Intense spiritual practices

Conscious Gapless Breathing

During the EMPOWERED program’s questionnaire session, Mohanji told me to “Intensify sadhana” and said, “Our spiritual progress should always reflect with more compassion towards family, friends, animals, etc.” When I was trying to find out ‘how to intensify my sadhana’, I stumbled upon Rekha Murali’s testimonial about how intense the Conscious Gapless Breathing technique (CGB) was when practiced for 21 days as a challenge. On reading the testimonial, I reached out to her and expressed my interest (with gratitude) in learning this CGB technique. Rekha and Aditya Nagpal conducted a workshop for the same for five days just before Diwali in November 2021.

It was a cute little group of people who shared similar thought processes. During the first two days, there was a significant change in my behaviour to be more aware and calm than usual. This itself made me energetic enough throughout the day. But on the third day, I experienced a little sadness in a certain posture, which was not mine but from someone else.

When I observed the feeling the following day, it dawned on me that the sadness was my mother’s when I was in her womb. I quickly cross-checked with her if she had undergone any pain while I was in her womb. She confirmed that she had and said, “During the 8th month, I tried to sit down on the floor, and that caused me pain, which made me cry a lot.” This explanation helped me understand what I had noticed during the CGB session.

Truly, CGB does stir all the heavy, un-noticed, settled emotions from the bottom of our container. By the 5th day of CGB (the day before Diwali), there was a stirring of total restlessness and extra energy that I couldn’t handle myself. Due to this, I fell back into my usual patterns of overeating and needless anxiety. Usually, managing such emotions might take days to months, depending on our constitution.

Fortunately, Aditya Nagpal announced a group Mai-Tri session on Diwali, conducted by Preeti Duggal, and how attending this Mai-Tri might effortlessly cleanse us from all that had been churned with CGB. Some of us quickly grabbed this opportunity and attended the group Mai-Tri session.

Significantly, a huge cleansing happened for all of us. From the day I had opened my eyes in this life until the day of the Mai-Tri session, the whole reel of incidents played like a quick short film. It showed glimpses of my emotions when I was hurt, or felt low, discriminated against, helpless and all of those emotions that were low in frequency. Later, the same short film played once again, but this time, it showed me how the supreme consciousness had taken care by giving me luck factors, people who love me, and how God’s hand was carrying me like a baby, protecting me from negative thoughts all the time.

There was only gratitude that was left behind and a divine motherly love that was bestowed upon me, keeping me calm and stable.

A day after Diwali, I understood that if this combination of CGB and Mai-Tri could be conducted as a package, and if we could utilise the opportunity, we could certainly experience a shift in our level of consciousness.

Beautiful was the experience of Group Mai-Tri as well, which is described below.

Mohanji himself is the supreme consciousness to me. Else, how could my ignorant self have the ability to understand how he is operating through various souls around me. My humble pranaams at his lotus feet.

Group Mai-Tri and Empowered Program

Attending the group Mai-Tri conducted by Preeti Duggal on the day of Diwali in November 2021 was a sheer blessing that came directly from Mohanji.

Simultaneously, I was overcoming certain fears and insecurities (in career and family) through the cleansing as part of the EMPOWERED program conducted by Mohanji in September 2021.

In the group Mai-Tri session, intentions were placed to release the unwanted fears and insecurities that I felt were unnecessary. This helped me shed a certain weight from my karmic baggage. Before this, I attended CGB, and there was unprocessed restlessness and anxiety within me, which caused distractions during the Mai-Tri session.

But though the distractions kept coming back, I tried to concentrate as much as possible and listened to Preeti’s voice invoking Dattatreya’s presence. Midway during the session, suddenly, a film started playing within me, showing a short glimpse of all events and situations that had caused me sadness, or exposed me to my vulnerable nature, the small mistakes that I had made, which made me feel guilty throughout my life. I could understand that it was all me and how my soul felt when I was doing certain things just for fun. I understood my soul, and I was different in frequencies, and most importantly, my soul silently watched the show. I felt sorry for myself.

Then immediately, when we invoked the Mother Goddess’s presence, I could experience and feel Mother Kali’s fierce form. I even saw myself under the trident, ready to be hit. But there was no fear. Instead, I was happy to see how well protected I was under her trident. Then I understood that Mother’s Kali form had come to keep our ego in check (under the trident). There was only gratitude in me.

When Baba’s presence was invoked, the whole short film of various glimpses of my life started playing, just for me to look at the optimistic side of the same incidents that had previously made me sad. A constant vision showed me that Shirdi Sai Baba was carrying me as a baby in his arms like a mother. He has been looking after me since I was born, and he is there always beside me. Tears flowed, and my heart was filled with emotions. Motherly love is always pure, but Baba’s motherly love is the purest of the purest.

During the rest of the Mai-Tri session, I was blessed to have a vision of all the three (Datta, Mother Kali & Baba) in one form: mother Mohanji. He is truly a manifestation of all our prayers, in these times especially. As the session concluded, everybody shared their experiences. But the Mai-Tri energy could be felt continuously later. The more we are receptive to change, the more energy will flow into our system.

Later, while I was doing Consciousness Kriya, I felt a tremendous constant vibration that was unusually strong. So, to be on the safe side, I listened to Mohanji’s Shiva Kavacham for protection. Suddenly, I saw visions of different divine snakes. And I was in a dark room with a huge Shiva linga in front of me. The upper part of this linga was pure bright golden and white moving energy. By the end of the Shiva Kavacham, a snake had left my side and coiled two and a half times around this linga of energy and kept its hood (single) on top of the Shiva linga. I couldn’t open my eyes to leave this beautiful experience.

I attended an interview the following day, which was a scary experience for me (coding and developing). By the end of the technical round, I was offered the job. At that very moment, I felt that Mohanji had held my hands and made me cross the most fearful asteroid belt/barrier – my limiting beliefs.

All of this happened because of: –

• Empowered 1.0 program – made me contemplate on myself and become aware of my internal system

• CGB – helped stir up those heavy, settled, un-noticed things to come up in my system

• Group Mai-Tri – with the divine intervention, cleansed off all that had come up

As Brahma the creator, Mohanji conducted the EMPOWERED program and instilled the knowledge to contemplate on the self. As Vishnu the preserver, Mohanji has provided us with Conscious Gapless Breathing to move up those heavy particles of emotions from the bottom to the surface. As Maheshwara the destroyer, Mohanji, through the Mai-Tri method, is cleansing away our karmic burden.

Isn’t this what the Guru Principle means? Isn’t this what Dattathreya means? Isn’t this what Maa Mohanji has given us in the form of Kalpa Vriksham (the wish-fulfilling tree)?

How can I even thank Mohanji with mere words, who has taken a form and is living this life just for our sake? Datta is Mohanji. Mohanji is Datta.

Mohanji is the mother of all mothers. He is Prema Sai!

The Omnipresence of Mohanji

Whatever the activity – Guru Raksha Homa, meditations or a simple wish, these four testimonials show the unseen hands of Mohanji embracing his devotees with love and compassion.

Experience in Shirdi

Alok Nath, India

It’s my first time in Shirdi. The day after the Kriya initiation, I went to Shirdi Baba temple early morning and felt the lightness when reaching near the samadhi. Then, I attended the group Mai-Tri as part of the retreat, prayed to Mohanji and ancestors, and tried to be present there. Preeti Duggal Ji started the process, saying it was Mohanji who was doing it. After some time, I started to feel vibrations in the right side of my face, cheek, neck and shoulder, where there were already energy blockages from an accident. It went deeper as time progressed; it became so intense, like all toxins were being pulled from my jaw bone and neck. My face was moving towards the right side like someone was walking around and pulling it, and I was resisting it. It became heavier as she said, “Kali Ma is here, Mohanji is here, Sai Baba is here.” My head was already bent down when she said we could bow down to Baba. It was that intense healing; I couldn’t even put my head up; it was totally bent with energy vibrations on the right side. It was very hard for me to open my eyes when the process ended.

In the afternoon meditation session that day, I slept intensely. Q n A sessions with Mohanji gave me more clarity. The next day, it was Power of Purity meditation after the Satsang. It was the best one I have ever done; I could easily follow it deeply. Earlier times, I couldn’t raise my hands in a blessing position, but this time, it was smooth; the energy was totally different.

Then came conscious dancing. I even thought about whether I should attend the event. When the process started, they said Mohanji was there, but I thought it was just an event for fun in the end. I tried not to resist and moved with the flow. Different emotions were rising, and tears started to appear, which she said could happen initially, but I thought it wouldn’t. Dimensions were shifting with grace. It was really hard for me from the heart chakra; I couldn’t talk much when it reached the throat chakra. It clearly showed me the blockage in expressing. When bhajans were on, tears were rolling on their own. Whenever I focussed on the outside, especially through my eyes, I was losing the flow of the process. Then I could hear Preeti Duggal Ji telling all to close our eyes to feel more. Everybody was enjoying in their own ways with Masters’ Grace. Thanks to Devi Ji for designing this session.

The next day, there was a tree plantation, and I left Shirdi with Masters grace to nearby Ankai fort where there is an Agastya temple. Many things are still happening. Even if I don’t understand, I can see how background work is being done from above for all to receive grace. THANKS TO ALL.

