but his muscles are weak so he needs physical therapy. There were so many times that this person seemed to be getting worse but survived way beyond all the doctors’ expectations.

As a healer, I was a witness to these amazing miracles. We are so blessed to be connected to Mohanji and to be given this platform to serve. I have felt my faith and surrender grow exponentially since I was initiated into Mai-Tri healing. My connection to Mohanji has become deeper.

I would like to share another incident that I experienced today, while doing healing for a lady which left me spellbound. Each and everyday, Mohanji is giving us proof of His grace and magnanimity. I have no words to thank Him enough.

This entire family is closely connected to Mohanji. The mother who is 60 plus has been suffering from a swollen ankle and pain for years with nothing working for her. She requested me for the healing today. As I started the distant healing, I saw that it was just strands of fear which was the cause of her pain. She was carrying certain fears from past lives and not only did they get healed and cleared by Mohanji, but four generations in her family, her mother, she herself, her daughter and son, and also her granddaughters received Mohanji’s grace.

It was overwhelming to see how Mohanji was working on them. It left me speechless. It proved that if you have total surrender at the feet of the Guru, the Guru not just takes care of you but your entire family from this lifetime or past lifetimes, without expecting anything in return. I surrender and bow down to His lotus feet in gratitude for letting me experience this.

It feels like I am back home

By Ruchika Gandhi

The Kumbh is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, hence it is not sheer coincidence if a person gets to be at the Sangam, during two consecutive months with our beloved Parabrahma. This is exactly what happened to Ruchika Gandhi and she shares her beautiful experience of being with Mohanji a second time in February at the Kumbh 2019! Mohanji  knows the innermost desire of each of His devotees and in His casual way, fulfilled Ruchika’s desire, and also cleared a lot of karmas through His blessings.

With His beautiful eyes bright and twinkling; Mohanji said, “Come again for the dip if you can.” Hearing these words, my soul firmly decided to make it to the Kumbh again….. Mohanji meant it  seriously, but with all humility, He said, “I am only suggesting.” Upon hearing this suggestion, I wondered how to ask for holidays again at work. Somewhere that guilt factor was playing around in my mind.

After coming back from the Khumb in January 2019, I prepared myself mentally and surrendered at Mohanji’s lotus feet to bless me with the courage to speak about taking leave again. With His grace, one fine day, the decision was made and I finally dropped a message to my boss saying that I needed two days off in February. He responded, “OK, go ahead, but take care of important tasks before leaving.” I took a deep breath…… and was very happy and peaceful that my holiday was approved.

With each passing day, I was eagerly waiting to  take part in the holy pilgrimage once again. Days went on and finally the day arrived for me to leave.  I was scheduled to leave on Feb 8th, but due to an unexpected event, I had to travel for a sudden official trip on Feb 7th.  My flight from Dehradun to Delhi was delayed by 3hrs and I reached home at 1:00am. However, despite the fatigue, I packed my luggage for the Kumbh, as soon as I arrived.

The next morning, I was charged with fresh energy with no sign of fatigue. Only gratitude and love poured out for my beloved Mohanji.  With no expectations and a feeling of emptiness,  I was blank, such was the power and blessing of Kumbh’s calling.

After bathing, I went to the terrace to do Surya pranaams (Sun Salutations). I thanked the Lord for giving me this beautiful opportunity and decided to feed the birds as well. I filled up a bowl with bajra (pearl millet) and water for the birds and bowed and thanked them too. Just as I started to pray, a jet-black crow which I had never seen before arrived and made some noise.  Deep inside, I knew it was a blessing to feed a crow. However, I didn’t know the significance. A few pigeons and parrots also visited that day to enjoy the morning meal.

As I was getting ready, my sister messaged me to get some bread and cheese if possible.  I thought, “OK.” Later, as I went down to catch the cab, I also took some bread and milk to leave in a bowl which I kept outside my apartment to feed the animals.  As I was getting the food ready, I was also chanting the Mai-Tri Healing mantra.  Just then, some dogs arrived to enjoy their meal.  It was a divine moment filled with love, grace and blessings.  What a way to start my Kumbh pilgrimage.

On the way to the airport, I withdrew some money from the ATM.  It only released big notes of 2000 rupees.  I asked the driver to make a quick stop at a store, but wondered who will give me bread and cheese with these big notes.  Once inside the store, I got the supplies and told the shop keeper that I will require some change.  At first he refused, but when I gave him an apologetic smile, he paused for a while and said, “You take it.” This was only possible due to His grace.  Pilgrims are never refused anything and the whole cosmos comes together to take you on the  pilgrimage.

An interesting event occurred when I arrived at the self-check-in at the airport.  I saw a YSS (Yagoda Satsanga Society) monk standing at the next counter. I felt it was all my beloved Guru’s leela (play) and He was there to bless me in disguise. With the sequence of events that took place from early morning till the arrival at the airport, I could feel Mohanji’s love and grace pouring in. It filled me with so much love and gratitude.

Mohanji

Once I reached Varanasi, I called for a cab driver and started my journey to Allahabad. I never felt any fear of being alone in my journey, as Mohanji was by my side throughout. During the car ride, I had only one thought in my mind.  I wanted to buy some jaggery from Varanasi and have it blessed by Mohanji to later serve it during seva on His birthday.  With this sole thought in my mind, I requested the driver to make a quick stop. He wasn’t sure whether we will find it, but he was co-operative enough to make multiple stops on the way.  Finally, after some time, we were able to locate a shop which provided me  with jaggery.  It was so perfect!

The congestion of the city was visible, but the driver drove peacefully all the way.  Hours passed quickly and finally I was dropped off at the Parmarth camp. I didn’t expect the day to flow so smoothly, but Mohanji made it all very comforting. As I was getting off the cab, someone reached out to me and asked for a blanket. I didn’t know how to respond as I had no blanket.  I avoid giving money, so I moved into the ashram, but the feeling of not doing something for that person was etched in my mind.

Once inside, I felt like I was back home  in familiar settings, the aura and the feel of the holy land was just amazing and heart-warming. I also got to meet other participants one by one with great smiles on their faces and got lovely hugs as well.

There was a satsang scheduled for the same evening. The hall was all set and Mohanji arrived. I got myself settled in the front of the group. I didn’t get a chance to meet or hug Mohanji, but His empowering words were deep as always. Our soul’s strong urge for liberation had brought us all together at the Kumbh.  Each word was entering gradually into my system. A dip was planned on the auspicious day of Vasant Panchami (arrival of spring). I felt so fortunate that I was at the holy land of the Kumbh again in the presence of our beloved Mohanji, as well as with the other powerful beings who come in disguise to bless us on the path of liberation.  These beings are beyond the recognition of human eyes and their contribution to the planet in liberating millions/trillions of souls is unmatchable.  My heart was overwhelmed with gratitude and love. Tears flooded my eyes and I felt so blessed to be present during this event…I hardly slept that night.  Thoughts of being blessed overwhelmed me.

There was one problem that bothered me a bit.  I knew my menses was going to start soon as it was also the case in January and I missed my dip.  I didn’t want it to happen again, so I prayed with all humility to make this dip possible.  The next day, I was busy with the Gurulight team with packing stuff for the participants.  Each moment was fun-filled and charged with positivity, but my body was giving me signals of the approaching menses.  Once again, I surrendered with total faith at Mohanji’s feet and my beloved divine Mother. Later in the day, I went outside the ashram to do some food seva and came back to take a nap.  The POP session and chanting in the evening was very powerful as it took me to a different space for 40 minutes.  During the energy transfer, I felt different lights in my Ajna (third eye) chakra.

Finally, the big day arrived…

I only slept for an hour in the morning and woke up early to do chants, meditation and pranaams to Lord Surya, thanking him for giving me another opportunity to witness this beautiful and holy Sangam once again.

kumbh devotees

With Kumbh T-shirts, all the M family members got ready for the dip.  Most of the members went ahead, but my sister, Preeti Gopalarathnam di (sister) and I waited to seek Mohanji’s blessings before proceeding.  Miraculously, my sister and I got to sit in Mohanji’s boat.  When we are empty inside, grace flows unconditionally.

I told Mohanji about the crow that I saw on the roof when I began my journey. With clarity and promptness, He said, “That was your father and he came to bless you.” I fell silent at that moment and felt deep gratitude for my dad for being there.  Once again, my eyes welled up and tears flowed automatically.

