Today, 21.02.2022, while we got together to chant for Mohanji’s Birthday celebration, I had an experience that I wanted to write about and share with everyone.
We started the usual process of chanting Mohanji’s Gayatri Mantra that I have been doing with the rest of the Mohanji family since January 23, 2022.
I am always in sync with the Mohanji Acharya, who leads us all through the session, but today I felt I was rushing, and I was chanting the mantra on my own while Nirupama ji was chanting at a different pace. I tried a lot to catch up with her and slow down my pace, but I just couldn’t. So I surrendered to my beloved Mohanji and continued at the pace I was going on.
Even before we started chanting, I was inside a beautiful cave with Mohanji, who was sitting on a golden chair that was emitting a strong and bright light. I had lit an oil lamp on the right side close to where Mohanji’s chair was. The energy kept flowing, and I could feel I was merging with him, and my pace of the mantra went a bit faster. In no time, I finished the 108 times chanting, and I wore the Rudraksha Mala (blessed by Mohanji in Kailash) that I was doing the chant with and sat waiting for the others in the online group to finish.
While I sat with my eyes closed, I saw myself getting closer to Mohanji’s feet and just through gestures, I showed my inclination to do Guru Paada Puja, to which Mohanji smiled, and I continued.
There was so much love pouring from Mohanji’s energy that I continued doing the Paada Puja while the chanting was still going on. Once I finished, I just sat close to Mohanji on his left side and kept looking at him while he smiled at me.
Photos from Mohanji’s Muscat house
I felt I was home
I became that small child who is in awe of her father and wants to keep looking at him while her father just smiles and showers more and more unconditional love on her. All this was happening while the mantra continued, and I was in a state of complete bliss.
What a blessing I received from my Mohanji today ….
Once the chanting session finished, I couldn’t speak about my experience to anyone as the feeling and energy were so strong that I just kept sitting with my hands folded and prostrating at Mohanji’s lotus feet.
Once I regained my senses, memories from my 1st Guru Paada Puja that happened here in Muscat on 23.02.2014 came flashing back to me.
I couldn’t believe myself with the energy that was flowing within me; I didn’t want to analyze anything; I was just soaking in the unconditional love of my Guru, my Mohanji. I picked up my phone to google about Paada Puja, and the 1st article that came up was Guru Paada Puja – Mohanji Satsang UK 2018.
I couldn’t stop reading the article where Mohanji explained the significance of Guru Paada Puja. He mentions there, “Don’t do any rituals just for the sake of doing it.” I understood the true meaning of it today. One should do it with full awareness, devotion and surrender.
When I did Paada Puja in 2014, I clearly didn’t understand the true significance; I did because of my love for Mohanji. Today while I wasn’t even in the same physical proximity, I totally understood the significance that Mohanji explained in that satsang.
Today, I received my biggest blessings in the form of performing Guru Paada Puja for my Mohanji two days before his birthday. What else can I ask for? What gift I can give him on his birthday when he lovingly knows how to spread unconditional love and grace upon his people.
I bow down in humility and gratitude at my Guru’s Feet and pray to him to always be with me so I can walk this path of liberation gracefully.

Sri Rudram is a powerful Vedic hymn dedicated to Lord Shiva, extolling him as omnipresent in every aspect of nature, beings, movable and immovables etc. Through chanting these divine verses, we request Lord Shiva to turn down his fierce exterior and show us his benevolent form. In the Chamakam, we place all the requests, both material and spiritual, before the compassionate Lord Shiva. Rudram Namakam and Chamakam remind one of Mohanji’s quotes in which Lord Shiva is described as embodying both the microcosm and the macrocosm.
With Mohanji‘s abundant blessings, the 51-day Sri Rudram online sessions conducted by the Himalayan School of Traditional Languages culminated successfully on the 25th of June 2021. This program entailed ten days of learning to chant the Rudram with the right pronunciations and intonations, followed by 41 days of daily practice and chanting in the online sessions.
Mohanji blessed the group for the efforts and insisted that these sessions should be done frequently and consistently. This was Mohanji’s loving message to us all.
“I congratulate all of you for completing the 41-day Rudram chanting effectively, and I congratulate all the people whoorganized it and conducted it.This is a very powerful thing. At this point in time, when immunity is extremely important, these chants will accent and empower the structure of our constitution.I wish all of you to continue this as best as you can and as long as you can. This will help you to stabilize, strengthen and align yourself.I wish you great success in life, and as always, we are one family; we are together. We will always walk together.
Lots of love – Mohanji
We had several participants from different time zones and in different time slots created to facilitate global chanting. We share some of the heartfelt insights from the participants during the wrap up on the last day of chanting.
Sathya Shivakumar, India
During my children’s summer vacations in May this year; I was contemplating enrolling my son on Sri Rudram classes. He had learnt under professional guidance for almost a year after his Upanayanam and was reciting flawlessly but lost touch as he wasn’t able to chant regularly over the last few years. I thought that summer would be the ideal time when he could dedicate some time to revise what he had already learnt.
A few weeks prior, I was asked to work alongside Revathy, and in my mind, I was visualizing Sri Rudram workshop where like-minded Acharyas and others can learn under professional guidance under the aegis of the Himalayan School of Traditional Languages (HSTL).
Imagine my surprise and delight when Revathy called and said to me, “Sathya, we have to organize Rudram chanting”. My mind raced, “Wow, Can Mohanji hear everything? This is impossible. It appears he does not want us to sit on a bright intention and procrastinate.”
I was really excited. I shared my thoughts on arranging someone well versed in Sri Rudram to conduct the sessions. Revathy voiced her concerns. She told us that Mohanji had mentioned that we have to start this with available resources and not postpone. Mohanji emphasized that,“Sri Rudram purifies the chanter and the environment!”
We had a few planning meetings, and it was decided that we would have three sessions to accommodate the various time zones. I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked to lead the chanting during one of the time slots.
I prepared my notes on the meaning of the stanzas of Rudram and also Mohanji’s quotes on Lord Shiva that beautifully describe Lord Shiva as the all-encompassing one. It was suggested that my son could put his Rudram training to use and teach those joining the 3:30 pm IST time slot. Wow! Here I was thinking of having him revise and recollect his training, and now he was being suggested as the trainer! From trainee to a trainer, what a leap! I took it up without hesitation because I felt Mohanji was empowering.
With the participants in the session being much senior to him by age, my son had to put in the effort and intensity to go from being a laid back student to the lead chanter of each session. It was the most unanticipated and yet most practical way of revising what one has learnt. When we teach others, it is indeed a different learning experience.
What we already know gets reinforced, and some unlearning takes place at the same time. We also develop patience and humility. I saw all this happening with my son. Each Rudram session was powerful. I would say that it is the sheer grace of Mohanji and the immense cooperation of all the participants that the entire 51 days went off without incident.
We thank Mohanji for giving us this golden opportunity of putting things together and bringing people together. He is giving us a platform where we are being empowered. We have to work on that and progress more and more. He is giving us this space to become lead chanters. We have to put in sustained effort in the future too.