Meditation Miracle

Jelena Raičević, Serbia

Jelena shares a testimony of the “Power of Purity” meditation held in Belgrade, Serbia. Many people experienced that Mohanji comes astrally to be with the participants when his meditation is practiced.

First, I felt that Mohanji was standing behind me and that he placed his hand lightly on my shoulder. Then, as my palms rested on my knees while meditating, I felt his palm on my hand. When he let go, I saw that he started walking around the room, tapping/caressing people on the tops of their heads. He came near my friend Sanja, who was also meditating in the room and had never met Mohanji before. He held her hands and gently tapped her head. Then he hugged her. Then he returned to me and held both my hands. His hands were below, and he kept mine above, on his. Somebody told me that this way of holding hands is typical for Mohanji in everyday life, that he often holds his hands in the way described. Later, when we completed the meditation, my friend Sanja asked me, “Hey, did you hold my hand during the meditation?” We were one and a half meters away, so there was no way that I would have been able to reach her. I said I didn’t. She said, “I felt it physically, and also the warmth of the palm on mine.” I responded that it wasn’t me and that I saw Mohanji had come and held her hand. She said, “I felt it was him, but I didn’t want to seem like I’m imagining, so I thought, perhaps it was you.”

Guru Raksha Homa

Mahesh Balerao, Canada

Guru Raksha Homa was performed for three families on Thursday, 29th April 2021. These three families requested to get the Homa performed on their behalf. The families were from India, USA and Canada.

During the Homa session, Mohanji’s energy and presence were observed and captured on the camera. Every time I start a Homa, I always connect with our Guru, Mohanji. At the start of the Homa, chandan smell was experienced and to confirm Mohanji’s presence, a big letter “M” was visible in the Homa fire.

Mohanji, as the fire element, can burn any unwanted, unresolved, past lineage situations/karma and protect the whole family and their lineage. Guru Raksha Homa is very specific for lineage karma situations and unburdens the weight of unresolved situations. Fire is the only one of the five elements that remains pure and burns the negative or unresolved situations.

When the Guru Raksha Homa is performed at the right time and space, Guru Mohanji steps in to resolve family lineage problems. Based on acceptance and only if karmically allowed, the Homa protects the current situation and helps the past seven generations and seven generations in the future. Lineage has karma which is passed on to every generation, and the complicated relationships make it even heavier. Mohanji removes and burns unwanted situations that are causing or creating problems to take the whole lineage towards liberation. Our path and Tradition leads us towards liberation (freedom).

Yesterday, when I was performing the Homa, I observed and realised the same – the burning of unwanted karma. While performing the Homa, I could see and feel the exact situation of a devotee’s house burning and destruction happening. Homa pictures with black, dark smoke represented the same, and at the same time, I heard Mohanji speaking and talking to birds and animals, making them happy and making sure that they were not affected by the fire; he was with the animals and birds in the property site to help them feel comfortable and calmer. Later, the devotee confirmed that the burnt house had the presence of many birds, and a peacock actually came and sat on the rooftop. They have never seen a peacock before in the neighbourhood!

Mohanji’s energy was working in 360 degrees and sucking up the whole negativity sitting there, and then Ganesha appeared from Mohanji’s energy, indicating a positive turn. Ganesha was seen planting the Nagvel – the green leaf we use for puja or any auspicious ceremony. It was a situation where Mohanji blessed the devotee beautifully.

Mohanji then started working on another family. This family has deep-rooted connection with Mohanji over generations. The family is going through relationships problems.

Although their connection to each other was very strong, they were not content in life and had difficulty facing the experiences and facts of life, having doubts and second thoughts when decisions had to be made. Often, the intellect created situations for the family to separate, and their relationships were broken.

Mohanji, as a Guru and our energy source, did cleaning and hovered over the past-life situations to restore friendship and companionship. It was a lack of understanding and not helping each other to understand the soul aspects of relationships. Within Mohanji’s energy, Siddhas confirmed a powerful connection with the family. They performed fire rituals within Mohanji’s energy and discussed the relationship between companion souls, and restoration of relationships happened through Mohanji.

Love and peace were prevalent, and Mohanji’s presence was fully felt in the situation, showering blessings on the children and their future activities.

Surprise Divine Birthday Wish

Bhumika Arvind, Canada

I am writing today to share Mohanji’s limitless kindness and compassion. It was my son’s seventh birthday. A day before, I had contacted Preeti Duggal to find out what to do with Baba’s shawl that I had recently received. She guided me that it’s okay to wrap my son in the shawl for protection and love. On the day of his birthday, the day was going along. I checked my email and was just blown away. There was a birthday card from Mohanji. I couldn’t believe it and stood there staring at it. I rushed to share with everyone at home, especially my son. He was busy playing with his new toys. But when I showed him the card from Mohanji, he paused and looked at it; I still remember that look on his face; he was surprised and curious but at the same time very happy.

I wrote to Preeti di sharing what had transpired and how unexpected but such a beautiful, divine gift and blessing it was. I take her for being such a beautiful tool in Mohanji’s hands. She mentioned it is grace, but she didn’t share anything with Mohanji.

I shared the recent update with my husband. I knew this was Mohanji’s leela, but my husband went on with his detective work. So he tried calling people at the Mohanji Datta Tapovanam Ashram to figure out who may be involved and to express gratitude for this blessing. He ended up with a more puzzled look than when he started his detective work.

Mohanji, it is you and you all the way. There is no way I can pay back your compassion and kindness. And there is no end to your divine play. Mohanji, you keep orchestrating so many leelas simultaneously and fulfilling many devotees’ desires. Your divine play has at times brought solace to me; other times have been a hit on my ego; brought me contentment and peace during distress. And I am deeply grateful for everything that you do; it is only your grace that I am made aware of your leelas, but I feel it in my heart that you do much more behind the scenes that I don’t know and maybe will never know. It will only happen with your grace. I hope that I stay in your consciousness always and forever, Mohanji, no matter what!

Lessons Living with Mohanji – Days 95 & 96

days-95-&-96

Christopher Greenwood

Day 95 Lesson – Set in place what you need to today

Good morning everybody. I hope you’re doing well.

Yesterday was the beginning of the annual Global Summit. (Date was the 14th of February 2021, if this is being listened to later) All the heads of Mohanji platforms, all the individual teams within the Mohanji Foundation – such as the Kriya team, the Sadhana team, and all individual country teams come together in this unifying event. All shared the activities that were completed last year and set the focus, the goals, the orientation, and the objectives for the coming year.

Madhusudan, the CEO of Mohanji Foundation, introduced the day, kicked off the summit (which will last for a few days), set the format, and gave a great overview of the plans for the year. He spoke about our spaces, the Centers of Benevolence (which are coming up), the land in Ganeshpuri – what is happening there, plans, and the intentions of all the elements to be put in place. I’ve shared some of those before., but these will be messages to the world of living in harmony with nature, a safe space where people can come and take part in their practices.

The land in Ganeshpuri is by the river, so there will be bathing Ghats going down to the river. There’ll be a Shiva Linga probably installed for people to worship. There’ll also be a forest with all the animals, beings and the 27 trees associated with 27 stars that are aligned to everybody. (Everybody is connected to a particular tree, animal and bird). When you offer to that tree, it helps your life as well as your lineage.

So, aspects like that will be included in these spaces, locations for practices – such as caves for meditations, halls for yoga, satsangs, and meditations, and a place where food will be served 24/7. It is quite exciting to listen to the progress being made there.

Mohanji reiterated that we can always be looking to do more; what more can we do today to reach the hearts of more people. He reminded us that we have this one life; let’s use our time well, be effective, and live a fulfilling life. This is the theme I wanted to speak about today because Mohanji also had a conversation on the same subject this morning with a close friend (who’s in business and has many plans for the future and various business opportunities coming up).

Mohanji always supports and encourages people, especially if they’re making a living, supporting themselves, and giving stability to others. Mohanji asked him an interesting question; he asked, “This is all good, but how much time do you have on Earth?”

I think that’s quite an impactful question. Whilst, I’ve learned from Mohanji that we should make the most of our time each day, today, there was a new dimension of how Mohanji sees his life. He is always waking up with the question, “What more he can I do?” As we spoke more, he said that he’s very realistic about life – about the reality of life. For example, say he lives maybe up until 80 years, from where he is now that’s probably only 7000 days left. So for him in that respect, each day matters, and each hour probably matters as well.

Mohanji also adds that what’s possible today might not be possible tomorrow. We can’t guarantee that the environment will be the same; we can’t guarantee that the health will be the same. For Mohanji, it’s a hardcore reality that today is the day. Whatever needs to be set and put in place should happen when it can be. Delays can happen; there are things that you can’t control. But putting steps, completing what needs to be done, and setting what needs to be done today, is something which he was reiterating. There’s no time to waste!

What arose for me from that message was not just doing the activity, because he also asked the question, “Are you satisfied? Is there contentment in the activity?” I think that’s important learning, which I’m finding too. More than just doing an activity and taking steps to move things forward, am I also putting what needs to be done in place today? Ask (ourselves) if there is satisfaction, contentment and fulfilment in every activity.

I’m learning that as important as the activity is, it is also the attitude that matters. It is important to set an attitude in place each day because if there’s criticizing, complaining, judging, being angry, frustrations, it’s probably not worth it. With every day being important, there’s no time to waste. There’s also no reason for activity and life not to be fulfilling. It was another depth to his message to use time well, not to waste any time and to be extraordinarily realistic, that today is the only moment that we have, so to set in place whatever we need to today.