The whole event was coordinated and thoughtfully planned.  Madhu’s strategy to assemble all 8 boats at one place in the middle of the river and proceeding together was an amazing idea.  Managing 80 people with a small Gurulight team and volunteers is quite a demanding task, but with Mohanji’s grace and guidance all went through smoothly.

As we assembled near the Sangam (confluence of three rivers), Mohanji proceeded first to take His dips, then all the devotees followed. That moment was intense, as Mohanji prayed deeply and took flat dips in the Sangam thrice. Then the abhishekam (pouring water) happened.  Mohanji poured sacred water on each one of us thrice, in some cases more than three times. This held a deep significance and I was fully present in the moment, soaking in the divine energy. When my turn was over, I moved ahead to take dips for myself, my family, my ancestors, and gurus.

Mohanji Abhisekh

Later, we all assembled together again and made a circle with Mohanji  in the middle, and we chanted the Mohanji Gayatri with deep devotion and reverence.  With the  group chanting, the whole energy and aura felt like we were in the divine, sacred womb of the three rivers (Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati). Ah… it was a sight to behold…and to dissolve in. I felt light, happy and melted in that divine moment. It was all unfathomable and only made possible with Mohanji’s love and grace.

After the dips, we all settled into our boats. On the way back, Mohanji asked my sister Sonia, “Why are you not singing?” Upon hearing Him, she began to sing and I joined her too, but my throat choked and I could not hold my tears anymore.  They flowed in a complete state of gratitude for my beloved guru Mohanji, all other gurus and most importantly, my dad who had passed away in 2017.

The next day, I had to leave for Varanasi to catch my flight and was advised by Mamu ji to leave 6 hours early to avoid any traffic situations. Patiently, he arranged for a cab on the 10th of Feb, when there was nothing available with the agents, as everything was booked.

I changed, packed my luggage and tried to meet some of the devotees. All looked bright, fresh and joyful. Sacred Sangam Magic was visible in everyone’s eyes. I even got to spend some moments with Mohanji. Like a father, He asked, “Did you eat anything?” When I said no, He promptly gave me papaya and then He offered me some pomegranate. He was feeding me with so much love while I talked and pressed His feet. I didn’t feel like leaving at  that moment, but He said, “I know how you feel, but you go now.” I felt as if I was already home, where I had wanted to be for ages.  It was a very difficult moment and I have no words to describe the feeling except that my heart was filled with gratitude, love and complete oneness.

During the departure from the ashram, Mamu ji was there to see me off and to make sure that I caught the cab, as it was parked quite faraway. I walked and walked with my luggage up to 3kms or more.  With the Mohanji Gayatri chant running in my mind, the walk became effortless. Finally, I reached the point where the cab was parked. I boarded and felt complete silence throughout the journey, absorbing and reflecting on all the beautiful moments internally.

On the way to the airport, I wanted to have a cup of tea and thought if I get a chance – I would like to feed a dog to make this journey complete. As we stopped for chai (tea), from nowhere, a black dog arrived suddenly. I immediately got a cup of milk from the shopkeeper and fed the dog.  He came and went away immediately after having the milk. My heart was filled with immense gratitude once again for such beauty in that moment… It was all a divine play.

Deep love and gratitude to all!!

The silent protector

By Nameshri Chetty, South Africa

It has been some time since I put pen to paper, but I am ready to share some more of my journey with you. In saying that, prior to meeting Mohanji physically, I was totally unaware of my true existence, I would say that I was just living.  Now, with His teachings and seeing the example He sets, I know that I have a purpose and that’s very powerful!

So here we go from where I last left off regarding my journey with Mohanji.

Kailash 2016 was as usual epic, the grace, love and joy that is Mahadev (Lord Shiva) lingered in my every breath. As Mohanji says,

Kailash is not for the chancers as it unleashes all that is not Shiva. So be prepared for your world to be in total disarray, all that you thought was tangible becomes intangible.

My son was diagnosed with cancer in Jan 2017. My golly gosh, that was a total blow. As you know, I am a single mother of two children. So what happens now? How was I going to pull through this with all the responsibilities of being both, a mother and a father to my children?

In saying that, not for one moment did I lose my faith or calm that all will be okay. I saw how Mohanji had elevated the intensity of this karmic lesson. My son was diagnosed in the early stages; we managed to get an appointment with a top oncologist within the same week of the diagnosis, keeping in mind that it usually takes weeks to see a specialist.

On liaising with Mohanji, He assured me that all will be okay and that’s all I needed. During my son’s treatment I felt as if I was just breathing through all the responsibilities, everything happened smoothly, as Mohanji had literally and figuratively made things flow. Each day, each chemo, each doctor’s visit, I was just calm. During this time I stepped down from all my other commitments and just focused on my home as there was no support from family, friends or his father.

As a mother, having your child go through cancer is scary and even more so when you are alone. There is no one to hold your hand and assure you that it will be okay. Many would ask how I can be so calm and not crying or angry with all that was happening, but within me I knew that I had a SILENT PROTECTOR WITH ME!

lion

We had many a day of tantrums, anger, fear, sadness, self-pity and blame was thrown at me, but I remained calm. In all of this, all I saw was Mohanji’s grace giving me the strength and courage to fulfill my duties as a mother, to care for my family. My son only lost his hair after the last chemo; if he had lost his hair in between it would have been intensely hard for us as he is a young man.

In August 2017 my son was clear of cancer, Jai Mohanji!!!  Only with His grace did we pull through.

Through His teachings Mohanji has taught us about the lessons that we have to individually go through and boy, have I gone through some. They also say that as you get closer to the fire it gets hotter.

It takes immense maturity and courage to follow a living master who walks the pathless path. None of His expressions may conform to the norms of our conditioned mind. Mental frames will keep breaking. Sometimes you will feel you have fallen into a bottomless pit, totally helpless, confused and insecure. Thus the master will peel away all our mental conditioning which we have consciously or unconsciously collected over lifetimes. Those with fears and prejudices will not make it. Those who dare will come out as pure gold from the pyre of ego. When one owns this state, there is no separation.

Mere Mahadev (My Lord Shiva), I surrender graciously and humbly at your feet as you are the beginning and end of all that is and all that is not.

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 6 – “A dream that transformed me”

mohanji on spirituality

Rakshitha Ananth shares a beautiful dream experience that was a wake-up call for her, in which Mohanji reiterates the importance of sadhana on this path of liberation.  Sadhana helps increase our devotion and through that our connection to our Guru remains steadfast. Enjoy this realistic story in our series: Mohanji Satcharitha – Chapter 6.

A dream, but not a dream

by Rakshitha

Mohanji says, “if there is no transformation in life, then there is no use in meeting Masters or listening to them. Inner transformation is the key.”

However, my dream is proof that it is not just physical presence, even a message conveyed in the dream can bring in transformation.

An understanding of my background and spiritual practices is a good place to begin. I was a very inconsistent practitioner, be it Kriya, chanting or meditation. However, I do like helping people and sharing the knowledge, whenever and however possible. So I maintain some Whatsapp groups where I share Mohanji’s messages every day. I also maintain a Facebook page to post positive posts. etc. I love to listen to stories of saints, read powerful books and blogs and watch documentaries, all of which keep me inspired. They help to keep the fire burning within me.

I was initiated into Kriya on Dec 12, 2016. I felt it was like a new life given to me after the initiation. But I did not practice Kriya. In the entire 1 year and 9 months, I might have practised Kriya only around 10 times. It reached a point where I almost forgot what I was taught. I attended the Kriya Intensive program in Bangalore in October 2018 and learnt the steps all over again. However, even after all this, I was not consistent. It seemed to be a challenge to sit down and do Kriya. I was able to complete 45 days of chanting the Mohanji Gayathri and 45 days of the Power of Purity meditation; but practising Kriya….. seemed difficult and I never could reason why!