I had aspired to learn Sri Rudram for a long time. I had seen my brothers learning and chanting. I had known a person explaining Rudram but found it very difficult to follow.
I wrote to the group in Palakkad but did not get any favourable response. I was really eager to learn and wanted to know if any online course was available during the pandemic times. I mentally submitted a prayer duringaarati to Mohanji and pretty soon I saw theHSTL flyeron Facebook.
Thanks to Mohanji for making this possible. I had a thought whether the style would be Yajur Veda or Sama Veda. Now I feel that more than the style, the pronunciation is very important. Initially, I was in the morning batch and the time was not convenient. Later I joined the afternoon slot. I thank Revathy, Sathya, Skanda and all the group members for arranging this session.
Anoop Das, USA
I had learnt the Sri Rudram about thirty five years ago. I have been thinking about resuming again and even bought a book. It has been with me for five years. A month back, I discussed this with my friends Sangeet and Sowmya. Within ten days, I received a WhatsApp message from them about this event. Even though I am not directly part of the Mohanji group, I came to know through them. I am fortunate to be a part of this group. Even with the cross country trip I am on, I was particular about doing the last few sessions. It is 5 am here. Thank you to Skanda and Bhavan for the teaching. It was great relearning and doing some unlearning as well.
I have never learnt the Chamakam part and this was an opportunity to learn that as well. Thanks to Skanda. I had learnt it from my Grandfather and a lot of nostalgic moments were coming back. Sathya’s brief of each anuvaka was really useful. We know some Sanskrit words and can guess the meaning, but the significance of each anuvaka added to the learning. It added to the learning experience. The meaning part and summary was a great learning for me. Even though it was online, it was really effective. It is good to see youngsters doing the chanting and teaching. That is a great blessing.
Sreeja Mohan
I saw the poster and thought an older person would teach us Rudram. Then I saw Skanda, a young teenager, chanting so fast and was pleasantly surprised. I called and told my friend “The boy who is teaching is about my son’s age! I thought it was going to be an old professor”. Taking turns and chanting the stanzas helped. Bhavan’s style, during the morning sessions, was totally different. Slowly, Anuvaka by anuvaka, I took it up and practised. I am really grateful that Lord Shiva and Mohanji blessed us and gave us this beautiful opportunity.
Sangeeth and Sowmya, USA
I once attended an Ekadasha Rudram program where the Sri Rudram is chanted 11 times, along with other Vedic hymns. I was a part of it during the prayers, the reverberations in the room and the energy was beautiful and unique. I never had an opportunity like that again.
Maybe I wished also but did not share that with Sowmya. When this opportunity came up I was really happy. The group energy, commitment, and everyone’s effort was inspiring. There was personal developmentalso. Thanks to Skanda, Revathy and Sathya. and thanks to Mohanji for giving us this wonderful experience where we learnt much more than the Mantra.

Śrī Rudram is the most sacred prayer-chant to worship Lord Shiva. It is a Vedic chant taken from the Krishna Yajurveda’s Taittiriya Samhita. It comprises of two parts, the Namakam and the Chamakam. It is believed that wherever the Rudram is chanted, that place becomes free from disease, drought, thefts and other ills. The Shiva Purāṇa explains that by chanting Rudram, one gains both worldly pleasures and liberation. In the current situation, where people are facing extremely challenging times, HSTL is proud to bring this sacred chanting program to raise positive vibrations in society.

I came to Rudram chanting and learning class by chance. I take it as blessings from Lord Shiva that I am even here. April 27th, I had to undergo slipped disc surgery which is considered serious as it involves delicate bone disk replacement in the cervical spine. The operation was successful; however, during the post-operation consultation, the doctor mentioned that around 7% of people lose their voices due to damage to the vocal cords. This news was a bit concerning for me then, but with the grace that did not happen to me.
Few days after my discharge from the hospital, my wife showed me the FB page of Hari Narayanan Namboothiri. I take Bhagwatam classes with him, and while glancing through his page, I came across the HSTL Rudram chanting and learning session flyer. I had an interest in learning Rudram for many years and saw this as a great opportunity while I was at home recovering.
With this great opportunity, I had some concerns. It was difficult to chant for long, and I had to drink lots of warm water after a brief talk. During this time of hesitation, I remembered Hari Narayanan shared a poem on many occasions which went like, “What is the use of a tongue if you cannot chant with it? Eyes that do not see Krishna, what is the use of eyes? If you cannot hear Kirtans, then what is the use of ears?” As I considered the poem, I understood the meaning and decided to take the course. As I was recovering, my voice was coming back slowly.
During the first few days of the chanting sessions, I had to drink warm water to soothe my throat during my allotted part. However, as days passed, I felt comfortable chanting the entire Namakam and Chamakam with my fellow participants. Even the negative aspect of my health later turned into positive energy. I only missed a few days in the beginning due to my circumstance; after that, I made it every day!
In the beginning, I had few apprehensions about the whole process of learning Rudram online. It is said, one needs to learn Shri Rudram directly from a Guru face to face. But as the days passed, I was astonished that I could feel the blessings of Mohanji and the grace of Sri Parameshwaran, and I felt as if Sri Bhavan were sitting next to me and teaching me. I got to experience face-to-face teaching from a guru, and I did not feel at all this was an online course. If I felt I was making mistakes while chanting, I sent messages via WhatsApp and would get corrections immediately. I felt very grateful for all the support.
I am also very grateful to the entire HSTL Team, Sri Bhavan, Dr Revathy, Dr Unnikrishnan, Anoop, and all my fellow participants during this chanting session. Lastly, I wish you all the blessings of Sri Parameswaran and the Grace of Mohanji. Jai Mohanji! Aum Namah Shivaya!