Yesterday was another example of how quickly Mohanji works and how swiftly he puts things in place. We had a request for a call with Mohanji from some doctors, introduced by a friend, and they wanted to contribute towards some of the activities. So late last evening, after the event was over, I arranged the call. They had a good talk. It was in Malayalam, so I couldn’t understand much. After it finished, Mohanji just asked me to put them in touch with one of the ladies, Savithri, running the animal care activities in Shirdi.

I shared the number and connection, and they had a phone call/conversation within minutes. It all happened in the space of 20 minutes. What transpired in that 20 minutes is that – they had been looking for a doctor or a series of doctors for a long time in Shirdi (they desperately needed them). It so happened that these were the exact type of doctors they needed; thus, they came together and made an agreement within 20 minutes. It was organized in such a way that what they had been looking for, for some time, came about. Mohanji put it in motion and set it in place.

I hope you have a great day ahead and will speak to you all soon.

Day 96 Lesson – Being there for people

Good morning everybody. I hope you’re doing well.

This year’s theme for 2021 is flexibility, stability, and friendship. I thought today it would be good to share a conversation I had with Mohanji yesterday morning. For me, it summed up very nicely, a lesson that I’ve learned since being with Mohanji, which is we can always be there for people, and we can always stand by people. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to take on everything they’re going through, their situations, problems, or troubles. We can keep a nice healthy boundary so that we’re still there for them, but we don’t take on all their trash too.

I found that this in the past, and even now, is important for my stability because I’d become very involved in someone else’s troubles trying to help, especially if we want to look out for people and help them. I thought this was a good message to share and something that can bring stability and help build great friendships.

These aren’t the exact words, but this was the general message. Mohanji said that sometimes in life, we really won’t know the value of something until it’s gone, and once it’s lost, we regret it. Like everything in our lives, there’s a formation stage, an appearance stage, and then a dissolution stage. For every event in life, there’s a history, a cause, which can be internal or external.

Internal comes from what we’ve collected over lifetimes, and through this life, maybe like prejudices, bad memories, hatreds. External can be something like, if we didn’t like the first impression of someone, then we take that, and it can cause us to take on something and a situation to occur later.

When we think that every situation has its cause and it’s probably personal to the person as well, whether internal or external, we can recognize then that every situation and everybody is unique. So, it’s quite impossible to know the true cause of a situation somebody is going through.

I shared this message with the help desk and the engagement team, who deal with people daily. It’s important that when we speak with people and counsel them, the utmost that we could probably do is to strengthen them. For those suffering, we can strengthen that side, and that’s probably only a real possibility sometimes.

When somebody says there’s a problem or a situation, what can we really do? We’ll never know the full reality of how that occurred, or we don’t know the cause. Hence, the most practical thing is probably to stand in solidarity with that person. What’s good about that is we don’t have to accept their version of a situation or problem or trouble. That’s theirs to take. We don’t have the whole picture, but what we can say is, “Okay, this has happened. And I’m here, and we can walk together now.” Thus, we don’t have to let people put all the burden onto us, but we can stand, strengthen and stabilize.

Mohanji also said at the end of the conversation that the easiest way to solve a problem, especially relationship problems, is by loving and letting go of the past, accepting weaknesses, forgiving and forgetting. Nobody is perfect, and we can’t truly love another unless we accept all imperfections.

That was a nice message which he gave yesterday morning. I hope you have a great day ahead, and I shall speak to you soon.

Kriya initiation – a rebirth

kriya-initiation

By Shobha Thorve, India

During one of our Kriya sessions, I got the news that Mohanji was going to initiate us on 17th Dec 2021; I could not contain my excitement and happiness. Since that day itself (which was around 21 days prior), daily, I was waiting for the day of Kriya initiation. The day was supposed to be the one when I would have met Mohanji for the first time (me being a new baby in Mohanji’s family since November only), and day and night, I was fully engrossed in Mohanji’s thoughts only.

Finally, the day arrived, and we left from Mumbai to Shirdi for the program. The moment I stepped into Shirdi, I started feeling Mohanji’s beautiful and soft energy a lot wherever I was, the hotel, the neem tree and the venue for initiation. After the Kriya session conducted by Jyotirmayi ma’am, my eyes were completely glued on to him when I saw Mohanji for the first time. His childlike innocence, simplicity in words and speech were all so endearing. It was the epitome of unconditional love and compassion sitting in front of us.

With bated breath, I waited for my turn for Kriya initiation. I saw such beautiful expressions of the Kriya initiates as some were utterly silent, some emotional and all of them just completely in gratitude towards Mohanji. When I stepped in front of Mohanji, my heart was beating very fast, and I kneeled in front of Mohanji (also feeling Datta and Vittal Baba himself), surrendering myself completely. I could feel the divine touch of Mohanji’s fingertips on my forehead, which changed my entire existence, my inner configuration. The energy which he transferred to me was something that my physical body couldn’t take up, and for some 5 minutes, I was into a completely different realm.

When I opened my eyes looking at Mohanji, Shobha was no more there. I just felt my breath moving in my chest, my heartbeat, every atom of my body, the prana flowing in me, my mind, my ego, my intellect, all my five koshas; just everything belonged to Mohanji. I was just relishing the ecstasy of the new birth with Mohanji’s divine touch. That was the end of me as an individual and what just remained was the pure love of Mohanji in me. I was just sitting quietly, not feeling like talking to anyone and just being in the beautiful presence of Mohanji.

I saw how with so much love and kindness, Mohanji received everyone that evening, blessing them very much with his grace and love. I have never seen such a Guru in my life. I had read/heard of Guru Dattatreya through his incarnations like Sripada Srivallabh, Swami Samarth, and Sai Baba, who gave himself completely to us. He was just selfless and unconditional love. I saw that Mohanji was also unconditional love personified, innocence personified, compassion personified, humility personified, simplicity personified, and personification of all the possible adjectives one can find in the English/Sanskrit/Hindi dictionaries or a dictionary of any other language.

Mohanji’s presence, words, energy, love and expressions filled me with the grace of Datta himself. The only words that echoed in my heart were gratitude towards Datta for blessing me and all present there with his grace. Mohanji warmly and lovingly accepted the quilling portrait, which he made possible with his guidance through me. His blessings, words and love are something that has made a house in my heart forever.

This was the most beautiful day of my life, which I don’t know for how many lifetimes I had waited for; to be with my Guru, be with Gurudev Datta himself, and receive the promise that he will be there with us for lifetimes.

My search for eternal happiness, eternal contentment ended at Mohanji’s feet. In Shirdi with the Kriya initiation, Shobha was left behind, and the one who returned back was the daughter of Mohanji, who is madly, deeply in love with him. My heart yearns only to do his seva by living his teachings and serving everyone around, considering him in all of them.

Now, whenever I step outside and feel the energy of the sun, coolness of the moon, the air, water etc., I feel it’s Mohanji’s love all around. Life has become so beautiful and filled with his love now. I just can’t stop thanking Mohanji for accepting me for who I am, loving me, receiving me, and making me his own (Mohanmayi as I refer to myself now).

Thank you to all the people in the Mohanji family for enabling this beautiful transition. I couldn’t have asked for more in life.

The lock is broken

By Arun Vathavooran, UK

I have had some knee discomfort for at least nine years now. I remember the first time I discovered it; I had an issue in the knee around Maha Shivaratri time in 2012. It started with mild pain on my right knee, which I initially thought my body’s response for keeping awake all night for Shivaratri, but it lasted for a while. I saw my GP (Family Doctor) and was told that I had anterior knee syndrome and was recommended to rest. I took their advice and rested; it helped, but the discomfort didn’t disappear. I learnt to live with it; in general, it was OK unless I did a long stretch of walk or heavy lifting.

I went on a holiday with my family to Sri Lanka in 2013. While there, I managed to get an appointment with an orthopaedic consultant to check my knee. The doctor examined my knees and said, “I think you are lining up for surgery, but I would suggest delaying it as much as possible. You seem well and healthy in your thirties, so it is in your hands to look after your knees by being extra careful and not straining the knees.” I took his advice and tried my best to avoid strenuous activities to the knees.

In 2016, I had the blessed opportunity to undertake the Kailash Parikrama with Mohanji, and then the thought about the doctor’s advice came to my mind. Somehow, I managed to discard that thought and joined the pilgrimage with Mohanji. I have to say; I completed the outer kora Parikrama by walking more than 80% of the 52km trek. There is no doubt this was made possible only through the pure grace of Mohanji. My deep connection to Mohanji formed, and I got busy with my life and serving the world.

In 2019, I became a Mohanji Acharya. I attended a nine-day intensive training with Mohanji in Serbia with another 49 members from the Mohanji Family. At the end of the training, Mohanji blessed each of us with a very special and sacred Rudraksha Mala, which was energised in a very particular way. All the Acharyas keep that Mala as our most precious procession and wear it while performing as an Acharya, serving the world. Mohanji advised us to dip the Mala in sesame oil for a specific duration of time before using it. As per Mohanji’s guidance, I had dipped the Mala in sesame oil overnight and then washed and started wearing it. After that, I have used that oil to apply on the body but kept some leftover oil in a small container.