A few weeks prior to the dream I describe below, I had watched Sant Tukaram’s movie and heard a soul stirring and  fulfilling discourse on Tukaram’s life. I prayed to Mohanji to bless me also with such unshakable devotion and that HE should guide me for the same. In short, I asked HIM “How do I increase my bhakti towards You? What can I do to have increasingly greater devotion to You? “

Mohanji speaks on when inner transformation happens

On 4th November early morning around 5 am, I had a dream. In the dream, I was with Mohanji in a tent like set up. It appeared there was a satsang of some kind, with people having their snacks and taking blessings from Mohanji before returning home. After all of them left,  only Mohanji and I were in that tent. It had few white chairs and a couple of tables. Mohanji was wearing His usual jeans and an orange jacket on top and had a black laptop shoulder bag with him. He was about to leave when I started having  this conversation.

Mohanji on dream state – it is very important!

I don’t remember exactly how it began, but within few minutes we were enveloped in an intense conversation where I was trying to convince Mohanji that I was doing good things and helping people and that I wish to do more. Mohanji counters this and says,

“What is the use? I am ready to give everything of mine to you? How will I ever get  the confidence that whatever I give you, will come back to me?”

I was shaken hearing these words at which point I was crying in the dream and in real life too! He continued saying,

“All good things that you do will add up to your spiritual bank balance. No doubt. But what that spiritual bank balance can give you is – to be born in a good family, to have good friends, a stable life, to get a guru and to have a path laid in front of you. But if you do not walk the path, what is the use? Your own sadhana is the only one that will take you further from here.  Else you will come back to the same point. And you have been at this point many times now.”

At this juncture I woke up from the dream crying in real as well and realised it was a dream, but I was in shock. This message touched me deeply and I  contemplated on it for a long time. Soon enough, I understood his words with greater clarity.

Mohanji’s QandA on Let this be your spiritual practice

As I write my experience, I am glad to say that I have completed 43 days of Kriya successfully, without a break. The message in the dream was strong; it felt like a kick in the back and I needed it, in fact  it was an urgent necessity.

Mohanji on moment

Now I have the answer. Bhakti intensifies only when our sadhana intensifies. Having only devotion is like watching a movie and getting emotional. It is doing sadhana that makes you feel alive and present in devotion. With Kriya, I have now added chanting twice a day, Hanuman chalisa once a day, aartai once a day at least, reading Satcharita on Thursdays etc. I am now happy and confident about myself.

Mohanji Arati

I now understand why sadhana is very important alongside involving oneself in numerous positive activities. Positive activities are great, they raise your vibration. But sadhana makes it more meaningful.

Thank you Mohanji. I cannot thank you enough and I am sorry for trying to convince you in the dream. The all knower you are, what is there to convince you about me? I am a small piece of dust at your feet and you are as huge as this cosmos itself. Nevertheless, I had no control over what happened in the dream. But the transformation is what matters most.

At your feet always!

Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot

Swami Samarth (aka Akkalkot Swami) was a powerful Master who was based in Akkalkot in Maharashtra (a state from Western India). He was the third avatar of Lord Dattatreya, the Adi-Guru (the first Guru or founder) of our Tradition (the Datta tradition named after Lord Dattatreya).

Swami Samarth was a very powerful Master who made a truly miraculous and divine entry on planet Earth. The second avatar of Lord Dattatreya, Narasimha Saraswati, took samadhi (verb – a saint’s conscious exit from the body) in the fifteenth century. When Narasimha Saraswati decided that his time was up, he informed his disciples, sat on a boat filled with flowers and headed to the forest of Kardalivan which is near Sri Sailam, a very powerful pilgrimage centre of Lord Shiva. He told his disciples that the flowers would come back against the river’s flow signifying his cross-over to the other side. And so, it happened. The flowers came back against the flow letting his disciples know that he had merged with the Light.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Narasimha-saraswati.jpg
Narsimha Saraswati – the second avatar of Lord Dattareya

Fast forward 300 years later. A wood cutter enters Kardalivan to chop a tree. The moment the axe strikes deep into the tree, blood comes oozing out. And moments later, out comes Swami Samarth of Akkalkot, a tall saint with big ears and long hands extending beyond the knees. As the woodcutter profusely apologizes to the saint, Swami Samarth reassures him that this was meant to be the way he was to be woken up to start his mission in the world. Even though he is known mostly in Maharashtra, Swami Samarth is supposed to have travelled extensively all over India and the Himalayas as well as across the world to Tibet, Jawa, Sumatra, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan, Australia, etc. He was known by different names in different countries.

He finally came to Akkalkot and spent the last twenty-two years of his life there. His last years were spent under a banyan tree where he finally took samadhi. It is said that when he took samadhi, his soul split in two – one part merged with the banyan tree which is now worshipped as his Samadhi (noun – final resting place) and the other merged with Sai Baba. It is believed that the fame of Sai Baba grew far and wide right after the merger.  His famous words can be seen printed behind many taxies in Mumbai – “Bheevu nakkos, mi thujhya paatheeshi aahe” (Fear not. I am always behind you). Similar to what Mohanji says “I am always with you”. Different masters, same words.

Swami Samarth of Akkalkot – the third avatar of Lord Dattareya

Swami Samarth had a peculiar habit of bringing people, who had been dead for a long time, back to life to get some work done. He was once walking along the river bank. He asked a person who was coming near to him, “Why are you walking here? Go home quickly. Your child is alone at home crying. I told your father to look after the child.” The man was perplexed and couldn’t understand the Swami’s words. His father had died a long time ago. In any case, he rushed back home and was baffled to see his father attending to the baby. He couldn’t believe his eyes. His father handed over the baby, blessed him and left the house. Swami Samarth was a powerful Master who created powerful disciples like Shankar Maharaj, Gajanan Maharaj, Junglee Maharaj, etc. To this day, he is known to bless his devotees with his physical presence even though he has left the body two hundred and fifty years ago.

I had been to Akkalkot the first time on a New Year day in 2013 and it was a truly blissful experience. In November 2016, I had the privilege to visit Akkalkot again with Mohanji on our road trip to Kerala from Shirdi en route from Pune. We reached Akkalkot around afternoon and took darshan at his temple where his physical body was kept after he took samadhi. However, as mentioned earlier, the banyan tree is the place which is considered his true Samadhi. A temple was later built on this place which houses the banyan tree, the place where he took samadhi, his padukas (holy footwear) as well as temples of other deities (Ganesha, Hanumanji, Dattatreya, etc).

When we reached the temple, Mohanji was at the entrance of the temple taking off his footwear. I was just a short distance away buying flowers and offerings for the temple. I noticed Mohanji smiling at someone near the temple. This set off my warning alarms – some divine being was present possibly in a physical form in the vicinity. I immediately looked in the direction where Mohanji was looking and smiling. Around ten feet away, there was an elderly lady standing at the entrance of the temple smiling back at him. She was tall and elegantly dressed in a green sari – not the cheap or gaudy kind usually worn by the village folks. The sari was elegant but something that was probably worn in older (or I would even hazard to say ancient) times. She had a prominent nose ring and her face was wrinkled. She had a plate in her hand which had the offerings for the temple. If you have not guessed by now, this elderly lady looked just like Swami Samarth dressed like a woman.

For those not in the know, there are pictures depicting Swami Samarth as the Divine Mother to symbolize his motherly aspect. I was stumped. The interaction between Mohanji and the elderly lady from the distance was what I remember distinctly even though it lasted just a few seconds because it was amazingly subtle and elegant. The lady made only three eye movements. She first blinked both her eyes while looking at Mohanji as if acknowledging his presence – “I see you have come.” She then moved her eyes to look inside the temple and then blinked both her eyes at Mohanji again. As if to say, “It is time for me to go inside. See you later.” And then she touched the entrance steps with her hands in reverence and touched it to her forehead and proceeded to enter the temple. It happened so quickly. My mind was in suspended disbelief. I was too stunned to even realize that I should be taking photographs. As Mohanji entered the temple, I quickly closed my purchase and followed him. The elderly lady was nowhere to be seen. Wow! A physical darshan (holy sighting) of Swami Samarth welcoming Mohanji to his Samadhi!