Jai Mohanji, everyone! I would like to share my experiences of chanting Rudram over the last 41 days. I have been chanting Rudram for the last few years. We do that in a group once a week, every Friday. When we chant in a group, any mistakes that we make get camouflaged amongst everyone’s chanting. And anything that we learn or correct during that week is forgotten by the time next Friday comes.
What the daily chanting has given me in the last 41 days is, first of all, when we chant in the mornings, the mind is fresh and active. Secondly, because it’s daily, whatever we learn, we remember to follow through for the next day. Thirdly, this was more like re-learning Rudram all over again because we were going through learning modules; any errors I was making while chanting, I was able to identify and correct them.
There is a big difference between chanting Rudram and chanting Rudram correctly. Those who are familiar with Rudram will know that it is full of intonations and mātrās (rhythmic patterns). When you chant correctly or knowing that you are in a position to chant correctly gives you immense satisfaction; these 41 days have really helped me towards that.
I also discovered that when we do meditation or Kriya, the mind wavers, and it takes some time before we realise that the mind has gone somewhere and to bring it back. But while chanting Rudram, I found that it’s a continuous meditation process for 35-40 minutes. To chant with precision, the mind must be actively focused and engaged in every word, pronunciation and intonation. The moment the mind wonders, we realise it because we make errors. The intonations and mātrās simply won’t flow the way they should. This has been another advantage of chanting continuously – the mind has been able to be engaged throughout the process.
More than the chanters who have made an effort to chant, I would say the biggest credit should go to the teacher because chanting is one thing, but teaching Rudram is an incredibly challenging job. Particularly to a group of people who are not familiar with the language or do not necessarily have an orientation towards the way of precise chanting, intonations and mātrās – a big thank you to Shyama for that.
Most importantly, immense gratitude to Mohanji for starting this initiative, allowing us to participate in the chanting and for his grace and blessings throughout these 41 days. It has certainly helped me build discipline, fix the errors that I used to make while chanting, and, more importantly, allowed me or given me the confidence to chant solo, which I had never been able to do before.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated, to the teacher and to our dear Mohanji for allowing me to participate in this programme.

I am a student of the HSTL (Himalayan School of Traditional Language) Sri Rudram chanting and learning sessions. The experience I received was on our 41st first day of chanting. It was only the grace of Mohanji which made this experience come to life.
It started like any other day. I sat down with my notes to chant along with our teacher Bhavan. That is when Revathy suggested to everyone, “Just close your eyes, listen and try to feel the chant.” I closed my eyes as instructed and started to listen and soak in the vibrations of the chant.
A few moments later, I had a vision where I saw a giant right leg resting on the ground. I also saw someone’s hands firmly clasping and hugging that leg. I was not sure if they were my hands. A few moments later, I saw a left leg, placed at a distance from the right one. At the same time, a right hand came into view, holding a big trident rooted firmly to the ground next to the feet. Now I could see the face of the being that I was witnessing. It was a very handsome figure with a majestic face and features, which I could not recognise. The entire figure shown now was of a beautiful and fair being. I consider this as a Shiva darshanam (vision) gifted to all of us by Mohanji.
At the end of our chanting, the profoundness of the image or vision did not dawn upon me. However, the following day, it filled my heart with so much love. I wanted to share this beautiful experience with everyone as Mohanji always advises us. Thank you to Lord Shiva and Mohanji for this life-changing experience. Aum Namah Shivaya!

I had wanted to learn the Lalitha Sahasranama for a while now, but I felt it was too difficult, and I would never be able to chant it. When I saw the Sri Rudram learning course, I thought, let me try. I know I can’t do but let’s try.
I am amazed at how quickly I learnt to chant the Sri Rudram. It may not be perfect, but when I could not even read a line and now can chant 11 Anuvakas, it’s a miracle. On the last day, when we were chanting, and Mohanji’s message was played, I felt that my body pores opened, and the whole Rudram was travelling inside me. The only thought that came up was that Mohanji had initiated me with Sri Rudram. That experience was so beautiful that tears start flowing when I think of it; my loving gratitude to Mohanji for his blessings.
Shyama Jeyaseelan, UK
The 41-day Rudram Namakam and Chamakam learning and chanting programme has been a beautiful journey of grace and blessings. While helping others learn to chant, I have also learned and discovered so much, not just in improving my chanting but also in discipline, self-confidence, willpower, gratitude, and humility.
The Central European Time (CET) zone group had participants from many countries, including Switzerland, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, India, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore and the UK. It was wonderful to see how much effort and time participants put in to learn this beautiful and powerful Vedam.
My love and gratitude to Mohanji for this amazing time together. Not only did we have the opportunity to learn something powerful together, but we were also able to send the positive and healing energy and the vibrations of the group to Mother Earth and all her beings, especially to all those affected by the current pandemic.
My gratitude to all the participants who joined early every morning with so much enthusiasm; and to the HSTL team for the loving support, and most of all to Mohanji for his presence, blessings and love, which are ever-present with us.