Last year (2020), my friend Vignesh Anna was doing a distance Mai-Tri session for me for some other reason. After the session, he mentioned that there was some fluid collected in my right knee joint, and I should go and see my doctor and check it out. At that time, I didn’t have any symptoms. Further, getting an appointment with a GP was also not so easy those days due to the peak of the pandemic. Time went o few months, around December 2020, I developed severe pain in my right knee. As usual, with the attitude of acceptance and surrender, I ignored it and continued with daily life. However, the pain increased within a few weeks to the extent that I couldn’t sit cross-legged on the floor to do my Kriya practice and other regular sadhanas.

One of the days in the 1st week of January, early in the morning, I received telepathic guidance from Mohanji during my Kriya practice. The guidance was to take some turmeric tablets as medicine for knee issues. I immediately ordered some turmeric tablets and started taking them the following day. In the meantime, the pain increased day by day, and I found it is very painful to walk around the house to do my basic tasks. It took a lot of time to get up from the bed and get moving around. However, I managed to do all that to the best of my ability. I also decided to seek medical advice and managed to get an appointment with my GP.

Arun with Mohanji – Acharya training Serbia

After a short examination, the GP ordered an X-ray and mentioned to me that I had some damage to the knee cartilage. She referred me to see an orthopaedic consultant surgeon for further diagnosis and treatment. I managed to book an appointment with a leading consultant who specialises in knees within a short period of time. The consultant examined my knees and explained that he suspects cartilage damage and a cyst formation as a result of that within the knee joint itself. He seemed very confident but recommended an MRI scan to confirm the diagnosis. He further said, most likely, we would have to do keyhole surgery to remove the cyst and fluid. He further said that he could also fix some aspects of the cartilage at the same time as well.

In the meantime, I was recording a video for Mohanji Tamil Facebook page with other Tamil Mohanji Acharyas and volunteers. Everyone knew that I normally sit cross-legged on the floor for such recordings. However, I was sitting in a chair this time. This was very unusual, so I had to mention about my knee issues. My Acharya sister Sathya messaged me after the program recommending me to apply some of the sesame oil that I had used to dip the Acharya mala (that oil become energised and demonstrates healing properties). I took her words as Mohanji’s guidance and applied it immediately. I continued to apply it to my knee every night for a while.

During these days, I had a call with Acharya sister Subhasree regarding some organisational matters. I mentioned my knee during the call, and she said she would do Mai-Tri for me that night. The next day she messaged me, saying, “I had completed Mai-Tri last night; Mohanji said to drop all your fears”. I was a bit surprised because I was not aware of any fears. I used to have many fears, but I have lost all of them in the past five years, one by one since meeting Mohanji. I am aware that fears can stay in the causal layer and surface when things are right for them to manifest. However, we won’t be able to recognise them until they surface up. As we move on the spiritual path, our Master will make sure that all such fears would surface so that we can face them and eventually drop them forever and progress in the path of liberation. Now my problem was how to face it without knowing what the fear was. I thought the only thing that I could do was surrender it to Mohanji. I hadn’t mentioned this to anybody but surrendered to Mohanji in front of his picture in my home shrine. I said to Mohanji, Father, I accept that I have some fear within me that I am not aware of, I surrender it to you; please do the needful for me to progress on my path.”

Then, I spoke to Subhasree to get more clarity. She said that it seemed like the fear of something was binding me like a chain to my right leg, which was the source of the problem. She also said that this was definitely from my past lives and advised me to surrender to Mohanji. Further, she has recommended that Mohanji’s “Connect to yourself” process could help me to drop my fears. I immediately joined the special Acharya program conducted for Mohanji’s birthday and took part in the process. I felt some deep relief and the feeling of something leaving me during the process and the next day.

After a few days, I spoke to my Acharya sister Moushumi about something else and casually mentioned that I had knee pain (I didn’t say anything about the background). She said she will do a Mai-Tri for me and did on the following day. After a few days, I received a message from her saying, “Anna, I was doing Mai-Tri for another person but received some guidance from Mohanji to do Mai-Tri for your knees, so I have done a session even without asking you. I felt that there was some block at the start, but a big chain and a lock that was binding your knee were broken towards the end. Now there are some wounds after having a chain there for a long time. But I feel you will feel better soon.” I replied, thanking her but did not have an opportunity to speak in detail.

In the meantime, I completed my MRI scan and waited for a follow-up appointment with the consultant. I continued to take turmeric tablets and applied energised sesame oil to the knee as well. In a few days’ time, I felt some improvement in the knee; I felt that I could walk without much pain but sitting on the floor was still difficult. I received a letter from the hospital that my consultant appointment was scheduled for 11th March (Maha Shivaratri day). They suggested that I elect to have a telephone appointment since this was a follow-up and a physical examination was not necessary (In a medical secretary’s view, it was an appointment to confirm a routine surgery and fix a date for the operation and discuss pre-operative tests).

I have decided not to stay awake all night for Maha Shivaratri this year because I couldn’t sit on the floor. However, the day before Shivaratri, I received a message from my friend and Acharya brother Rajesh Kamath asking me to join the Homa that Mohanji was going to initiate for Shivaratri. His message said, “Please join the Homa if you can; Mohanji is doing it after a long time. It is a big blessing. The last he did was in 2019 July in Kailash. These moments are rare and don’t come often. That’s why I am pushing all the close people I know to join.” I took this as Mohanji’s guidance and decided to join the Homa.

I decided to sit on the floor cross-legged as long as I could. I was so determined that I should sit on the floor at least until Mohanji was performing the Homa (For me, sitting in a chair while Mohanji performing the Homa was unacceptable). As per the instructions, I joined early and looked forward to the Homa. Quite unexpectedly, Acharya sister Subhasree called my name to start the chanting until Mohanji initiated the Homa. This was an unexpected treat because I had the blessed opportunity to lead the chanting of my favourite mantra, “Aum Hreem Aum Nama Shivaya,” on Maha Sivarathtri day.

As usual, Mohanji joined promptly on time and initiated the Homa at 1:30 pm UK time as planned. I had made an intention (Sankalpa), saying, “With the grace of Mohanji, the fear that is binding me and any other unwanted things that I carry, be burned to ashes in this Homa fire.” Then I closed my eyes and sat there in front of the Homa (by zoom) connecting to Mohanji.

After a while, my phone rang, and I realised that my consultant was calling. I answered the phone, and it was indeed him. He asked about my pain, and I said it was much better, but still there. Then he said, “To my surprise, no abnormalities were found in your MRI. Your cartilage, ligaments and everything looks perfectly normal apart from minor wear and tear at the end of a muscle outside the knee cap, this is expected for your age, and I don’t think we need to do anything else unless you are in severe pain. Even if you have pain, I would rather recommend some pain management rather than surgery.” I replied that the pain has substantially reduced, and I was happy to leave it as it is. I asked him if I have to wear a knee strap or anything to support, but he said, “No, you don’t need anything as such. Your knees looking absolutely normal; carry on with everything as usual, unless you develop any pain.” After thanking him, I ended the call and went back to the Homa.

Looking back now, I realise I had sat cross-legged for almost 15 to 16 hours (1 pm to 6 pm next morning with minor breaks for stretching, refreshments etc.). I didn’t have any pain at all! I have started to do everything as usual from that point onwards. I am writing this after a week from Shivaratri, but I have no complaints about my knees.

In summary, Mohanji has healed me by breaking the chain of fear that I was not aware of. I have to say that the beauty of the gift from Mohanji (Mai-Tri Method) is that it goes into the causal layer and removes the impressions at the seed level, even before they manifest as an ailment. Also, looking at my connection to Mohanji – I connect to him as my Guru (remover of ignorance), but he plays many roles in my life at various times. To name a few, a father (correcting mistakes when needed), teacher (imparting knowledge), protector (sending messages about upcoming health issues for prevention),  guide (giving guidance at crucial moments in life), friend (laughing out loud together when there is an opportunity), healer (through many Mai-Tri practitioners), doctor (giving a prescription to get turmeric tablets), therapist (suggesting therapeutic massage with energised sesame oil), dietitian (giving dietary advise through many channels when needed) and so on. It is important to note that he fulfills everything through various instruments and also direct telepathic messages. I surrender my thoughts, words and actions at his holy feet.

Lessons Living with Mohanji – Day 10

Day 10 Lesson – Importance of Vision & Mohanji Temples of Benevolence

by Christopher Greenwood

Yesterday when we were looking at the platform dashboard that I shared a few days ago, Mohanji reminded me of the importance of having a clear vision because, without it, we lack direction. He said that if we want to achieve something in life or to carve our place in the world, we must have a vision. And this needs to come with goals and timelines.

He then said that probably people don’t know of his vision, especially for the temples and the centers of benevolence. It is a grand vision, and I share the high-level picture today.

Good morning. I hope this message reaches you well. Today, I wanted to share with you a conversation I had with Mohanji about his vision. This came from a discussion that one needs to have a vision, goals, and a timeline if one wants to achieve anything in life. Having a vision is crucial, he was saying, because you’re essentially fumbling in the dark, walking around, or bumping into walls without it. So a vision gives you the destination, which makes it much easier to carve a road ahead.

And this discussion came from looking at the dashboard to see where we could strengthen the vision. So the vision is very important: what does that end result look like? How does it feel? How are people interacting? What are people saying? How does it smell, taste, touch, and who is benefited? So anything can be included in a vision. And the clearer the picture, the easier it is to reach that.