We headed to the entrance of the parking lot where our car was parked. The parking lot was quite far away from the entrance. Hence, our driver had kept the car near the entrance to avoid Mohanji having to walk all the way to the parking lot. As Mohanji got in the car, the driver requested Mohanji that he would also like to quickly go for a temple visit. Mohanji agreed and we waited for him in the car. Mohanji told me to inform the security guard at the entrance that we had parked the car at the entrance and will remove it as soon as the driver comes back. Our car was parked in a no-parking space in front of the entrance. The right strategy would have been to remain unnoticed for as long as possible and buy time if and when the security guard notices and approaches us. Why would I go to the security guard and inform him that I am parked in the wrong place when he hasn’t noticed me yet? Hmmm. This is not making sense.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers 3.jpg

Finally, I decided to just do what Mohanji says, even if it did not make sense at that time. Because I figured he knew better and it eventually would. There was also the problem of him kicking my butt if I didn’t comply quickly. He always knows better but my mind chooses to introduce its “intelligence” where it is least wanted to ensure that my butt is kicked every single time. I got out of the car, went near the security guard and informed him of our mistake. His response was bang on the money. He blew his top and started shouting at me. “You supposedly literate folks behaving like illiterate, uncouth people creating problems for others. If some bigger car or bus wants to get in, do they fly over you? Please move the car to the parking lot immediately.” I informed him that I could not drive and our driver had gone into the temple and will be back soon. Until then, we had no option but to wait there. He got irritated, continued shouting for a while and finally walked away in exasperation.  Of course, it made perfect sense to inform the security guard, right?

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers 2.jpg

He then immediately turned back and walked up to me. I was wondering what else he had in store for me. He was more peaceful this time and told me that there was a dargah (a mosque housing the samadhi of a Muslim saint usually belonging to the Sufi sect) 15-20kms away. He told me that you people should go visit the dargah and offer your prayers there. This was odd and unexpected! I got back into the car. Mohanji asked me if everything was sorted with the security guard. I affirmed and mentioned to Mohanji that the security guard asked us to go to a dargah. Mohanji asked me if the security guard would guide us there. I was taken aback by security guard’s unexpected suggestion and, hence, didn’t even bothered asking him the exact location or the directions. So, I went back to the security guard and asked him if he would take us there. He said he would join us once our driver returned. As soon as the driver returned, the security guard also joined us in the car.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers 6

He offered his respects to Mohanji and introduced himself. He mentioned that he does the parayan (ritual reading of a scripture in a specified time) of Swami Samarth’s biography every morning and evening and only has food after he completes the reading. Today morning, he had a vision of Swami Samarth saying, “My boy is coming. Take care of him. Take him to the dargah when he comes there.” No further information was provided to him. The security guard was expecting someone to come but didn’t know who it was. That is why we were parked in the wrong place blocking the road because his job was to remove such vehicles. The security guard knew that someone would come and he was actually waiting. But he still did not recognize.  Hence, I was sent by Mohanji to “inform” him. After scolding me, he came to the realization that the Swami Samarth’s “boy” was the passenger in our car – Mohanji – and he immediately returned to pass on the message. So, yes. It did make sense to inform the security guard.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers to banyan tree.jpg

As we drove to the dargah, the security guard started giving us more details about the dargah and its origins. Swami Samarth used to send his followers to the dargah for fulfilment of their wishes. His story started with a fakir (Muslim mendicant) walking alongside a village path begging for alms. He came across a Brahmin’s (priestly class) house and stopped there seeking alms. The lady of the house invited him inside. She was poor and did not have much to offer but gave him whatever best she could. The fakir was pleased with her devotion and selfless nature and blessed her saying, “I am very pleased with your service. Ask for whatever you want. I will give you twice of what you ask for and take back one half of it.” The lady said she did not care for material comforts. However, she had a desire to bear a child. The fakir said that, as per my diktat, I will give you two children and, after their birth, you have to return one to me.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers to padukas 2.jpg

The lady agreed to the fakir’s condition. In due time, the fakir’s blessings worked and she bore twins. One child was dark and the other one was fair. In keeping with her promise, the lady had to return one child to the fakir. She preferred to keep the fair child and return the dark one. When she took the dark child to the fakir, he informed her that it was the fair child that belonged to him and asked her to get the fair child to the dargah. When she returned home, to her utter dismay and surprise, the fair child was dead. She immediately came to the fakir and informed him of the child’s demise. The fakir told her to bring the body of the dead child, leave it near the tombs in the dargah and return back home. She complied. The fakir sprinkled water on the boy who grew from a newborn to a teenager. The young lad walked to the tombsand merged with it. It was a miraculous story though I failed to understand the significance of the story.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers to padukas 3.jpg

After a short drive, we reached the dargah. At the entrance, there was a section to the left which had a prominent tomb and some smaller tombs. The periphery of the main tomb had 4 iron brackets at the corners with threads tied all around the brackets. There were small sets of red bangles hanging from the threads everywhere. The dargah was to the right with an unpaved road leading to it that was wedged in between this tomb section and the dargah. The security guard asked us to first offer our prayers at the tomb at the entrance. He mentioned that the tomb belonged to a woman who was completely devoted to the fakir. The fakir was also very pleased with her service. One day she asked three boons from the fakir. The first was that people should consider her like his sister. The second was that people who come to the dargah should first visit her and offer their prayers at her tomb before they go to him. The third was that anyone who was desirous of a spouse should be granted their wish if they prayed at her tomb. The fakir granted all three boons.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers to padukas 5.jpg

The first boon was the reason her tomb was at the entrance. The second boon was the reason we came to pray there first. The third boon was the reason red bangles were tied on the threads circling the tomb. For anyone desiring a spouse, the person had to untie one set of red bangles from the thread and take it with them. Until they find the spouse, they were then supposed to circle lighted incense sticks around the bangles and pray to them on every full moon. Once the person gets married, the couple needs to come back to the temple and tie a fresh set of red bangles to the tomb as a symbol of fulfilment of their wish. Looking at the umpteen number of red bangles tied at the tomb, it looked like the “get-a-spouse” scheme was doing exceptionally well.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers to padukas.jpg

We walked around the unpaved road towards the entrance of the dargah. There were a set of steps leading to a raised concrete platform on which the dargah was situated. The dargah was freshly whitewashed and had the usual white and green shades of a typical mosque. We walked across the open space on the concrete platform leading to the entrance. As we entered the dargah, we were led to a wider room that led into the sanctum sanctorum which housed the tomb. The priest was nowhere to be seen. The security guard went outside and came back along with him. He asked the priest to offer prayers on Mohanji’s behalf. When the priest asked for more money, he told the priest clearly that what was paid was enough. He told us not to pay the priest too much since he thought the priest was getting greedy.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji offering prayers.jpg

Mohanji sat down near the tomb and spent some silent moments in the sanctum sanctorum. The security guard took us around the other parts of the complex and explained various details about each area. He then took us to a covered section that had a big black stone receptacle shaped like a small boat. It was about 3-4 feet long, a couple of feet wide and a couple of feet deep. The thickness was probably almost a foot. As mentioned earlier, Swami Samarth sent people to the dargah to get their wishes fulfilled and the security guard told us that this was the place where the prayers were granted. He shared the story of a Muslim royal who believed in Swami Samarth and was sent here to fulfil his desire for an heir. One made the prayer request by touching the stone receptacle. On fulfilment, one had to come back and fill up the receptacle full of ladoos (a ball shaped Indian sweetmeat) in expression of gratitude. Mohanji and the group offered our requests to the wish fulfilling stone receptacle.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji visits banyan tree.jpg

Finally, after spending some more time at the dargah, we returned back to banyan tree Samadhi temple at Akkalkot. It was past noon so it was time for lunch. Mohanji requested the security guard to join us for lunch. He politely declined. He said he has food only after the ritual reading of the book which he does at sunrise and sunset. Mohanji asked me to give him some money. Unfortunately, this was the time when the Indian central bank had implemented demonetization – cancelling all existing high value currency notes and reissuing new currency bills. ATMs were dry and money was scarce. There were long serpentine queues in front of the ATMs and daily withdrawal limits had been imposed. I told Mohanji that I would need to withdraw money to pay him and also for our lunch. The security guard guided me to the nearest ATM which already had a long line of brothers waiting in the hot sun for the moolah.