Last year with the onset of the Covid pandemic, Mohanji felt the need to create different platforms to help the people in distress and empower them with different techniques. In March, Acharyas from India were in Bangalore with Deviji. One day a message came from Mohanji to start Online Mai-Tri on Facebook to raise the vibrations of the people.
Soon we were all back in our respective places just in time before lockdown. With lockdown, life suddenly came to a standstill. Fear and anxiety gripped people all over the world. For the first time in the history of mankind, people were forced to stay inside their homes.
All the families under one roof, working online, working from home and children having online school. No external help. Being confined and stressed, fear of the deadly disease was creating havoc. Mohanji came up with many simple techniques through Acharyas for the people of the world to destress and be peaceful, calm and happy.
One of the techniques was chanting mantras. Acharyas were asked to chant a mantra 108 times on Facebook live in the morning and in the evening. Chanting mantras release positive energy, which decreases negative thoughts and stress levels. Chanting mantras is an ancient practice that calms your mind and emotions.
Chanting 108 times can decrease anxiety and depressive symptoms in the human body. It helps your ability to concentrate and focus your attention on a single task, thus bringing you to the present moment and empowering you.
I started chanting the Maha Mritunjaya mantra on Facebook live. Maha Mritunjaya mantra is considered to be one of the most powerful Shiva mantras. It is also called the Heart of Vedas. Chanting of this mantra bestows longevity, wards off calamities and prevents untimely death. It removes fear and heals holistically. It aligns, strengthens and helps the spiritual journey of the listener as well as the one who is chanting.
I am not very good at singing or reciting. But I had a basic knowledge of Sanskrit, and it helped. On FB live, you sit and chant loudly in a room. Your composed self and voice enables you to connect to the audience. You chant with your eyes closed.
Here I had my first experience of connecting to the self. As I went deep inwards, I felt cyclic movements from the root chakra to the crown chakra and experienced a state of bliss. This self-connection is normally not possible in a day to day life. Usually, the mind is always in chatter mode or thinking and planning. So I took every opportunity to do the chanting. We have been chanting every Saturday on zoom for months.
As the second wave of the Covid pandemic came, things were gloomy again. Mohanji Acharyas came up with different chanting programs and sessions. Chant 4 Bharat was one of them. A mandala (41 days) of chanting a mantra using the collective power of intention and power of mantra chanting loudly with full concentration was encouraged. Many volunteers joined the Acharyas for the Chant 4 Bharat program, where the Maha Mritunjaya mantra was chanted in 4 different time zones for people of the world who were suffering and had lost their loved ones and all those who were helping others.
My family was going through a tough time. I joined in the chanting of the Maha Mritunjaya mantra. Rajesh Kamath, Mohanji Acharya, on his page Sacred Bharat had been giving details on chanting, a few dos and don’ts of chanting. He wrote – connect to your heart center, the seat of the Guru (Spiritual Master). In our case, we visualise our Guru Mohanji in our heart center while chanting.
One day while going through the messages on WhatsApp, in the Chant 4 Bharat group, I saw Rajesh Kamath’s explanation on how Mohanji advises chanting in the spine. “Mentally feel the spine while chanting – any part of it. When you feel the spine, your focus is on the spine. When your focus is on the spine, you get rooted in the spine. When you get rooted in the spine, you can go beyond the body and the mind.”
With this intention in my mind, I chanted on Saturday, May 22nd. I had one session at 3 pm for the India page and another for Chant 4 Bharat at 5 pm. The first session was quite intense. And in the second session, I started by asking all to sit tall and straight, completely rooted in their spine while chanting. I started chanting with awareness on the spine, from root chakra to the crown chakra.
Suddenly, I felt as if something hot was being poured at the point from where the spine begins at the top of the neck. I started feeling intense heat in my spine, slowly spreading all over my body. I could see a huge idol of Lord Shiva in a meditation posture on my left. Mohanji was sitting at the feet of Lord Shiva, wearing a white dhoti and ang vastra (shoulder cloth). He was tapping his feet to each chant with a smile on his face.
I could see him and feel the intense heat as I continued chanting with closed eyes. Then I felt the heat increasing, and suddenly my body was on fire. My whole body was burning. I was still chanting loudly. As the session came to an end, I saw myself turned into ash. Smoke was coming. Then everything was cool and light; chanting finished. There was a feeling of bliss. The beautiful session was over, and I was my normal self once again, but totally rejuvenated.
Guru leela (divine play) of Mohanji made me witness my dissolution through chanting the Maha Mritunjaya mantra.

INSTRUCTION VIA BLISS OF SILENCE MEDITATION
by Chitra Aylam, India
God sends Masters to guide us if we have a strong wish for a Guru and, the Masters use various methods to guide us. Before meeting Mohanji in 2018 January, I had another Guru, Matha Sulochana Devi, who lived in Krishna Consciousness and took Samadhi in 2007. Here is an experience I had in 2018, within few days after meeting Mohanji in person.
FAITH WORKS WHEN YOU SURRENDER
Usually, I never notice the colour of the costume, ornaments and so forth of another person. Few days after meeting Mohanji, my brother informed me about many meditation techniques of Mohanji which can be downloaded. So, I searched and found the Bliss of Silence meditation (BOS) audio and listened to that once. The next day, both of us decided to do it, but my search for that earlier one resulted in switching to a BOS video in Singapore. Before starting, I switched off the room light and the computer screen after the audio started playing. After the five-speed breathing exercise, at a particular time, I dozed off for some seconds, and then I couldn’t hear any voice coming through; there was no background music. So, I thought the PC got stuck and switched on the screen.
Mohanji, in a pink shirt, was sitting in a chair with his eyes closed. When I watched, Mohanji opened his eyes, waved his hand and spoke in Malayalam (voice wasn’t audible, but I could clearly understand), “Not over yet, close your eyes and continue.”
Shocked at this, I switched off the PC screen, closed my eyes, but my mind started asking, “Was he talking to me or someone in the hall?” Maybe some Malayalam speaking followers were sitting in the hall, etc. Immediately, I instructed my mind to continue with the meditation, as said by Mohanji.
I couldn’t believe this. For one month, daily, I went on checking this video and couldn’t find what I saw. Later, I connected to Dr. Sunil Nair, who organized this event, and he confirmed that Mohanji spoke entirely in English there because there were many North Indians present in the hall. So, I understood that the instruction given during the meditation was entirely meant for me. So dear friends, Mohanji can connect to us through the recorded video too and bless us.
Such is the blessing given by our dear Guru Mohanji. My humble prostration at your lotus feet, dear Mohanji, for giving me such a beautiful experience. Jai Mohanji.