I think Mohanji said that we might not reach the exact destination, which is where flexibility becomes important. But at least if we have somewhere that we’re aiming for, we’ll roughly get there, and we can always adjust it.

He then said that he’s not even sure that people know his vision at the moment. So he then shared his vision for the temples and the centers of benevolence, which is really exciting. And I want to share that vision with you now. The 23rd of October was a game-changer for the Mohanji foundation activities – a really big day for those who don’t know. That day, Mohanji registered 15 acres of land in Ganeshpuri. It was a Herculean effort to get this done in the pandemic situation with Madhu and Bharath and the rest of the team. And everything went incredibly smoothly. Even the chief priest from Shirdi made a surprise visit to see Mohanji in Bombay, and he brought him gifts from Shirdi – soil from Shirdi and udi from Shirdi. It was pretty much a blessing from Sai Baba for the activity. The registration itself took maybe 10 minutes in this local small-time registration office. Everybody was surprised because usually the office is packed, and there was no one there but us. It can normally take anything up to four hours, but this happened in just 10 minutes. The placing of the soil from Shirdi and the udi concluded in the last moments of the most auspicious time of the day. So, it was absolute grace.

And this won’t just be a space; it won’t just be an ashram or a temple – it’s going to be a message to the world of the teachings of the Tradition. I want to share that vision with you of what this space will look like. On the grounds, this area itself has one main bank which borders a river and very natural land. So there’ll be a forest area built, and this forest will have 27 types of trees representing the 27 stars in the Vedic teachings that say that everybody is associated with a star. So worshipping a tree with that star connection brings benefits to the person. People will be able to go into the forest, walk around and give offerings. Then there’ll be the rishis and the munis in that forest sitting beneath the trees, alongside Dattatreya. So everything will be in nature. And all the animals will be there; all the small beings such as the rabbits, the mice, the birds, and obviously, the larger beings – all roaming free in nature. So, really a balanced ecology. There’ll be a pond; there’ll be fishes and turtles; there’ll be a river so people can feed animals throughout the location, so everything is in balance. Then there’ll be regular homas conducted, and Mohanji will have his personal dhuni. So the whole space will represent all the elements.

Now the vision for the river that borders the land is to have banks built to stop the flooding; so caves can be made inside them for meditation. And people will be able to book a place, and if they wanted to meditate there even for 24 hours, food would be brought for them. And in one cave would be a space for maybe ten people, and there’ll be an idol of Babaji in the centre. So people can go in there and meditate, do Kriya and anything like that. There’ll be spaces for silence, and people who are observing silence will have a badge that says they are in silence. And the grounds will be zoned very well. On the riverside again, there’ll be ghats which go down to the river where people can take a bath, and a Shiva Linga will also be installed, so people can take water from the river and perform abhishekam.

And from the outside, there’ll be a place where people can access the main temples. So they won’t necessarily need to go into the full compound, but people will be able to come to the temples. There will be Shirdi Sai Baba there, a regular place for the homa, and it will be separate from the main area. And there’ll be a hall, the space for regular yoga activities, meditation, and all of the Mohanji processes. So all the activities will be completely covered for the practices for people’s higher elevation and connection.

Then there’s the benevolence aspect. Food will be available 24/7 with three main meals a day, and outside those times, this really delicious potato-type sandwich (vada-paav), will be served. So nobody leaves there with a hungry belly, and all the food will be vegan, completely vegan. Clothing will also be provided, branded with the temple name, so people can see where they’ve come from. And if possible, there’ll be medical care there too, but that can be more complex to arrange. Regarding education, there will be a space for children with Mohanji Ka Aangan.

And people will be able to stay if they’re passing by, for a maximum of two nights, unless staying for a longer program. For the family members – Mohanji has made this really well because he really wants to respect all those that have contributed consistently to the platforms. So a community card will be launched, and people that have a status on this will have access to accommodation and maybe have preferred access based on their contributions.

So it will be a complete space for stability and higher elevation. Now that will become the standard; a message of what we represent, what the Foundation represents, and what Mohanji represents, and then that will be taken to every corner of the world. So in countries and cities, there’ll be a Temple of Benevolence and where there’s no space for a forest or the temple, it will be a Center of Benevolence. It almost becomes a recognized brand so that no matter where you go in the world, when you see it, you’ll know what you’re getting – there’ll be a standard for the practices and for everything else. For example, when you go anywhere in the world, you know if you go into one of these, you’ll get a great vada-paav.

So this is the vision that he was talking about, which is coming to life now – a grand vision that sounds really exciting. And it’s actually happening now. Work is progressing, planning’s on the way, and more land is coming, and things are moving. It’s all about developing assets at the moment, and there’s a lot of work to do. And, of course, anyone that wants to help is welcome. Have a great day ahead.

Compassion Unlimited!

By Subhasree Thottungal, UK

Being with Mohanji, one thing I have realised over time is that we never need to ask anything, we never need to tell him anything. He feels our thoughts, responds appropriately, and he even fulfils our desires too.

In this write-up, I am going to express a few such experiences which made me wonder how compassionately Mohanji fulfilled my wishes and above all how he removed my pain and probably took it on himself! It may sound difficult to believe unless you really see with your own eyes. In today’s logical world, does this really happen? I would probably have not believed if this didn’t happen to me directly. One thing for sure, with Mohanji, nothing ever is a co-incidence!

So here it goes.

Sometime back in 2018, I think Mohanji had travelled to Mookambika (Kollur in Karnataka) and there were photos of him in FB. When I had seen those photos, I had a thought at that time that may be one day I should go to Mookambika with Mohanji. That desire remained there.

In 2019, around Sep/Oct, a Kriya Intensive retreat was announced in Mookamika for December 2019. I was thrilled to hear this and thought that I would go for that. But soon, I realised the dates were such that I wouldn’t be able to make it because I was going to the Philippines for an Acharya Program for about a week and I would just be returning around this time. The visit to the Philippines was on Mohanji’s advise, and so that couldn’t be compromised. I had accepted the fact that I won’t be able to attend the Kriya intensive and will miss going to Mookambika with Mohanji.

Anyway, the days went by. My Philippines trip was completed. After that, a few days of holidays with my in-laws and parents were over too, and it was time to return to London at the beginning of Jan 2020. I knew Mohanji was in Bangalore and since my return flight to London was from Bangalore, I thought of checking with Mohanji if I could meet him. I messaged him, and he said I could come and meet him, but he is not in Bangalore. He was in isolation and at Mookambika. But he welcomed me to come and meet him there and asked me to check with Preeti didi regarding the travel details. I was speechless! Mohanji had called me to visit him in Mookambika!

I instantly understood and realised that Mohanji was fulfilling my desire of visiting Mookmbika with him, which I missed earlier because I had to go to the Philippines! My heart truly expanded with gratitude. Anyway, I travelled as Preeti didi kindly made all the necessary arrangements. Those days, I had immense pain in my feet, my Rheumatoid Arthritis pain in my feet had flared up just before the visit to the Philippines. During this whole trip, the pain was intense, and I was limping.

Anyway, I reached Mookmabika. Rajesh Kamath and another devotee who was accompanying Mohanji received me. When I met Mohanji, he noticed me limping and asked me about it. I just brushed it aside. I was too happy just seeing Mohanji.

Mohanji said, early next morning, before 5 am, we will be going to the temple and to stand in the queue to have the “Nirmalya Darshan” – the first view of Mother Goddess. Every moment with Mohanji is so special. We were ready by 4:30 am and walked barefooted to the temple and stood outside, waiting for the door to open. Mohanji was behaving just like any other ordinary visitor, waiting at the side, very humbly. A Master of his stature to wait outside the temple patiently was giving us the teaching of pure humility, no ego, no demand of comfort!

While I was standing by his side, he suddenly called me and taught me a breathing exercise. While receiving this diksha from my Guru standing in front of Mother’s temple, I even had no sense to feel good about it… mind, ego and pride had evaporated at that time, and it was only bliss. The bliss of receiving Guru’s grace!

Soon the temple door opened and we went inside. I was behind Mohanji. When we all stood at the front in the queue, Mohanji asked me to come in front of him and stand. I felt a little awkward to stand in front of Mohanji. But he made sure that I stood right in front to see Mother and the rituals clearly without any obstruction! I had a special prayer to make. (I will write about it on a later date) When the ritual was going on, I made this prayer, being fully aware that my Guru is standing behind me with his grace engulfing me totally. Suddenly as I opened my eyes, I saw a flower from Mother’s head had dropped. We believe that the flower dropping from the head of the idol is a symbol that God has accepted our prayer!

I immediately turned around, trying to look at Mohanji, and he had a smile on his face! While the ritual of this early morning was happening, Mohanji was narrating to me all the details of the ritual. Just like a father or mother would explain to their child for the first time. He ensured that I had a clear view too. After the rituals, Mohanji went to the side of the temple, and there was a special veranda where people usually sit and do prayers. This is where Adi Shankaracharya’s temple is also present. Mohanji went and sat directly opposite, facing Adi Shankaracharya’s temple. Rajesh went and sat nearby.