It took me a long time to get the money. While waiting, my mind started expressing its usual uncalled-for “intelligence”. I am usually skeptical when approached by people in religious places. Almost all of them are hankering after money. I was convinced that this person was also one of those “agents” who offer their services with the basic motive of fleecing people for money. I had a counterfeit fifty rupee note in my possession that was possibly palmd off to me by a sly street vendor. I thought that it would be a fitting payment for him to match his fake countenance. It is interesting how the mind loves to fall back into its patterns of perception from the past ignoring the experiences or inputs received in the present. This person came along with us leaving his assigned duties. He not only took us there but also showed us around and facilitated our entire trip there. Even though we offered lunch, he politely declined and did not even ask for any money for services rendered. The suggestion to give him money came from Mohanji who believes in energy transfer to ensure karmic closures – to respectfully offer him money for his time and effort to ensure that there were no karmic bondages. Yet, in spite of evidence to the contrary, my mind had already labeled him a charlatan.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Temples.jpg

When I came back to the car, I couldn’t locate him anymore. Mohanji asked me to look around at the parking spot and other places. But he was nowhere to be seen. In a way, my mind was happy that I didn’t have to pay a person who it thought didn’t deserve it. We had lunch and, as planned earlier, left for Pandharpur – a very powerful temple of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi in Maharashtra. We stayed at Pandharpur for a day and had a lovely darshan there. We headed from there to Pune. Around noon, we suddenly found ourselves in a place that looked very familiar. Familiar because we were in the same square in Akkalkot where we had left the security guard. Pune is in the northwest direction from Pandharpur. Somehow, our driver ended up driving 120+km in exactly the opposite South East direction without him or us getting any wiser. I looked at the driver with a “Are you kidding me?” expression. The driver said that he drove promptly in the right direction as advised by Google and as suggested by the locals but was equally bewildered how he landed back in Akkalkot. He had no clue how driving in one direction could land him in the opposite direction. I, of course, had a clue. Mohanji had unfinished business and wasn’t leaving until it was done.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Temples 2.jpg

Mohanji looked around and looking mildly surprised said, “Oh! How did we reach Akkalkkot again?” Yeah, right? Like we don’t know who got us to return. He then said, “Why don’t you look for the security guard? We couldn’t pay him yesterday. I don’t like to keep anything pending. So, it is good we are back. Let us finish it off.” I couldn’t find the security guard at the parking lot. After looking around, I finally managed to locate him. He was happy to know that we had come back. He came with me to offer his respects to Mohanji. Since it was again lunchtime, Mohanji requested him to join us for lunch. He politely declined again reiterating his sadhana of eating only after the ritual reading. Mohanji offered him money. He suggested that it was not necessary. Mohanji insisted and requested the security guard to accept it to which he agreed. He told us that there was a place serving good sattvic (pure) food. He personally got in the car to direct us there and spoke to the owner to serve Mohanji well. He then requested to take Mohanji’s leave as he had to get back to work.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - Mohanji with security guard.jpg
The security guard we met at Akkalkot

After a sumptuous lunch, Mohanji suggested that we go to the office to buy books in English. We went to the office and spent some time perusing the books and music CDs. We bought the English translation of Swami Samarth’s biography and some Marathi books of Swami Samarth, Shankar Maharaj, etc. After some time, Mohanji decided that it was time to leave. On the way out, I noticed a lone newspaper clipping pinned to center of the wall of the office. Normally, I am not the curious types. My apathic bent becomes even more pronounced when my stomach is full (which is most of the time as Mohanji will vouch for). I am blissfully secure in my ignorance of the world around me which explains the name, Abodhananda, given by Mohanji to me in jest. It means being blissful in one’s own unconsciousness – in reference to my absent-minded nature.

However, something compelled me to read that newspaper clipping. It was in Marathi. It was the commemoration written about the person who headed the trust that handled the banyan tree Samadhi temple complex. He had passed away eight months back in March the same year. He had given 24 years of service to the trust and worked tirelessly to help the pilgrims in every way and make their stay comfortable and memorable. I wasn’t sure if I was seeing things but the photograph of the person in the clipping was very similar to the security guard. The similarity was unmistakable. When I pointed this out to Mohanji, he said that the person did look similar to the security guard and casually mentioned that Swami Samarth had a habit of bringing people back from the dead and making them do certain things. And saying thus, he headed off to the car. This reminds me of my trip with Mohanji to Swami Poornananda’s ashram where Mohanji similarly insisted on buying books in English – a pretext for conveying a divine experience to one of Swami Poornananda’s devotees.

Mohanji Chronicles - Back from the dead – A tryst with Swami Samarth of Akkalkot - the news paper clipping.jpg
The newspaper clipping with the commemoration

Facts stranger than fiction. It really makes one wonder the nature of reality as we understand it. I take the liberty to copy a paragraph from my previous blog, Miraculous days with Mohanji – Part IV, which sums up my state of disbelief when faced with these experiences.

In retrospect, it makes me wonder. I came in from a tangible world where people, places, objects and situations where what they seemed to be. The scriptures say it is all a grand illusion but it made complete sense to me. They say it is false but it looked “real” to me. Now with Mohanji, I am suddenly introduced to a world where everything is suspect. Nothing is what it seems to be. I was lamenting to a close follower of Mohanji that my world has suddenly gone topsy turvy after being with Mohanji – from the “real” to the “surreal”. 🙂There is a saying in Marathi, “Dista tasa nasta ithech jag fasta” (Everything is not what it seems, hence the world gets fooled). Trees, animals, humans – you are never sure who is lurking in front of you. It is unsettling to say the least. When you look at something, you wonder – is there a holy personage hiding in the form in front of you? Sai Baba wanted his followers to see Him in all beings. With a few episodes like this happening to me, I have suddenly started to venture down that path if not out of understanding then at least out of curiosity. 🙂

What a trip! It started with a darshan of Swami Samarth in his physical body welcoming Mohanji to Akkalkot and ended with a hair (and “dead”) raising experience. That was probably the reason the security guard politely refused food, money or support because he had no need for it. His life was dedicated for selfless service to Swami Samarth and the pilgrims that came to Akkalkot. And he was brought back to do it one more time.

My humble prostrations to Swami Samarth from Akkalkot and to my benevolent Master, Mohanji, for the blissful divine experiences there.

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 6 – “He listens, even in His absence”

Mohanji on Shivrathri

A believer who chooses to be anonymous has this heart-warming story to narrate of Mohanji’s presence without presence. Mohanji has always been with her during her trying times and continues to hold her hand through her journey fulfilling her wishes. This is the fifth story of our series on Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 6.

Please enjoy reading other beautiful experiences too from Chapter 6.

He listens, even in His absence

By a believer

I was new to the whole world of spiritualism, the meaning of Guru-Shishya (Master-Disciple) in terms of spirituality and the role of a Guru in one’s life. Above all, I was new to the phenomenon called Mohanji!  Mohanji came into my life first through His eye-card, given to me by a friend who I now consider as my guide and philosopher.

This friend has seen me rising from the ditch, and how Mohanji has come to the rescue every time I rose and fell. I would hold Him high whenever I was out of the ditch, but would start doubting Him again, each time I fell back into it. My friend would request Mohanji to help me out and He would say,

“Ask her to intensify her sadhana.”

Usually, people pray to God the most in their dire times and here I was, somebody who could not connect to any God in my dire times! The only prayer I would send up was – “Make me alright for the sake of my family, they need me.”

In spite of my doubting mind, Mohanji still continued to work on me, while I was oblivious to it. I recall the various tools that He sent my way through my friend: global chanting of His name, Mai-Tri Healing, chanting of the Mohanji Gayatri mantra, Shiva Kavacham, Mahamrityunjaya japa etc. I take this opportunity to recall a very recent event that gave me so much reassurance of the statement which Mohanji often tells His followers –

“I am there with you always.”

It had been a long time since I met Mohanji and received Shaktipat from Him. I was yearning to receive it once more, though I had not shared this thought aloud with anyone. It so happened that my friend invited all Mohanji followers in the city for a 360 degrees meditation. This was by far the most focused, blissful meditation I had ever done. I travelled beneath the Earth, all the way up to the galaxy, and back to the real world where I was sitting. During meditations, I usually cry or I am not focused, but this time, I was in bliss. The universe seemed to be expanding and my body with it. During the meditation session, my friend touched the top of my head for Mohanji Energy Transfer. Something changed inside me. The best way that I can describe it is by comparing it to what ‘Drainex’ would do to a clogged pipe. (Drainex is an Indian brand of chemical used to clear clogged pipes.) I could feel the energy enter my system, resulting in a bubbling outpouring of tears and breathless sobs. Slowly I could feel the pressure of the hand increasing on my head and to me, it felt like a male hand, just as in my first Shaktipat from Mohanji. The ‘Drainex’ did its job and my system was cleared: I returned to my state of bliss till the end of the session.

shaktipat

Though I was told that what I received was Mohanji Energy Transfer (MET) and not Shaktipat (which only Mohanji can give), it felt just like the latter. I believe He had heard my unspoken yearning and fulfilled my desire of receiving Shaktipat from Him.