Chanting is a very powerful technique. And when done in a group, it becomes very powerful. We started the Saturday Mahamrityunjay chanting for half an hour a year ago, offline and later through a zoom session. Slowly we started using, ‘Mohanji conscious chanting‘ technique. Someone might feel what the difference is? You are chanting the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra only.
My personal experience is that with Mohanji conscious chanting technique, you invoke the mantra’s power and invoke the power and energy of Mohanji and connect to his consciousness. Thus chanting becomes many folds powerful.
When we begin chanting, we connect to Mohanji and our spine and feel the presence of our Guru in our heart chakra, the seat of our Guru. Using this technique, nine of us started chanting this Saturday.
My family is going through a covid situation – a grim situation. Just before the chant, I surrendered everything to Mohanji, including my fear and any apprehensions I had in my mind. With total surrender to Mohanji and fully present in the session, I led the chanting of Mahamrityunjay mantra.
My belief is that when we chant from deep within, we align ourselves, our chakras and feel a rhythmic movement of energy from the root chakra to the crown chakra. One starts melting in the rhythm, and you become centred within yourself.
All through the chanting, Mohanji’s presence was felt, as if he was sitting with us chanting. The Mahamritunjaya mantra is a potent mantra that removes negativity, fear of death, curing and strengthening us. It helps in elevating oneself towards liberation.
Suddenly, while chanting, I felt a black cloud-like thing rising up in my chest, collecting in the centre, and it suddenly went out of my crown. I felt suddenly lighter, as if all the burden was taken away. And then Mohanji was clearly visible, blessing each one of us with white light.
A white light came from his palm, covering me in love and warmth that was soothing, very reassuring, and having immense pleasure and peace. The session went on for half an hour. In the end, there was a deep feeling to share Mohanji’s energy with all those suffering in these difficult times of Covid in India. We then chanted, ”Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu’, for each being of Mother Earth.
Mohanji was looking upon us smiling and with a twinkle in his eyes. We bowed down to the Master at the end of the session. Each one felt the powerful energy. Two of them had tears in their eyes. Each one wanted to be in that energy without saying anything.
For me, it was a blessing. I know Mohanji is always with each of his devotees. Only one has to be hollow and empty to receive his energy and merge in his consciousness. He is our guide, our survivor and a pillar of strength. Our faith in him would sail us through this calamity smoothly. That’s why he came and confirmed his presence and blessings.

Here are two beautiful examples of Mohanji’s blessings and grace. Both Rajan and Jyoti feel immense gratitude towards their Guru Mohanji as they experienced unconditional love and protection during their difficult phases of ill health and doubts that the mind conjours up!
by Rajan Ganapathy
I came to know about Mohanji through a website when I came across a few articles and I was immediately drawn towards him. This was around four years ago. Shortly after that I got in touch with Narendra from Jammu who guided me to get in touch with Madhu in Mumbai (since I too am from Mumbai).
Within a short time, I got an opportunity to meet Mohanji in a packed hall including international devotees and disciples in Shirdi (Nov-2017), along with my wife. My daughter and I also had the good fortune of taking his aarati and we were also fortunate to receive his Eye card from the Brahmarishi himself.
Further meetings happened in various places in Mumbai and I was also graced by Mohanji’s Shaktipat. I have had the fortune of attending a few satsangs and meditation sessions at a devotee’s residence. I have been blessed to read many articles by Mohanji and have been inspired by his thoughts.
The involvement with Mohanji continued wherein I have been fortunate to receive his blessings through his devotees when I was down with Dengue in 2018. I have attended some sessions on Ramraksha Stotra during the initial days of Covid.
The most of last year has been tough combating Covid and more so the mental state of most of us. I have been having issues of anxiety and fear and these have reduced a lot thanks to Mohanji. I am confident that with Mohanji’s blessings all will be well with me. This is the benevolence of our beloved Master Mohanji.
Miracle by Mohanji felt by me
Mohanji has said that fear has a better chance of manifesting in our lives because mind nurtures the negative more than the positive. This became true when I was Covid positive during Navaratri 2020 and put a message on one of the Mohanji Whatsapp groups.
I was fortunate to get a response from Sunita and her call soothed me. I was equally fortunate to receive Mai-Tri from Rekha Murali and Sunita. These sessions were a pillar of strength as I felt Mohanji’s presence with me and my gratitude also to Gayatri and Durga who prayed for me.
When I tested positive for Covid, I was almost in tears and had given up hope as I had been suffering for months due to frequent health issues and I was in a poor state of mind. It was at this juncture that Sunita made me feel Mohanji’s presence. Her nurturing of me as her son and her motherly love has been a great supporting factor to me and I will remain ever indebted to her.
Online zoom sessions have been happening post Covid and I have been part of the Gayatri mantra chanting, Datta Jayanthi celebrations, bhajans, Maha Mrityunjay mantra chanting and more recently the birthday celebrations. All of these have been a major factor in my getting back to normal and even as I am writing this note I can’t resist but prostrate at the lotus feet of our beloved Guru Brahmarishi Mohanji.
There is immense gratitude to Mohanji and our Mohanji family for all the support extended and for the benefits conferred upon me. The kind of cohesive atmosphere that prevails in our Mohanji family is something which makes our bond stronger with the Master. I prostrate at his lotus feet, pray to him to take care of all of us who are a part of his family. He is truly a Father for all of us.
My Deep Connect
By Jyoti Gupta, India
I am from Jammu and have been lucky to spend time with and serve Mohanji many times. He used to come and stay with us on his way to Dharamshala where his ashram was before shifting to Jammu. For us, he is family, friend and Guru. He accepted us as we are. I don’t know any rituals or prayers. Nor can I do meditations. Mohanji always says be natural. Do what you enjoy. I run a school for underprivileged children – Mohanji School of Supplementary Education for Underprivileged Children. I love children. I love to sing, dance and teach them to be good human beings. Mohanji has always encouraged me and supported me. Being a pottery artist, I teach pottery to kids and have made souvenirs for Mohanji Foundation.
In the last few years, Mohanji has been traveling a lot and his ashram has also shifted to Bangalore. His visits to Jammu have become few. When you are not able to meet Mohanji as you did before, the mind starts playing games. I started feeling that I have lost connection with Mohanji.
Last month, I received a call from my sister Dolly from Dubai. She asked me to see the Hindi FB page and listen to the experience ‘My Journey to Kailash with Mohanji’ shared by Preeti Duggal. I asked my sister to narrate it as I was lazy to sit and listen. Dolly told me that Preeti Duggal went on a journey to Mount Kailash with Mohanji. Due to ill health, she was not able to go to Mount Kailash. She was very sad. She is deeply connected to Mohanji and had fully surrendered to him.
Mohanji takes care of all and fulfils our wishes. Mohanji had asked Preeti Duggal to take three circumambulations of him to complete her journey to Kailash. She did that and felt elevated, light and experienced she had been with Shiva. This again brought a thought in my mind – was I connected to Mohanji? I went upstairs to the terrace and kept walking and questioning Mohanji if I had a connection with him or not. My husband Suman was also walking with me. I did not say a word to him. I went downstairs and slept.
I was suffering from severe back pain for one and a half months. I was wearing an orthopaedic belt to move around the house. Helpers were doing the household work. Getting up from bed in the morning was a big exercise. While on the bed, the same question was troubling me, “Mohanji, am I connected to you or not, please tell me?” In the night, I felt Mohanji come and give a massage on my back. Then he moved his hand on my back like a doctor. He was smiling but said nothing.
When I got up in the morning, I had no problem. I told my husband that there was no pain. After a few days, I worked around the house. No pain. Suddenly it dawned upon me that Mohanji had come and treated me. I was fine, totally recovered. I immediately messaged Mohanji. Prompt was his reply.
Never doubt your connection with me. I am always connected to you. You are doing wonderful work with children. Keep doing it. I am always with you.
Mohanji
I know, yes, Mohanji is always with me.