I was walking slowly, limping and was about to sit a little far away from Mohanji, not wanting to disturb him, as he had his eyes closed. Mohanji opened his eyes and called me to sit next to him, gesturing with his hands to the space on his left side. As I sat next to him, it was as if I had entered into a high energy zone. I thought of doing Kriya there. Mohanji then reminded me to do the breathing exercise he had taught me while standing outside, to do it just before I do any sadhana. For me, it was already a big deal that Mohanji opened his eyes, called me to sit and was now giving direction to intensify my sadhana. He was not worried about his sadhana; he was guiding me instead! A true Guru he is, truly there every moment to guide us! I did as he guided and then did Kriya.

During Kriya that time, I had a feeling of floating; my bottom couldn’t feel the cool hard stone surface any more… I was truly levitating with the power of that energy sphere that I was inside, being right next to Mohanji. This Kriya experience was probably a once in a lifetime experience. (Well every meeting, every moment I am with Mohanji, I take it as once in a lifetime moment!) I am sure my words are nowhere near doing justice to what I had experienced that time. I was not even able to feel my breath, heartbeat or any vibration in the body…. just simply floating.

When I finished Kriya, I opened my eyes, Mohanji was sitting very calmly. I wanted to capture that moment, especially the view that I had in front of my eyes, seeing Adi Shankara at one end of the veranda and Mohanji at this end, both facing each other! I took out my phone quietly and clicked a few pics. (though we are not supposed to). Mohanji told me to be careful, as the previous day, the camera of a devotee was taken away.

I was sitting and just noticing other devotees in the temple. Everyone was touching their head at the outside wall of the main temple and was writing something with their fingers. I was just thinking about what they were doing, and Mohanji said at that time, people write their wishes there on the wall. I nodded my head. Then he told me to go there and write and ask Mother to remove the pain from my feet. I was probably a bit hesitant to get up and go, and moreover, I feel when I am with Mohanji, why do I need to pray for anything for myself, he knows what is needed.

Then Mohanji insisted again, “Go and ask Mother to remove your pain and make you fit. You have a lot of work to do.” These were not mere words; this was a command for me. I got up and limped to that place and did as Mohanji had instructed. And then came back and sat next to Mohanji again. We sat there for a couple of hours almost till the aarati happens. While we were sitting, an old lady came. In the last few days of Mohanji’s regular visits and sitting at the same place, they had got to know each other, and so she comes and talks to Mohanji in their language – Malayalam.

That day when she saw me, Mohanji first introduced me to her in their language as his ‘shishya’ which means ‘disciple’. For me to hear this word directly from Mohanji, in front of Adi Shankara, inside this pious temple, was a great thing. I can be his follower, I can be his devotee, but to be my Guru’s disciple is a lifetime honour itself! Then he requested the lady to help me go and see the aarati properly right in the front again.

Mohanji was not going there, but he ensured that we were taken care of and had a proper darshan. Before going out, we did the parikrama around the temple visiting all the other small temples of other deities, and Mohanji continued to talk to me about each one. He even instructed Rajesh to get two lamps for me and showed me where to light it, where to show it and where to place those lamps! Honestly, I was a 5-year-old girl at that time, and my father was showing me around everything with so much care and compassion. I was still floating!

I stayed one more day in Mookambika and those two days watching Mohanji being in a sadhana mode; I felt it was my punya from many lifetimes! I returned back to London with the determination that I would meet Mohanji again in a few weeks for the Global Summit and Mohanji’s birthday celebration in Sri Lanka.

At the end of January, it was the inauguration of the land in Arunachala – a home for seniors. I heard from some people who met Mohanji at that time that he had terrible pain in his feet and was limping. A few weeks later, during the 3rd week of February, we all travelled to Sri Lanka. When I reached the hotel, and after some time, I got the chance to meet Mohanji in his room. And what I saw made me go numb. His left foot was very swollen, and he was in pain.

It didn’t take me a moment to realise what had happened since January first week when I was limping in front of him with swelling and pain in my left foot, and now I was walking fine, but he had swelling and pain in his left foot. I am insignificant here. What is significant is his compassion. He had transferred my pain, making me fit! His words in Mookmbika temple were ringing in my ears, “Tell Mother to make you fit. You have a lot of work to do.”

After the Global Summit, on this birthday morning, we all went to Kataragama temple. While walking around the temple, Mohanji was limping. Even though he had pain, nothing was shown on his face; he was laughing and talking with everyone. Inside the temple, on the sandy ground, he was walking barefooted and was limping. At that point, I couldn’t stop my emotion anymore. My heart was crying out. When I got the chance, I expressed to him, “Mohanji, please give back my pain to me. I can’t see you like this.” He smiled and said, “How do you know it’s only yours? You can’t bear what I can. I may have some pain in the body, but I have no suffering.”

It was the responsibility of a mother who would bear all the pain for the child but will never make it visible to the child. Mohanji doesn’t need any credit for what he does for us. His only aim is to free us from our pain and suffering without making it a big deal in front of us. He does his job quietly. On one side, I was so grateful to him to have removed my pain and making me fit, but on another side, I was sad to see him in that pain.

One evening while we were in some discussion during the global meet, Barbara called me to say Mohanji had called me. That evening Mohanji was not feeling well. When I went to his room, he was resting. When I went near to him, he opened his palm and showed me a thread that he was holding. It was a part of his janeyu (the sacred thread that he wears around his neck and chest). He said while he was laying there his hand on his chest, half of the janeyu just came in his hand, he doesn’t know how. He still has the janeyu around his chest. He gave me that sacred thread in my hand and told me to keep it.

It was no less than a miracle, that while he was sleeping, a few layers of the sacred thread came in his hand just like that! I didn’t use my mind to analyse this or to understand this. For me, it was my Guru’s blessings, his protection, in the form of the sacred thread, protection that had materialised in his hand! Without any delay, he had called me and given it to me, which meant he knew I needed protection at that time. We have no clue what dangers he protects us and saves us from, some we see, some we don’t see and some we see but don’t realise. His subtle way of working is beyond the understanding of my limited thinking.

The only thing that I know very well by now is that his compassion, his love is beyond any limit, beyond any boundary. Truly for me, Mohanji is compassion incarnate, showering his grace and love unconditionally beyond any form or relation.  My heartfelt gratitude, my hug and love from this tiny heart goes to where my Guru lives. Not too far away, but right here, at the centre of my heart. I love you Mohanji. Koti Pranams.

Grace through Guru Raksha Homa

mohanji eyes closed

The power of the Guru Raksha Homa and Guru’s divine grace and presence is very evident in the true story shared below. Pranjal’s father, who is also Smrithi’s brother-in-law, was recently taken ill, and they both share their thoughts and experiences during this difficult time.

By Pranjal Mathur, Canada

I came to know about Mohanji through my Aunt around 1.5 years ago. My experiences started with Mohanji early this year when my wife and I were going through mental turmoil about our immigration status in the U.S. and Canada. My Aunt asked for help from Mohanji, and he approved Guru Raksha Homa (GRH) to be performed by Bhalerao ji. After the homa, my wife and I started feeling calm and handled the interviews very confidently, and as a result, immigration processes went very smoothly.

In March, my wife and I decided to visit our parents in India, but suddenly the Covid-19 situation started becoming worse throughout the world, and major airlines started cancelling international flights. While I had a shorter visit planned, my wife had plans to stay for another week with her parents. She felt that she had divine guidance which convinced her to book tickets for an earlier date. PM Modi shut down the entire country which included international travel, the very next day of her departure.

In October, my parents got infected by Covid-19, and my father had to be hospitalized for more than two weeks. Once again, we sought Mohanji’s help, he directed all of us to feed birds and wild animals, and he also approved the Guru Raksha Homa for my father’s recovery. The homa was performed by Bhalerao ji on Thursday, and my father tested negative on Sunday.

While Bhalerao ji was performing the homa, he got a message that I should donate food items to a food bank on Sharad Poornima (the most significant full-moon day in the year according to the Hindu calendar). I bought some canned food and donated, but I still had the urge to contribute more and felt that I had not donated enough. Mohanji read my intentions, and when I went to another store to buy seeds for birds, during the billing, the cashier asked me if I wanted to donate to the Kids Hunger Program and my answer was an instant yes. It felt like Mohanji gave me another opportunity within minutes.

In the same week, my mother had to offer water-filled coconut to the Gods for my father’s recovery, but getting coconuts is difficult in U.P. (Uttar Pradesh), especially during Covid-19 times. Once again, Mohanji read my mother’s mind, and out of nowhere, a person came to the house selling coconuts, just the kind she was looking for!

During the time in the hospital, when my father was meditating, he felt that two saints came to his bedside and started removing negative energies from his body. After a few days, my father began showing signs of recovery and finally tested negative for Covid-19.

We have not met Mohanji in person, but we feel he is always watching over us as a father and keeping us safe.

By Smrithi Mathur, Australia

Dear family, I want to share a beautiful incident which happened because of Mohanji’s grace and the Guru Raksha Homa. I have a cousin sister who lives in Shahjahanpur near Bareilly in the U.P. state of India. On 15th October, her husband, a doctor, tested positive for Covid-19. He had severe symptoms, bad cough and the lungs had patches with pneumonia. He had to be immediately shifted to Lucknow for hospitalization. Obviously, it was a very stressful situation. Both my sister and her husband are spiritually oriented and are Kriya initiates from YSS/SRF of Paramhansa Yogananda. Recently my sister was connecting to Mohanji through his teachings.