There is one more aspect to my story. Mohanji had decided to not respond to anyone on Messenger (the online App). I was initially disappointed about His inaccessibility. Gradually I realized that when I had the opportunity to talk to Him, in person or online, I would ask Him questions which now seem so foolish and irrelevant. I was too new and naive at the same time. I was judgmental about His genuineness and would constantly analyze the trust that I was slowly developing in Him. Now I have no access to Him in His physical form or online, but He answers me in His subtle form through various means. This is absolutely reassuring to me, as there remains no doubt of being swayed by a physical persona. His physical absence has given me the opportunity to understand Him and His teachings better.

That He listens to you even without the physical presence is a proof of His omnipresence. Now, I don’t feel His absence, nor do I have questions!

mohanji presence

Lessons learnt from my Gurudev, Shri Brahmarishi Mohanji

By Neelu (Mohana Bhakti Priya)

Lessons Learnt Neelu

My Gurudev, koti koti pranaam at Your lotus feet!

It takes  immense penance of many lifetimes to get the grace of a Sathguru like Mohanji. I am one of the most fortunate souls who have had this grace, in this lifetime (I hope the last one!) I have been experiencing unfathomable love and compassion from Him, right from the first moment I came to know about Him. Since then, He has made me learn so many important lessons in  life, which have transformed and chiseled me. He always lets you be yourself and also transforms you to be a better person. The lessons which I learnt from Him and could adapt in my life are as follows:

Time is precious

Having started work for the Mohanji Foundation as a FB page editor and making His devotional videos, I know exactly how valuable time is and how we can spend our spare time in useful and selfless activities.

He made me learn to work even while handling my kids. Most of my devotional videos were made while putting my younger son to sleep: with one hand I would pat him to sleep and with the other free hand, I would make devotional videos for Him on my mobile and also on my laptop. This  continues to the present time when I am making the ‘daily quote’ posters. Thus, He made me learn how to use my limited free time wisely with the available resources. He has transformed me so much that, I now never waste my time, not even for a few minutes. There is always some work to do, either for my family, or for the Mohanji Foundation.

If the Will is present, He paves the way for you…

Mohanji made me learn what actually will power is, and how God or Guru makes the job smooth, if you have the will to carry out the activities. When I volunteered for the Mohanji Foundation, I did not know how I could do it. I was a housewife and a full time mother. My only hobby thus far had been clicking pictures of my kids and a small stint at writing poetry. Mohanji made use of these not-so-perfect interests of mine and put them to full use in my volunteering. I started to write small poems about Him when I was overwhelmed with devotion for Him, and they transformed into devotional videos in just six months’ time!

All these were done just because of Him. Only the will was mine. He showed me how to utilize time, made me learn the required skills and even guided me to the required tools necessary  for these jobs.

Compassion is the highest quality

Mohanji made it clear to me through numerous experiences, that love and compassion are the highest qualities in any human being. I was always a soft-hearted person from the beginning, but He made me more compassionate and also introduced me to the concept of unconditional love. Now, I always think of how to be helpful and compassionate to other beings (as per my capacity), be it humans, animals or birds.

Guru is all Gods. Guru is the closest!

It’s my good fortune that since childhood, I have been connected to God and the Guru Tattva through many Masters like Shirdi Sai Baba, Sripada Srivallabha etc. Before Mohanji happened in my life, I knew a Guru was no less than God and is the closest to our hearts. But after Mohanji came into my life, I am actually experiencing it in every moment of my waking, dream and sleep states. All other relationships seem so temporary, even the closest ones! Now, He is my mother, my father, my child, my friend, my God and my Guru, all rolled into one. My whole being craves  to be in His consciousness every moment.

Patience

Mohanji made me learn about patience by handling me with utmost care and affection every time I fell. He lets me make mistakes, waits patiently so that I can rise again (though in actual fact it is He who lifts me up) and also makes me learn what to do and how to do. And also, through various instances He made me understand that everything comes at its own sweet time. We just have to practice patience.

Gratitude

I truly understood the term gratitude only after witnessing Mohanji’s love for me. Every moment I feel gratitude towards Him as He is the life force for me. I owe my every breath and every moment of my life to Him. In short I can say He is keeping me alive.  I have also learnt to be grateful  for all the simple yet important things in my life, which we usually take for granted.

Connection to His Consciousness is everything

I connected to Mohanji very deeply from the time I learnt about Him, even though I hadn’t met Him personally. It took me a year and half to have His physical darshan (beholding and being seen by a revered person or a deity). I have not attended any retreats or any pilgrimages with Him. I have met Him only  a few times in these three years and that too for a very short time. In spite of this, connecting to His Consciousness gave me everything; His overflowing love, protection for me and my family members, His guidance, His blessings. The list is too long to state… He even talks to me and also scolds me in a language which only the two of us can understand! He is with me always. Wherever I go, He comes with me. He enjoys movies, music and food with me. He reassures me that He is always with me.  So in short, connecting to His Consciousness or remembering Him always, brings Him to you. He comes to you, if you are unable to go to Him physically. The only thing needed is 100% connection.

Surrender

Sri Sai Satcharita is the book that made me aware of who a Sathguru really is. Even though I read about surrender there, I understood it completely only after Mohanji came into my life. Till then, I understood the concept of surrender as that of a slave. But there was more to it, which Mohanji made me understand and experience.

Now I understand surrender as leading my life according to His Will; accepting everything as it comes, as His prasad (devotional offering) and not using my mind to judge whether it is good or bad. But I am still to surrender completely. I am just going through various stages of surrender.

Mohanji always tries to teach me lessons required to lead a happy life every moment of every day. It will still take time to keep my mind and ego at bay and listen to Him fully. I hope and wish that by His Grace, I will learn the remaining lessons soon, which I know are plenty in number.

Jai Mohanji!

At Your lotus feet always!

Mohanji on being original

The testimonials team is happy to share our third story in our series on Mohanji Satcharita  – Chapter 6 in Mina Obradovic’s words on her powerful transformation. For many of us, the moment we met Mohanji was a turning point in our lives. From that moment, many changes start to happen within, positive changes which elevate us in awareness and consciousness. As we connect to Him more and more, negative qualities drop off and we become truly human, serving the world to the best of our abilities and making it a better place for all beings. Mina shares with us beautifully, the transformation which has changed her in many ways, since meeting Mohanji.

Please feel free to read more such transformation stories

Just be. Just be natural. Just be kind. Just be real all the time. There is nothing to prove in this world. If you want to prove something at all, prove that you are truly a human being, by being kind, considerate, compassionate and genuinely good at heart. Be a human being by making the world a better place.” –  Mohanji

True Transformation

By Mina Obradovic

Lesson learnt Mina

I met Mohanji in 2017, at a time when I was struggling with myself the most. I had fears, anxieties, insecurities, anger and jealousy. I was judging myself at every step I used to take and I was judging the outer world as well. My happiness was in the past and future. I never used to live for the now. I couldn’t face myself and I couldn’t face the world. After meeting Mohanji, I came to know about true acceptance. He accepted me the way I am, He never judged me, never asked me to change nor ever asked anything from me. He never called me to come, nor did He ask me to leave. I decided that I will never leave His hand in this life and that I will wholeheartedly follow His teachings until I am no more.

From day one, Mohanji only kept giving. This is where I discovered the true Master in the body of a human. From the day when I connected to Mohanji, I have been experiencing all the above mentioned emotions disappearing from my system. One by one, they kept falling off. I was becoming lighter and lighter. I started gaining back my confidence. Faith in myself and God has increased, which led me to the removal many blockages from my system. My insecurities vanished. Fears reduced 95%. I was ready to live again.

Mohanji on faith

I discovered that my path in this life is selfless service to all beings of this world. Something within me opened up when all the animals of this world took a priority place in my heart and I decided to fight for their freedom from meat, egg, dairy, fashion industries and others who exploit them daily. I became vegetarian in January 2016 after which I became vegan in March 2016. By wanting to serve my guru Mohanji, I started serving these helpless animals whom I consider Mohanji in other forms, as we all are soul-wise ONE.