Today (on Guru Purnima), I had a profound experience during our Google Meet get together which was arranged to chant the new mantra that Mohanji had given us during the Guru Poornima week. We were to chant this mantra with all the new initiates.
Yesterday, I received a message from Aditya, our country head. He asked me if I could chant this new mantra live, exclusively for the new initiates for an hour. Then he messaged saying it had to be done on Google Meet. I informed him that I didn’t have the app and could do it only on my phone. There was no reply or message from him yesterday.
This morning I got up and listened to Mohanji’s Guru Poornima message and was trying to finish my daily chores before the eclipse started. The first thing on my mind was to chant this powerful and beautiful mantra 108 times. I lit the lamp and did the chanting. It was around 8:55 am when my phone rang and it was Aditya calling.
He said, “Nirupmaji, start chanting the new mantra at 9 am on Google Meet.” I was shocked and not prepared. I told him that I didn’t have Google Meet. He was as cool as ever and asked me to download it immediately. Believe me, I just had a few minutes to set the altar, change clothes, and start the session.
With Mohanji’s grace, we managed to start at 9:05 am. The chanting began, and to my surprise, it was not my voice that I could hear. Slowly the momentum began. I felt a few souls near me playing string instruments. They were all dressed in white, translucent clothes.
As we were chanting, Mohanji came and sat on a decorated wooden stool with his feet resting on a brass plate. Many people came and started doing abhishekam (ritual bathing) with milk, curd, honey and water. Then he got up, went to change and came back and sat on a chair. Everyone applied tilak (mark on the forehead), placed garlands on his neck and tied sacred threads on his wrist. And to my amazement, now I was chanting each chant in a different voice corresponding to the person offering prayers to Mohanji.
My spine started burning slowly and heat reached my crown chakra. I felt that I would faint. Suddenly, I felt Mohanji’s hand on my head and it took away all the heat. Feeling blissful at that moment, I continued chanting for an hour. The mantra is very powerful and it took me to a different realm altogether in the presence of my Guru, where I chanted all through his abhishekam and puja.
Do request for this mantra (by writing an email to acharyas@mohanji.org) and experience the bliss it brings.
By Raghvendra Pandey, India
I have had several experiences of Sai Baba from late 2018, after Dussehra. By Baba’s grace, I started overcoming a long battle with depression and was even blessed with a baby boy in December 2019. I started to watch a lot of Mohanji’s videos on YouTube and became curious to understand more about life and its purpose. I began to watch more and more of these videos.
I also started to chat with Mohanji Acharyas on Facebook about my depression. I recently had my first Mai-Tri session and got to know about the Power of Purity meditation as well. I recently had a dream where I could hear a voice saying something about Jnaneshwar and Lord Shiva. It was a long discussion in the dream, but in the morning I remembered only Jnaneshwar and Lord Shiva (these 2 names). Soon I forgot about it, but yesterday I saw a video on YouTube where Gautamji was talking about Jnaneshwar and Guru Poornima.
Sathya Sai Baba
Then I realised that I should join the group which was learning the new mantra. While chanting the new mantra, I saw Mohanji throwing ashes and also Sathya Sai Baba. I just finished another session of chanting this new mantra, and my heart is filled with love and gratitude.