I wrote to Mohanji to seek his blessings and guidance in this crisis situation. What followed was only grace, grace and grace. Mohanji had asked to do certain offerings to Sai Baba in a local temple and if that was not possible, then in Mohanji Datta Tapovan Ashram in Canada. My sister decided to do both. Surprisingly, her son who lives in the U.S. was already considering contacting Mahesh Bhalerao for his help in this situation, and Mohanji telling the same was like joining two dots and also proving the omniscience of Mohanji. One of the items of offerings was coconut. Finding fresh coconuts in U.P. and that too during Covid times is a rarity. As she was organizing the things to offer, out of nowhere, a vegetable vendor came to her house with a bunch of fresh coconuts. His timing was a clear proof of Mohanji’s divine intervention.

In Canada, the offerings were made to Sai Baba and a Guru Raksha Homa was planned for 29th October. Meanwhile, in the hospital in Lucknow, my sister’s husband had beautiful experiences. Despite his bad health, he was able to meditate, do Kriya and read ‘God talks with Arjuna‘. One morning as he was sitting in meditation, he saw two saints come and sit on the left side of his bed facing him. They were young, with black hair and bright orange clothes.

They both gave him something; one of them was like a yantra. As he opened his eyes, he did not see them, but when he closed his eyes again, he saw them sitting there. Now, a third saint came and sat on the right side of his bed. The saint asked for something from him, and he obliged. This went on for some time, and then the saints left. He then saw a clear blue sky in his vision and a deep, deep peace like never before descended on him. He went into complete bliss.

His medical reports kept fluctuating, and he kept testing positive. But because of Mohanji’s protection, his condition never worsened beyond a point. There was no need for ICU (except for a day or two), oxygen etc. On Thursday, 29th October, Mahesh Bhalerao conducted Guru Raksha Homa. The presence of Mohanji and various other deities was seen in the homa, as seen in the pictures. The following Sunday, 1st November, his Covid-19 report came back negative, and he was feeling just fine. He was discharged from the hospital the next day.

Of what could have been something very serious, Mohanji protected my family member through his sheer grace and mercy.

Miracles in a dream

side profile

By Bhumika and Eesha Arvind, Canada

My daughter Eesha wanted to share a dream she had of Mohanji. We had submitted the Consciousness Kriya application on August 23rd, 2020. Following that for the next 1 1/2 weeks, Eesha was getting angry at petty things, and she was doing things that may have gotten her in trouble. I thought that her growth spurt was causing this trouble. Something in me was intuitively also telling me that Mohanji is testing her. Anyways, Eesha really wanted to share her dream and her love for Mohanji and asked me to send this to Mohanji. I am writing this with a hope that it reaches Mohanji. Eesha is not my daughter; she is his daughter. I surrender at his lotus feet.

Eesha shares:

Hi, my name is Eesha, and I am 10 years old. I had submitted my application for Consciousness Kriya last month. After much anticipation and vigorous process, my application was accepted on September 27th. I had a dream of Mohanji on September 9th. He spoke to me about my Kriya application. My mummy encourages me to write my dreams. After that dream, I knew, for my heart said that Mohanji would accept my application, I told Mummy I am accepted for Kriya on that day. I am sharing my dream I had of Mohanji. He did many things like Sai Baba did, like Baba curing leprosy, and controlling fire.

 My dream:

It was a sunny day; my mummy was out feeding the birds; we were all outside. On the garage roof, there were two eagles. One was the bald eagle, and the other one was small and had golden streaks all over it. We were watching them. The smaller eagle with golden streaks came, flew around all of us and sat on mummy’s shoulder and stayed there. After some time, other animals started appearing, snakes, bunnies, lots of birds and then a tiger came.

The tiger was coming towards me; I got scared and went into the house. It followed me to the door. It was just standing there, looking at me, and it was talking to me as I heard it say, “Are you scared?” and I replied, “Yes, I am scared.” Then the tiger said, “Come out, I won’t hurt you; I just want to play with you.” When the tiger was talking to me, it felt like Shiva. His voice was sweet but deep like Shiva (not that I know Shiva’s voice, but that’s what I felt). When he was talking, some water was coming out of his head, and that reminded me of Shiva and the thing that struck me the most was the tiger’s skin as that was what Shiva wore in a picture. So, I went out, and I saw that mummy, daddy, and Haresh were not in the backyard anymore, they had gone somewhere.

I saw Mohanji sitting in front of the fire pit talking to a woman in our backyard. I felt like he was having a private meeting with her, as no one else was there, only me. They were talking in some language; I felt like Mohanji told her to get something from the garage because he pointed to the garage and said something, and then she went to the garage. When she was in the garage, Mohanji called me to him because I was still standing at the door. This time he called me in English.

I went and sat down in front of him not minding the grass pricking my skin. Then (like my mother would do) I folded my hands in front of him and prayed to him for a few minutes. Mohanji started talking to me. He said, “My dear child, you have been getting angry because I have been testing you to see if you are ready for Kriya.” When I looked up at him, I was confused as his lips weren’t moving when he was talking to me! Instead, he had folded his hands like me (Namaste), and it looked like he was praying to me when he was talking to me telepathically.

Then he continued to speak, “So you are asking me for another chance?” This time I was even more confused because I did not say anything like that; in fact, I had not said anything at all! Then I thought, maybe my soul is talking to him and instead of my human body. I told him in my head that everything happens for a reason, and everything is your doing. I just thought in my head, “Oh lord, I do not know what you want from me, but I know everything happens for a reason, and it is all your doing!” Then the woman came back and was speaking with Mohanji. When they finished talking, a crowd came to see Mohanji. (I was thinking my mom had seen Mohanji and had told everyone she knew and they had told everyone they knew and everyone had come).

Then, in the crowd, there was a guy with leprosy who came walking towards Mohanji. When he saw that Mohanji was with a big crowd and there was nowhere to sit, he started going towards the garage, but Mohanji called him to the swing. Mohanji asked someone to get a rudraksha mala and gave it to the man. When the man got the mala, Mohanji asked him to take the mala apart. The man took the beads apart, gave it to Mohanji. Mohanji blessed it with Udi that came out of his right hand, and he said, “Swallow these beads”. When the man swallowed the beads, his leprosy went away, and his leg went back to normal. The crowd was astonished as it happened in a snap of a finger.

The dream continued. This time I was at a school and Mohanji was teaching. It was my school with all of my friends, but Mohanji was the teacher. He taught us, and at the end of the day, we went home. Out of the blue, a fire started, and it became huge. We asked Mohanji to make the fire go as none of the fire trucks were able to put off the fire. So Mohanji came, and he told the fire, “Get down, get calm, what is this ruckus you are making.” He kept bashing the stick on the ground and with every bashing, the fire got smaller until it was gone.

Then we all went home; Mohanji was following me back to our house. He was going to have dinner, and he took his dinner outside. Mohanji after finishing food was lying on the grass, looking up at the stars. I was looking for Mohanji as I wanted to eat with him. I saw him in the front yard, and I thought he would leave as he had finished his food. I ran to him and sat down beside him and ate. We were talking, and when we were done, he hugged me and then we went to sleep. He came inside, and I checked on him before going to sleep to make sure he was sleeping at home.

Love you, Mohanji. I pray to you every day. When will you come to Edmonton, Canada?

A weekend in Skanda Vale and Mohanji’s presence without presence

By Arun Vathavooran, UK

I feel a deep connection with Skanda Vale (a spiritual centre and monastery located in Wales) and Mohanji. I don’t see many differences between them and see both as my right and left eyes, or my mother and father. I have been a regular devotee/pilgrim of Skanda Vale for the past 18 years and have had the blessed opportunity to see Guru Subramanium while he was in his body.

I met Mohanji for the first time (in this life) in 2015 in Skanda Vale but realised my connection with him in 2016 when I had the blessed opportunity to participate in the Kailash yatra with Mohanji. In those early days, I had a burning question in my mind, “Am I running from one Master to another?” I had an intuitive feeling that both were definitely connected and that I was not running away from one to the other. As days went by, I slowly realised my deep connection with Mohanji as well, and the question disappeared from the conscious mind. Initiations came one after the other. I was busy with my sadhana and serving the world. I also continued to frequent Skanda Vale regularly as usual with my family.

On one occasion, Mohanji had mentioned to me in a conversation, “Skanda Vale is your home”. I had asked him for more clarity, and he explained that my primary connection with the source (Lord and Guru Mandala) is through Skanda Vale. He said that is the case for me, and it will remain that way. I was happy that Mohanji had confirmed my deep connection to Skanda Vale.

The Skanda Vale ashram has temples for Lord Murugan, the Divine Mother and Lord Vishnu. My connection to Skanda Vale originally started as a devotee of Lord Murugan, but slowly I realised my connection with the Divine Mother as well. However, I wasn’t that connected to Lord Sri Ranganatha (Lord Vishnu) at the start. This is possible because I come from a very orthodox Saivite background and had always worshipped Lord Shiva, the Divine Mother, Lord Ganesh and my beloved Lord Murugan. I remember going to a Maha Vishnu temple time to time as a kid, but the worship of Lord Vishnu was never a part of our daily life.

However, since my connection to Mohanji, many concepts in my mind have started to fall apart one by one, and I have begun to connect to Lord Sri Ranganatha as well. Further, I started enjoying doing meditation in the beautiful Ranganatha temple as well. It has become a favourite place for mediation and Kriya when I stay at Skanda Vale. This beautiful temple has become the commonplace that I visualise when Mohanji says “Visualise a calm and serene place” in meditations.