Mohanji on love

In regards to my selfless service towards humans, I was initiated in Mai-Tri Healing and a whole different journey has taken place in my life.

Mohanji said, “Do not worry. You make yourself available and the Masters will send people to you for healing. Those who are meant to come will come.”

With healing, I came to know about a whole new dimension of my inner being. With every healing I was getting healed as well. Being Mohanji’s instrument of healing clarified my purpose in this life. I can’t even express in words how much my life has changed positively.

Mohanji speaks about – the purpose of life

Days, months and years passed by and I was still not judged by Mohanji – not even for a second. My mood swings kept changing, my mind kept changing, but He always remained the same. He was always loving and accepting of all His sincere followers. All who are with Him, including me, started believing in themselves again, they started shining with selflessness and purposefulness. Every single one of Mohanji’s sincere followers was taken care of by Him. Seeing hundreds of lives across the globe benefiting from one “human” made me realize that this is not an ordinary human.

With Mohanji, I learnt how to live for the world.

With Mohanji, I learnt to love and share without expectations.

With Mohanji, I came to know about love without judgements.

With Mohanji, I learnt to consider myself equal to everybody else.

With Mohanji, I accepted myself, I believe in myself and I am ready to face life as it comes, without complaints.

With Mohanji, I don’t fear anymore.

With Mohanji, I put others’ happiness above mine.

With Mohanji, I can call myself ALIVE. Before meeting Him I was not living, instead, I was surviving. Now, I actually live.

With Mohanji, I am myself again; I can express my true nature. He led me towards my heart and today I am doing what I always wanted to do.

With Mohanji, I am ALIVE.

Truth – From darkness to light with Mohanji

Truth of Darkness to Light With Mohanji _Mohanji Quote

By Lisa Q, UK

“Happenings happen through time and space

Everything is happening through you.

We all happened.

This moment in time is happening.

There is a lot of happenings happening.

This is how the whole play works in the Universe.

We feel we are making decisions but what decisions can we make?

Because choices are very limited between Yes or No.” Mohanji

This is our beloved Gurudev Mohanji’s teaching and this is exactly what happened on the 23rd of February 2019 on His birthday. I surrender my every word on what happened on His holy birthday at my Gurudev’s feet. With this intense experience, everything changed inside and a new beginning happened. Using ‘I’ or ‘my’ is just to explain all these details, but in reality there is no ‘I’ left anymore.

Truth of Darkness to Light With Mohanji _Lisa
In Your light Mohanji, there is no more existence of “I”

Since Mohanji happened to me, almost every single moment, every single day is a miracle. A lot of shifting happened, severe blockages were removed through healing, unconditional love happened, acceptance happened, realisations happened, but also negativity happened, which I constantly kept ignoring within me. A huge amount of ego happened inside me with lots of expectations, but finally Mohanji’s unconditional love and light showed me the way so smoothly and gave me lessons from within. There is nothing higher than unconditional love and nobody could be more important than the Guru, because Guru is Parabrahma.

Supreme Consciousness is truth and purity.  The more we are able to surrender completely to that Consciousness, the more we will be free from all darkness. And indeed without Guru, we will not be able to cross this huge ocean of life. With Guru’s blessings everything is possible, it doesn’t matter how impossible it may seem. Without His blessings nothing is possible, it doesn’t matter how small we think something is, at least, not for me. I bow down at your lotus feet Gurudev Mohanji, because without your support and unconditional acceptance, I would not have been able to realize that how many things may look very simple, but in reality they could be a huge trap of the mind.

Truth of Darkness to Light With Mohanji _ALtar

 So, let’s start-up,

On Mohanji’s birthday I had planned to go to Subha didi’s place to join the UK team to celebrate His birthday. I had even planned which dress I was going to wear and which song I would be singing. But again, which decisions can we make? Divine plan was different for me and I was totally unaware what was going to happen, my inner transformation through the following experiences.

A few days before the birthday, when one of my friends asked me to go to Skanda Vale with her, I happily agreed because Skanda Vale is always very special for me. We wanted to go on the 16th of February, but there was no accommodation available, so she booked us for the 23rd of February. When she called me about the change of dates, without a second thought, I said yes. Later on I realized that it was Mohanji’s birthday on that date and I had completely forgotten. It was too late to say no as the as the accommodation was booked. I was sad but I surrendered and said to Mohanji that may be this was predestined, but it’s ok. It was beyond my imagination that what kind of intense experience I will face within the next few hours.

I need to mention here that I had been fighting with my inner darkness and felt completely helpless with that energy for a couple of weeks. I mentioned this to Mohanji and He said,

“Everything will be fine. Do not worry and I am with you.”

But when we are drowning in the dark energy field, most of the time mind/ego becomes so big that we cannot even recognise that. That is exactly what happened with me. I was restless but kept asking for help and stayed connected to Mohanji, as I knew when He said everything will be fine, it will be. Each word from Mohanji is so powerful and I had complete faith that it doesn’t matter how much darkness I feel inside me at this moment, my Gurudev will never fail me.

 On the 23rd of February,

We went to Skanda Vale, though I was very confused with many of fears and anxieties. What will happen if an accident occurs along the long drive, would it be very cold there, we have a small baby to carry with us (only 4 months), would this trip be successful etc. As these kinds of thoughts came across my mind, I wanted to call my friend to cancel the trip, but I surrendered my fears to Mohanji and prayed, waiting for His guidance. On the 22nd, I got confirmation telepathically that I should go ahead with the trip and it was a big relief for me. I asked my friend if we should buy a cake for Mohanji’s birthday so that we could offer it at the temple, but she said she will bake a blueberry cake and I agreed.

We reached Skanda Vale so smoothly and safely, without a single hassle. When we reached there, first I said, “Thank you Mohanji for making this journey so smooth, but now we want to offer your birthday cake to Maha Shakti and Lord Dattatreya. Please help us.” We went to the Shakti temple for the evening puja and I mentioned to one of the monks there, “Today is Mohanji’s birthday, we have brought some cake and would like to offer it to Maha Shakti and Lord Dattatreya.” He was very happy and agreed to do so. It was fully packed with so many people that evening and when the Maha Abhishekam started, there was bhajans as usual. While singing, they took some cake and mixed with the other prasad and distributed to everyone. I felt so very happy and gave thanks to Mohanji and Maha Shakti for fulfilling my wish. Then a monk came to me and asked if I could cut the cake and give a big piece so that they could offer it to Lord Dattatreya. I felt so shy and requested him to cut the cake, but he insisted that I should. So I did and even blew out a birthday candle as if it was my birthday cake. I gave him a big piece of cake and it was offered to Lord Dattatreya.

Offering Birthday cake for Mohanji

My wishes were fulfilled and I was very excited about it, but somewhere inside my mind I was not completely happy. Afterwards, we returned back to our cottage and slept.

 On the 24th of February,

I had no plans for the day after Mohanji’s birthday, but I was not happy inside. We couldn’t attend the Shakti puja in the early morning, but went for the Ranganatha temple puja later on. I sat in front of Lord Vishnu and as the puja started, closed my eyes. Inside my heart, I was screaming with so many questions…. Why is my Gurudev physically away from me, why do I not have the qualities to stay with Him physically, why am I so helpless….. There were lots of “Why,” and I cried a lot. Then we went to the Dattatreya temple and I felt Mohanji‘s physical presence there. Suddenly I was happy and shared with my friend that this was the place we were together with Mohanji when He did Lord Dattatreya’s Pranaprathishta and how magical that day was. It seemed impossible for me to join that auspicious day with Mohanji, but He made the impossible possible in an amazing way.

After the Ranganatha puja we came back and waited for the Muruga puja to start. My head felt very heavy, as if I was drunk. At 1.30pm, the Muruga puja started and as we started chanting mantras, I started to feel very hot despite the cold weather. When the congregation started singing, I started singing very loudly and dancing. I started shaking, there was a burning sensation in my spine and I started sweating. Suddenly, as I looked at Muruga, I felt as if I was not there in my body, and felt Mahavatar Babaji’s presence. Although I didn’t see anything specific, I just felt his presence. Then I heard the voice of Guru Subramaniam saying, “Come to me and sit in front of me. Play Kaali Kavacham and Shiva Kavacham and meditate.” As I came back to my body, I felt disorientated and didn’t recognise where I was for a few moments. All of a sudden I felt something leave me and I felt very energetic, even my friend noticed and said that I looked full of energy. I asked her to come with me after lunch so that we could go to Guru Subramaniam’s Samadhi, as this was the first time he had called me.