It is the second week of May. The UK is finally seeing a decline in the spreading of the Covid-19 virus. Lockdown measures are slightly relaxed, although restrictions for travel, school, shopping, socialising and for the elderly, as in many other areas still continue. After the loss of thousands of lives and devastation to so many families, we are hoping that life will return to relative normalcy soon.
The UK is one of the countries to be severely affected during the pandemic. During the peak time in April, nearly a thousand lives were being lost every day. Fighting this invisible force was a huge challenge for the country as it was for the rest of the world.
During this time, we all faced many other challenges too. Many people lost their livelihood. No jobs meant little or no income to support our families. While many people were asked to work from home, front line workers had to continue to go to work, potentially risking their lives daily. The National Health Service (NHS) was struggling to support its staff with adequate personal protective equipment (PPE). Many NHS staff members fell ill, and sadly many lives were also lost.
Despite all these challenges, the human spirit survived. We saw so many charities and organisations coming forward to support and help the NHS, to help the elderly and the vulnerable, to support those people who had lost their jobs. Mohanji ACT Foundation team also came forward to help wherever possible with many acts of kindness.
With generous donations from the Mohanji UK family, food donations were made to local NHS hospitals to help the staff. This meant that many of them did not need to face a long shopping queue at the end of a long and stressful working day. Food donations were made to food-banks where those without jobs come and receive supplies to help them with their daily essentials.
While work places brought many changes to most people, as an NHS worker, my work continued as normal. It also meant that social distancing was not possible, I had to make physical contact with patients as before. There was no PPE for regular ultrasound scan sessions, only when coming in contact with confirmed Covid-19 patients. During the first few weeks we did not even have masks to wear.
We have all learnt that life will always bring challenges, some harder than others, but when Guru’s grace and protection is present, we are immune to the shocks of daily life. This is something I have seen in so many ways within this short time.
During our Acharya training, I remember Mohanji saying many times,
“The Tradition is with you. Be fearless. Be compassionate and loving. Serve the society.”
This reassurance and guidance was definitely in need at this time of crisis. With Mohanji’s grace, there was no fear of the disease in me, whether it was at work or during service activities. Any of my patients could be carriers of the virus or might be in the incubation period of developing the illness. Never once did Mohanji allow a drop of fear to come in my thoughts. When people ask if it’s stressful going to work, the answer was a truthful, and cheerful, “No, I’m ok.” Fear, worry or anxiety would have definitely reduced my immune system and made be vulnerable to falling ill, and Mohanji made sure I felt stable within. It was also really nice to share that stability and positive attitude with my colleagues; it helped us all to have a relatively normal work environment.
All the Acharyas and other Mohanji Foundation volunteers were doing online programmes as inspired by Mohanji. My resistance to learning to use new technology, fear of facing a live camera, and all other feelings of insecurities melted away as we all realised the importance of doing these online activities. Reaching out to as many people as possible with love and bringing positivity at a time when so many people were facing various fears was paramount.
Amongst the various programmes, we were also chanting the Gayatri mantra and the Maha Mrithyunjaya mantra every day intending to bring love, light and positive energy to Mother Earth and all her beings. This was benefitting us immensely too. The energy and the vibrations of the chanting were definitely energising and rejuvenating, increasing our immunity. When I received unusually high numbers of requests for distant Mai-Tri sessions, I realised the amount of healing Mohanji was giving me also. How beautifully he takes care of us, whether we realise it or not.
Many of the ACT volunteers were not able to physically help with the food donations due to various reasons. This meant that I was able to help often, and it was truly a privilege to have the opportunity to help the NHS staff, the Covid hub staff and the homeless shelters by distributing essential food supplies. It was a heart touching moment to see the happy faces of the doctors when a volunteer took ice-cream bars to a local accident and emergency department. Mohanji has given us this amazing platform, to help and make a difference in our local communities, to make a positive contribution and it’s truly wonderful to be a part of it.
Mohanji has said this period in confinement is a time for contemplation and reflection. Nature has given us time to slow down and to reassess what is truly important in our lives. It has been a time for me to appreciate my time with the family. With universities and schools closed, my children are home and it’s wonderful to be together, to tease them, to laugh and enjoy their company. It’s great to play with our cats in the garden. We have been blessed with warm weather on most days and it has given me the time to sit in the garden and enjoy nature, to connect with the elements. This is something I have not done in years.
Social media has brought the global family to our homes. Friends and relatives, whom I have not spoken to or made contact with in many months, have been in touch. It has been a time to reconnect and to ensure the well-being of our dear ones. Even my parents who are in their 80s face time us to see the cats!
I’m truly grateful for the many moments of grace that has been possible only because of Mohanji. Thank you Mohanji for your presence in our lives, and for giving us the guidance and the platforms to serve the society with love, compassion, and kindness. Thank you for inspiring us with your words and actions to serve selflessly and fearlessly.

During the coronavirus pandemic, inspired by Mohanji’s call for action, the UK family also came together and started doing online programmes from morning till night. We have had sessions of chanting starting from 6 am to sessions of book reading, meditations, online Mai-Tri, special devotional songs etc.
During these sessions, Mohanji’s presence is often felt by the person who is conducting, as well as those who are viewing. Sometimes Mohanji makes us feel his presence even beyond energetically, many times showing physical signals too.
It’s very easy to discard such signals as imagination or just mere coincidences. For someone, who needs the assurance of Mohanji’s presence, he shows it. Such a signal becomes special for us, because we notice this signal on a specific day, or during a specific session, but not all the time. These signals are not imaginary. These are very much true to show Mohanji’s presence without presence.
Let me narrate a few experiences that we have observed in the last few days.
Last week, on 7th April, during Hanuman Jayanti, Harish and I were chanting the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra. We were live on Facebook.
As we finished chanting, few of the viewers sent some snapshots from this chanting session, where Mohanji’s photo looked exactly like Hanumanji. No doubt, no coincidence, no imagination.
Mohanji’s mouth area appearing like Hanumanji’s
We understood Mohanji’s kindness and compassion. It was his way of showing his presence in a form that someone could connect to. It was such a blessing for all of us to feel the presence of Hanumanji, the Consciousness of Hanuman through Mohanji, through Mohanji’s Consciousness on that occasion.
After all, Para Brahma is one, and only one.
On 13th April, we had a special event, continuous chanting for 12 hours, starting at 6 am. Chai was doing the chanting at that time. While she was about to start, she had some technical issues. She really needed help, and called out to Mohanji, “Please be with me Mohanji.” Of course, her session went on well. When she finished her session (https://www.facebook.com/chailaisiong/videos/10213718080261299/), she noticed the wick of the candle that was in front of Mohanji’s photo showing a clear ‘M’ shape. She realised it was Mohanji showing her the evidence that indeed he was with her.
Then on 14th April, Harish was chanting at 6 am. After his chanting, Pravin bhai messaged saying that he noticed a bright light at the center of Mohanji’s forehead on the photo.
Bright light in Mohanji’s third eye area
After this message, we contemplated on all these experiences.
I thought this might be the reflection of the ceiling light. We have many spotlights on our ceiling and most of the time we can see those multiple lights as multiple dots over the photo. However today, how come just one was there and exactly on the 3rd eye? Where were the other dots, as all the lights were on!
That made me realise, for someone who needs that assurance of Mohanji’s presence, he shows it.
May be Pravin bhai (the viewer who notified us about this special appearance on the photo), needed some assurance that morning and Mohanji made his presence felt.
When I was talking to Pravin bhai later, he further mentioned that, usually in the morning he doesn’t watch FB online sessions. But when he woke up this morning and looked at his phone, the FB session opened up without any notification. Hence he started watching and noticed this dot. He also mentioned that this dot was expanding at times, it was not static. He even showed this to his wife.
Then he mentioned that yesterday during the 12 hour chanting, when he was chanting the Shiva Mantra, he was feeling Mohanji very much and thought in his mind, is Mohanji really listening to his chanting?
So after seeing this dynamic dot on Mohanji’s third eye on this photo, and the way he was made to see this session, he felt it was surely Mohanji giving him darshan and showing that he was pleased with Pravin bhai’s chanting yesterday.
After listening to this detailed account from Pravin bhai, I was sure of my understanding that even though Mohanji is always with us, he shows such symbols at specific instances to show physical evidence to the person.
Just as he did yesterday for Chai too, she was praying to Mohanji to be with her and he showed her his presence through the candle!
Whether it is the ceiling light reflections or a candle, these real material things show something beyond the material items! The true reality beyond the physical!
I was convinced, this is not imagination. This is very much true.
Truth as it IS!
Because this is Mohanji’s response to the love and call of his devotees.