Mohanji visited Skanda Vale in 2018 and presided over the prana prathishta (ritualistic installation of idols) ceremony of Lord Dattatreya and Nagaraja (Cobra). Needless to say, doing Kriya in front of Lord Datta has become one of my favourite activities while at Skanda Vale since the installation. I have also started to connect to Nagaraja and worship this deity for two reasons.

The first reason is that Mohanji installed it, so I looked at Nagaraja as Mohanji. The second reason being, I have understood from the feedback from a Mai-Tri session that a Naga Devata is always protecting my family and me as a guardian. Whenever I go to Skanda Vale, I go and offer fruit to Nagaraja and use it as an opportunity to express my gratitude to the Naga Devatas.

I have come to understand that the Nagaraja in Skanda Vale has various significance. Worshipped as a deity, the Swamis chant the Naga Gayatri during the puja. His presence gives protection, preventing any negativity from entering the area.

Om Sarparajaya Vidmahe

Padma Hastaya Dhimahi

Tanno Vasuki Prachodayat

The founder of Skanda Vale, Guru Subramanium, had received the authority from Lord Murugan to establish Sanathana Dharma in the west. He received this authority from a temple in the Sri Lankan town of Badulla where the snakes guard the sanctum of the temple. Guru Subramanium describes his experience in his autobiography entitled “Living with God” as follows (vol 2, chapter 8, pp110),

“As I sat there, I asked the Lord (Murugan) whether he would come and be with me. He appeared and simply said that he would. He then appeared again, but this time accompanied by a three-headed cobra, and the cobra began asking me questions.” – Guru Subramanium

The way I understood this was that the three-headed cobra which accompanied Lord Murugan in Guru Subramanium’s experience was an integral part of Lord Murugan, and the Nagaraja idol in Skanda Vale represents this aspect of the Lord. However, I always worshipped Nagaraja as a combination of the Naga Devata and my beloved Guru Mohanji.

Recently, I have had a beautiful experience that somehow became the revelation to the question I had mentioned at the beginning of the blog, which was deeply buried in my subconscious mind. I went to Skanda Vale with my family and had messaged Mohanji about my trip. He replied immediately saying “Go ahead, please give my love to all there, I shall be there too, spend enough time with Datta. You will feel me there. Blessings.”

Nagaraja in Skanda Vale

On the first day, I got up early in the morning as usual to practice Kriya. I had a shower and went to the shrine of Lord Datta at exactly 4:30 AM. As I walked towards the Datta shrine, I had to pass Nagaraja to enter the temple where the Datta shrine is located. As usual, I stopped in front of Nagaraja with the intention of saying a quick prayer of gratitude. As I stopped, even before I closed my eyes, I felt a jerk in my lower back and felt a sharp movement from the root of my spine to the upper back. I instantly recognised that this is Mother Kundalini playing and closed my eyes to say my prayer. As I closed my eyes, I felt that Mohanji was saying inside me, “If your Kundalini responds spontaneously, you should pay close attention to the place”. I stayed there for a few minutes worshipping and expressing my gratitude to my beloved Guru and the Naga Devatas and walked into the temple to practise Kriya.

My Mohanji Acharya sister Moushumi also joined me, and we practised Kriya there in front of Lord Datta. Shortly after starting Kriya, I clearly heard someone open the door of the temple and walking towards me, but I didn’t want to open my eyes during Kriya, so I ignored the sound of the steps that came close. It was an amazing Kriya experience with a lot of energy. At the end of the Kriya, Moushumi asked me, “Did you hear the sound of the door opening and a person walking nearby?” I agreed. She further said she had opened her eyes to check, but to her surprise, no one was there. Mohanji’s promise the previous day came to my mind immediately, “I shall be there too; you will feel me there.” Mohanji always fulfils his promises.

Lord Dattatreya in Skanda Vale

I then went to the puja in the Murugan and Shakti temples with this beautiful energy and feeling the presence of Mohanji with me, followed by my breakfast.

At 9:30 AM, I went to the Sri Ranganatha temple for the puja with my family. This puja includes a prayer for Nagaraja as well. When we assembled in front of Nagaraja, Swami started the puja. I noticed that he recited a mantra for Mahavatar Babaji during the Nagaraja puja and paid more attention.

Om Skanda Avatharaya Vidmahe

Shiva Tatvaya Dhimahi

Tanno Babaji Prachodayat

Listening to this beautiful prayer brought goosebumps, and I felt that the answer to my long-standing question about the connection between Skanda Vale and Mohanji had been revealed to me. (Mohanji’s deep connection to Babaji can be read in the following blogs).

Mohanji’s words about Babaji flashed in my mind immediately, “Boganathar was well aware who his disciple was when Babaji approached him in Kadirgamam as a little boy. Later, Boganathar used his disciple (Babaji) as a model for making the Navapashana vigraham (idol) of Lord Murugan in Palani, a temple in South India. It was indeed Lord Murugan who took an avatar as Mahavatar Babaji.” The circle closed within my mind with this revelation, but Mohanji wanted to make it unequivocally clear in my mind, so he had arranged other events.

On completion of the puja, we as a family received blessings from the Lord, had prasad (sacred offerings from puja) and walked to the children’s play area so that my kids could play. On my way, I bumped into one of the monks at Skanda Vale. I immediately told him that I had felt Babaji’s presence at the Nagaraja shrine. He responded instantly saying, “I think you are right, the way I understood this is that Babaji is a very powerful Master beyond forms, but he can take any form to reach out to us. He took the form of the three-headed Nag when the Lord gave authority to Guruji to establish Skanda Vale.” This was a reconfirmation for me of what I felt. I understood from these words that the integral part of Lord Murugan that accompanied the Lord in Badulla when he gave the authority to Guru Subramanium was indeed Mahavatar Babaji himself.

Mohanji had arranged further confirmation as well. We then went to the Maha Abishekam and puja to Lord Shanmuga in the Murugan temple and had lunch at the temple as usual. I happened to speak to one of the senior Swamis of Skanda Vale at lunch. After discussing various topics briefly, our conversation went to Babaji. I shared that I had felt Babaji’s presence in the Nagaraja shrine. He simply responded, “Babaji and Lord Murugan are not different; they are essentially the same”. This was the final confirmation to the question that was deeply buried in my subconscious mind; the connection between Skandavale and Mohanji.

Mahavatar Babaji is an incarnation of Lord Murugan. Babaji was also present (in the form of the three-headed cobra) while the Lord gave Guru Subramanium the authority to establish Skanda Vale. Mohanji is deeply connected to Babaji. My love and devotion to Lord Murugan and then to Mohanji when I met him is a perfectly normal progression in my spiritual journey. I felt immense gratitude to Mohanji for clarifying every aspect of my question, as soon as I became eligible to understand his revelations.

Pranams at your holy feet, my beloved Guru Mohanji.

Moushumi Patankar, UK

I went to Skanda Vale recently. I knew that Arun and his family would also arrive the following day. When he arrived, the first thing he told me was that the next morning (on Saturday) he was going to do Kriya in front of Lord Datta and invited me to join him. Well, that’s always my favourite place to do Kriya. I told him, “Yes”, but couldn’t do Kriya on Saturday at that time. Till the afternoon, I was super busy with some work or the other. By 3:30 PM, I finished my work, freshened up, and started Kriya around 3:50 PM at my favourite spot. During the Kriya, I heard the door of the Vishnu Temple banging very loudly, but I didn’t open my eyes. I continued with my Kriya and soon forgot about this door banging incident. Later that night, I got a WhatsApp message from someone, “Do Kriya in front of Datta with Arun.” I knew that I had missed doing Kriya with Arun that morning, and somehow Mohanji was telling me through someone about this. Well, we decided to do the Kriya early the next (Sunday) morning.

Lord Dattatreya in Skanda Vale

Early (Sunday) morning, we started free flow Kriya (without an alarm). It was pitch dark, no light, nothing. Just Datta in front of us (that’s what I thought)! As soon as we started Kriya, I again heard the sound of the door opening and closing, then the sound of footsteps. I was a little scared and told myself; perhaps it’s the wind (I remember closing the door tightly). I heard footsteps behind me, and I opened my eyes. I was looking at Datta and felt soothing energy and a voice saying, “Who else will be here?” I closed my eyes and started Kriya, and in a few seconds, the sound of the footsteps vanished. At one specific time, I heard a small bird tweeting, and that was the exact time to move on to the next step of the Kriya. After some time, I heard the sound of fish swimming, jumping in the water (there is a small pond with fish in it), and again, it was exactly the time for the next step in the Kriya. It was beautiful how nature was also assisting us in our spiritual practice.

When Kriya finished, I asked Arun about the footsteps, the sounds of the bird and the fish. He had the same experience too. While talking he mentioned that he did Kriya with me on Saturday afternoon as well and experienced the same incident of the door banging loudly. We both did Kriya at the same time, at the same place, and had the same experience!

Later that day, I was talking to someone from Skanda Vale, and I mentioned this experience. I already knew the answer, and this person confirmed my thoughts, “Who else? It’s Mohanji! He is always here, every moment!”

May Skanda Vale, Datta, and Mohanji always be with me!

Divine blessings