We had our lunch and I rushed to go to the Samadhi. We went there and I bowed down, offering my love and respect to him. Then I played the Kaali Kavacham and Shiva Kavacham and meditated.

Truth of Darkness to Light With Mohanji _Meditation at Guru Samadhi
Meditating at Guru Samadhi

After a few moments I realised that again I was outside of my body. As I opened my eyes, I saw that I was inside Guru Subramaniam’s Samadhi! I quickly touched my forehead on his feet and saw a bright light in the middle of his heart. I wasn’t sure what to do next, but gradually settled down and said, “Guru, you know everything about me and how powerless I am. I cannot stay with my Gurudev Mohanji nor am I able to serve Him properly. Why am I so powerless?” He started to speak very sternly, but with pure love and said, “You are not powerless, you have the highest power inside you.” I was so amazed to hear this. Then he said, “Why do you think I called you here? I only called you here because of that power which is burning inside your heart and that power is your LOVE for God and your PASSION for God. From now on never say again that you are powerless. With that power you can shake anything, even God too.” He blessed me and said, “Light a lamp on the top of my Samadhi,” and at that moment I returned back to my body. I lit two candles as instructed, chanted the Mohanji Gayatri mantra and made 9 circumambulations around Guru’s Samadhi. I sprinkled my hands, face, hair, chest and navel with the water from Guru’s Samadhi and drank some water from the Shivalingam there.

By this time it was almost 6pm, so we went to the Shakti temple for the evening puja straight from there. I sat down in the temple and started chanting the Kaali mantra. When I closed my eyes it was as if there was nothing left in this world. The puja started, we did chanting and singing. I was looking at Ma and kept calling her within me, “Ma… Ma… Ma.” After a few moments, an amazing vision formed in front of me. It was really strange, and I have never had this kind of experience ever before. I saw my body slowly starting to expand; it became so very big that when I looked down I saw all the monks and other people looking like little puppets. It felt strange to observe them, as if it was a puppet show and I was watching the small puppets performing a holy play. Then I saw another vision, they were offering me a crown, lots of gold and new clothes. Very beautifully, they were decorating me as a new bride. Then all of a sudden, I was in my body again and when I looked at Ma, she asked me, “Where is the separation?” I said, “Ma, there is no separation between you and me. You are inside my heart and I am inside you. No separation at all Ma.” I felt so joyful and after the puja finished, we came back to our accommodation.

That same night, Mohanji came in my dream. Actually, this was not a dream; it was another dimension of life. Initially I saw a small monster which slowly became bigger and bigger and finally so huge and it was trying to capture me, but certain divine forces came and destroyed it. After it was killed, I took a shower. After a few moments, I suddenly saw Mohanji sitting at a very special place and asking someone, “Where is Lisa?” I was nearly there and said, “Gurudev, I am here.” He looked at me and smiled. Then I went near and sat down beside Him and Mohanji said, “Tell me, what do you want from me?” I touched His feet and said nothing, and we sat there together for a little while. When I woke up, that feeling was still within me. It was more real than His physical presence. And I felt that everything had changed within me. A huge shift had happened to me with all these confirmations that there is no separation. We are all One Consciousness and that is the TRUTH. Until now, this truth was a theory to me but now I am able to realise what actually Mohanji says about Alignment. All these experiences were so intense and real that nothing can shake my trust in Mohanji anymore.

The next day was the last day at Skanda Vale and Ma said, “Before you leave, come to me.”  We went and on the way to the Shakti temple, when we were standing in front of Guru’s Samadhi, the candle I had lit was still burning and my happiness had no limits. The burning candle was a symbol of my love for my Gurudev Mohanji!

We returned to London with the bliss of silence and only I knew how big this experience was for my small logical mind. This whole experience was beyond any imagination, without any expectations and when I shared all this with Gurudev Mohanji, He told me that all these experiences were TRUE and that I must write them down in detail and chew it at leisure as a cow does and digest it with time.

Some experiences should be digested with time.

And I think I will need a long time to digest these huge amount of experiences.

I bow down at your lotus feet Gurudev Mohanji and the entire Guru Mandala for bringing me from Darkness to Light and giving me the realisation about ONENESS.

Mohanji Satcharita – Chapter 6 – “He who knows His children’s needs”

Mohanji Bracelet

In our series of Mohanji Satcharita Chapter 6, we bring to you another beautiful experience of divine protection, shared by Sonia Mayur from Muscat. When we surrender to a Master, He keeps us safe under His protective umbrella! We need to be aware of this every moment and understand that no event occurs by chance, but it is all His leela, through which He delivers what is in our best interest! This experience by Sonia Mayur shared below, highlights this beautiful protection woven around us!

(Please feel free to read the earlier story of MS – chapter 6, here.)

He who knows His children’s needs

By Sonia Mayur – Muscat, Oman

When He says, “I am there! Main hoon naa”…. Undoubtedly, He is with us.  In such a situation; time, place and His physical state becomes insignificant.

Recently, Mohanji added me to the “Mohanji Global Family” group on WhatsApp. I felt truly blessed and overwhelmed to be a part of His global family.  It is such a blissful state to see how He is touching so many lives around the world.

I am soon to become a mom, so like other moms, I always wondered what would be a perfect gift for my baby, when she opens her eyes in this beautiful world. It was also to show my gratitude to her for choosing me to be her mother, a gift that is beyond value and words.  It was August 18th 2018 when I received an answer with His grace, on Mohanji Global Family group.  There was a message from Manu who is part of the USA team, Divine M Heritage, which introduces Mohanji Protection Bracelet, Mohanji Protection Pendant and Mohanji Vibhuti box to all.

And here you go!! I had my question replied to in the subtlest manner by Mohanji …. without wasting even a minute. I emailed Manu that I would like to order all three products. The email bounced back and I immediately messaged Manu on the group giving him the correct information. He contacted me separately to further assist with the shipping details.

My parents were in USA at that time, so I preferred all the products to be shipped directly to them. My mom planned on joining me in November for my delivery, so this way I would have the products well in time before my little angel arrived.

My parents received the products on time, and they flew back to India in late September.  The protection from the products was with them all through their journey and it was made possible with the blessings of Mohanji and sincere efforts from Manu.

On October 8th, just few weeks after my parents arrived back home, I received a message from my mom, “Teerath got arrested for false signature.” Just to give a background to this statement, my parents were fighting a court case against both our tenants (who rent 1st and 2nd floors) to vacate the house. They not only weren’t vacating but were harassing my parents all these years. The court case has been going on for almost 10 years now. Teerath who lives with his family on our 1st floor, produced some forged signature stating that he had purchased it from my dad a few years back. Since then my dad has been battling in court to prove his innocence and has been trying to get the property out of these people’s hands.

Within 2 weeks of their return to India, their tenant had been found guilty and is now behind bars for forged signatures.  Also, all his efforts are failing to get a bail and his family has tried all sorts of things, including threatening people who stood by us, but nothing is working.

After some time, I kept thinking how come it took the law 10 years to figure this out, and how things just fell into place.  Then suddenly, I wondered if someone waved a magic wand here.

One day while driving back from work, I was like, wait a minute, it is Mohanji who worked all this out. It was His leela that made me think of ordering the protection products for me, but the intention was to help my dad who needed His blessings more than anyone else.   He silently worked all this out magically without even asking.  I immediately messaged Mohanji to tell Him about this and wrote all in the message. As an answer, I received one message back that said it all, “Blessings Blessings.”

There was nothing else required….. all questions were replied, and such is a Guru’s blessings for His kids.

the bracelet of protection

Now the bracelet that I ordered for my angel is being worn by my dad.  Mohanji knows very well, when, where and what is needed …. we are too small in front of His work to even understand how He makes all this happen for all of us.

No words are enough to express my love & gratitude to Mohanji. All I can say is that my loved ones and I are truly blessed to have a Guru in our lives.

Jai Mohanji

Pranaam at your lotus feet

With Love & Gratitude

Mohanji