“I have told them, I’m coming to Sri Lanka in February!” Mohanji uttered these words looking into my eyes in Singapore, in December 2018 after the Consciousness Kriya Initiation, where I was volunteering that day. I was totally confused for a second. Then I thought that it was a good opportunity for me to be with Mohanji again soon.
He said February, and it was in February 2020 when the trip happened. And as destiny had it planned, all the people who were meant to be there were there, in the presence of Mohanji. He is Shiva Consciousness himself for those who have the eyes to see the real energy, beyond his physical appearance or personality.
It’s true too, that you can never see how a true Master operates when you look through human eyes and mind; it’s only when we open the eyes of our soul, truth can dawn upon us. Only our true self can acknowledge and see a true Master, that too, when we are ready.
I’m eternally grateful for every minute of my life that prepared me for the experience that my soul witnessed during the 12 hours of Homa, which took place on Shivaratri during my Sri Lanka trip.
After the Global Summit, we had people joining us for the Ramayana Trails pilgrimage on 21st February, which happened to be on Shivaratri. And with Mohanji’s blessings, Mohanji Acharya Rajesh Kamath, supported by Mohanji Acharya Ananth Sankaran, started the Homa around 6.00 pm that day. Such blessed instruments of Mohanji who conducted this Homa for 12+ hours without any breaks and with such intensity. It was overwhelming to see their dedication, focus and commitment along with others who were supporting the holy session.
We wrapped up the last session of the Summit and welcomed all those who were joining the Ramayana Trails. There was an opening satsang with Mohanji, which filled everyone with bliss. Love was flowing in every corner of the room.
Later, when we headed down to join the Homa, we were advised to sit for as long as we could. The Homa had already started in a beautiful location, next to the beach and under the sky with stars witnessing the sacred ceremony.
Mohanji was already seated there, looking intensely towards the sacred fire, as we arrived around 9.15 pm. As we were about to sit in a corner, Mohanji called us and said, “Come sit here!” (in front of him), and that in itself surprised me.
I sat in front of Mohanji and he jokingly said, “Don’t crush my foot!” His foot had been swollen for the past 20 days, but he didn’t cancel any engagements, meetings, or trips. As he always says, “How can I cancel anything, when people have travelled from far and wide to see me.”
So, he was sitting there and as soon as we settled down, he asked us to chant the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya, Shivaya Namah Om.’ The wave of chanting started, while ghee was being offered and the rest of the proceedings were being done.
I closed my eyes and with each chant, I was going deeper and deeper, as if Mohanji was taking me on a journey within. I was trying my best to be in sync with the others who were chanting, but after a while, my chants became louder, as if coming from the deepest corner of my soul.
I lost control over what was happening inside, and my voice was getting deeper and deeper and out of sync with the others. On one side, I was feeling bad that I was not chanting in sync with others and on the other side, believe it or not, I had no control over it.
Soon after, I could see myself in my previous lives; praying, singing and chanting in many lifetimes, yearning to be with Shiva. Someone learned had mentioned long ago that I was a Shiva Bhakta in my previous lives, to which I had not paid much attention to. In this life, my spiritual journey started with Sai Baba, who brought me to Mohanji.
I could see how my soul in every lifetime, chanted and chanted, and yearned to be in Shiva’s presence, to merge with Shiva’s Consciousness. Series of lifetimes were flashing in front of my closed eyes; making me realize that it was not just by coincidence that I got to sit in front of Mohanji; it was Mohanji fulfilling my wish, my yearning of lifetimes, by making me sit there and chant Om Namah Shivaya; from the core of my heart and soul, which was witnessed by all the five elements. Shiva, the Supreme Consciousness, was present as Mohanji, my eternal Father and Guru.
All I wished at that moment was to melt and turn into ashes that very second, not to come back. My soul was completely absorbed in oneness in the chant at Shiva’s feet. There was nothing in this entire life, or previous lives, that were more precious than those moments. This life could have ended there happily, as the deepest wish of my soul was fulfilled, that too, without this physical mind, body and intellect being aware of it. Only Shiva could have known the yearning of this soul. How can I ever offer gratitude to Mohanji for something so precious that was granted to me in such a subtle and unassuming way.
The energy was at its peak and my soul was ready to turn into ashes there and then, to merge with the
Supreme Consciousness, strongly insisting on turning into ashes, as there was nothing else that the soul desired after that. Suddenly Mohanji said, “Stop!” and everything inside me stopped, my consciousness separated from the Supreme and started coming back to the physical world slowly. Everything slowed down and just the chanting remained. I suddenly felt it was not the time to go, there was more remaining of this body’s physical existence.
This ignorant mind knows nothing, I pray to him to give me eyes that see him in everything and everyone, to give me thoughts and words that are filled with his love, to give me ears that hear the best in everyone, to purify my being totally to become an instrument of spreading his light, till it’s time to turn into ashes and merge with him.
When I opened my eyes, it was 1.30 am and we were chanting the Maha Mritunjaya mantra for the rest of the night. We had four dogs, representing Datta’s presence, sitting around us the whole night.
The Homa was completed at 6.30 am, and thanks to the motivation from Lisa, Pooja and Soujanya, I ended up being there till the end, though dozing off slightly many times. Infinite gratitude to Mohanji Acharya Kamath for conducting this powerful Homa ceremony with blessings from Mohanji.
It’s not possible to do justice trying to explain what took place in words; still this was my humble attempt. Ah! How dumb I felt, not understanding the real significance of being called by Mohanji, my Shiva, the Supreme Consciousness, to come to Sri Lanka. Just another example of how ignorant and limited the human mind is, not knowing the real significance of this very subtle hint.
Eternal gratitude at Mohanji’s lotus feet, with a prayer to turn me, my ego, and my existence into ashes, so that only HE remains and works through this body and mind, during every aspect of my remaining life.
